good morning, welcome to "mornings on 2". it's sunday, november 9th. i'm claudine long. >> we heard about the fog making its way back along the coast, let's go to rose mary. but it is back. >> some of us waking up with gray skies, one noteddable change. a live shot, here, you can see the low clouds in the distance. the fog, patchy dense fog for some. visibility a tough one as we get into the afternoon. we'll have plenty of sunshine, once again, but areas of san francisco this morning waking up with the clouds, half moon bay. ocean beach a great start to the day for you, here. go inland, we have mostly clear skies, patchy fog over parts of the north bay again this morning and temperatures a lot like how we started yesterday. 45 degrees in napa. a chilly start for you santa rosa, 44 degrees. around the bay, upper 40s to low 50s. upper 40s in walnut creek wells

livermore. these numbers a lot like yesterday. 78 in napa, 76 san raphael. mid-to upper 70s in the forecast livermore, antioch and fairfield. this will be one of the warmest days. temperatures will be cooler into the week and the possibility of rain. i'll show you the extended forecast for the week. it is a spare the air day. >> >> working smoke alarms helped to save the lives of a family in antioch. the fire broke out around buffalo way this morning. contra costa fire department posted this felt toe. smoke alarms woke everyone up and they were able to escape. firefighters -- there is the pet rat they were able to save. no word on what caused the

fire. >> >> chp is trying to find out what caused a woman to drive the wrong way on the bay bridge, causing a multivehicle crash. with her headlights turned off, she went westbound in the eastbound lanes. four cars were involved in the wreck. chp telling us at least three people were hurt, one person critically injured with several broken bones. this shows the backup as it took crews a couple of hours overnight to remove the wreckage. happening now, crews continue to do drainage work north of the golden gate bridge ahead of the installation -- in january. i want to show awe live look at the golden gate bridge socked in on this sunday, here, at least one lane will be closed on the marin side in both directions during the construction work. the $30 million center median will shift the concrete wall

from one lane to another. the installation is scheduled to happen on january 10th and 11th. >> >> happening today, san francisco is hosting its 95th annual veteran's day parade. festivities kick off at 11:00 this morning. ali joining us live with who will be featured in this year's parade. >> reporter: the pa has been going on for 95 years. this year's special features, on those in the vietnam war the parade starts at 11:00. once it gets going, there will be 100 different groups making their way down market street as part of the parade route t is video of the event last year. this year, the parade will be lead by 300 motorcycles driven

out a .38 caliber gun, forcing an officer to shoot and injury him. the police chief will lead tomorrow's meeting which starts at 6:30 p.m. at the -- burlinggame police released photos of a group of suspects they say used stolen credit cards at apple stores on the same day. it started on october 24th. four people used stolen credit cards to buy $10,000 in gift cards after making purchaseses at the burlinggame store, police say they used the remaining balance at two stores in san mateo and palo alto. anyone that knows these people are asked to call the police >> water district is considering installing security cameras to monitor hydrants. the countedy is looking at raising the fine. other people have been seen

tapping into fire hydrants late at nights. officials say the crime appears to be on the rise, thanks to california's drought. >> >> the bay area is nearing record levels of employment. according to the times, the bay area had 3.57 million payroll jobs in september. that's not far from the record of 3.61 million that was set in 2001. that was during the height of the. com boom. the report said the types of jobs people are getting have changed since 2001. there are more jobs like health care and hospitality and fewer jobs in manufacturing and construction. >> >> environmentalists in labor unions said the partnership is helping the economy. the sierra club expected to announce the findings of a berkeley report. the report credits clean energy policies with thousands of well paying jobs in the state as well as the addition of new career opportunities through

really susceptible to pollution in the air. that means it is a winter spare the air day and that means not okay to burn wood. but, it's going to be a nice day. i don't think you will need to burn wood in the fireplace today. temperatures a lot like yesterday. we'll have the morning fog and by the afternoon. mostly sunny skies, at least away from the coastline. along the coast, partly cloudy to mostly cloudy, most of the day for some of us. we do have a transition that will be taking place for the second half of the day and more so as we get into the week ahead. temperatures will be coming down. today, the warmest day of the next several, take a look at thursday, the possibility of scattered showers coming our way. we'll look at the numbers in just a moment. let's talk about this rain for a few. the chance for rain and late in the week, monday, tuesday, wednesday, mainly dry. have to get you all the way into wednesday evening before we see some rain here in northern california. and wednesday night into

including two children. last night, officers found the body of a man and two children inside of a home. they had all been shot to death. one woman detained in the police car at the scene was heard screaming -- >> hundreds of inmates across california are being released because voters approved proposition 47. they are getting ready for possible release. 47 reduced from felony crimes to misdemeanors, leading to reduced sentences. some of the crimes include drug possession and nonviolent offenses like shop lifting and credit card fraud where less than $950 is involved. >> >> a team of carefully selected inmates in minnesota spending their time behind bars training service dogs. the inmates are teaching the dogs 100 different commands helping people living with
