expand their service, 5 ferries from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and they will leave as soon as they are loaded. people are encouraged to buy tickets in advance and all those who plan to go to the parade tomorrow should have their orange and black ponchos packed. chief meteorologist bill martin is here now. >> rain in the forecast. it will happen. it will be wet getting to the parade. during the parade it might be dry. let's take a peak at what we are looking at. come in close. coming up tomorrow, parade forecast, looking for rain tomorrow morning. that impacts the morning commute. what we are looking at in terms of the afternoon or the morning hours you got showers, scattered showers along the parade route at noon. heaviest rain, heaviest rain will be just at 7:00 a.m.

there was only one person. a woman was found in the water 250 feet down. she was pulled from the water and pronounced dead. no word as to why they are on the rocks. man from richmond hospitalized in serious condition after being shot by police. ktvu's yawn s is here from the -- john sasaki is here from the scene of the shooting as investigators figure out what prompted police it open fire. >> reporter: this is where it began. you can see firefighter hours later police are still -- 5 hours later police are still here. two officers spotted a man breaking into a car. this is the pacific east shopping mall. the officers tried to stop that man. that man who was 19 years old ran off and once he got into his car he dragged one of the officers who was hanging from the door and bumped into the other officer who then opened fire on him. that suspect then got away.

oakland. a strong smell caused evacuations at schools and city hall this afternoon. we will show you a map, the odor was notice from the b.a.r.t. station all the way across downtown to foothill boulevard at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon. >> as a precaution we are dismissing early including after school programs. not just schools in downtown and west oakland. >> at first only five schools along with city offices evacuated on their own. while pg&e looked into the cause. as the odor spread the school district decided to send all students home early. >> we are getting reports of students experiencing nausea, so even though there was no

last sunday a young mother of four was shot and killed in oakland. now police have a suspect in custody and today we learned more about how he was taken into custody. he was arrested in sacramento county and investigators say they found the weapon they think was used during the shooting. ktvu's noelle walker is outside police headquarters there in oakland. and she spoke with the victim's husband. >> reporter: opd and the community have not always had the best working relationship but investigators say this arrest is an example of what

can happen when they work together. >> we are here today to announce a arrest in the homicide case. >> reporter: four days since the mother of four was gunned down in the monday of sunday afternoon. she was on her way home from the store with her husband. >> called for me to call 911. to say his wife was shot. >> reporter: this morning police announced an arrest. but kept details close to the vest. >> you heard it was possible road rage. there is nor details than that of course. >> news helicopter was ovhead and police arrest -- over head when police made an arrest. they found him yesterday in elk grove along with the car he was driving and the gun used in the shooting. investigators say he is the only suspect believed to be the soul person responsible for the

b.a.r.t. after a tree fell on the tracks. b.a.r.t. says the tree fell on the tracks between the concord and north concord station. right now b.a.r.t. is single tracking trains through the area so riders may have to get off and wait for the next train going in their direction. bottom line, major delays in the east bay. two brothers accused of carrying out a brutal beating during the 49ers game were in court today. they did not enter a plea. they are charged with felony assault. prosecutors say they attacked two men on october 5 in the rest room. bail for one of the brothers was lowered to $250,000 and the other was increased to 150,000. they were ordered to return to court january 20. governor jerry brown tast his vote today.

posted it. ktvu's ann rubin with how investigators tracked him down and what else you learned. >> reporter: the person who posted the video was well known in stunt riding circles and his screen name led police to his real name and to him. >> reporter: investigators say it was this video that lead to the arrest of the man who recorded it. it shows 50 motorcycle riders on 680 popping wheeling, standing on their seats and taunting a chp officer trying to pull them over. >> we have every belief she the vidrography and refusing to pull over. >> reporter: he was arrested last night. authorities call him a semi- professional stunt rider. he posts videos and photos and that linked the video and led

state -- killing a trooper in tennessee is now in custody. authorities said today eric matthew frein surrendered to authorities. the suspect is a survivalist and has been on the fbi's most wanted list since september 12 when he killed a state trooper and injured another and then disappeared into the woods and alluded authorities for 48 days despite a massive man hunt. university of california at berkeley is reinviting a controversial guest after a student group decided to disinvite bill maher after 4,000 signatures were gathered to cancel his appearance. organizers say he is a bigth and a racist -- bigot and a racist but the school says they value free speech even if it doesn't agree with his rules and policies for selecting

board has a big problem. and concerned parent contacted ktvu's eric rasmussen. he is here with what he found. >> the candidate denies he wrote the internet posts including one that talks about the benefits of beating up wives and kids. but some parents point to evidence online and a pattern of behavior that they say suggests otherwise. >> reporter: the prize in november, a seat on the school board. a district responsible for the education of 20,000. why this mom is so troubled by what she reading online. >> i thought it was joke. >> reporter: she is one of several parents speaking up on this message board. >> the men have been beating up their wives.

a missing hunter was found alive after surviving 7 days in the wilderness with his dog. he is in the middle. he went missing, he said during his 7 days and 6 nights he survived on grubs, lizards and grasshoppers. 14 agencies sent volunteers and on tuesday they spotted him and
