iiiiiii. another than a people people marched through the streets of paris remembering the 17 victims murdered in separate terror attacks around the week. the obama administration was represented by the rus ambassador to france. i have asked whether or not the united states should have sent someone with a higher profile than the ambassador to france. i think it's fair to say that we should have sent someone with a higher profile.

>> despite the failure to send a high-ranking official, there should be no doubt about the relationship that is strong with france. today, paris remains on high alert. this is video of a school. france ordered 10,000 troops in the street. 17 people died in the attacks which began last wednesday with a massacre at the newspaper. 15 prisoners were released from cuba. the uni guided prisoners were held by the castro government. hundreds of mental health workers have launched a week- long strike at kaiser permanente hospitals across

california. california. as alex savidge explains, they are upset about a staffing shortage. >> what do we want? >> they hit the picket lines early this morning outside of kaiser hospital. mental health professionals staging a week-long strike across california. a total of 2600 psychologists, therapists and social workers have walked off the job calling on kaiser to higher more help. >> kaiser's policy seems to be to save on labor costs year after year. >> it's gotten to the point where it's just immoral. >> reporter: union members say some patients have to wait months for followup appointments and for those suffering with depression anxiety and other serious conditions, delays in treatment can have tragic consequences. >> we've had a number of suicides of people not being ail to get to see their provideer. >> from our perspective it's worse than the va scandal because we've found direct

links to deny patient care. >> reporter: the national union of healthcare workers has spent the last four years trying to negotiate a contract with kaiser management and the main sticking point in the talks has been the issue of staffing levels but kaiser is adamant. there is knee short -- no shortage of mental health workers. >> we've increased the staff by 25%. and our membership has grown 8% during that same time. >> reporter: kaiser calls this work stoppage a distraction and accuses the union of unfairly attacking the provider's reputation. but these employees say the situation is only getting worse, with the affordable care act leading to an influx of new patients, patients facing a frustrating backlog. >> a lot of times when they come in, they are angrin because they've had to wait so long. and then when i tell them i can't see them again for another three weeks, they are even more upset. >> reporter: there will be

picket lines outside 35 hospitals across the state through friday. alex savidge, ktvu channel 2 news. police are searching for the person responsible for a shooting that injured five people at a nightclub where chris brown was performing. [ sound of gunfire ] >> this is video showing brown's reaction to the gunshots inside the fiesta nightclub on monterey highway. he was only on stage for a couple of minutes when the gunfire erupted just before 1:30 sunday morning. it was chaotic inside as people ducked for cover and ran out. five people were shot and are recovering at the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. >> everyone was scattered everywhere. more shots fired as i left out the building and then i just saw, you know, cops in front. i just kind of ran to the sidewalk. trying to gather all of my friends.

>> reporter: this was the second time in less than five months that a shooting occurred during an event featuring brown, the first event happened in west hollywood. brown is scheduled to be back in hollywood for a concert at the s.a.p. center. three firefighters in sacramento now in the hospital after battling a house fire earlier this morning. where they became trapped during the firefight. a foggy start to the day. rosemary will be here with what you x expect for the rest of your workweek. >> one down, one to go in the recovery of the black boxes from air air shaw -- airasia flight 8501.

three firefighters were injured while battling a sacramento house fire. they became trapped in the basement of a home where a fire broke out at 6:30 a.m. there's no word yet on how badly they were hurt. but one firefighter reportedly has serious injuries. they were transported to the uc davis firefighters' burn institute and investigators are looking into why the firefighters went down into the basement. >> right now we're in the

preliminary stages of the investigation. >> firefighters say flames moved quickly and house was fully engulfed. no one was at home when the fire started and the cause is under investigation. relatives on board flight 8501 may soon learn what caused the plane to crash killing all passengers and crews. as david piper reports, authorities know the locations of the black boxes and they are setting their sites on the fuselage. >> reporter: the black boxes now in the hands of authorities. divers bringing the recorder to the surface after redriverring it from a peace of the plane's wing. it do take two weeks to process. thatmy help investigators figure out what caused the jet to come down more than two weeks

ago. the cockpit voice recorder located 56 feet from the other box but remains 105 feet below water. it's stuck under heavy wreckage. crews working to unkov -- to recover the fuselage. >> translator: i still believe in that part, there are still victims to be found. >> reporter: the discovery of the black boxes comes after the first major piece of the plane was removed from the sea this weekend. a local official says the jetliner might have exploded as it fell from the sky and most likely from a rapid change in air pressure. >> the piece of the aircraft are shattered. it means there's explosion from pressure. >> reporter: in bangkok, david

piper, fox news. animal rights advocates are protesting against whole foods for what they say is violence against animals. they protested at a whole foods in san francisco yesterday. one of dozens around the country. they accuse whole foods of marketing itself as humane when they say there is no humane way to slaughter animals. >> demanding that whole foods take animals off of their menu. if they really care about animals, the minimal thing that they can do is to stop using them and stop the hurting them. >> the protests follow the recent posting of a video that calls truth matters that claims to show sick and dying hence in sick and fill 24eu conditions at an egg farm. a whole foods representatives said they had visited petaluma farms and did not see conditions as portrayed in the video. they say it's unfortunate this group is singling out whole foods when we do more than any

other grocer in the u.s. to improve farm animal welfare. google buses are not just for google employees anymore. this is the first full week of google's new free neighborhood shuttle service. ulall-lick electric buses travel. the service began on friday. mountain view is launching a separate commuter today. at san francisco international airport, there are delays up to two hours today due to the fog. ground delay program scheduled to remain in place until 5:00 this evening. oakland international airport is reporting clear weather with no delays. good afternoon. our quiet weather pattern is going to continue for your monday. let's step outside. take a look at a beautiful view at the golden gate bridge. we have some low lying fog there. outside of that, no trouble getting across the bridge at this hour. we do have a couple of trouble

spots. tori told you about one, sfo reporting delays up to two hours and oakland still reporting a little bit of patchy fog as well. down to a half-mile for some. in areas like santa rosa, napa, concord, you cleared out earlier than you did yesterday. because of it, your temperatures are up a few degrees. it should feel warmer in your neighborhood at this hour. as we get into your pattern for the day and the week ahead, we'll remain dry. we have a ridge of high pressure off the pacific. this is going to stick around. that means that storm track stays to the north of this. we have a system diving in. it won't brick us any rain but it will bring us wind. as we get into the second half of the day. our air quality is going to begin to improve. today is another spare-the-air day. i will show you the numbers in just a moment. the winds right now generally light, half moon bay reporting 13 miles an hour and we have six reported in areas like hayward, 3 in san jose. but i think for the second half of the day, the winds begin to pick up a little bit and we need the wind to help clear out some of the pollution.

a winter spare the air alert in store for your afternoon. as we get into tuesday. moderate air quality expected. for today, slightly unhealthy in areas like the north bay as well as the santa clara valley. temperature-wise, 63 in antitook. 50 in oakland we're still dealing with some of the fog and the cloud cover. 56 in san francisco. 59 for santa rosa. afternoon highs for today, upper 50s low 60s. these numbers a lot like yesterday. it's hard to tell the difference from one day to the next but the good news, at least the air quality is going to improve a little bit as we get into tomorrow. for the week ahead, the dry spell will continue. temperatures will be in the low to mid-60s for the afternoon. cool overnight lows but not too bad for this time of year and then as we get into the weekend, we're still looking at the possibility of some rain, the models have actually backed off a little bit. but we have a few days out and so we're just still hoping we get rain. >> it's almost a wish forecast. we wish hard enough it will happen.

>> thank you. well, up to $100 million. that's what developers behind a proposed nfl stadium in los angeles are expected to recoup from local texas. when the proposal was unveiled last week by the st. louis rams, officials said there would be no tax payer dollars used for the project. however, according to an outline released by developers, there will be multi-million dollar public paybacks to them in the first five years, the complex is open. it would come from tax dlears generated by the stadium and housing project. the development would be in inglewood next to the l.a. forum and the hollywood park racetrack. tesla could be seeing its first major all-electric comet door. the new car introduced by general motors and why some analysts say its name may cause some confusion.

another drop in the price of oil tugging prices lower in trading. exxonmobil, chevron and other companies are down 2%. the dow is down 113. the nasdaq is down 43 and the s&p is down 18. now, the recent slump has forced investors to rethink forecasts for the quarterly season that starts this week. crude oil prices continue to

fall. they are at their lowest in six years trading at 46.22 a barrel. they were down below 46 for a time today. some analysts are predicting it could drop to $41 before spring and may never return to $100 a barrel. while consumers are enjoying cheap gas, the decline in prices is hitting oil producers, including those in the u.s. quite hard. also, today, general motors unveiled its new all electric concept car, the chevrolet bolt at the detroit auto show. gm says the bolt hatchback will be able to go 200 miles on a single charge. an exact release date was not set. but gm says it will sell for about $30,000. and that would put it in competition with tesla's model three that was announced last october. industry analysts say the bolt name, though, is likely to create confusion with the chevy's hybrid bolt and gm says the name could change.
