two big elk are tapg tangled up in antlers and something else. see the heroes who finally set them free. it's a scary case of road rage. >> [ bleep ]. >> what led up to the moment of impact. >> hey! >> [ bleep ] you! >> tis the season for the reddit gift exchange and all those videos of the moment that they unwrap their gift. >> find out how you can get in on the circle of happiness. >> it's become a really important part of a lot of people's lives. plus, the buzz word for your

shot at an ipad mini. and he built her girlfriend a treasure chest with all her favorite things. but look, why the bottom drawer is always the best. >> wow! >> what i have here is a couple of animal videos that really play on statistics. kind of like one in a million, just random moments. this first video comes from david, who just so happened to see a few hundred yards from the highway what seemed like two elk. the two were obviously involved in a fight. but you can see here there's one on the floor and the one still standing, the one who is still alive. you see this? that's barbed wire. >> oh. >> completely tangled up. eventually, he was able to get himself free. >> wow. >> stands up, kind of drunkenly. >> he's got to be exhausted. >> he's creeping out like, maybe they haven't seen me. >> three really lucky things,
9:02 am
the lucky elk, and the warden sort of helping out. the next animal video is also a one in a million. suddenly, this mule deer comes along, and it looks like something's on his antler. we're going to play the game, guys. >> what's on this deer's antler? is it one, a mushroom? two, an eyeball from another deer? three, a powder donut, or four, a marshmallow? what do we think? >> i hope it's a marshmallow where he was making s' mores. >> i'm going eyeball. >> me too. >> he's got a do nut on his horn! >> he has a powdered donut on his antler! >> yes, no, easy. this is weird. >> this is strange because this deer is so cool with the guy being here. this is the new campaign of mule deer to try and get the hunters to stop shooting them. hey, guys.
9:03 am
bringing you some donuts. [ laughter ] >> the deer comes right up to him. >> you've got to eat that donut. >> would you eat it? >> you have to. >> but eventually, it sort of wandered away just sort of bemused by the situation, as was i. there is never an appropriate time for road rage. i think the most inappropriate time, when families are trying to pick up their children from school. inside this family vehicle, steven caligan and his wife heading to pick up their children. watch what happens. the guy behind the wheel of that car, not happy. >> [ bleep ] >> he is screaming expletives out of his window at the people in this car. >> hey, buddy. >> crazy! what the hell? >> this guy is so full of rage that he at speed rammed right into this car, almost rammed them into a telephone pole.
9:04 am
they were absolutely terrified. that's why they had their smartphones running because they realized how angry this guy was. they weren't expecting this. you might wonder why, what got this guy so mad. according to the caligans, the guy in the blue sedan was in the middle of the road, and they had to beep the horn and go around him, as did a couple of other cars. and it set him off. and here he comes right into their car. >> such an extreme reaction. i couldn't believe it. >> to many people, their car is their most valuable possession. why would you just smash that up? >> they got a good shot of that guy's number plate and the face. what happened? >> they just posted that the police did a great job. the driver of that blue sedan has been located, and he will be charged. >> good. yeah. absolutely. thank you for everyone being here tonight. >> you are watching the halftime
9:05 am
ceremony at a middle school seventh grade football game. this is homecoming. and you see those boys right there, number 11 and number seven? they are colton and cooper, respectively. they are brothers. but the boys just think, oh, we're just having a homie comin ceremony, until the coach starts saying something important. >> tonight, i want to recognize a special family who has had to endure a lot in the last year and a half because of their father being overseas to fight for our country. >> the boys are asked to stand on the 50 yard line, and their mother and sister are asked to join them. >> the respected return date is going to be november 20. >> but guess what? dad is coming home, and he is surprising them. >> cool! >> they start looking around, and then they start running, and then they start hugging and kissing, and it's happy. >> that's so great, because it's
9:06 am
a big night anyway. homecoming is a huge event, and now the whole family gets to celebrate together. we want to say a big congratulations to melissa beal. she is our latest winner in our ipad mini give away. she watches the show in new york. congratulations again, melissa. for everybody else out there, if you want your chance to win, that chance is coming up in just a little bit. >> so easy to enter. all you need is monday's buzz word. you need to be 18 or older and a legal u.s. resident. >> the buzz word is coming up, everybody. >> stand by, everyone, for the ipad mini give away! time to get low. with some airplanes. normally you see them way up in the sky. this video happened a couple of years ago, but it was just uploaded. they are going right at each other. >> i love that stuff. >> don't you know this is impending doom, looks like certain death. >> it's an amazing precision
9:07 am
thing, but if you get it wrong, it's trouble on a big scale. >> yeah. that heart rate is actually up. i feel a little bit like losing it from watching this because it is -- it's like there's like a little hair in between them. that's about it. >> you can't be like, oh, almost got that right. >> yeah. >> whoa! because it means death otherwise. >> that was some low-level flying. let's get up higher with a remote control plane. but what you're going to see is going to make you a little sick. it is not a cloudy day in china. it is just a very smoggy day. we've all heard about this situation in china. this extreme smog that plagues some of the larger cities. this plane with a camera onboard starts to climb through the muck and the pollution and the horrible air. what you see there is not a street light. it's the sun. the sun almost completely plotted out by all the grossness in the air. finally, you can start to see
9:08 am
the blue sky, mother earth, up above. 14,000 feet. if you want to breathe clearly and you live in china, you need to get up to about 15,000 feet. >> you think l.a., places like that are bad, then you see something like this and it makes you really sad. >> it's a real problem and shown with a small remote control airplane. this guy is not just playing with fire, he's painting with it. >> no way! >> see what he draws with a flame, next. halloween's over, so line up the pumpkins. >> and then why not take a snow blower through the pumpkins! >> fall, meet winter, on "right this minute." tt rere
9:09 am
9:10 am
9:11 am
what happens in these videos is conventional unconventional. for example, let's take pumpkins. now that halloween is behind us,
9:12 am
let's not carve them. let's just line them up one after another after another until you have 100 pumpkins lined up in a row. and then why not take a snow blower through the pumpkins. >> it's like a giant blender on wheels. >> i think they actually did a really good job of smashing up the pumpkins and making them nothing but mush and spraying it on the field. and the next one, a quad copter is doing what exactly? clearing the fall leaves. >> just going to clear our yard of leaves. >> well, that's a smart use for that. >> because why not? it's a leaf blower and a fun toy all at once. >> not terribly effective, but it is kind of fun. >> yeah. >> if only you could direct it. >> it's not terrible. it is kind of clearing certain
9:13 am
areas. now moms can actually tell their kids to go clear the fall leaves. just take the quad copter. it will be fun. >> i have never wanted to be a professional snowboarder more in my life than i have after watching this video from this pro snowboarder. he was dropped off 15,000 feet in the kashmir mountains in india. you can see there are multiple lines. elias made this look very easy in this short video, but i can assure you it's not, even for a professional. he has a second video out from the same piece and it doesn't go as well each time. it took him a few times to perfect that line. he drops in here and catches an edge and down he goes. >> that was a rough landing.
9:14 am
>> yeah. so he had to do it a couple of times to get that nice pristine shot. but when you have a helicopter at your disposal, who cares? this is a multipart episode series online that documents his travels through japan, alaska, india, and chile. what a life. he's 24 years old. get ready to put your santa hats on and get excited because it's secret santa time on reddit. >> whoo-hoo! >> thousands upon thousands of people participate. in fact, last year set a new world record. 89,421 gifts received and sent. and this year, they're trying to set another world record. they are hoping to have 200,000 people sign up. and online, people love it. they post their videos of the moment they unwrap their gifts that came from their reddit gift
9:15 am
secret santrsanta. >> reddit gifts is the greatest thing to happen to christmas in a long time. >> and not only do people from all over the world participate, but they tell us about this year's possible new world record. we have this guy, dan, via skype. welcome back to the show. >> hi, guys. how are you? >> you can sign up starting today, monday. do you think you'll get 200,000? >> i think we can do it. we've got some special surprises coming up in the next couple of weeks too. >> oh, i like surprises! >> how does it work? >> just come to the site and sign up. you have to give us your address, have a reddit account, then we ask you some questions. what are some things that you like? what are things that you dislike? then on december 1, we will run a program that matches people up. so beth might send to you, and you might send. and it creates a data chain. and then you go and you research the person that you're sending to.
9:16 am
and if you make a thoughtful gift, you just can't go wrong. once you get your gift, you come back on reddit gifts and post photos and videos of what you've gotten, and it kind of completes a cycle of happiness. we have so many people from different countries and cultures that don't celebrate christmas. and this has become a part of their year. and, you know, this is really their one time where they can connect with somebody, and a lot of people have created lasting connections. it's become a really important part of a lot of people's lives. cuteness caught on camera. >> he's made wipeout for his daughters. it's awesome! >> on the next "right this minute"! >> oh, man! jumped over it! >> and still to come, a little dog with some very big plans. >> so little! >> oh, my god! >> see where he's going on "right this minute." and we're giving away another ipad mini in just a minutes. hang in for the buzz word, next.

9:22 am
from that dog, though, that's scary. i'm just going to get behind this fence and i'm safe, and the dog is climbing up. >> she lives here. >> oh, good. >> she was getting back into her own home, so it's ok. >> she's breaking back into her house. >> left the keys out, huh? all right, everybody. time for us to give away another ipad mini. >> all you need is the buzz word. you have to be 18 or older and a legal u.s. resident. >> head over to rightthisminute.com and enter the buzz word. >> are you ready? >> let's hear it. >> it is "repeat." >> so click on the win ipad button and click on today's because word, and it's "repeat." and we have bonus give away day. that means we're also going to

be giving away a flat screen tv, so you're going to have to watch every single day. guy makes girl one heck of a nice piece of furniture. >> did he handcraft all of this? this is like an ikea thing that he built. >> and there's something there to find. >> what's in the bottom drawer? >> som jewelry. >> see what she finds on "right this minute."
