san francisco. >> reporter: she is battling leukemia but is in remission. she is not terminally ill but if that changes she wants to choose how to end her life. >> i want that choice to be mine. to die where i want, when i want and how i want. >> she one of three cancer patients with two doctors who are suing the state, asking physicians be allowed to scribe drugs to bring -- prescribe drugs to bring a peaceful death to terminally ill patients. >> i would have to hope i was doing it the right way. >> the law in california is not clear whether a physician is at risk so physicians are deterred from making this choice veil.
