now at noon, pablo sandoval appears to be packing his bags for the east coast. the latest on whether the panda will stay or go. we're hearing reports that a grand jury decision is expected today in the case regarding ferguson police officer, darren wilson. police in the south bay are searching for two men who they say broke into a home and robbed the family inside. why investigators say this home invation is so shocking.

good afternoon. i'm tori campbell. after three world series rings in the last five years, there are reports that giants' third baseman, pablo sandoval is headed to the boston red sox. brian flores has been following the developments from at&t park and joins us live. what are you hearing, brian? >> reporter: hi, tori, good afternoon. yipt going back and forth between the giants and pablo sandoval. i just got off the phone with a giants' source close to the team. they've not heard from pablo sandoval's agent or any one close to the negotiations. still unconfirmed whether pablo sandoval is headed to boston. that's not to say there's been plenty of buzz about this. cbs sports, espn and the a.p. reporting that pablo sandoval is headed to the red sox. even at this hour, the giants have not heard a response from pablo's agent. giants' assistant gm bobby

evans is the point person handling the negotiations. he's been on several radio stations denying pablo has signed on with the red sox. what the source did say is the giants' offer is close to what the red sox is offering, five years, close to $100. it's now up to pablo sandoval to decide where his heart is and where he wants to play. several fans were yet that he could be playing -- upset that he could be paying for another team. >> it's heartbreaking. he's been such a clutch player for us. it will be hard to replace him. >> you know he's gonna move on. it would have been nice to have loyalty. it's not all about money or shouldn't. he has to go where his heart is, i guess, boston. he better buy some warm clothes. opportunity to wear panda hats but he was critical in the world series championships over the past five years. this has been going back and fort to confirm whether he's going to boston or not, despite three news organizations reporting he is for sure. we understand that he is expected to make a decision later on today. we'll stay on top of this and bring you the latest here on the news at ktvu. we're live in san francisco, brian flores, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you. in develop, news out of ferguson, missouri. there are reports that a grand jury has reached a decision on whether to charge police officer darren wilson in the deadly shooting of michael brown. as protesters in ferguson continue their vigil, it's not clear exactly when the decision will be announced. but sources say it will be made public later today. ferguson, missouri is two hours ahead of us. the 18-year-old unarmed teenager was shot and killed by officer wilson on august 89th.

that's led to violent protests, vandalism and looting. president obama community leaders and even the victim's parents are all asking protesters to remain calm. >> don't agitate them. don't let them agitate. i don't want nobody getting hurt. >> the grand jury has heard conflicting reports on whether brown was surrendering to the officer or resisting arrest and fighting with the officer, when the shooting occurred. students at uc berkeley are expected to walk out of class right now along with thousands of other students across the state to protest tuition hikes. students in berkeley have been camped out at wednesday at wheeler hall to protest the hikes. last week, the uc beard of regents voted to increase tuition 5% per year for the next five years. some local students that are skipping classes may march through berkeley streets. santa clara sheriff's deputies are looking for two men after a

home-ive vaks robbery in -- home-invasion robbery in ktvu. it happened a 5:00 a.m. this morning. it was at a home near gardengate and glenco. deputies say at least one of the suspects was armed. that's when they set up a perimeter and searched yard by yard for the suspects. at this point, it does in the appear the victims knew the suspects. deputies are still looking into whether they were specifically targeted. >> very rare in cupertino. this side of town we don't have a lot of these types of crimes. we're gonna dedicate resources to this. the search lasted several hours. right now, sheriff's deputies do not believe the suspects are still in the area and the investigation is continuing. businesses in point richmond are scheduled to meet with police today following a daytime robbery. police say three men tied up a u.p.s. driver and employees on friday at a pharmacy before taking off with that pharmacy's entire supply of oxy conon.

the meeting was arranged to discuss a man to fight violent crime. san francisco police are piecing together a troubling crime in the city's dubose triangle where a man was shot to death on the street early this morning during a robbery. alex savidge explains what neighbors saw and heard. >> reporter: the intersection of henry and noe became a crime scene early this morning as san francisco police investigated a shooting that left a man dead. detectives searched for evidence near homes and outside of this quaint corner bistro. it was just after midnight when a number of numbers heard two gunshots. the first woke miriam peacock. >> then about 30 seconds to a minute later, i heard another gunshot and then i heard the other fellow, i get, it was the other fellow, screaming help, help, help help. >> reporter: the wounded man was rushed to san francisco

general but he died there. investigators say this was a robbery that ended with the victim being shot. the man was walking along the street with two other people according to police when five people confronted his group. that confrontation for some reason ended with gunfire. peacock has lived here for almost 50 years and she tells me dubose triagele has its share of crime but this kind of violence is unusual. >> it does have its late-night revelers but murder right here in front of my favorite restaurant. [laughter] >> it's terrible. >> reporter: a stunning crime but neighbors say this is still a great place to live. >> i feel safe here. i don't feel any less safe because of this. it's a terrible thing. >> reporter: police have not identified the man killed this morning or said if he lived in this area. and investigators are still sorting out what was stolen during this holdup that ended with a deadly shooting. alex savidge, ktvu channel 2

news. police are asking for the public's help to find a man suspected of attempting to sexual assault a 7-year-old girl at a san francisco park. investigators have released this sketch of the man. he's described as a white male about 5'11", 30, 40, with brown hair and brown eyes. he was last seen wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt with gray and black letters. police say the man tried to pull the child's into the girl's restroom at la fayette park on friday afternoon. a concord school learmt elementary school is back in court after being tried again for some of the same counts he faced in a trial earlier this year. a jury acquitted joseph martin in june of 21 counts of child molestation. they were hung on the other 95 counts. so the contra costa district attorney's office decided to try the case again. so he's on trial now for 24 counts of molestation accused of rubbing the chests of nine of his former male students

with sexual intent. martin has maintained his innocence. there are new concerns about security at mineta airport after the third breach this year. police say a man managed to get onto a private airport tarmac at sjc and steal a maintenance vehicle. the man identified as 39-year- old miguel zaragoza drove off and was later taken into custody inside terminal b. east bay congressman eric swalwell, leading a campaign for tighter security at san jose and other airports across the country, says more needs to be done. >> i still believe that we need to have a perimeter security system that alerts officials the moment that the breach takes place. if officials have to wait to find individuals rooming around the runway or in the terminal area, i think that's too late. >> this incident follows two others at san jose mineta. in april, a 15-year-old hopped a fence and stowed away in a wheel well of a hawaii-bound

undocumented immigrants make up 10% of the state's work force. one year after 2 investigates first reported on a san francisco sheriff's deputy, suspended for assaulting an inmate, there are new claims he's at it again. 2 investigates has discovered the deputy, doug jones, has been named in several internal affairs investigations since ure last report -- our last report. this summer an inmate in san francisco county jail told his family that jones and another deputy held him down and beat him. >> one of the guys was holding him and the other one -- while the other one was hitting him. and then they also -- deputy jones also strangled him. and i know they pulled him -- they dragged him from the jail cell. >> tonight at 10:00, 2 investigators digs into the recent history of action taken against jones and asked the legal counsel how the

department is handling the allegations. you may have heard of flash mobs before but last night in san francisco it was a flask mob. about 2,000 photographers armed with flasks of alcohol and cameras took over union square. the event was organized to help aspiring photographers network and take snapshots of san francisco's nightlife, people breathing fire, shooting off fireworks to break dancing. >> never heard of it. i think it's great that you can get that many people together in a short amount of time. kind of would be great if they was getting them together for something that was more worthy caught that would help the community in a way as far as the homeless population or abused kids, abused mothers or something like that. >> the group began its trek at the powell street b.a.r.t. station. businesses on the square received four hours 'notice from police and say no arrests were made.

a drive is being held today to help beat hunger. a member of the san francisco 49ers is joining the fight. the safety was at the second harvest food bank on kurtner avenue this morning. he signed autographs for people dropping off turkeys. the food bank had over 9,000 turkeys but has a goal of 13,000. the food bank helps to feed people in santa clara and san mateo counties. it says the need for food and help continues to grow despite the improving economy. >> i really don't believe anybody in this country should be hungry, just as, you know, all of the resources that we have here. >> it's always good to help, you know, the less fortunate and we try to do something every year for, you know, thanksgiving and christmas. >> second harvest also accepts monetary donations. it is hoping for $15 million in donations this year. may come as no surprise to

many travelers, but san francisco international airport has been ranked one of the worse airports in the nation when it comes to weather related delays and cancellations. according to the weather channel, sfo had almost 168,000 arrivals over a 12-month period and of those, almost 26,000 had a weather-related delay. many of those delays were due to low clouds and fog in san francisco. but other problems involve snow and ice in other areas. >> when i talked to my kids up there, they say, the weather is fine, you know. i don't know what's going on. i know that i'm not happy. >> san francisco international expects to handle 1.3 million travelers for the thanksgiving travel period which began last friday and ends next month, december 1st. a big change is coming to san francisco's tap water. according to reports, the city is moving forward with plans to supplement its water supply

from the hetch hetchy reservoir with local ground water. the city's public utilities commission has started digging around golden gate park in hopes of tapping into the underground flows. over the next two years, it will be blended in small doses and city leaders say local ground water is not quite as pure as the hetch hetchy but it's sufficiently clean and will not change the taste very much. it is a good-looking day over the bay area this afternoon. we'll start out with a live shot over the bay. you can see mostly clear skies. wall-to-wall sunshine from the coast, around the bay and inland communities for the afternoon. onto the numbers where we are very similar to where we were yesterday at this time, a lot of upper 50s, a few low 60s and check out half moon bay. 66 degrees right now outside your door. 63 walnut creek. 64 in livermore and fairfield. you are checking in at 61. those mostly clear skies will remain for today and i think

this is a pattern we're going to see for the next few days as we is a minor warmup that will continue as we get into wednesday even thursday looks nice for thanksgiving day. ridge of high pressure becoming better settled in and will continue to strengthen. that will need to the sunny skies, the mild afternoon, the cool mornings with the clear skies overhead as well. today will be a tad warmer in the afternoon than we where we were on sunday. tuesday lightly warmer than that. wednesday looks like this will be the warmest day of this warming training. 68 degreesing for the afternoon today in novato. 67 for stan ralph fell. 66 for sausalito. upper 60s in vallejo as well as richmond. 66. mid- to upper 60s expected. oakland you will go to 68. 66 for you alameda, 68 expected for pleasanton. into the south bay, somewheres in the upper 60s like saratoga,

morgan hill, awfully close to 70. 69 in gilroy as well as santa cruz. along the peninsula, 67 woodside. 68 redwood city, if, a nice, mild 66. we're looking at mid-60s in areas like half moon bay. the exit tended forecast show you all -- extended forecast showing you all the way into the holiday. temperatures climb. on tuesday, the air quality has issued a spare the air for tuesday. changes start to happen on thursday. it will be a subtle change for your hoyle. but as we get into friday, saturday, sunday, bigger, wet changes come into the bay area. so long story short, we've got some nice weather leading all the way into the holiday. thanksgiving looks good. if you will be traveling or you know somebody coming our way, it will be quite wet. that's what the models are showing. that's what we're hoping friday, saturday, sunday, maybe even into monday morning.

tears's momentum favoring stocks. the dow is down 10. the nasdaq is up 35. and the s&p is up 3. good news for procrafters. more retailers are guaranteeing last-minute christmas deliveries. 26% of retailers surveyed say they will guarantee delivery for orders placed one to three days before christmas.

that's up from 17% last year. industry experts say retailers have seen a demand for holiday time deliveries. they've had time to work out solutions. u.p.s. says it is also determined to perform better than last holiday season. it is rushing to hire as many as 15,000 more workers by next week to help with christmas deliveries. u.p.s. expects to deliver 585 million packages next month. that's almost two packages for every single person living in the u.s. in walnut creek, hundreds of new parking spaces are now available just in time for the holiday shopping season. the new garage complete with 500 spots opened this weekend. it's part of the city's ongoing renovation of the downtown broadway plaza area. the entire project is scheduled to be finished in 2017. city officials say they are doing everything they can to make sure the construction does not stop anyone from getting their shopping done. we're following developing news from ferguson, missouri. we just learned that an
