east it looks like friday a completely different story. the bay area weather pattern a completely different story. we have more 70s and more sunshine. more on that coming up in just a few minutes. >> all right. thank you. there are now plans to file a civil lawsuit in the death of michael brown. brown's parents announced their intentions this morning to sue the city of ferguson and darren wilson. he is the white former policeman who shot and killed the unarmed teen last august. the investigation found the ferguson police department unfairly targeted african americans but cleared wilson in brown's death. >> obviously we disagree with those findings. at the same time it appears as though a lot of effort and a

lot of work was invested in both the federal investigation and state wide investigation. >> the brown family attorney says the lawsuit should be filed very soon. as we told you yesterday according to the justice department report ferguson police disproportionately used excessive force. they often charged black people with petty offenses and stopped them twice as often as whites. the city relied on the fines to fill holes in the city's budget. a high speed pursuit has ended in a crash. it ended just before 10:00 a.m.. police chased a suspected stolen car at over 100 miles per hour. it crashed on southbound 680 and walnut creek. one suspect was taken into custody and two others got out and ran. we are told all three are now

crime and to offer tips. ktvu fox 2 news. >> still no arrests as police search for a person involved in a shooting and car crash that shut down a freeway during the height of the evening commute. they enclosed a portion in oakland yesterday afternoon just before 4:00. two cars involved in the crash that's facing the wrong direction on 580 eastbound. one was smashed up and riddled with bullet holes. >> all of this shooting needs to stop. >> just don't believe them. why? >> traffic was gridlocked until after 7:00 last night. he suffered a nonlife threatening gunshot wound. police determined another driver was not involved in the shooting. a third person ran from the scene and that's who police are looking for now. dozens of people have

gathered at the immigrations and customs enforcement building in the hopes of freeing a woman who they say was wrongly convicted of child abduction. brian is live in san francisco. good afternoon. >> good afternoon to you. yeah, the group of about 60 people were here earlier. they have since left the location here in san francisco. they were here in support of a korean whom they say is being wrongly accused of abducting her child because they say she was being abused by the child's father. [ music ] >> reporter: these are about 60 marcher. they called for a stop to a possible deportation to a mother. back in 2008 she arrived from south korea on a visa to study

photography and art. in school she met and had a baby with a man. did you recall that time he allegedly physically and emotionally abused her. she fled to her home in november of south korea. she returned to hawaii because she waned to raise her now six- year-old daughter in america. she was detained by immigration officials. two days ago she was accused of child abduction. she hasn't seen her daughter for eight months. >> this is something that should be sited by a family court. the fact that there are so many systems at play here, this is a woman with limbed english who duds not know the system -- does not know the system and is a survivor of domestic violence. >> the father has been granted full custody of the child. they were delivering a 7000

students and staff turned away and classes canceled all to call attention to a planned tuition hike. >> i'm seeking to protest the hikes they are trying to price people at the university, that's what i'm doing today. >> police and chp officers kept their distance throughout the morning. most were not allowed with a few exceptions. these nurses got through and they told us they support the protesters. >> i think it's terrible. you can look online and see how much everybody who works here makes and you can see the top people make ridiculous sums compare today the low tier people. >> they are the ones that suffer. >> they have the ones that suffer. >> reporter: today's demonstration capped off a week of actions with a series of marchs and protests. organizers say this is the most effective way to get their message across. >> by doing a strike what

students are saying we are not going to put up with this anymore and we will disrupt business as usual. we have seen normal measures that cease to work, things like lobbying the legislatures. >> on tuesday they staged this dramatic demonstration, chaining themselves together and blocking highway 1 for several hoursment we are hearing four of them pled not guilty and the university suspended them for two weeks. this anger and frustration stems from a plan to increase tuition by as much as 5% over each of the next five years. school officials here in santa cruz. >> it's a terrible disruptionment they have research to do.

napa in the mid-60s. by the time the afternoon ends we'll have lots of low 70s out there. lots of thursday, sunshine. it will be a nice friday. by saturday we are thinking about mid-70s, around 75 to 76 degrees. once again, here we go, high pressure, strong high pressure developing offshore. that started to kick in yesterday. it moves in once again for today into friday. so warm, once again, upper 60s to the 7 0s. it is a dry pattern. there is a chance for rainfall this week. we'll have to wait a few days. here is the forecast mold. we'll take this to the weekend and into next weekend. maybe into next week. by wednesday we could be tracking rain showers here. it is a way out but the forecast model is hinting at a pattern change. nothing too significant. a few rain showers by next week by wednesday.
