a pack of bikers driving recklessly on a bay area freeway and then seen ignoring and even taunting a california highway patrol officer. good afternoon. i'm tori campbell. janine de la vega shows us the footage and tells us why the officer was unable to stop them. >> reporter: they are doing wheelies and all sorts of stunts while speeding on of 80 through milpitas to san jose. this video was posted on youtube earlier this week. in it, you can hear the siren of a california highway patrol officer chasing the pack of bikers. [ sirens ] >> reporter: this video which was shot on a helmet camera shows the officer on a motorcycle in the right lane trying to pull over some of the bikers. but they ignore his siren and refuse to stop. they continue to speed and zigzag between traffic. at a certain point, the biker shooting the video pulls up to the officer who tries to talk

to hill. no one pulls over. the officer rides away and the biblers wave goodbye-- bikers wave goodbye. we showed the video to this biker. >> i think the chp needs to get them off the road. they need to pull their licenses. >> they should definitely come to a stop and respect law enforcement. >> reporter: the video shows the group raising their fists after the officers leaves almost to show they were victorious not getting tickets and being able to outpower the officer. the officer did call for backup because he was outnumbered and felt it was a dangerous situation. >> he was attempting to get backup. he determined that there was potential for people to get hurt. >> one of these guy days, they are gonna probable that kill somebody on the road -- gonna

kill somebody on the road. i see them all of the time. >> reporter: the city may look into studying this video further to see if they can track down the bikers. they are not shy about posting these videos if you look around. an animal rights group claims cruel conditions at a north bay duck form. the group mercy for animals says one of its members shot the video while she worked undercover at the rikart duck form. the sonoma county sheriff's office took a team of investigators to the farm yesterday. a sheriff's spokeswoman said they found no violations or anything out of the ordinary. a san francisco supervisor is demanding an apology after a tour bus guide goes on a racist rant through the city's chinatown neighborhood. a tourist captured the incident with a cell phone on what was supposedly the tour guide's

town [bleep] >> for the people in that tour bus to clap for something like that, that's really -- i mean, it's unbelievable. >> reporter: the woman complains about san francisco's lack of affordable housing but her message far from a public service announcement. >> this is a horrible place to live. if you are considering moving to san francisco, although this is the cheapest neighborhood, do in the live here. >> but you always have a right to say what you can say on your mind. whatever you have to say get it off. >> reporter: freedom of speech is a right but investigators are looking into the brown bottle the guide appears to be drinking from. open alcohol containers in vehicles, not open for legal debate. there is one bright spot in the two and a half-minute recording. a message the whole city can support. the woman seen in the video has still not been identified but according to the video, yesterday was her last day from

the bus company. they released a statement a short while ago. it says they deeply apologize to the residents of chinatown for the conduct. the company says they are adding additional training for its guides. live in the newsroom, katie utehs, ktvu channel 2 news. >> all right. thank you, katie. san francisco's embattled fire chief said she will survive a growing number of calls for her resignation but today leaders of the various employee groups including the union told joanne hayes-white they want her out. tara moriarty is live from headquarters where the two sides sat down for the first time. did it get a little tense, tara? >> reporter: it's really loud. it looks like the kansas city royals arrived into town. so they are blocking off the area around the ballpark as the buses make their way down. i wanted to let you know about that bit there.

but things did get a bit heated inside of this closed-door meeting here at san francisco fire department headquarters. these two sides were supposed to sit down and come together on their differences. but when the rank and file stepped out of meeting, they made it clear they are not willing to budge on their position. >> we've lost hope in the chief of this department and her ability to manage this fire department. >> reporter: leaders representing half a dozen groups within the fire department sat down for the first time with the chief to try to hash out their differences. >> we felt that the chief has not been advocating for this fire department, for the rank and file of this fire department. we feel like the system is now broken. >> reporter: the group called for her resignation last month. >> i would like to think it's a very vocal minority. they are entitled to their opinions. from the majority of the department, i have received a lot of support, a lot of phone calls, a lot of e-mails, stay

the course. >> if the chief votes, we can have an entire vote of the membership but it's the collective will by an overwhelming of the membership that it's time for new leadership. >> reporter: on the forefront, the city's am plans shortage. dispatch records show patients on life-threatening calls waiting up to an hour or an hour and a half for an ambulance. the maximum time allowed is ten minutes. >> our paramedics and firefighter paramedics that staff our engines and emts are really on a grave crisis every day. i want to reiterate this isn't a crisis that's been manifesting over the last couple of months. this has been literally for the last ten years. >> that's kind of the straw that broke the camel's back but there's issues whether it's training, facilities, you know, the morale within the department is incredibly low. >> reporter: both the mayor and the san francisco fire commission have the power to

out of her. the mayor has backed joanne hayes-white. they are hiring an independent automatic ditter to do an appraisal of the chief which would present mayor ed lee as well as the fire commission. live from san francisco, i'm tara moriarty, ktvu channel 2 news. >> all right. thank you, tara. and oakland police are investigating an early-morning shooting that happened in the city's fruitvale district. they say a 28-year-old woman was shot and killed around 3:30 this morning on 29th avenue. so far, there's no order on what led up to the shooting and no arrests have been made. the threat level has increased but canada's parliament is open today. a day after a deadly shooting attack there kills an army reservist. members of parliament welcomed and thanked the sergeant at arms credited with taking down the shooter. 58-year-old kevin vickers is the man.

the shooter is identified as michael zehaf-bibeau. officials classified him as a high-risk traveler with ties to syria. his passport may have been seized. today canada's prime minister is pledging tougher security. >> we will be vigilant but not run scared. we will be prudent but will not panic. as for the business of government, hee we are in our -- here we are in our seats in the chamber and our work goes on. [ applause ] >> officials say michael zehaf- bibeau was a lone gunman. today his mother said she's crying for the victims of the shooting, not her son. officials say the man who jumped over a fence yesterday at the white house did it before. this video was shot last night as 29-year-old dominic adesanya of maryland was subdued by dogs and security agents. a secret service spokesman said he was arrested in july for climbing over a security barrier a and was taken into

people in one north san jose neighborhood are still being told to boil their water. people in the three-block area near the milpitas border have been warned the water may not be safe to drink because of e. coli contamination. reportedly, three people have

become sick. ktvu has learned the utility actually discovered the contamination problem three days earlier. >> for a period of 48 to 72 hours, people were delivered the bacteria-infected water. >> the water company is considering changing the notification policy. the company hopes to restore regular water service tomorrow or saturday. the highway patrol is investigating a crash on a busy east bay freeway involving four big rigs. it happened around 9:00 a.m. on north interstate 880 under the marina overcrossing in san leandro. three lanes were blocked. no injuries were reported. newschopper2 flew over as the trucks were stopped under the overpass which is under construction. it looks like one of the rigs got wedged underneath. emergency crews were called in to mop up fluid that looked

onto the roadway. san francisco giants getting ready to rush home to host the kansas city royals in game 3 of the world series. although the game is still a day away, the city is abuzz with world series excitement. john sasaki joins us from at&t park to let us know what preparations are already underway. good afternoon, john. >> reporter: hey, tori. that buzz is deafening here. the excitement, very, very high. the royals just pulled in in team buses. fans were out there watching them, probably razzing them a little bit. but also security is tight. we watched as police with bomb- sniffing dogs walked in around the ballpark making sure everything is safe for this huge event. a lot of deliveries are arriving and homeland security officials are keeping a close eye on them. one u.p.s. trucker arrived at the park which included a bomb-sniffing

system. the team doesn't arrive until this -- sorry, one big delivery we saw the as i rifle of all of the -- arrival of all of the giants' equipment. but the team does not arrive until this afternoon. as you can imagine, the energy here and around the city is high. >> we can see the whole sky line from our apartment. it's all orange. you know, we're walking down the street with our hats on. >> we've got the home field advantage. these are the best fans in the world. no telling what will happen. but these giants, we are feeling really good about this. >> there was the misfit and the torture and now it's a different way of winning. it's not the long ball. it's not fund mental. it's a mixture of pitching here and there and then luck. >> reporter: and there is nothing wrong with luck. the dugout store is bustling with activity as it will be all weekend long.

special edition giants' champagne. a popular restaurant in sausalito is getting into the world series spirit. bar bocce is now bar bochy. of course, named for the giants' manager. the restaurant says it will stay that way for the rest of the world series. they are offering half-price specials during games. every world series game can be seen right here on ktvu. our coverage of game 3 starts at 2:00 tomorrow afternoon. we'll be live at at&t park. first pitch just after 5:00. games 4 and 5 also at at&t on saturday and sunday. well, almost two forecasts here. one to the north and one to the north if you are up north, you have a lot of clouds and maybe light rain. it's in the 60s. if you are southward, it's sunny, probably mostly sunny. it's warm and 70s. the big system is churning in the gulf of alaska. it's sending all of this cloud cover right there. watch how this cloud cover goes. it's starting to lift.

there's just -- it's not going to do too much here. the rain line looks like it will stay up in mainly mendocino county and also lake county. that's not very much. it tried and tried. but from santa rosa to calistoga north, it looks like that's where it will stay. south of that, there's not much. there's been good rain. point arena, fort bragg and points north there's been good rain. it's trying in the russian river. it looks light. we'll keep it in there for today. by tomorrow, it will be out of the picture. you can see it's all cloud cover. temperatures are in the 60s. 60s and 70s. temperatures,lets go north first. lakeport is 62. some 60s but then you head south and you can find mild to warm temperatures. it will get even warmer. would not be surprised if we had low 80s. north bay too much in the way of cloud cover. not much of a breeze. there's a little bit. it's starting to turn

southerly. that will be in anticipation of the system tomorrow as it begins to deepen. 64, 67, tahoe and reno. look at monterey, low 70s. it's warm. especially santa cruz, capitola, down to watsonville. we have partly cloudy skies for some. mostly sunny to the south and then cloudy to mostly cloudy to the north and the rain will make it to the north but it won't go much farther south. the system will swing in but not until saturday morning the that will give us rain, not a lot but it will give us some. watch how the cloud start to lift out by late tonight and tomorrow. boy do they accelerate out of the picture. fog comes out of the coast. here's the rain line as it starts to come in overnight friday into saturday and then blasts through i think about 6:00 7:00 in the morning. heads up to the sierra nevada, there will be a secondary piece coming in. it looks like it wants toive faker the north bay saturday afternoon. might dip into ma rip county. i think game 4 is fine. it will be cooler and breezy and there will be some clouds

in there. tomorrow looks breezy and warm. we do have some of that rain on the north coast. really stacking up the . you get south, there won't be too much. so that's where the main focus is. we'll take the rain. there's rain up in redding and red bluff. that's good. mostly cloudy. 60s for some. but 70s for others. again, kind of stuck. if you have that cloud cover. but if you don't, you will feel tropical like. in advance of really warm in the santa clara. for some as well in the sun. 60s and 70s. game 3 looks fine. fog, partly cloudy. breezy and mild out of the southeast. maybe even 74. that's what i'm going with. but then it will cool down on saturday. early-morning rain tori and then just kind of a cooler, breezy pattern. sunday looks very cool. back to mild on monday. we'll eight get one system saturday morning. >> thank you. days after apple launched the new pay service there are

inbox would one day replace its popular gmail service. the app organizes and highlights details of messages, including receipts, bank statements, flight times and photos and displays them like a facebook news feed. the new app is expected to work on android, iphone and google chrome phone. but it's currently only available to users who have been invited to test it. apple is already reporting a glitch with its new mobile payment system. bank of america says some customers who used apple pay were charged twice. the glitch involved about a thousand transaction, all duplicate charges will be refunded. several retailers began accepting apple pay. on monday, the system allows customers to pay for purchases through the iphone 6 without swiping a credit card. in the past, baseball teams only had coaches and pitching and batting but today there's a lot more to prepare for big
