we're live in sunnyvale where police are searching for a car peculiar they say they were forced -- a car burglar they say they were forced to shoot out. a fire at a safeway. the damage it caused to force the doors to be closed overnight. good morning. it is 7:00. we're live in san rafael, where this 24-hour safeway was closed overnight. a fire started in a trailer in the loading dock right here. a lot of smoke got into the store. coming up in minutes, alex savidge will have more on the fire and the efforts that kept the flames from spreading. welcome back to "mornings on 2." i'm tori campbell.

sebastopol, petaluma, low 40s. angwin, 47. i think tomorrow at this time, they will be 57 as the warm air begins to move in. high clouds to the north. mostly sunny. 60s for many. but temperatures looking like they will go above here for the rest of the week starting tomorrow. here is sal with an update on the traffic. i don't think there's anything too bad yet, right? we've had a couple of things but they haven't been supermajor, not the kind of thing where there's lane closures. you we are getting slow traffic. the drive time from the carquinez bridge to the maze is up to 34 minutes. there is a lot of slow traffic in richmond and emmer is em-- el -- el cerrito, we deep an

-- we keep an on eye 680. that's a mess from earlier crashes in pleasant hill that have been moved to the side. 680 and 242 are backed up from highway 4. you need extra time on this commute. it's 7:02. back to the desk. >> thank you, sal. police in sunnyvale are investigating a shooting involving an officer from another south bay city and a suspected car burglar. janine de la vega joins us live from sunnyvale to tell us how this all unfolded. >> reporter: police had this intersection at el camino real and wolfe road closed for several hours gathering evidence that they hoped would lead them to a white mercedes sedan. >> the roads are reopen. but officers are hoping any witnesses will come forward. it started at 6:00 in the city of santa clara, where two officers were investigating auto burglaries and found a suspect. they followed the suspect vehicle, that white mercedes sedan into the city of sunnyvale. when the sedan pulled over on el camino there wolfe road.

one officer got out of the vehicle and approached the mercedes. police say that's when the mercedes sped toward the officer and that officer feared for his life. >> i wish we had more details on the vehicle. obviously, may have bullet holes on the right side. we're continuing to investigate and look into the matter and see what else we can find out. see if there's additional witnesses. if somebody witnessed something, i would appreciate a call. >> reporter: the second officer chased the mercedes on wolfe road but lost it. neither officer was injured. it's unknown if anyone in the mercedes was hit. the sunnyvale department of safety is heading you the investigation. they are unsure how many people were in the mercedes and are working to get a license plate number. the detectives are also look looking to see if there was any surveillance video in the area that may have captured the chase or the shooting.

we're still waiting to get an update from the sunnyvale $of public safety -- department of public safety. when we do, we'll bring it to you. >> thank you. a 24-hour safeway store in san rafael just reopened this morning after a fire forced it to shut town. alex savidge has more. >> reporter: brian, good morning. the safeway store back open after this fire that broke out here near the store's loading dock in the back. store. this is where a trailer that was parked in this area caught fire. you can see that part of the store was charred there. you can see the wall and the burn marks there. but fire crews are able to come in here and contain the fire before it could do any more damage to the store itself. let me show you some photos tweeted out bite the san rafael fire department after they were called out to the supermarket.

this fire started around 11:30 last night. that trailer that caught fire had a pressure washer inside of it that was being used to clean the store. that trailer was destroyed but thankfully flames didn't spread to some of the flammable and combustible materials inside the loading dock. the fire, however, did send quite a bit of smoke drifting into the store. that prompted the closure of this safeway store that normally would be open 24 hours a day. the store after they let the smoke dissipate inside finally reopened about 6:00 this morning. customers were allowed to come back inside and right now, brian, investigators with the san rafael fire department trying to figure out exactly what caused that trailer to catch fire. i think firefighters certainly caught a break here, they were able to stop the fire from spreading into the store itself. >> they certainly did great work from keeping it from

spreading into a medical marijuana dispensary in berkeley can stay up and running while it defend itself in court. the berkeley's patient group is on san pablo near ban cost. a judge has agreed to allow it to stay open pending a hearing. in may of 2013. federal officials moved to close the dispensary. the 9th court circuit of appeals will decide whether berkeley can join the fight. >> to have the federal government come in and shut down the city's dispensaries, any one of them would be catastrophic for the city. >> the leland scape is change -- the leland scape is legal land landscape is changing. a san francisco water water manager faces a five-day suspension for allegedly urinating into a sierra

foothills reservoir. coworkers saw martin urinate and this usually holds water as drinking water. the puc said the reservoir has drained at the time and there's no health danger to the public? this weekend's storm brought a lot of water to the bay area. what does it mean for the drought? lexington jumped 8 feet over the weekend. the santa clara water district said the reservoirs went to 38% capacity. but they are not exactly celebrating. they are still below normal. we're still in a drought. >> it's just good to see the water in the reservoir. >> it was a good thing this was two storms one after the another. the second produced more runoff into the reservoirs. >> east bay m.u.d. and the san francisco public utilities commission say the storms brought several inches of rain and boosted their reservoirs. still, the biggest concern is warm temperatures and the

snowpack is a third of what it should be. the north bay has so much water right now from the storm, officials say they've resorted to pumping some of it into the bay. the marin water district says they are at 98.4% of capacity. many lakes and reservoirs are starting to spill over from the storm. so the water district is now sending thousands of gallons a minute out into the bay. creeks and water falls that were dry are now flowing which is attracting many people to popular hiking spots. a san francisco ride sharing company is getting into the delivery business. side car has been offering delivery in the city. now it says it's expanding the service to ten more cities. side car says it will match business deliveries with passenger rides through its app. the company says it expects same day delivery of meals, groceries and flowers. will make up half of the business by the end of the year. some san francisco teenagers are getting ready to cut the cord to their gadgets. it's all part of the nationwide

tech timeout challenge. according to the examiner, students at sacred heart in san francisco will turn in their laptops, phones and tablets on thursday. they won't be able to plug in for three days. the school is the first in the bay area to take part in this challenge. officials say while it encourages the use of technology, including school- issued ipads, it's important to find a balance and take a break. >> there is a time where we didn't have any of this. >> i know. >> hard to imagine. >> hard to imagine not having access to it. i came in and couldn't find my phone, where is it! i did find it. coming up, rethinking police policies. in 20 minutes, what's prompted city council members in berkeley to reconsider tactics they want police to start using and so some of them can stop using other things. and next, brian williams steps away from the anchor desk. the latest on accusations that he's been known to bend the truth. we're still looking at a commute that is slow in

7:13. the future of brian williams is up in the air this morning as the network investigates his admission of what he's calling false memories from the iraq war. nbc news aired last night as it does every night with williams's name still on it. however, lester holt was at the anchor desk. williams took himself off the air after he was caught embellishing an iraq war story, saying he was in a helicopter hit by enemy fire a few years ago.

his chopper was not hit. a veteran war correspondent was willing to give him the benefit of the debt -- of the doubt. >> things that you thought that you remembered well, they start to get fuzzy around the edges. >> other stories he's told are being scrutinized. some people are coming forward to disfoot his accounts of hurricane katrina. the bay area woman caught several times trying to board flights without a ticket has done it again and is back behind bars. marilyn hartman made her first court appearance this florida this morning on fraud and trespassing chargesle officials say she fought onto a flight from minnesota to florida without a ticket and checked into a luxury resort near jacksonville under another guest's name. she's been arrested at san francisco, l.a.x. and phoenix for trying to sneak onto flights. she being held on $50,000.

historic artie kaths from the first moon landing are on display after they were found tucked away in kneel armstrong's -- neil armstrong's closet. perhaps the most exciting find is this camera used to record the film foostage of armstrong stepping on the moon in 1969. take a look at this image captured on the telescope. does it look like something? it looks like a smiley face. >> it does. >> the eyes are two distant galaxies. astronomers say the gravitational pool between the clusters is so strong, it distorts time and space around them resulting in the smile. the ring-like structure is an einstein ring named after the man whose theory of general relativity explains such phenomenon. >> you see the round head an everything. >> looks like a smiley face. no doubt. see if people are smiling

on the roads or not. how is the bay bridge toll plaza? >> it's okay. i think -- i think it's kind of a normal commute. you will expect what i show you at the bay bridge. it's backed up to beyond the maze. it's getting better in some of these lanes. we haven't had any major problems. but it's slow. we're also looking at slow traffic this morning on some of the other bridge crossings. it's slow approaching the richmond bridge and a little bit slow approaching the san mateo bridge. it does start picking up a little bit once you make it onto the span, as you can see from this live picture. i think one of the worse commutes is concord to walnut creek. we had a couple of earlier crashs that why in the lanes. they -- that were in the lanes. they are off to the side. traffic is slow in the area. 580 as well. we've had a couple of minor crashes and 680. so this area is -- it's very slow. but for a tuesday, i think you are probably expecting it. 7:16. let's go to steve in the weather center. >> we do have mostly clear skies. it's colder this morning. more 30s and 40s.

thousands commit to take action on local and global issues they care about. ktvu is the we day media partner. >> i went to that. a lot of fun. home depot is planning to make new hires across the country. many will be in the bay area. they are hiring 1500 workers at its 33 bay area stores. it's looking for 80,000 new workers nationwide. home depot says the new jobs will be in preparation for spring which is its busiest selling season. it's encouraging college students, retirees and veterans to apply. >> very cool. >> all right. 7:20. a meeting of two superstars, playing a little hoop. the usual request steph curry had for monet day vase. davis. the white house is confirming a hostage held has been killed.

sad, developing news. there's now word that 26-year- old american aide worker and isis hostage kaley mueller is dead. her parents released a statement saying they've been told that she's died. the white house also issued a statement confirming her death saying that kayla mueller represents what's best about america, dedicating her life to helping others in need at home and around the world. she was kidnapped by islamic state militants in august of 2013 while leaving a hospital in syria. she was killed in a jordanian air strike. but jordan dismissed that claim as propaganda. we don't have any word on how she died. this comes as president obama could ask congress as early as today to allow u.s. military force to fight islamic state militants in iraq and syria. there is support to go after isis but the word of

authorization will be the sticking point. most americans favor an all-out fight against isis including the possibility of using ground troops. many democrats are hesitant to go that far. it will be the first war vote in congress in 13 years. pack in 2002, congress passed a resolution authorizing president bush to use force against iraq. and that is a vote many democrats have regretted. new intelligence shows isis has been developing plans to kidnap more international hostages. there are concerns they will try to target refugee camps just across the border from syria. >> it's a very plausible scenario that isis could love to the refugee camps and target and i lace a western -- isolate a western aide worker or reporter and try to conduct a kidnapping and pull them into syria. >> a british journalist held by isis for more than two years is one of the last known western

hostages. he's appeared in multiple isis propaganda videos. oakland police hope to get new leads on a double homicide that happened near a church last month. officers handed out fliers around 10th and campbell. the fliers have pictures of a car that may have been used in the killings. it's a light blue, four door mercury. a reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest. doctors say a baby girl was born pregnant. in 20 minutes, the explanation behind this bizarre-sounding medical condition. >> reporter: and a temporary ban on tear gats and more cameras for police. on your way to the tunnel? well, you might have a little bit of slowing to wade through on some of these areas. this is 280 northbound at san jose and that traffic is also

dave clark has the day off. steve is also here. unlike dave, i did not step outside. >> i'm disappointed. >> i did. it's cooler. it's cooler. >> yes. >> it's much colder. a little chill there in the morning. i bet it will be a beautiful day. high clouds will be on the increase later. maybe to the north bay. there are a few 30s. that system might give a little bit of rain extreme northern california. maybe del north humboldt. but not much. a few high clouds, but overall, patchy fog. but it's the colder lows their morning. checking in with 30s an -- 30s and 40s. yesterday was 50s. woodside almost upper 30s but holding at 40 degrees. low to mid-40s. menlo park, palo alto, foster city, a little bit warmer. belmont, los altos hills. sunshine in the morning, mostly sunny. patchy fog. not a lot. there's some down towards gilroy. santa clara valley there is a little bit. it's colder. but mostly sunny. highs in the 60s. tomorrow is the day, we start to see a few more 70s.

we will take that to the rest of the week. here's sal now and unless i've said something that i missed or something -- it's okay. just normal traffic. >> it's kind of a normal commute. we've had a couple of issues out there that have been cleared to the side. but they've left their mark on the morning commute. this is a time for you to get on 880 before it really starts getting busy up to downtown oakland. that's 880 north on the right. you can see traffic is busy but it's not stop and go yet. it will probably get that way because it normally does starting after 8:00. right now, it's only 7:30. bay bridge toll plaza is backed up for a 25, 30-minute delay. no troubles on the upper deck of the bay bridge. westbound 580. that traffic is moderate. it will be very slow on 680 southbound as you drive down to the sunol grade and the nimitz freeway. let's not leave that out. that's backed up from 238. a pretty good long line until you get to about the new park area of fremont. now, it's 7:30. back to the desk. >> all right.

thank you. changes may be coming to the tactics berkeley police used during violent protests. this follows demonstrations last year which got out of hand becoming violent and destructive. paul chambers is live in berkeley with what is expected to happen tonight. >> reporter: good morning. on this evening, berkeley city council will discuss actions by police during last year's protest that injured some people and caused a lot of public outcry. >> very surprised and concerned about -- about what i think was excessive force of the police. and what i think was an overresponse. >> reporter: that was one of berkeley council members back in december when i spoke to him referring to scenes like this when officers went toe to toe with protesters, including a photographer. this was over killings over unarmed black men killed in new york city and missouri. the crowds got out of hand, injuring some officers and

later breaking windows and destroying businesses in the area. >> a few nights after that protest, another broke out. he received what he called a credible threat of protesters disrupting and possibly injuring police officers. tonight council will look into the incidents including the use of tear gas and rubber bullets. some suggest they are said to be looking at rekding officers wear body cameras and i will tell you we did try to contact the berkeley police officers association. hopefully we will get word back and also from city council. we're told there could be a protest before the meeting. a 17-year-old is in custody for the robbery and rape of a pizza delivery driver in antioch. the 22-year-old driver tells police she went to deliver pizza at a home on bluebell circle sunday morning.

that's when the police ordered her in the car and told her to drive to another location where police say he rained the -- raped the woman. >> her physical injuries aside from the sawlt are minor. mentally and emotionally, i'm sure it's immeasure measurable what she's going three you. >> a dom me know's spokesperson said they are shock and horrified about what happened and will work to support the victim. we're used to seeing crackdowns on speeders. but now they are looking for pedestrians who violate the rules. tara moriarty is live at the daly city b.a.r.t. station to tell us how they will be doing this. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. yeah. usually police are targeting drivers but this time they are also gonna be targeting pedestrians. people who walk, jaywalk, cross during a red light. these are all things that can be very frustrating for

everybody during rush hour. you can see they've already actually handed out some tickets. now we're set up on the corner of delong and john daly boulevard in the b.a.r.t. parking lot. one of two locations police are conducting the sting location. people we spoke with at westlake shopping center say they hope that this sting reminds drivers to slow down and pedestrians to cross when and where they are supposed to. >> i've noticed some clueless people out there, yeah, that happens and i hope i'm not one of them. people have their meal while they drive. a lot of them are talking on the phone. it's a lot going on, especially at this hour. >> john daly -- john daly sometimes in the morning. they never stop. the other lady said oh, that crazy guy. he's not stopping. almost hit the car. >> reporter: so again, we're at the b.a.r.t. station and the other location that's set up is at mission and

crocker. joining me live is officer jason craig with daly city police department to tell us more about this. how success f.m. have these been? >> we have an done this on three different locations. normally they are sponsored by the department of traffic and safety. this one is done on our own. the last three operations we've done, we issued 50 citations, 14 warnings and had three arrests. one for sales of marijuana and the other for three warrant arrests. >> reporter: you said people run away when you try to give them a ticket. >> we m a pedestrian that didn't want to pay the fine. we opted to run which wasn't the right choice to make. >> reporter: we see the officers are set up on their motorcycles and they are handing out tickets right now. what happens to you? do you have to appear in court or -- >> it's a bicht different than a moving violation. it doesn't go on your driving record. it's not a point. you have to pay the phone and

the fine is set by the court and your history with the court itself. >> reporter: it's probably not as much money but a good reminder. you said that the fatalities are up in the state with regards to pedestrians. >> ka that's correct. they did the -- that's correct. they did the national study and showed that fates and injuries are up -- fatality fatalities and injuries are up. >> reporter: in the second half of the day, you will be, targeting more of the drivers. >> correct. and then educating the drivers as well. >> reporter: thank you. appreciate it, officer craig. if you happen to be in daly city, slow down for the pedestrians or if you have to walk across the street today, make sure you definitely walk when it tells you to and definitely use the crosswalk. live in daly city, i'm tara moriarty, back to you. 7:36. and a former las vegas hotel and casino was imploded just

hours ago. >> the 12-story clarion opened back in 1970. it was called the debbie reynolds as well as the greek isle, the paddle wheel and the royal inn. it's the first hotel to be imploded in las vegas since 2007. the owner of the site wants to build a 60-story hotel in its place. a nonprofit that works with cancer patients in the mission district is being forced to move after losing its lease. they've been in the same pigs street building for over ten years. now the space is being taken over by mobile app tech company. the landlord tells the nonprofit its lease is not being renewed and they have to be out by march 31st. they say they haven't been able

to find an affordable space convenient for its clients. >> we're in a safe place for our clients. some of our services occur overnight. will our clients need to take two or three buses to get to us? >> the landlord says space is limited in the building and it would be much easier for the small nonprofit to find another place rather than double dutch which has 150 employees. they say they may hold a sit-in on the day the lease expires. in the meantime, double dutch is offering to help them financially. 7:38. one of steph curry's biggest fans came out to see the warriors play last night in philadelphia. but it turns out that admiration was very mutual. you can add curry to the list of monet davis fans. he met her and asked for her

autograph. monet who hopes to play basketball wore a curry jersey and got to take practice shots. >> he's my favorite player. his playing style is one of the best in the game. pretty exciting. i wasn't really paying attention when he first came out. but it was nice meeting him. >> she's a lovely young lady. she's from philadelphia. besides having talent in several sports she's an honor roll student and was named sports illustrated sports kid of the year. the lights are back on for people in the bay area who lost power during the weekend-- weekend storms. the weekend storms knocked out power to nearly 163,000 customers. we spoke with pg&e this morning and they tell us all of the storm-related outages have been restored. some say the outage was an inconvenience. others found a way to make it

fun. >> it was fun. we had -- having dinner by candlelight, wine, dinner. >> not too bad. the hardest hit areas were the north bay and peninsula. pg&e brought in crews from oregon, washington, and arizona. people on the east coast digging out from another major snowstorm. it's not over yet. while the storm is winding down, more snow is expected to fall through thursday. some areas saw up to 2 feet of snow yesterday. all rail service has been suspended to give crews time to catch up. schools are shut down and people are being encouraged to work from home. more than 62 inches of snow has fallen in boston since january 15th. some snow is being turned into the ocean because they've run out of space to put it. at least one person is dead and a others injured after a 15-pir

pileup on the new jersey turnpike. the crash happened around 9:00 last night during a mix of rain and snow flurries. vehicles involved included four tractor-trailers, two box trucks and a fully loaded bus. the crash is under investigation. but police say icy roads likely played a major role in the crash. 7:41. family members of whitney houston's daughter prepared to say their final goodbyes. the tragic connection to the date when bobbi kristina will reportedly be taken off life support. gay marriage becomes legal in alabama but up next, the defiant act that still has some couples unable to tie the knot. we're looking at a commute in the north bay, where traffic is actually doing pretty well, heading south to the golden gate bridge. although it's crowded. we'll tell you more about that -- straight ahead. well, almost a chamber of commerce day there with the golden gate bridge. get the photographer up and

:44. the transgender community in san francisco has declared today a day of action in honor of a transgender woman killed earlier this month. the 36-year-old was stabbed and killed in the bayview neighborhood on super bowl sunday. the suspect later reportedly killed himself. the woman's mother said she always feared for her daughter's safety and has a message for other parents. >> whatever your kids are going through, just love them. just love them. your kids need to know you have

convicted murderer charles manson's bride to be was planning ong marrying him so she could have access to his body when he dies. speculations circled after the wedding license expired last week. according to a report, manson called off the wedding after he learned that his 26-year-old fiancee was plotting to put his body on display in a glass coffin and charge people money to view his corpse when he died. a journalist writing a book on manson and claims to have spoken with the convicted killer said manson felt he was being played a fool. the journalist also says manson believes the idea is ridiculous because he insists he will never die. the lead guitarist of journey said he got ripped off for wedding fees.

intersection in sunnyvale. ktvu fox 2 reporter janine de la vega joins us live to explain specifically what police are looking for. good morning, janine. >> reporter: good morning. police are keeping their eyes open for a white mercedes sedan with bullet holes in it. a santa clara police officer shot at that vehicle during last night's commute here on el camino real near wolfe road. you would think there would be a lot of people who witnessed this. i just spoke with a sergeant and he said they are hoping more witnesses come forward. this unfolded around 6:00. ufers were santa clara from investigating a burglar trying to break into cars. they followed the suspect vehicle into the city of sunnyvale. they pulled it over at el camino near wolfe. one of the officers exited his vehicle and approached the suspect. investigators say that's when the mercedes sped toward the officer and the officer made the decision to fire his weapon. >> during the attempt to stop the vehicle, the vehicle drove toward the officer at a high rate of speed.

the officer feared for his life and fired several shots at the vehicle northbounded on wolfe road. the officer was not injured. >> reporter: another officer who was also on the scene in a marked patrol vehicle chased the mercedes northbound on wolfe road but lost the vehicle. the sunnyvale department of public safety is heading up this investigation. they are unsure how many people were in the mercedes and are working to see if they have a license plate number for that car. detectives are looking to see if any surveillance video exists. the officer involved in this shooting is on paid administrative leave which is standard in these types of situations. back to you. >> thank you, janine. 8:04. we now know more about how the man arrested and then released in san francisco's body parts case died over the weekend. police source tells ktvu 54- year-old mark andrus died saturday of gastrointestinal bleeding and shock at a local hospital. andrus was arrested january 30th after the discovery of a

suitcase containing body parts but he was released due to a lack of evidence. the body still has not been identified. our police source says investigators do not believe andrus acted alone. former san francisco police chief says with a key person of interest dead, investigators will now have to rely on forensic work and interviews to close the case. >> retracing activities talking to people trying to trace the path that leads to the murder of the individual. >> a police source says andrus was a heroin addict and his bodies showed the effects of a hard drive. we spoke to andrus's brother. he said he had not been in touch with him since his release from jail last week but said he was a good person. the men police say were street racing when they were hilt and killed by a -- hit and kill a jogger will enter pleas

next month. the 18-year-old esparza was in court. he waived normal arraignment -- formal arraignment. he and another man are charged are vehicular manslaughter and gross negligence. police say the two were racing at more han 70 miles an hour when they -- more than 70 miles an hour when they crashed into kirren pablo. she was killed. >> a very good-hearted young man. he feels extremely bad about the incident. >> both suspects are due back in court march 2nd to enter pleas. >> a 24-hour safeway store in san rafael is back open after a fire forced it to shout down. here's more. >> reporter: the safeway is back open after this overnight fire that broke out here near the store's loading dock in the back of the sayway where we are this morning -- safeway, where

we were this morning, it was a trailer that caught fire. you can see the flames did burn the outside of the building here. but thankfully, fire crews were able to come in and contain the fire before it do do any more damage to the store itself. let's show you some photos here. they were treated out pie the san rafael fire department after they were called out to the supermarket near manual freitas parkway and highway 101. this fire started around 11:30 last night. the trailer that caught fire had a pressure washer inside of it and it was being used at the time to clean the inside of the store. the trailer was destroyed by the fire. but thankfully flames didn't spread to the flammable materials inside the loading dock. this fire did, however, send quite a bit of smoke drifting into the store and that prompted the closure of this safeway that normally is open 24 hours a day. the store, though, finally did reopen at 6:00 this morning. now firefighters are trying to figure out what started this

pumping some of the water from the storm into the bay. they are at 98.4% of the capacity. many lakes and reservoirs are starting to spill over from the storm so the water district is sending thousands of gallons a minute out to the bay. creeks and waterfalls that were dry are now flowing which is attracting many people to popular hiking spots. >> it's wonderland. beautiful. you have an actual ecosystem thriving and going right now which is what we needed. >> despite all of the rain, the district is still reminding people in marin county to conserve their water. a san francisco water manager faces suspension for reportedly urinating in a sierra foothills reservoir. coworkers reported seeing martin sanchez urinating into the priest reservoir more than once back in january. it holds water used for bay area cities as driblging waters. the puc says the reservoir had been drained and there's no health danger to the public.

we're learning new details about the 69-year-old woman killed in a multivehicle accident which crudded a car driven by olympic legend bruce jenner. dnv records show the license of the woman killed had expired in 2007. police say the woman hit another car before being rear ended by jenner's cadillac escalade on the pacific coast highway in malibu over the weekend. after she was hit by jenner's car, her car veered into oncoming traffic and hit a hummer head on. police are still trying to determine who is at fault. the family of bobbi kristina brown is reportedly planning to remove her from life support tomorrow. that coincides with the third anniversary of the death of her mother, whitney houston. the new york post says the family decided it would be a way to keep mother and daughter

busiest day, brian and tori, as you know. i do want to mention traffic will be affected by a couple of things. first of all, let's start off with the bay bridge toll plaza. as we go there, you will see the traffic is getting a little bit better. it's better than it was 15, 20- minute delay. i want to mention that traffic will be okay on the san mateo and dumbarton bridges as well. let's take a look now at the commute in san francisco. northbound 101 looks good. so does southbound 101. police activity on the antioch bridge. avoid it in both directions. it's closed right now. we're trying to find out what's going on there. we do know for sure that the bridge is closed. you cannot drive on it. that's causing major delays in the area. as we move to contra costa county, southbound 680 is still very slow from concord all the way to walnut creek and beyond because of earlier issues. let's 8:16. let's go to steve in the weather center. sal, a little chill out there. in fact, a few clouds. some patchy fog. overall, a lot of sunshine
