the suspect as 21-year-old stacy hawthorne. police said he was involved in a fight at motel 6. he ran off with a gun and stole a car and tried to run over a police officer and crashed through a locked gate and ditched the car. if you have seen hawthorne or recognize him you're asked to call police. several bay area homes and businesses were flooded and suffered serious water damage. a storm damage assistant center is set to open in san mateo county. we went to a trailer park in redwood city. it was the area's hardest hit. >> there's a lot of mold. >> garcia was quick to show us the mold in her home because ofriopew= storms. she's had to replace all the flooring. they was busy repainting while her husband was replacing the doors.

thousands of police officer from all over the united states turned off to give farewell to a new york police officer killed in the line of duty two weeks ago. wenjian liu was shot to death along with his partner ramos. >>reporter: nypd officers played taps under a gray and cloudy sky

in honor of nypd detechive liu who was killed in the line of duty along with his partner raphael ramos. thousands of nypd officer and police from coast to coast saluted a life that was devoted to the care and safety of others. politicians and top law enforcement officials attended the service. but it was the heart breaking emotion displayed by his bride of two months that had many of the funeral in tears. >> my wenjian will always have my heart. i love you forever. >> police commissioner williams braton told the mourn er ers that detective liu always wanted to be a police officer. >> for 7 years he kept the streets of brooklyn safe. for seven years he sought out of
