hours putting out hot spots here in this building that have been smoldering ever since this fire first started but we were just told a short time ago by the chief that they believe they have put out all of the hot spots here with had building. so possibly the pop up operation sort of winding down. it is intersection of mission street here in city. let me show you the fire from last night. it started just before 7:00. huge flames were pour frog the roof of the building. there are about 18 housing yonts from what we understand on the third floor of this building and the people who were inside those units last night did everything they could to try to escape the flames and the smoke. firefighters were forcedcome in and had had rescue fire people from a fire escape who became trapped and once they went inside la night, crew did find a man unconscious on third floor. he tried to revive that man but he was later pronounced dead. it sent six people to the
