a paraglider witnesses a midair collision, and even worse -- >> the red wing pilot is his wife. >> a husband's heart stopping moment watching her parachute drop like a rock. >> and this gets a lot weirder. and everybody loves roasting marshmallows. but -- >> this guy has taken it to another level. >> why doing it over a volcano makes it smore delicious.

>> and a guy's buddies dare him to -- this is really clever not stupid at all. >> why this ride doesn't last long. >> ahh! a great way to end your year is to do something you love to do like paragliding. this is alistair jones, he is paragliding in colombia. this is new year's eve. you can see a number of paragliders circling around. but alistair the paraglider with the orange wing is flying erratically not following protocol. making tight turns, not following the order of the other paragliders that causes a problem. >> oh. >> bingo. those two paragliders collide. the one with the orange wing with the one with the red wing. the red wing pilot is his wife.

now what do you do? you can't help. all you can do is scream and panic. they're thousands of feet in the air. he's hundreds of feet away from her. he is screaming at her to throw her reserve chute. you see both paragliders tangled up. the orange pilot's wing is still flying, but they are descending quickly. >> it looks like his wife's canopy is wrapped around the guy with the orange. the pilot of the orange glider also a woman. now they're descending towards the ground. you see the reserve chute out. his wife starts to tug at her main chute, pull it pull it eventually you see the two chutes separate. now she's under her reserve chute, which she has very little control over. the other woman with the orange glider separates and is able to fly and land safely. alistair lands his glider not sure of the fate of his wife. there she is. she landed about 30 feet up into

a tree. the reserve catching in a tree. the local mountain climbers were able to lower her down safely. she had a sprained ankle, but that's it. alister said be careful when you're making your turns, follow protocol and follow the route of other gliders around you and just watch out. every few days we find a video of girls behaving badly. this is in thailand. we see a girl get out of a car. watch what happens. this woman pulls another w out of the car. no word on what started this conversation. right off the bat this is a heated exchange. this is going to get a lot worse, guys. keep watching. just after we see this large truck pull up to the stop light, we see an officer appear from
