complete bay area news coverage continues right now, this is ktvu channel 2 news at 5:00 p.m. >> ktvu obtained a such warrant that outlines how a woman discovered the officer who booked her stole private photos from her cell phone. a chp is under investigation tonight after allegations that he sent private photographs of a woman he arrested from her cell phone to his. the contra costa county district attorney hasn't announced if he will be facing charges. ktvu's cristina rendon is live with more. is there any indication she isn't the only victim? >> reporter: yes, there is.

we spoke with the prosecutor who says they are looking into multiple victims, women who have been arrested and had photos sent to the cell phone of the officer. >> reporter: this home is at the center of a scandal involving a chp sean harrington. a search warrant shows investigators took a cell phone, a computer and a tablet containing six photos of a woman he arrested in august. the woman jailed for driving under influence says he took her cell phone and asked for the password. it wasn't till after she was released she noticed the photos were forwarded. the search showed the number belonged to sean harrington. her attorney calls it a violation of public trust. >> she has no idea where the

photographs are. who has seen them. who retransmitted the photographs and when they may or may not appear at any time throughout her life. >> reporter: documents confirm they were forwarded while she was jail. they are investigating additional similar cases. so far, though, they are only investigating this one officer. >> law enforcement officers are human beings like everybody else. they are sworn to uphold the law but sometimes like all human beings they fall short of what they are supposed to do. it happens. and it happened in this case. >> a decision on whether or not charnels will be filed will be announced next week. the chp says sean harrington
