too many men over the wall and he is being told his car goes to the tail end of the field. now, the pro officiating system when it recognizes the men over the wall too early it sends a signal to that trailer and an official reviews video. too many men over the wall and by the nascar official who used to be stationed in the pit lane and now stationed on the back side along with the crew. those calls are to the tower and made official. they will go to the back. >> you are constantly under surveillance. when your car is on pit road it is being watched by a camera and maybe something that you have gotten away with it in the past. sometimes you can get by with the race like this. you are not going to get away

that situation. >> the best previous finish in this race is third. it is the seventh time that joe gibbs racing will go to victory lane in the unlimited. >> you know what i like about his car? it's the only 1 that is not all banged up. martin truex caught him and he came right down the cover. >> you know how you can tell how much harder he was running that last lap coming in? the thing was bombing out. he carried it in there as hard as he could. >> that's a good sign of how hard he had it. he turned that thing down to the lomb bine. >> harvick and logano taking their frustrations out in sheet metal as they come to pit road.

that will be the end of that for now. boy the way, he was pulled action way by a member of his team. he will head for victory lane and here is the cause of the upset between joey and kevin. >> i thought it might be aerodynamically challenge and that's what put it up on the race track, but you can see a lot like what jamie was talking about. matt yoakum is with him. >> he a conversation and what was the discussion with harvick? >> kevin being kevin like he is. like everywhere else. new year's and it's trying to help really. we had a run and keep pushing

and apparently i was doing 78 all night and it was working. we got in the corner and he got tight and they got in the fence and trying to help. he doesn't understand that he was trying to help. trying to help out and get to the front and win this thing. you go for the win and the second or third or fourth place doesn't mean anything. >> thanks joey. chris? >> not happy with the 22. it got heated. what did you say to joey? >> i said i didn't appreciate it. you know where and how far you can push and you can't push him up against the fence. just proud of them. they fixed the car and did everything they needed to do. just really dumb driving there at the end. you have to be aggressive and you can't lose your head. >> a heck of annest. this car is pete up. kevin harvick comes home 11th and joey across the finish line

in 6th. while we sort that out, wisconsin's matt climbs from his toyota a winner at daytona in the sprint unlimited. jamie little is there to greet him. >> what are a race it was. he led 21 laps and it was a long year for you. winless and you kickoff the season with a win. what does it mean for and you your team. >> that was fun to win at daytona. he was proud of his whole team and new editions and a lot of great personnel at the shot. they are working really fast. it's a get week and that's the first thing we look for. i thank them for the power and that's this year and they got a great partner to make this all happen. the two-time daytona 500 winner. they look out for him next

or go to sprint.com/half price. jeff gordon is with our matt yoakum. >> jeff gordon finished seventh tonight and i don't know how many times you both are on the race track. there is a lot on there and many that you didn't see. yeah i was kind of happy to survive some of those but we had an awesome race car and i thought they won the race and we were able to dish them when they got in behind. i thought we were in great shape. i got in the inside lane. couldn't get going. yeah, we just kind of fell back and working back up and getting damage. all in all it was a fun race and this thing is wild and that's what it will be like at the end of the daytona 500. i'm excited about the way our car performed and really excited about the predictions.

thank you. >> last year martin truex led one lap all season. it being looks like you just needed a dance partner tonight. the race was over when they got by for the lead and it was tough to pass them. he is really, really good here. apparently better blocker than i am, but can't say enough about anybody on the furniture. what a hot rod. i really needed that. these guys really needed a shot in the arm and really proud of their efforts and excited this year and hopefully it's something we can go out and do. >> the most laps and the story beneath the surface. his girlfriend battling cancer and going for treatments.
