a kidnapping case in the north bay has resulted in the arrest of three men. but there are lingering questions about what really happened inside of this home. good afternoon, i am tori campbell. we are learning new details this afternoon about a disturbing case out of sonoma county where three men have in arrested after being accused of holding a woman hostage and sexually assaulting her. alex has more on the investigation,

and tells us why the suspects girlfriend does not buy the story. >> reporter: this is just outside of santa rosa, with a scene of torture according to investigators. a 22-year-old woman was held captive for nearly two months and sexually assaulted over and over before finally escaping through an unlocked door last week. >> she was held hostage in horrific conditions. >> yesterday three men were arrested including the homeowner who was described as the mastermind. the other men, guillermo and jaime, were accomplices and kept her from leaving. but this morning we heard another side to the story from the girlfriend of one of those accused accomplices. this woman did not want to show her face. she said that the victim's story is made up your. >> >> she was not kidnapped at any time. she was not held her against

her will at any time. >> she said the victim was living here with the suspect and she says that they had an ongoing relationship despite the fact that he was married. >> she started going a little crazy when he he said he would not be with her because he loved his wife. >> why would you make this up? >> i wish i knew, honestly, so i could ask her, because this is hurting a lot of people. >> reporter: but these surgeons as it is not appear that the victim knew the three men involved in the plot and the woman was held hostage and assaulted. >> i can't imagine someone who does not know the inside story does not understand this information that we have, they might make an assumption about this. she was not flee- -free to leave or be on her own. some was constantly watching

her. >> reporter: the accused is being held on suspicion of rape and sodomy and false imprisonment. they are all scheduled to make appearances in court tomorrow. near santa rosa ktvu fox news. there has been a series of akins over the last 10 days one actually caught on video. a couple of businesses were hurt on tuesday- -it on tuesday in this shopping center. another break-in happened nearby in the rose garden shopping center. the owner of the mexican restaurant said he was one of the victims and he says it has happened before. >> it is frustrating to get that phone call in the middle of the night that your business has been broken into and you try to see the damage and the first time they told us, the second time they just broke one of our registers and damaged

them all. this time they could not get in . >> reporter: a week ago, lee said that the thieves rogue into jumbo juice and stole drawers out of the cash register and they are releasing surveillance videos in hopes that someone may recognize that the eaves. we are learning more about the arrests of three new york men who plan to leave these united states to join isis in syria. the men are originally from was pakistan. but they were living in brooklyn. one of the man was interested as he tried to board a flight bound for turkey. he appeared in court along with another man who plans to travel next month. according to new york police commissioners, they had a backup plan. >> if they were not able to go, they were going to try to acquire weapons and guns machine guns, and they sought to attack police officers specifically.

a man was arrested in florida. one of the manager the attention of federal agents when he posted messages on a website stating his desire to join isis and he talked of killing the president or planting a bomb at coney island. a modesto man is asking the obama ministration to rescue relatives taken hostage by isis in syria. >> they said if anyone posted any pictures of anybody or said anything anything derogatory about their organization that they will single them out. militants have taken over 11 villages in the past week, it is believed that they are holding close to 300 christians caption- -captives due to their ethnicity and religion. they have been persecuted for centuries there.

the attorney general loretta lynch has been nominated and is expected to win approval. she has been appointed as attorney in new york. she would be the first african- american woman to get the job. eric older is stepping down. police are examining clues and a broken screen door. the first homicide since october 2012. our reporter is telling us how this street brawl led police to the victim. >> reporter: a gun, a lack it can, and a screen door invasion robbery. police used all of those clues to catch the suspect on scene. the first call came in yesterday afternoon around 2:45. neighbors said that neighbor said that the men were fighting outside of the house on the porch.

others are worried about worsening traffic and where all of the new workers will live. housing in the area is already limited and costly. bus drivers who shuttle around tech workers will be deciding tomorrow whether or not to unionize. >> reporter: teamsters rallied outside the apple headquarters trying to get attention of shuttle bus drivers that they want to join the union. they pick up and drop off workers from apple, ebay and zynga. they make around $40,000 a year and they have complained it is not enough money and they are struggling to support families. the union says they doubt the company will react negatively. >> i do not think they need the bad press of stepping on the little people that make the company's work. i doubt that that will happen. >> the focus will be on them and we will do what we need to do to pressure them into hiring

of snow with a chance of a winter weather advisory kicking in friday and saturday. that is not an issue yet. and we're talking about mild readings out there all day, with 60s in san jose and livermore. check out walnut creek at 70 degrees. a chance for showers tomorrow and a better bet as the school system goes into the north. the rainfall expectation is not much. possibly one tenth of an inch. this will be producing snow up in the sierras and they may have chain control on interstate 80. here is keeping track of this guy over the next few days. sunny and warm with temperatures on track to reach those 60s and lower 70s and we will track this for friday and saturday, more clouds for tomorrow. it will be windy for friday, with winds gusting up to 40 miles per hour and temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s. temperatures tomorrow come down by 10 degrees.

afternoon trading on wall street fluctuating between gains and losses. prices have moved lower with energy stocks moving lower. tech stocks are not leading, take a look, they are down by 29. nasdaq is up 11 and facebook is improving the way to help people who post updates by suggesting thought of suicide. the company will use support posts, which look like this. one says you are not alone and offers way to talk to someone and how to get help. this book will also contact people reporting the posts and provide them with options to call or message a potential suicidal friend. apple has issued invitations for media events in san francisco that offer hints about the topic.

the invitation is on the left and it says spring 40, forward, a reference to sitting clocks for daylight savings times on march 8th. apple unveiled a high-tech watch in september and is reportedly getting ready to release in april. sheriffs deputies are issuing a warning after a mountain lion was seen today. it happened this morning on mountain would lay inside. the homeowners said the big cat was on their porch for 15 minutes and the deputies saw deputy saw the lion run off into the hills. another unconfirmed sighting in the same area on sunday of the mountain lion with two cubs. votes are in and now we are hearing from buster posey about being selected as the face of baseball. >> it's always really cool to be recognized by the fans. i am excited to start the
