from san jose. back to you. >> all right. we'll talk to you later. 7:05. new this morning, didn't take long for san francisco to clean up after that blockbuster new year's celebration overnight. we took these pictures about an hour ago of market street. workers sprayed water on the road. there are street cleaners to remove the debris left over from the celebration. right now, a group of street sweep remembers still in the embarcadero removing the mess there. >> cold temperatures and police -- and anti-police protesters could not dampen spirits of revelers in san francisco. [ cheers ] >> tens of thousands packed the waterfront to watch the 15- minute fireworks show. fireworks shot 100 to 1,000 feet in the air. organizers said each year they try to stop the previous year. judging by the crowd reaction, the colorful light show did not disappoint.

>> it was great. we loved it. we have been waiting for a long time to be able to see it. we loved it. >> although the temperatures dipped into the 40s overnight, revelers say they had a wonderful time. many took public transportation to and from the event. after the fireworks show, there were reports it took about an hour to get on the bay bridge. the fireworks show appeared to be a distraction for people driving on the bay bridge. this is video shot by one of our producers on the lower deck of the bay bridge. you can see a number of cars there pulled over on the left lane with people actually getting out to watch the fireworks. chp tells us people went on their way once the fireworks were over. they do not recommend you do this, by the way. but there were no accidents as a result of people stopping. there was also a protest along san francisco's embarcadero during the new year's celebration. but no problems reported.

about 50 demonstrators walked to the ferry building. they were holding anti-police banners. one said said no new year under this old system. we can't breathe. dozens of police walked alongside the marchers but there were no confrontations. the march was a peaceful one. however, a similar demonstration in oakland, that one ended with at least 29 arrests. ktvu's signment editor took this photo of a row of chp vehicles as more than 100 people took part in an anti- police march. police say the protest was peaceful up until a couple of demonstrators threw bricks and bottles at the police. police also say the protesters squalled graffiti and they set off illegal fireworks near broadway and telegraph. the protesters booked, they were boorked on charges that -- booked on charges that included vandalism, resisting arrest and assault with a deadly weapon. this first day of 2015 also

marks the sixth anniversary of the fatal b.a.r.t. shooting of oscar grant. later today, a vigil will be held at the fruitvale b.a.r.t. station where this occurred in 2009. former b.a.r.t. police officer, johannes mehserle was convicted. johannes mehserle claimed he shot grant by mistake, he meant to use his taser, not his gun. it happens every year on january 1st, a stack of new laws take effect. and here in california, some are actually quite controversy. alex savidge is live in the newsroom with a look at some news in 2015, including one that involves illegal immigrants. >> good morning. state lawmakers have been quite busy in california addressing issues ranging from illegal immigration to keeping hollywood productions here at home. let's get to a new law stirring quite a bit of controversy. people in this country can now

legally get a california driver's license starting today. supporters say this controversial new law will improve highway safety by requiring they pass a driving test and also get auto insurance. of course, on the flip side of things, opponents arc the new law rewards illegal behavior. then there's audrey's law which will increase criminal penalties force teenagers -- for teenagers convicted of certain sex acts. it's named after audrey potts. she died in a tragic case two years ago. she was sexually assaulted while passed out drunk at a party by three boys who later shared photos of that incident with classmates. audrey committed suicide eight days after the assault. and hollywood is hoping to get a boost from a new state law designed to keep film production here in california. it more than tripled the state's tax credit for film and television companies who shoot here in the golden state. and there's also good news

for dog owners who like to dine out with their pooches. under a new law, you can now legally bring dogs along with you to restaurant patios. but keep in mind, the owners of the restaurant do have the right to object. pet owners are required to keep their dogs on a leash and no hopping on tables or chairs. >> and no begging. >> no. they have to behave. >> thank you. >> sure thing. sam liccardo will be sworn in as san jose's new mayor today. he's already announced key members as he replaces chuck reed. his new chief of staff is jim reed. no relation to the previous mayor. jim reed has been the vice president of the san jose silicon valley chamber of commerce. pete constant is a former city councilman and will serve as a

adviser and this individual will serve as senior policy adviser for land use and economic development. for the second time in the past couple weeks, a teenaged girl forced into prostitution has been found in san rafael. police say the 17-year-old victim from the central valley was located tuesday night by officers at the transit hub at fourth. a lieutenant says the girl was able to text her family ask them for help and said she was just too scared to run away. her parents notified law enforcement, then the fbi notified san rafael police. >> we were contacted by an fbi ascbloeent said they had information that there was a juvenile who was texting this parents saying she was being forced into prostitution and was in san rafael fell. >> the suspect, 19-year-old samantha, was arrested. she's expected to be in court on friday. a second male suspect has not been found yet.

alabama plays ohio state in the sugar bowl in new orleans. number 2 ranked oregon plays florida state at the rosebowl in pasadena. the winners move onto the championship game, january 12th in texas. pasadena's famous tournament of roses parade starts at 8:00 this morning. it will be cold out there. the coldest in the parade history. overnight temperatures were almost freezing. that would tie an all-time record low for the parade. the floatmakers were worried the tropical flowers might turn black because it's so cold and they added more glue to the floats. look at the poor girls. some of the spectators lining pasadena street, they were using propane heaters to stay warm. here's proof how strong the wind were. look at this. these were tents set up outside of the rosebowl blown into the air, twisting into the wind.

7:23. take a look at this. the space needle in seattle, washington lit up with fireworks as thousands celebrated the new year. fireworks were triggered on the sides as well as on the top of the space needle. the fireworks show startrd at midnight and lasted for about eight minutes. beautiful site there. we know one bay area baby who was among the first to be born in 2015. hospital staff at st. luke's said a baby girl was delivered right atd midnight. 8 pounds and is 21 inches long. both the baby and mother are doing well.

no word on the baby's name but we're told the parents are mr. and mrs. leang. and she's their second child. >> maybe they will call us and tell us. >> exactly. 2015 means new beginnings in the south bay for a popular restaurant badly damaged six months ago in a fire. the restaurant reopened last night for a special new year's eve dinner. they will resume full service tomorrow. the owner and chef david spent 12 years in his kitchen perfecting the dishes. he says he's relieved to be back in action. >> this is what my passion is. this is what i dedicated my life to, and to be able to get back into it is what i enjoy doing and working with the people i enjoy working with is very pleasing. >> he says there's always a special tradition for new year's eve. he's hoping the restaurant will regain the momentum it had six

months ago before the fire. fire started in an outside trash can, spread to the building. caused $250,000. that restaurant has earned 2 michelin stars. it's considered one of the best restaurants in the world by many. ricks and his fiancee, lost everything in this fire. rudy who owns a clothing company, heard about the fire, decided to donate clothing to the couple. when he contacted them, he realized he was donating clothing to two old high school friends. >> he realized when i said, hey, this is obry, you are donating clothes to us, me and jamie. >> i would have done it for anybody in that situation christmas day. that's the worst. that's pretty bad. >> that story is pretty good.

new year, investigating a double shooting. it happened outside of a nightclub on the east side. janine de la vega live in san jose to tell us what the police and what people in the neighborhood are telling you, janine. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, dave. we've been told by people who live and work in this area that this building here right behind me, that it used to be a restaurant but it recently reopened as a nightclub. it's off to a rough start with the shooting happening outside of the doors. police are trying to figure out if it happened in the parking lot or on the sidewalk because bullet casings were found in the street. police say at around 12:30, they were called to rain lounge on cap troll expressway near mclaughlin after shots were fired. they found two men each suffering from a gunshot wound. one person was shot in the face and the other was wounded in the shoulder. they were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. police describe their conditions as critical. officers cordoned off the nightclub and detained several

square to watch the famous ball drop to mark the new year. >> 3, 2, 1! [ cheers ] >> just like that. the 12,000-pound waterford crystal ball was dropped at the stroke of midnight eastern time in new york. despite it being so cold out there, some of the people lined up at noon or even earlier just to get a good spot to be in that crowd. new york police reported no major problems, which was good to hear, despite online threats of a new year's eve attack against the police department for the controversial death of eric garner. anti-police protesters in missouri, they will continue their movement through the new year. last night in st. louis, several demonstrators were arrested. they were 0 blocking streets and vandalizing cars. the situation was actually a lot calmer than what happened just hours earlier. here during an event called march to the arch, several dozen protesters actually broke

away. they stormed the police headquarters here. they posted eviction notices on the building saying they were going to reclaim the police d. the police eventually used pepper spray to break up the crowd. five people were arrested, charged with trespassing and assault. san jose police took extra precautions overnight because of online threats against police officers nationwide. every patrol consisted of two officers to provide immediate backup. it's a step that's never been taken in the department's history. while there were fewer cars on streets, there were the same amount of officers. sam liccardo said he supported the police chief's plan. >> it's unfortunate that major city chiefs like our own are put in the position where they have to double up in order to keep officers safe out there. it's already a dangerous enough job. >> the extra precautions are just being taken for new year's. san jose police say they cannot do it on a regular basis

because of staffing levels. and a new group calling itself no on 2024 is fighting san francisco's plan to host the summer olympic games. the group says the billions of dollars of public money needed to host the 2024 olympics would be better spent on schools, healthcare, and public transportation. the group wants to put the matter before voters. the u.s. olympic committee could announce its selection to host the games as early as next week. san francisco, boston, los angeles, and washington, d.c. are the u.s. cities in the running. it is one of the most popular new year's resolutions, of course, getting fit or staying in shape. if you are one of the millions of americans hoping to lose a few pounds tara moriarty joins us live from the 24-hour fitness club in hayward. doing great workout. good morning, tara. >> reporter: i'm building up my

lives. instead of it being get a workout and kind of leave and that's it, what we do is we plan ahead, we plan -- basically their lifestyle. we go over diet, we go over their habits, when they wake up, when to workout. >> reporter: i want to do the -- we are were talking about this earlier. a lot of ladies out there, you have babies and these muscles don't exist anymore. whenever i do the normal situps, i find it hurts my neck. you have a good one, a good exercise to combat that. >> i don't have an official name for it but i call them butter turns. similar position to the one prior. >> reporter: okay. >> a little bit of a plank motion. keep your hand separate so you can stabilize and do a full rotation. >> reporter: oh, yeah. >> we're not hitting just the

7:47. a tragic start to 2015. 36 people were killed in a stampede during a new year's celebration in china. it happened at shanghai's historic waterfront area about 11:30 last night. 47 people were injured, including 14 who were seriously hurt. the stampede reportedly began as people scrambled for coupons that looked like dollar bills being thrown out of a third- floor window. however, officials say the exact cause of the stampede is still under investigation. nine bodies have been recovered from the air asia flight that crashed in the java sea. wind and heavy rain is making

the recovery effort difficult and strong sea currents keep moving the plane debris. the jet crashed into the java sea on sunday with 162 people on board. authorities are still looking for the plane's fuselage as well as the flight's data recorders. >> translator: one ship, which is equipped with underwater locater beacons to detect a black box signal, and also equipped with a multi-beam sonar to detect metal and give 3-dimensional images have identified on site. >> they have recovered one of the body as a passenger on the plane. air safety officials say this could find a week to find the recorders. apple facing a class-action lawsuit over its ios 8 software. they say it doesn't tell users how much space the software

roads you are tempted to go fast. good idea just to still drive carefully. 8:0 3. breaking news from the peninsula. our news crew is on the scene of this morning's officer- involved shooting in san francisco. these are some live pictures of the scene right now. you can see a police officer patrol car there with the lights on. this happened shortly after 3:00 in the morning in the area of orange and railroad avenues, not far from orange memorial park. there is still a large police presence at the scene where this officer-involved shooting happened. stay tuned to "mornings on 2." we are expecting to get more information later this hour. 8:03. also new this morning, san jose police starting the new year investigating a double shooting. it happened outside of a nightclub on the east side. ktvu's janine de la vega live in san jose. tell us what know about the

victims and this case. >> reporter: the shooting happened right outside of rain lounge located here near capitol expressway and mclaughlin. it's unclear if the shots were fired in the parking lot or here near the sidewalk, though police sources tell me one of the victims was shot in the face. the other was shot in the shoulder. police received a 911 call just before 12:30 this morning that a person had been shot outside of the club. officers found two young men officering from gunshot wounds. they were rushed to the hospital and we're told they are in critical condition. police roped off the area to gather evidence and question club patrons. officers say it appears some disturbance or fight started inside where a new year's eve celebration was happening inside and it trickled outside. that's when the shots were fired. we saw several security guards and employees leave. but they would not give details on what happened. within man who works nearby says he wasn't surprised it happened. >> it used to be a restaurant. people used to hang out and drink there at nighttime.

it was a rowdy crowd. they closed down. it has not been a month it's been there. to hear about the shooting. >> it's crazy. nobody likes to hear stuff like, especially starting off the new year. >> reporter: police are working on trying to see if surveillance video exists to help in their investigation. they did recover a handgun at the scene. no word on who it belongs to. at this point, police say they don't have a motive and no one is under arrest. police tell me the victims are 20 and 22 years old. but it's unclear if they are from san jose. back to the studio. >> thank you. on this first day of the new year, a stack of new laws take effect. omhere in -- some here in california are stirring controversy. alex savidge has more. >> from driver's licenses for the undocumented to dogs dining

out at restaurants. there are a lot of new laws to get familiar with here. first off, let's get to one that's quite controversial dealing with illegal immigration. people living in this country illegally can legally get a california driver's license starting today. supporters say this controversial new law will improve highway safety by requiring they pass a driving test and get auto insurance. opponents argue the new law rewards illegal behavior. another state law taking effect today is designed to protect student athletes playing football. students who suffer a head injury will have to wait seven days and have a doctor's note before they can play again. this new law also limits high schools to just two full contact practices a week. the goal here is to minimize brain injuries and concussions. a new state law isn't so concerned about which came first, the chicken or the egg. the only thing that matters is whether the chicken was treated humanely before it laid the

egg. this law requires every egg sold in california must come from an hen that had enough space to stand up, turn around and stretch its wings inside its enclosure. there are still lingering questions about what farmers are required to do. good news for pet owners who like to dine out with their dogs. you can now legally bring dogs along with you to restaurant patios, although they must be on a leash and they must behave themselves and restaurant owners still have the right to object to the dogs being there. they can send your pooch packing if they like, i guess with a doggie bag. [laughter] >> couldn't help myself. >> thank you. it was cold and there were anti-police protesters out there but that did not spoil the new year's eve celebration in san francisco. waterfront along the embarcadero watching the 15- minute fireworks show that filled the sky. about 1,000 feet in the air. organizers say every year they try to top the previous year. and judging by the crowd's reaction, the fireworks did not disappoint. >> it was great. we loved it. we've been waiting for a long time just to be able to see it. we loved it. >> now, although the temperatures fell in the 40s overnight, the audience says they still had a great time. many took public transportation to and from the event. muni and caltrain offered free rides but a lot of people still drove. after the fireworks show, well, they got caught. it took about about an hour to get on the bay bridge. the big fireworks show did prove to be a big distraction for people driving on the bay bridge. look at this video. this was shot by one of our viewers on the lower end of the bridge. several cars just pulled over in the left lane.

people actually got out of their cars, watching the fireworks show. doesn't happen all of the time. the chp tells us people did go on their way once the fireworks were over and luckily, there were no accidents reported because people had stopped there on the bridge. it didn't take long for san francisco to clean up after the big new year's celebration. now, this is video we shot earlier this morning. the suite streeters out there near the ferry building, busy, cleaning up everything taking out the confetti and paper streams left over on the sidewalk in the streets from the celebration. this first day of 2015 marks the sixth anniversary of the fatal shooting of oscar grant. later today, family members and friends will hold a vigil in honor of grant at oakland's fruitvale b.a.r.t. station where the shooting took place on new year's day 2009. former b.a.r.t. police officer johannes mehserle was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter for

grant's death. johannes mehserle claim heed shot grant by mistake and meant to use his taser instead of his gun on the b.a.r.t. platform. san francisco police report no troubles from a demonstration along the embarcadero during the new year's celebrations. >> hands up, don't shoot! >> about 50 protesters walked to the ferry building holding anti-police banners. one large sign read, no new year under this old system. we can't breathe. dozens of police officers walked with the marchers but never intervened. the demonstrations stayed peaceful but a similar protest in oakland ended with at least 29 arrests. the ktvu's signment editor took this picture of a row of chp vehicles on 980 as more than 100 people took part in an anti- police march. police say the protest was peaceful up until a few demonstrators started to throw bricks and bottles at them. police say the protesters

scrawled graffiti and set off illegal fireworks near broadway and telegraph. protesters arrested were arrested for vandalism, resisting arrest and assault with a deadly weapon. be careful driving this morning. dui checkpoints are set up making sure people out celebrating the new year don't drink and drive. here's some video from oakland. the police stopping drivers here at this checkpoint. now, while the ktvu photographer was out there no one was detained for dui. several drivers were pulled over because they didn't have a driver's license. the chp's mack mumm enforcement period continues until sunday. a dui arrest can cost you thousands of dollars. it may even land you in jail. for the second time in just the past couple of weeks, a teenaged girl forced into prostitution has been found in san rafael. police say the 17-year-old victim from the central valley was located tuesday night by

officers at the transit hub at 4th and heatherton. a loit said the girl was able to -- lieutenant said the girl was able to text her family asking for help and said she was too scared to run away. the parents called law enforcement, then the fbi notified san rafael police. >> we were contacted by an fbi agent who told us that they had information that there was a juvenile who was texting their parents saying she was being forced into prostitution and she was currently in san rafael. >> now, 19-year-old samantha johns was arrested. she's expected in court friday. a second male suspect has not been found. last week, san rafael police found a 16-year-old girl from seattle who they say was being -- they say she was being forced into prostitution. 8:12. sam liccardo will be sworn in at san jose's new mayor later today. she's already announced some key members of the staff as he replaces outgoing mayor chuck reed. his new chief of staff is jim reed, who has been the vice

happening now, the tournament of roses parade is underwayne. float builders and performers were preparing up to the very last minute. this year is one of the coldest in the rose parade's 126-year history. that's pardon for me to imagine. it's always in the 80s. overnight the temperatures were close to 32 in pasadena. a record low for the parade.

they were using propane heaters to stay warm. this is a demonstration of how windy it was in pasadena. this is incredible. right outside of the rosebowl, tents were picked up by the winds and just swirled around and, again, there are pieces of metal on them. and so this is a wild, dangerous scene. it's a weather phenomenon called a duffel devil. it's like a whirlwind over land. four people were injured slightly bay this flying debris. you can watch the rose parade on channel 36. the parade started at 8:00. the preshow was at 7:00. if you missed any part of it, don't worry. we'll rerun the parade coverage all day long until 5:30 this

dubai set out to break the record in this spectacular light show. the people from guinness were on hand to oversee it. north korea joined in the new year's celebration with its own fireworks show. this was the third national new year's eve event in the history of modern north korea. leader kim jung un started the tradition when he took power following his father's death. and in paris, fireworks set off signaled the first moments of the new year. for the french, the new year holiday lasses for the next month. they know how to celebrate, with food, drinks and well wishes for 2015. we know of at least one baby who is wrong the first to be born in 2015. hospital staff at st. luke's hospital in san francisco say a baby girl was delivered right at midnight. she weighs eight pounds and is 21 inches long. doctors say both the baby and mother are doing well. no word on the baby's name. but we're told the parents are

antioch police department has lost a former member of the police force. it's thor. he was part of the k-9 unit before he retired two years ago. thor died tuesday at the age of 14. that's old age for a dog. four years ago, thor was shot and wounded during a shootout with a burglary suspect. he was working with officer mathew harker. on the antioch police department facebook page, the officer is quoted as saying, even though thor was hurt, he immediately engaged the suspect and held onto him during a continued fight. that night without a caught, tho saved our lives. there is no other story that can top that. 8:27. still ahead, from licenses for illegal immigrants to limits on youth football practices. coming up next, we'll tell you about the new laws taking effect because it's a new year. and the window for the maverick surfing competition is now officially open but why

at the roads. 88 in oakland, a breeze. if you are gonna hit 880, it's the right time to go. we are watching the area around the toll plaza, again, wide open. it's wide open at the toll plaza. 833. there is a lot going on. we're getting a lot of information. these are live pictures of breaking news from south san francisco. a lot of police out here. this is the police command post near tennis drive and orange avenue. police say officers were involved in an exchange of gunfire with a suspect still on the loose. no one was hit. they say this happened shortly after 3:00 this morning in the area of orange and railroad avenues. this is not far from orange memorial park. several streets in the area are locked down. there is a s.w.a.t. team out there in south san francisco searching for the suspect still on the loose. again, you can see in the pictures, a lot of police are

is hoping to get a boost from a new state law designed to keep film productions here in california. it more than tripled the state's tax credit for film and television companies who choose to shoot here in the golden state. we've seen a lot of film productions here in the bay area as well recently. goods news for dog owners who like to dine out with their pooches. under a new state law, you can now legally bring your dogs along with you to restaurant patios only. but keep in mind here, the owners of the restaurant still do have the right to object to your dog being there and dave, this new law also requires pet owners to keep their dogs on a leash and under control. that means no hopping up on the chairs to eat alongside you. a lot of pet owners like to do that. >> i have feeling there will be more debate about that still to come. >> i think you are probably right and local municipalities has the right to enact the law that ban dogs on patios.

8:38. if you love surfing, well, the window opening today for the maverick surf contest. the big one, but this year there won't be a public festival at the big wave competition. organizers say unforeseen circumstances and challenges forced the change. they plan to announce sometime soon how you fans can watch the surf contest. in the past, there's been a live internet stream. the mavericks fest valley has been held in half moon bay for the past couple of years. that followed after people on the beach at pillar point were knocked down by a rogue wave back in 2010. happening right now, some brave swimmers are making a break from alcatraz. this is video of the swimmers for the annual swim. it's already cold out there. 130 swimmers from san francisco's dolphin club jumped into the waters and raced to the shore. now, we talked to one of the

swimmers who says she's not too worried about how cold it is in the water. >> it was too windy. we're not sure when the tide is gonna turn. it's not very windy right now. it should be 54, 55 degrees in the water, they say. it's not cold. that's the worst part. >> not cold. crossing that area is 1.25 miles. >> those guys are keeping one of the more popular resolutions going. one of the more popular resolutions is getting fit or staying in shape. if you are one of the millions of americans hoping to shed a few pounds that were gained during the holidays, our intrepid reporter tara moriarty is live at a gym in hayward with advice how to get in shape with 2015. very inspiring, tara. >> reporter: i just got off the treadmill. i did about 20 minutes.

[ cheers ] >> it is 8:45. and an estimated 1 million people gathered at times square in new york to watch the famous ball drop. the 12,000-pound waterford crystal ball came down at midnight eastern time. despite really chilly temperatures some visitors started to line up at noontime or earlier to get a prime vantage point. new york police reported no major problems. in fact, they said times square was probably the safest place in the city despite threats of an attack against the nypd for the controversial death of airic garner -- eric garner. police protesters in missouri are vowing to continue their movement through the new year. demonstrators were arrested for blocking traffic and

vandalizing a car. several dozen protesters broke away and stormed police headquarters. they posted eviction notices on the building saying they were going to recomplain the police department. officers eventually used pepper spray. five people were arrested on trespassing and assault charges. san jose police tookextra precautions overnight because of those threats online. every police patrol had two officers giving an immediate backup. it's a step that's never been taken in the history. while there were fewer patrol cars. there was the same amount of officers. sam liccardo said he supported the police chief's plan. it's unfortunate that major city chiefs like our own are put in the position where they have to double up in order to keep officers safe out there. it's already a dangerous enough job. >> the extra precautions are just being taken for new year's day. san jose police say they can't

do this on a regular basis because of their police staffing levels. there is a new group calling itself no on 2024. they are fighting san francisco's plan to host the summer olympic games. now, the group says the billions of dollars of public money needed to host the 2024 olympics, it could be better spent on schools, public healthcare and transportation. the group wants to put this matter before the voters. u.s. olympic committee may announce the selection to host the games as early as next week. san francisco boston, los angeles, and washington, d.c. are the u.s. cities in the running for that. >> this is just for the one u.s. city that will go to the international olympic committee and then they will be part that selection process. and steve is selecting the best way to tell us about the weather. still chilly this morning, steve. >> it is. 20s, 30s and 40s. there's enough of a breeze sfo, 49. half moon bay, 48. cassie jean in el granada said

sports bar planning to move to san francisco. talking about mccovey's in walnut creek. it's been a go-to spot for sports fans for years. there's video. this was shot during the world series. it shows the restaurant which was named after giant' hall of famer willie mccovey. the owners say they plan to move near at&t park in san francisco sometime in the future. last day scheduled for february 2nd, the day after the super bowl. certain foods may be able to help people -- you, maybe, if you drank too much on new year's eve and have a hangover. doctors say a glass -- i'm not an expert. a glass of coconut water, a sports drink or a banana is good for a hangover because the electrolytes help with dehydration. loaf levels of b-6 vitamins may intensity hangovers. they say try eating foods that are high in b-6 like salmon,
