the giant are fighting for a world series title from the moment they clench the pennant to a dominant win in game one. >> and starts and stops in game two. >> that's hammered into right. you want to silence the crowd? do that. home run blanco. >> tonight the giants have the home field advantage as the
4:02 pm
world series takes center stage in san francisco. and welcome back everyone. we are live in the curvey cove right across from at&t park where we have about an hour to go until the first pitch of game three of the world series. >> joining us now is mayor ed lee. thank you for coming by and we were talking a moment ago and we have an interesting tradition when it comes to where you are going to be sitting. >> i go down to the first low with larry bear and we have the first inning and that's when we settle down and it's like the pitchers settle on first inning and i go to my seat but it's been a tradition since the last world series and it's been working. >> the seats are first row. >> eye contact with every batter and even with the pitcher. >> talk about this is the third time in five years the giants have been in the world series an the national spotlight is now on san francisco.
4:03 pm
what does this mean for the city. >> first of all julius aie we are so lucky to have three times in five years and the world series means so much not just the economy but the period of time of the city. we love our sports teams but we have players in the community and owners helping with general hospital. you have players helping me sweep the streets with kids. it's the concept of the owners and investors. it's a great part of our economy but also a great part of our spirit so we are very lucky to have this. i'm so excited and i'm on the edge of my seat to make sure that hunter and posey and travis and of course the panda are going to be there and i hope they've bottom the best performance they can. >> did you go to giants games. are you a native. >> no i'm from seattle originally before the mariners and we had the seattle rain years but i came down here and
4:04 pm
fell in love with the giants. i was at the giants stadium before the 1989 earth earthquake and i remember that very vividly and that experience has helped me because we've done a lot of things to strengthen our city. >> we are going to let you find your way to your seats. so nice to have you. go giants. >> everyone thanks. >> mayor thanks very much. we want to go outside and talk to more fans. they have been out there all day outside the ballpark talking with fans and i heard you guys make a wedding proposal. >> we actually did see a wedding proposal. it new by about five minutes ago and i say fly by because it was up in the air a gentleman proposing to his fiance and said i love you will you mary me and i'm sure she said yes. >> right? >> of course she did. >> especially at the world
4:05 pm
series i would hope. >> you can't crush robert like that. >> no you can't. a lot of people were going to the game and a lot of people were not going to go to the game just living and working around here and you know you lived in the city and it takes over and a lot of people we talked to said even though they are not going to the game they are so glad it's here. >> ever since we walked down here i've been getting a lot of go giants and people pass us and say it. it's great. i think you have a really enthusiastic but polite fan base and i think kansas city is the same way so it's two great teams with i don't think any real bad blood. >> have you had sticker shock? what did you pay to park. >> we took an ub er here from the hotel. no sticker shock yet but we'll see when we get inside the park. it's a hassle using public transportation but it's good for the city and want to see people happy. >> think it's different for you
4:06 pm
today. >> there's a lot more people when i'm trying to leave for lunch. other than that. >> yeah so are you rooting on the giants then? >> of course. >> so there's a pain factor involved for all the people where live and work down here. the transit and expect delays until 10:00 p.m. and this is going tomorrow and sunday maybe. so again it is a very very busy time down here at the ballpark but again everybody is on the absolute best behavior. i haven't seen any side eye anybody. >> i heard sal talking about his favorite giant moment and that's the same as mine. that was historic in that the city never had a world championship and in 2012 i guess you could say the come back year down to the red zone and the cardinals and people were like i can't believe we are doing this again and here we are and i think the team and
4:07 pm
their teammates are filled with character. we've been here and done this before. travis you think about him the guy was in tears earlier in the season thinking he was going to leave the game land he is a hero. so i think no matter what san francisco giants fans around they come together during this time and that's the electricity we see when you are at home on the couch watching it or here at the ballpark eating must not cheese. >> that happen to be orange. my final orange snack i brought cheetos. we did wipe the orange dusk off before we joined you. we have about an hour to go until the start of world series game three right here in san francisco. i am asking for a third. >> should be fun. i know we had the wedding proposal and coach andy have some video of it. robert and his girlfriend kelly that he's in love with her and
4:08 pm
wants to know if she's going to marry him. we don't know where they are but we hope kelly said yes. >> i'm assuming she did. thank you so much for coming back to us and we hope that we can shuttle some of these snacks over your way frank and julie. with had orange soda carrot sticks and chootos and that's a full meal. >> it's a full meal deal. >> they sound pretty good right now. thanks very much. we want to get another check of the forecast, the weather. we talked about shifting winds. they kind of calmed a bit. >> they backed off but they are going to reincrease. once again as we head into the evening hours. i've been watching this little city behind us. >> isn't it great. >> with all the boats out there fascinating and all the energy here. we have been watching the flags all over the place and they have been moving around a
4:09 pm
little bit typical summer time breeze and the winds continue to pick up with a shift to the south so right now nothing too major but winds increasing out of the south so i'm sure the batters will notice that change later on in the 7th 8th and 9th innings. as far as the forecast we have partly cloudy skies and the one big challenge will be the rain showers for saturday and i could not rule on the the chance of a thunderstorms. tomorrow more breaks in the afternoon and by the evening hours we could have more scattered showers develop and a chance of a thunderstorm. sunday looks great but here is the forecasted modeel and remember a few days ago the chance of rain for tonight but the latest model is backing off on that so to the is just fine but the main event moves in on saturday with the rain showers paying us a visit but for today enjoy the great atmosphere and
4:10 pm
seeing dogs floating by on kayaking. >> there was a great shot of a guy on his surf board and his little dog had a banner on. it was great. >> i have an interesting story i used to be a news intern in san francisco and my job was to go to the lobby and pick up larry bear and this was before the stadium was built and he's coming up in the elevator talking to me and he had his model of at&t park and he was zoisited about it and i remember thinking it's going to take a long time. look where we are right now. >> did you know he worked for cal ex-radio and for a little while he was the voice of the oakland as. and he was i think the play by play guy for a little bit. not for long. >> that's a good story. we still have much more to come on this special pregame show counting down the clock. less than an hour ago.
4:11 pm
coming up next we are going to introduce you to a two-year- old. just incredible. >> this little two-year-old knows all the names of all the players and it's just priceless riching to him. >> we'll meet cameron when we come back. stay with us. more in just a moment.

4:15 pm
to like they did in game one get off to a quick lead because in part that negates the kansas city running game and they are not going to be running wild on the bases if they are up 4-0. >> they play better ahead and they need tim hudson to take the stress off the bull pen. >> i'm going to readdict whoever wins tonight's game is going to prewin the series. >> i like to do that. >> we'll see you after the game. >> absolutely. we will have all the positive game interviews for you. no need to touch your dial. we got to covered. we'll be in the clubhouse and have all the interviews and guests for you. in the meantime let's get back to frank and julie on the dock of the bay. >> sitting out here on the dock of the bay. >> you got it that sounds nice.
