pg&e blames a third party contractor working on a new building here and that is the latest at the moment and they are about to let people back in perhaps within the hour. reporting live in san jose, john fowler, ktvu channel 2 news. >> do you know if the contractor called pg&e before digging? >> reporter: well, that is what they are supposed to do. i asked pg&e about that and they said they are investigating. as of this hour the contractor did not call pg&e before digging and that could play into liability. >> thank you. we have learned that robin williams did not have any alcohol or illegal drugs in his system when he died. the sheriff's department released the information as part of the autopsy report. robin williams committed suicide on august 11. he was 63 years old. his cause of death is ruled as aphasia due to hanging. prescription medications were

says the van and another car collide on interstate 680 at 5:30 p.m. last night. the van driver tried to swerve and hit the chp officer. the officer was taken by duplicate the hospital -- helicopter to the hospital. police are investigating a incident that has the community on edge. an injured man showed up on a neighbor's door step and what happened next is causing some confusion. ktvu's ann rubin is live to explain what happened here. >> reporter: it started about 1:00 a.m. and police have had this street closed off ever since. they say they are taking this investigation seriously. the question is, an investigation into what. >> the initial 911 call was for a shooting. the caller saying it was a injured man. he heard what happened next. >> i would hear the cops

facility team officials were talking with officials from san antonio about the possibility of the team moving south. >> the raiders, the a's, they belong in oakland. it is part of the oakland spirit. >> reporter: the mayor elect libby schaaf talked with a team official this morning. >> he did reassure me that he sticks to his statements, his priority is keeping the raiders in oakland. >> we met with a city counsel member who is part of the coliseum authority. >> we will take him on his word that he wants to stay in oakland and that is why we are working, the board of supervisors and the city of oakland in trying to help him to accomplish what he wants and i think what raider fans throughout the bay area want. >> the idea under consideration is to play where the university of texas plays its games. >> i think as it relates to any

in santa clara county had any impact on vote counting there. information technology chief quit last monday. the day before the election. so far there is no word on what led to his resignation but santa clara county was one of the slowest in the state to report election returns. thanksgiving is three weeks away and non-profits are preparing to help those in need this holiday season. in san jose hundreds of people began lining up for the holiday food and toy dry. they plan to distribute food boxes to 4,000 families for thanksgiving and 3200 families for christmas. >> my husband just got layed off of his job and we both -- he has cancer and i have lupus. it is cold out here but i just come and make the best of it for thanksgiving and christmas. >> even though the economy has

companion. smiles of joy and happiness in her heart is how she describes her feeling today when she was reunited with her service dog. >> i was really happy my child was coming home. my baby was coming home. >> reporter: she received her 8 years ago after her husband died. but back in august someone stole the dog from the car as she made for gas. >> i drove off, then i realized it was very quiet. i looked around, there was no dog. >> reporter: she was beside herself. >> i put up posters. i went to the aspca. i have 8 kids. and it is just like my child is gone. you know? who took my child. >> reporter: the story took a turn for the better. saturday she was found in a

a man is hospitalized tonight in san francisco after being shot by police. the shooting happened before 8:00 p.m. last night. he was acting spit ioning and ran from officers. police -- suspicious and ran
