and the giants finds themselves downgoing into the 7th inning. shot down the left hand line and that's going to score crawford with the giants first run. later in the inning morris would score on a ground ball by buster posey to cap the deficit to 3-2. you're thinking man they have three more innings to get it together. it was not to be. 3-2 your final. yet nothing but giant optimism in the clubhouse despite the 2- 1 deficit. you will hear from michael moorse who delivered the giants only extra base hit of the evening. michael morris. >> like you just said, can't win off of two games. in the clubhouse, that's where these guys are so professional. from the quality of their bats to the end. we don't give up. it's a beautiful thing about baseball we always have tomorrow. so we're going to go out tomorrow. we have bogey on the mound.

for tomorrow. the winds blowing in out of the south, that will really push the ball closer to left field. now here is the forecast for game four as we do have that coming up for you. we're talking about the chance for showers at least about a 40% chance. it will be cooler and winds around 35 miles per hour. here's the forecast model. the heaviest rain moves in saturday morning. we'll continue to put this into motion. some breaks in the action but look what happens by 5:00 we're tracking rain showers to the north and by 7:00 this particular forecast model, generating showers closer to san francisco. so i'll just keep a close eye on the forecast for tomorrow. because we're still talking about the chance of a few rain drops. a warning about scammers preying on giant fans. the trick that could allow thieves to profit off of world series social media posts. and golden gate bridge tolls keep going up. but it may not just be drivers paying. the step taken today toward charging walkers and bikers

the string of crimes. >> reporter: the chaos spread from sacramento to auburn and the man hunt lasted six hours. for reasons unknown, the gunman shot four people killing a deputy from sacramento county and another deputy in neighboring placer county. >> reporter: this is the suspect bound on a goruney on his bay to the hospital for treatment after a day of violence. two deputies approach a suspicious car on this motel parking lot. a man and woman inside, the driver opened fire. >> at least one of those rounds struck deputy oliver in the forehead which caused his death. >> reporter: deputy danny oliver. his partner fired at the car which sped away. moments later an attempted carjacking at a near by neighborhood. >> the owner of that vehicle did not fight back against the attempted carjacking and was

himself shot in the head. >> reporter: that victim was taken to the hospital. a second carjacking of this white mustang followed. you can see a handgun in the passenger seat. then a third carjacking of this red ford pickup truck. a massive search moved from the original scene in sacramento north up interstate 80 to auburn. that's where two placer county sheriff deputies located and approached a red pickup. they were both shot. michael davis jr. father of four was killed. >> michael was 42 years old. would have been 43 next wednesday. marcelo marquez hit inside an auburn home before he was arrested. >> i think there's those people that would say you know what, i wish he had killed him. no, that's not who we are.

we're not him. >> the other placer sheriff deputies were shot in the arm. he'll be okay. it is unclear what injuries the suspect suffered also unclear the motive that led to all of this. ken pritchett, ktvu channel 2 news. the placer county sheriff revealed a piece of news that only added to the tragedy. turns out the father of davis was a sheriff deputy in river side county. he was also shot and killed in the line of duty. it was on the same date 26 years ago. the governor's of new jersey and new york are ordering a mandatory quarantine for travelers who have had contact with ebola patients in west africa. tonight a health care worker returning from west africa with a fever has already been quarantined at newark airport in new jersey. the first american nurse to be infected is free out virus and out of the hospital. john fowler tells us she met

with president obama. >> reporter: the dallas nurse, the first person to get ebola on u.s. soil visited the white house today. got a hug from president obama. and another from the head of the nih who declared her free of the ebola virus. >> i am on my way back to recovery even as i reflect on how many others have not been so fortunate. >> reporter: 33-year-old dr. craig spencer tonight is in isolation at new york's bellview hospital. he treated patients in guinea. returned home last friday, road a subway, went bowling, road a taxi, and stopped by a restaurant. >> we have a full coordinated effort that has been working literally night and day. >> reporter: crews decontaminated spencer's apartment. his fiance is also reportedly

being monitored. new york officials insist there's no risk to the public. >> we've had clear and strong protocalls from the beginning. >> reporter: ebola remains a threat to u.s. national security say some. and the best way to help this country is help west africa where the ebola epidemic remains out of control. john fowler, ktvu news. nurses unions are calling on congress and the white house to step up safety procedures for the people caring for ebola patients. this is the first appearance of ebola in the western hemisphere and the preparedness is rapidly ramping up. >> we are extremely serious on our focus of protecting americans health secure. the best way to do that is to

stop the ebola outbreak in west africa. >> authorities want a ban to prohibit people traveling from west africa to the u.s. the university of california says all five of its medical centers are ready to care for ebola patients. that includes a hospital in san francisco along with uc hospitals in los angeles, sacramento, san diego, and irvin. the california nurses association disagreed and says nurses need more training and safety equipment. at this time, there are no confirmed cases of ebola in california. we have high clouds moving in the bay area right now. still waiting for the rainfall but that will be moving on shore first thing tomorrow morning. here's our next system this area of low pressure here. that draping cold front approaching our coastline. in terms of the rainfall right now it is approaching cape

mendecino. also increasing will be the wind speeds at last check winds not extremely strong but a bit of a breeze out there. oakland airport winds out of the south at 14 miles per hour. some more reports sfo winds out of the south at six and in san jose you can see winds around 8 miles per hour. forecast headlines for this next system, rainfall will be in the order about .1 of an inch in the south way. could be approaching .3. windy with winds approaching 20 to 30 miles per hour and some lingering instability behind the main front will boost at least the chance of a few isolated thunderstorms. now in terms of the winds as i mentioned they'll continue to pick up. as a result we have a wind advisory to come up. that begins at 3:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. this in place for the coast and the hills with the winds increasing with a gust could be approaching 45-miles-an-hour. once again, we talked about this earlier with the giants

week near uva are those of hannah graham. the 18-year-old disappeared about one month ago. the last man seen was graham 32- year-old jesse matthew is under arrest tonight and charged with abduction. police in new york city say a hatchet attack on officers yesterday was an active terror act by a home grown radical. this video shows thompson rushing toward four rookie police officers with a hatchet. the other two officers shot and killed thompson. police say he was a navy veteran and self-radicalized his online postings called for a violent jihad. a decision tonight about moving forward on a new toll plan at the golden gate bridge. walkers and bikers both sounded off today as the plan to charge them for crossing the bridge came to a close. >> later a dangerous pest discovered in the south bay. the threat it poses has

pedestrians and bicyclists on the bridge. >> reporter: dozens of people showed up to tonight's meeting at the board of directors they're upset about a proposal that would allow the bridge district to study the idea of charging people a toll to walk or bicycle across the golden gate bridge. everyone who spoke urged the board to take the proposal off the table. >> i just don't see where it's going to be economically helpful to put obstacles in the space of people who are demonstrating healthy, physical, emotional environmental health. >> you're creating a whole new type of revenue collection. it's really unclear how you would do that. >> reporter: the district is facing a $33 million deficit over five years and has to do something to close it. charging a toll to use the sidewalk is just one of dozens of ideas the district is studying. no actual amount has been discussed. but in the end, the bridge district made up mostly of

concerning the sale of eggs. starting in january, the state will ban the sale of eggs layed by hens that are kept in cramped cages. the law requires out of state sellers to comply with the new standard. today, six states filed an appeal of a federal judges ruling upholding the ban. those states say the law will cost their egg farms hundreds of millions of the dollars. people eating at a taqueria are out of the hospital and recovering tonight after an automobile disrupted their meal last night. a driver stopped outside of the taqueria when she accidentally accelerated and drove right into the restaurant. the woman who was struck and killed by a motorized cable car yesterday has now been

identified as 68-year-old priscilla morreto. she worked in the city's office as a senior tour guide. it will conduct an investigation into the collision. this is video from one of the body cameras of one of the newark offices. the woman crashed head on into a tree. the 55-year-old resident of union city was unresponsive, wedged. >> and the car was on fire. but the three officers managed to free her and get her to the hospital where she is now in stable condition. police say that the woman may have been speeding. light spread rainmaking its way toward the bay area. i'm timing the latest system and how much wet weather it could bring. >> destroying a dangerous pest before it destroys the south bay citrus industry.

quarantine. ktvu's ann rubin has details on efforts to kill a bug before it kills the trees. >> reporter: they're wasting no time. state and county officials are spraying every citrus tree after a pest moved in. >> we think we caught the infestation early. >> reporter: it was found on nine trees. they've been placed on a quarantine. >> we are hoping to kill every one that is here and keep it from spreading. >> reporter: the bug itself isn't dangerous but the disease it often scaries can be. it carries something called citrus greening. citrus growers are worried. >> we kind of -- kind of figured it was a matter of time before it hit florida. >> reporter: florida has
