will el comino royal. christian captain joins us from uc berkeley wheeler hall and christian, you are talking about this demonstration involving many students? >> reporter: yes, that is right, we are at wheeler hall and as you know, it is the heart of the campus, you can see hundreds of students are crashed out here on the floor and the protest started 7:30 which quickly ballooned to several hundreds of demonstrators after uc board of region gents. a few hours after that, that number of students ballooned and students are saying they will allow classes here in wheeler hall and they will stay until their demands are met.

and how the boy is responding to the situation, brian? pretty scary situation for st. phillips after an attempted kidnapping. they are describing what happened and also giving advice to parents and kids who will be headed to school. school officials say a 7th grade boy sensed some danger and the boy screamed as loud as he could, went to diamond cafe and after getting to the cafe he then called his grandmother and then returned to the school to report to officials as well as police. another girl reported seeing the boy running and this is a scary situation but they are proud for what the boy did in the face of danger. >> students did the right

a 40-year-old man from iowa at a white house checkpoint. he reportedly told officers somebody in iowa somebody told him to go to the white house. police searched his car, they found a arriveel with -- a rifle with 40 rounds of ammunition. he was charged and arrested for an unregistered firearm. she has been identified, 57- year-old maria cruz behar lived in roan far park. she was found north of calistoga and it appears she was a victim of a hit-and-run. they are trying to figure out where she was saturday night and they are checking surveillance videos from twin pines casino which is miles from where she was found. and today racist comments
