turns out to be one. >> reporter: what happened here remain as mystery. >> we have all -- remain as mystery. >> we have all kinds of theories. >> reporter: it began 911 call indicating a possible shooting. there was an injured man at his door. police responded. >> when they contacted the caller they located the injured person inside the residents. >> reporter: that man 34 was taken to the hospital. the 50-year-old resident was taken to the police department to make a statement. police don't think there is a connection between them but they don't think residents have a reason to worry. >> there is nothing leading us to believe there is someone outstanding that we are worried about. we believe the community is probable safe. >> reporter: as for what happened here police aren't saying. they aren't saying if a crime has been committed but they have spent all day and all

night processing the scene. >> i want to make sure whatever happens, it is an isolated thing. i live around the corner. >> it makes you imagine if you were in that person's shoes. if someone showed up at your door step, what would you do, would you let them in, would you call the police, you know? it is scary. >> in a neighborhood where this kind of commotion is rare residents admit they are curious. >> just a little bit. i mean, it is a quiet neighborhood. never had trouble in the 20 years i lived here. once in a it has to happen. >> reporter: police expect to be wrapping up within the hour. no word on the condition of the injured man. ann rubin, ktvu channel 2 news. she was driving recklessly and lucky no one was killed that is what witnesses are saying. happened at 10:00 a.m.

this morning. witnesses say the driver was speeding and may have been distracted. she hit a jeep and a man on a bike and crashed into a wall. >> she is lucky she is alive and didn't kill anybody. she was driving crazy. >> back tire gut hit. >> reporter: feeling lucky? >> i don't know. it happened this way. i am glad i didn't get hurt bad. >> the driver was treated for a minor injury. no word on if she was sited. it does not appear alcohol was involved. construction crew is blamed for a gas line leak that caused caused the evacuation of 2500 people in san jose today. pg&e says workers hit a 4-inch natural gas main at a high rise under construction at market and santa clara streets. 15 officer buildings were

evacuate -- office buildings were evacuated. crews say it took 5 hours to cap the gas main because they had to dig up two separate shut off valves. officials today said robin williams did not have alcohol or illegal drugs in his system when he died. the sheriff's department released the information as part of the autopsy report as part of the suicide. the cause of death is aphasia due to hanging. prescription medications were detected. following his death his wife said he was struggling with depression and parkinson's but was sober at the time of the

you are asked to contact the local health department in your area to determine if the person is able to return to work. b.a.r.t.'s new connector will be open in time for thanksgiving travel. starting saturday november 22 riders can buy tickets and then board three car trains that coliseum station and take an 8 minute ride to oakland airport. riders can use a b.a.r.t. ticket or a clipper card to pay. buses will no longer run once the new service begins. new at 6:00 p.m.

>> reporter: of course, the first day of skiing leads to this. the first night skiing of the season. that 300-foot lift you are looking at is the only run open and that is what they are famous for, being the first. >> reporter: this first day of skiing began early. with a opening day special for college students. 15 bucks for all day. >> we are in the no on november -- snow on november 7. can't complain. >> reporter: they are the expert as creating the season's first run by making snow and pushing it into one narrow lane. the competing resorts call it the patch but they call it just what the ski doctor ordered. >> summer is great here but you are waiting for it to -- waiting for it to snow. >> we are really impressed with

but that could be changing next week. talking about rain clouds by thursday of next week. over night lows tomorrow morning, starting out saturday cool spots in the 40s and the fog near pacifica, san francisco, oakland, hayward and fremont as well. heard about this old typhoon, generating strong winds. as you can see towards the sea. winds gusting 69 miles per hour and seas 40, 50 feet. this system moves to the east over the next few days. this will have an impact across the u.s. the lows for chicago wednesday morning in the 20s. but not a big change for the bay area. high pressure is still in command of the weather, pushing the storm to the north. rain stays north and temperatures trending up this weekend. cooling next week and here is a long range model. thursday, that is when we are talking about rain back into the forecast. temperatures tomorrow,
