rescuers say is the back story behind the truck and why they are confident no one is inside. pretty dramatic picture there. good morning. welcome back to "mornings on 2." it's tuesday, march 10th. i'm tori campbell. >> good morning. i'm dave clark. let's talk about weather and traffic. did you see fog on the way why. >> once i got through the caldecott, it was pea soup. >> some areas, not too bad. even on the coast. a lot of high clouds on the increase from the system which will be here late tonight, tomorrow with a lot of high clouds and probably not much else. if there's any rain it will be very light and tomorrow morning. you can see where most of the energy is going. it's going north of us. we'll get some cloud cover. the low clouds are already in place and the fog and that's going to keep temperatures, 40s, 50s, also gonna give us a pretty hazy day. visibility is awful. fairfield went from 10 to 9 about a quarter mile to an hour and a half. quarter mile for all of these locations.

7:00, 8:00 is when it's at its worse. 40s, 50s, being reported at novato. san francisco starting off with cloudy skies. 63 for a high and that's low clouds first and then high clouds later on. napa the same. a little bit on the warmer side toward napa,70. but 49 to start. the combippation of these two -- combination of these two will give us these temperatures. a little cooler for most. inland on a couple of temps. is a cooler pattern. here's brian with an update on the traffic. good morning to you. good morning, fn. if you are taking the eastshore freeway or plan on it, you might want to make alternative plans. it's very busy now because of an overturned big rig. as we pull up the maps, this is an overturned big rig that got into an accident. it had wooden pallets. it happened near university

avenue in berkeley. but as you can see, solid red from highway 4 in hercules all the way down past the point. this is university avenue and berkeley. this truck was carrying a bun -- bunch of wooden pallets. there are lanes open. the frontage road that goes into ashby and university is also closed. be aware of that. heavy traffic. sig-alert on the eastshore freeway. i wish i could tell you 680 was better on the other side. 280 in san jose. traffic also backed up slow and go through there. there is an accident to tell you about. 280 northbound as you approach 85 this morning. so that's definitely slow. 101 also very busy from hellyer as you approach 880. finally, bay bridge toll plaza, it's foggy. overall, not too bad. again, we talked about the traffic from the eastshore freeway. once you get past the point off university avenue, it picks up. once you get to the bay bridge toll plaza, it's slowing down.

20 minutes to get you across the span. back to the desk. >> thank you, brian. we have an update on breaking news in oakland. oakland fire and police are on the scene of a pickup truck that went into the estuary. these are live pictures. it's near the fruitvale bridge in alameda. the submerged truck has just been pulled out of the water in the past few minutes. that's the truck right there. white pickup truck. it looks like the windshield is fogged over. it's still attached to a tow truck that pulled it out of the water. here's some video from a little earlier this morning. fire crews now tell us the truck was reported stolen. you can see it there almost completely submerged in the estuary. there's no word on what happened to the driver. but search crews have determined that no one was trapped inside that truck under the water. >> it's in shallow water. we had the surface rescue units search the vehicle and found no

occupants. a single seat pup, single door -- single seat pup, single door pickup -- seat pickup, single door pickup. developing news after an early-morning shooting in a nay neighborhood. one man is fighting for his life after getting shot outside of his apartment early in morning. janine de la vega is live at the scene to tell us what led up to the shooting. good morning, janine. >> reporter: good morning, tori. police tell us the 22-year-old man was just drinking outside here with two of his friends here on the lawn where you can see there's still some beer cans there on the grass as well as clothes strewn around there. that is when a silver sedan ended up pulling up to them. >> two suspects wearing all black and wearing a black hat and wearing black bandanas drove up to the scene here, became involved in some type of disturbance with the three male

adults standing out in front here and during the course of that conflict, a gun was produced and our victim was shot three times. >> reporter: this all happened behind the chuck efnlts cheese near blossom -- chuck. >> cheese near blossom. police say he has gunshot wounds to his face, abdomen and heart. officers have the neighborhood roped off. they are looking for evidence and are still talking to witnesses. they are hoping to find surveillance video from the area to help them track down the suspects. play the two men got back in their car and sped away. the motive for the shooting is unknown. police are still trying to figure out if the victims even knew knew the suspect. that victim, his injuries are very severe. he's fighting for his life. we're told that homicide detectives are on standby in case they are needed to come

out. it was also a violent night on the streetses of oakland-- streets of oakland. alex savidge, in our newsroom now to explain what happened out there. >> well, dave, good morning. oakland police have their work cut out for them trying to piece together three separate shootings last night. two of them do appear to be connected. possibly a case of retaliation. the violence first broke out before 5:00 last night in west oakland. this was a drive-by shooting near chestnut and 28th street. neighbors describe a scary scene as many as 20 gunshots fired from a passing car toward a group of people on the sidewalk. police say a woman in her 20s was hit and died there at the scene while a man and a boy were injured and had to be hospitalized. neighbors also tell us that the woman who was killed out there had been trying to shield her child from the bullets when she

was struck. a few hours later at around 8:00, there was another shooting across the street from highland hospital. nobody was hurt here. but investigators do say the gun battle appears to be connected to the earlier shooting in west oakland. now, deputies followed a car connected to both shootings and wound up detaining several people inside. finally last night, just after 10:30 there was another shooting near 44th street and linden. a number of shots fired. it does not appear there were any victims. oakland police continuing to piece all of this together. no word yet on any arrests. >> all right, alex savidge. thank you. 7:09. the baby boy from southern california who was the subject of a statewide amber alert has been found in mexico. law enforcement officers were searching for 1-year-old jaden santiago and his father giavoni. l.a. police say the father stabbed the boyfriend of the baby's

mother and took off. police say u.s. marshals found him with the baby in tijuana, mexico later in the day and they arrested him. the boy's mother is now on her way to mexico to pick up her son. school officials in hayward are on high alert after a student was diagnosed with tuberculosis. now, the hayward unified school district sent letters home to parents and students at tennyson high school explaining the diagnosis. the name of the student is not being made public. the school district says that student was not on school ground when the diagnosis was made and will not be allowed back into school until the alameda county health department says it's safe. doctors say most people don't become i effected with it be -- infected with tuberculosis unless they've had several contacts with a t.b. patient. a lawsuit filed by a sailor with team oracle has led to the

seizures of one of the team's ka ta ma wrens. they seized hull number 4. joe spooner of new zealand is suing oracle for $725,000 saying he was unfairly fired over a pay dispute. the boat is being held as collateral. spooner worked for oracle team usa during the victories in 2010 and in the bay area in 2013. a program aimed at protecting nail salon workers and customers from harmful chemicals is being considered today in san jose. if approved, the healthy nail salon recognition program would be voluntary. salon owners and technicians would receive edge nix -- emcakes to alternatives to chemicals used at the salons. after the train something completed, participating salons will be certified as a healthy nail salon. >> sounds like a good idea. >> it certainly does. still ahead, there is a neighborhood in the bay area on edge. the explosion last night at a

a threat to poison baby formula with a pesticide has officials in new zealand asking for the public's help. police received an anon list letter -- a -- anon list letter. the writer threatened to poison bean formula unless the company stopped using a product. officials have tested thousands of baby formula and found no threat. in san jose, a 2-year-old boy was hit by a car in front of his home after slipping away from his mother and wondering into the street. it happened on midpine and mclaughlin avenue yesterday morning. the mother and son were outside when she got distracted for a moment. police say that's when the toddler made his way into the street and was hit by a passing car. the driver stopped. the boy has serious injuries

but is expected to survive. members of the fraternity of oklahoma have until midnight to clear out of their house. their chapter was shut down after this cell phone surfaced. now, leaders also apologized for the video calling it unsteaptable. the university -- unacceptable. the university cut their ties with the local chapter. even the white house has commented on the incident. >> we would certainly welcome the steps announced by the president of the university as well as the steps taken by the national organization to completely repudiate the comments that were included in that video. >> in the wake of the scandal, football recruit john delance will back out of his pledge to the team and cited personal reasons. students there are now calling

for the frat house to be completely torn down. 7:16. we want to check in with brian. he's still in for sal. see how things are going. i know it's pretty foggy in some areas. >> it is. excuse me while i move the maps a little bit. there is also a major accident along the eastshore freeway. that's backing things up. let's pull that up right now. this is an overturned big rig. it overturned near the university avenue offramp in berkeley. it had some wooden pallets and all of those fell on the freeway there. so they are working on not only moving await the big rig but picking up the wooden pallets. we got an e-mail from berkeley police advising people of the situation right now. the frontage road onto ashby avenue also closed for right now as they work to clear the scene. at least 68 minutes, folks, from the carquinez bridge to the macarthur maze.

the alternative really is if you can get onto 680 but that's heavy from concord into walnut creek. this morning moving on the livermore valley, traffic busy as you approach the dublin interchange really busy to the sunol grade. 280 in san jose where traffic is backed up from almaden valley expressway, also busy on 85. also from that point, it doesn't get better until you reach 280, also very busy from 101 on hellyer until you get to 880. san mateo bridge also solid backup as you approach the high rise into foster city. it's unclear whether it's affecting traffic but it's very busy out there. so be patient if you can. 7:18. here's steve. brian? >> yes, sir. >> our daly city observer antonio, i think he's all of 13, he will be in weather some day. he wants you to know on john daly and skyline, very, very foggy.

>> really? i believe it. >> many reports coming in. justin ruiz sent me a picture from the college of marin. very foggy there. william at morgan hill said we're foggy. it's widespread from north to south, west to east. there you go. there's a lot of holes, though in this system and the colder tops are heading north right there. where are they going? up and over. we'll get this -- i don't think we'll get much out of this. if we do, it will be late tonight and tomorrow. right now we're dealing with the fog. there it is. quarter-mile visibility to a half-mile. i mean, it went from ten miles like that. this could be thick in spots all the way down again parts of san jose which started clear. 40s, a little bit of mist for a few. not too much. 40s and 50s. temps haven't moved much. the spring thaws in full spring. that doesn't take long.

welcome back. state officials announced felony elder abuse charges in the controversial case of an assisted living facility in castro valley that's now closed. the former owner of valley springs manor and thetop administrator are accused of -- and the top administrator are accused of abandoning residents in 2014 for several days. investigators say the only people who stayed behind with those patients were a janitor and a cook and they worked without pay until those residents were moved. 7:25. there is a significant new twist in the case involving the so-called speed freak killers. back in 2012, thousands of bone fragments and the remains of three people were found in a well in san joaquin county. they were believed to be the victims of so-called speed

freak killers. shermantine wrote detailing where the bodies would be found. but a senator said when she turned that letter over to the sheriff, files of missing people connected to the case were erased. >> it's about getting to the bottom of why missing persons that are associated with the shermantine/herzog case why they were deleted from the attorney general website. >> it's my understanding that the cases were not deleted, that they were transferred to the department of justice for management and oversight for a period of time. >> the state senator has filed a federal motion accuseding of sheriff's -- accusing of sheriff's department of mishandling the case. another 49er arrested and the drama may not be over. the reason it could be another rough day ahead for fans of the

arriving. let's take a look at major problems on the roadways. the major problem was along the eastshore freeway, they are continuing to remove this overturned big rig carry wood pallets. that truck overturned and there's wood pallets. in any case, it's affecting traffic near university avenue in berkeley and really the drive time from the carquinez bridge to the macarthur maze every time i check on it, keeps on increasing. right now, it's 80 minutes from the carquinez bridge. once you get past university it's okay once you get to the bay bridge toll plaza, also very busy, 680 southbound from concord into walnut creek. take a look at highway 24. also in walnut creek, this is the best shot we have. you mentioned the low clouds and fog. you can see through there. some of those commuters, hearing along the eastshore freeway. it's definitely slow and go. there is an accident in orinda to tell you about. it's off to the right-hand shoulder but the damage is already done as you approach

the caldecott tunnel into oakland. finally, highway 4 through the pittsburg baypoint area. slow and go through through the morning. back to the desk. >> thank you. authorities are investigating a novato woman after her neighbors report hearing blasts from coming from her house. this is the same woman accused of setting off explosives weeks ago. neighbors heard an explosion around 5:00 yesterday morning evening at a home on indian valley road. that's where tara moriarty is right now and she joins us live. good morning, tara. >> reporter: yeah, this is a very nice neighborhood. it's a windy, private road with big homes and dated driveways but neighbors say what's been happening at this home behind me over the past couple of weeks is unexpect and scary. now, last night, the bomb squad came here for the second time in just weeks. authorities detaining 43-year- old lorine lee mason february

13th. authorities discovered a cache of explosive devices and crystal meth. mason went to jail on charges of possessing and igniting devices and child endangerment. her 5-year-old daughter lives with her. neighbors say the house is owned by mason's mother who has moved out of state. >> shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. i don't know what kind of person has explosive devices in their house. this is a nice neighborhood. it shouldn't be an issue. >> reporter: mason made bail day the same day she was arrested along with her boyfriend. now investigators want to know if new explosives were obtained since then. mason is already accused of using explosives to threaten or intimidate. we are told her daughter was not here last night. back to you. >> thank you for the update. 7:34. the search is intensifying for a child molestation suspect who escaped from custody in san jose last friday. the santa clara county sheriff's office says catching

43-year-old johnell carter is their top priority. during a routine physical therapy appointment last friday, carter overpowered a deputy and escaped. the group bikers against child abis have taken it upon themselves to protect the 9- year-old girl carter is accused of molesting while his whereabouts are unknown. members of the local chapter stood outside her home yesterday and they told us they watch out for victims of child abuse. >> i think it's awesome that they are protecting somebody like that. it's awesome to me. >> deputies have wildly distributed carter's picture, alerted state authorities and formed a multi-agency task force to try to find him. another 49er player facing legal problems. this time it's bruce miller. he wears number 49. santa clara police arrested

miller, who is engaged to be married, on suspicion of battery. this comes after a text filled with profanity was posted on instagram. >> that's why the cell phone information could be vital to the nfl's review of the matter because it's not just -- it wasn't just a crime committed for the nfl. it's the nfl conduct policy. it's a much broader investigation. >> well, the 49ers released a statement about bruce miller. they said "we're disappointed to learn of these reports and will do tower due diligence in collecting all of the relevant information." a database of nfl player arrests show miller is the 11th 49er to be arrested since 2012. that's one of the highest totals in the nfl. all of this comes just as other 49er fan favorites and team

girlfriend. the mercury news says the d.a.'s office may include a gun enhancement because graves was wearing his service weapon during the alleged sexual assault. the woman who is suing a silicon valley venture capital firm took the stand. she testified that she went to a senior partner about sexual harassment from a coworker and was told not to make a mountain out of a molehill. she's suing for $16 million. the jury was given evidence of the firm's praise of her before she was fired three years ago. 7:38. well, sugary drinks are under attack again in san francisco. pam cook is in the studio now. tell us the new actions that will be taken today. >> there are three separate proposals being outlined all designed to regulate and reduce

it's taking off the drinks off the menu and will no longer feature sodas as part of the kids' meals. they say this is to offer guests options that match lifestyle needs. burger king has been under pressure to make the changes after similar moves were made by mcdonald's and wendy's. a tiny fish could pose a big problem for caltrans and it's plans to detonate the old eastern span of the bay bridge. a state protected fish could be swimming in the waters before the bridge. the demolition work could threaten about 1700 of them. according to caltrans, wildlife officials want more money. currently the bridge is paying out $17 million to agencies to offset environmental damage that's potential. uber promises to fix what it calls a big problem. at 8:00, the issue forcing the company to create 1 million

known athletes died in a helicopter crash. witnesses say they were on board two helicopters that collided in midair over northern argentina. they were filming a european reality show. mock the dead are swimming olympic gold medalist camille and bronze medsallist boxer alexis and a sailing pioneer. a total of ten people died in the crash. 7:44. a federal judge in texas refusing to act quickly on his court order, the one that blocks president obama's ecket give actions on immigration. >> the justice department asked that judge to review his ruling by the end of the day yesterday. but the judge instead set a hearing date of march 19th due to what he called the seriousness of the matter. the state of texas and 25 other states filed a lawsuit saying the president overstepped his authority. 12 other states that support president obama's actions on immigration, they are now calling on appeals court to

lift the judge's block. there's word this morning, hillary clinton plans to address the controversial e- mail issue later today. in the meantime, a white house spokesman is now saying president obama traded e-mails with her while she was secretary of state and knew that she used a non-government e-mail account. now, this seems to contradict a statement from the president that he learned about hillary clinton's private e-mail account through news reports. white house spokesman said yesterday the president was referring to hillary clinton ally exclusive use of private e- mail and the details of her account. he said the president and hillary clinton exchanged e- mails but not a large amount of them. 7:-- 7:45. officials in madisonson, wisconsin are -- madison, wisconsin are trying to figure out who is responsible for a

cyberattack. similar cyberattacks have happened in other cities around the country after officer- involved shootings. on friday, a madison police officer shot and killed an unarmed 19-year-old. [chanting] crowds of protesters gathered last night in the madison state capitol rotunda to express outrage over that shooting. tony robbenson was unarmed -- robinson was unarmed when he was shot and killed. police say one of the officers was assault and suffered a head injury before the shooting occurred. the chief of police visited with robinson's family and apologized for his death. >> unless or until we have all of the facts i think we have to do our due diligence to judge. >> made a terp mistake at one point which is completely

macarthur maze. as you can see the fog out there, you can see some cars moving through. this is south of university avenue in berkeley. it's very heavy from there because of this overturned big rig that has wooden pallets. they are working to clear that scene. eastshore freeway if you can avoid that at all costs. south bay traffic heavy as well. northbound 101, also on 85. pretty much typical hot pots in the -- hot spots in the south bay and the livermore valley, pretty heavy from the dublin interchange until you reach the sunol grade. moving onto the bay bridge toll plaza, the funny thing about this accident on 880, it's definitely making traffic lighter along the bay bridge toll plaza this morning. you can see traffic moving pretty nicely through there. if you can get to that point, it will be a long time before you do. probably, 20, 25 minutes to get you across the span. there is a lot of fog. chp issued a traffic advisory because of that fog along the span. finally golden gate bridge, there is an accident on the

an investigation is underway into what caused an e- cigarette to explode in a man's face in orange county. the explosion shot the filter across the room and the man suffered flash burns to his face and hand. shrapnel burned his bed. the man said he heard a humming sound right before it exploded. fire crews say they this is not the first time they've seen a vaporizer explodes. a dog named spike is back with his owner.

hour and a half really from the carquinez bridge to the macarthur maze. now, all of that traffic being avoided now from people that tike highway 4. 680 to 24 is your alternative. but that's also very busy as you can see from concord into walnut creek. senate bridge some id -- san mateo bridge, solid back up. this takes you 25 minutes. right now it's close to an hour as you approach the high rise into foster city. bay bridge toll plaza, funny thing about this, traffic light because of all of the traffic going along the eastshore freeway. it's not too bad across the bridge. about 10, 15 minutes across the span. there is fog out there this morning as well. back to the desk. >> all right. thank you, brian. we're following developing news in south san jose this morning. we're now learning new information about the man who was shot outside of his apartment complex shortly after 3:00 a.m. ktvu fox 2 reporter janine de la vega is live on the scene. has just finished talking to people who know the victim. >> what did they tell you?

>> well, his mother is still on the scene. she's very distraught. her 22-year-old son is still in surgery. it's unknown if he is going to survive. a family friend told us that he is a cook at oakridge mall and had come home from work and was hanging out with friends here outside when the shooting happened. this all took place at around 3:40 this morning. officers rushed to the scene and found the man on the ground with gunshot wounds. his friend told police they were all drinking outside when a silver sedan drove up to them and two men got out and approached them. the victim was rushed to the hospital where he is suffering from gunshot wounds to his face, be a toe men and -- abdomen and heart. officers roped off the scene to collect evidence and talk to witnesses. >> it's scary. like i said earlier, we've -- we've had very little problems here. it's been pretty good. once in a while, you get something. in the 20 years, nothing like

this. >> reporter: witnesses told polices two men drove off in a small silver sedan and the men were wearing all black including bandanas covering from faces from the nose down. it's unknown if the men knew each other. police say they responded to three different locations west of this seen where someone in a car was brandishing a gun to people. it's unknown if that is related to this case. police are holding the scene and have it blocked off in case homicide detectives need to take over. tori? >> all right, janine de la vega live for us in san jose. thank you. well, witnesses in oakland describe a disturbing scene where a woman was shot to death as she was trying to protect her child from bullets and then hours later a gun battle erupted near highland hospital that may be connected. fox 2's alex savidge is live with the latest. >> oakland police right now investigating the city's 19th homicide of the year so far.

it happened last night. it was before 5:00 in west oakland. this was a drive-by shooting that happened near chestnut and 28th street. the first of many shootings last night. neighbors describe a frightening scene as many as 20 gunshots fired from a passing car into a group of people on the sidewalk. police say in the end, a woman in her 20s was hit and died at the scene. neighbors say she had been trying to shield her child from the bullets when she was struck. a man and a boy also injure ed but were said to be in stable condition. and then around 8:00 last night, another shooting, this one right across the street from highlands hospital. investigators describe it as a shootout. nobody hit. investigators say this gun battle appears to be connected to the earlier shooting in west oakland. after hearing the gunfire at the hospital, deputies did follow a car and they wound up detaining several people

inside. no word if anyone was arrested. we also learned about a third shooting near 44th street and linden. a number of shots were fired there. it does not appear anyone was hit in that case. as for the homicide that happened last night in west oakland, we do understand there is a $10,000 reward now on the table for any information. >> what a story. alex savidge, thank you. 8:05. well, new this morning, police in palo alto increasing street patrols in a neighborhood that was hit by a brazen burglary. sunday night, police say a burglar broke into a house on wilkie way while the residents were sleeping. >> the thief rummaged through homes, stole several electronics and drove away. police say there was a similar burglary last july of an occupied home. there are looking for any possible links between the cases. rescue crews rushed to this scene where a pickup truck went into the oakland estuary. this is just a couple of hours

ago. a witness called 911 after seeing this white pickup truck plunge into the water about 5:00 a.m. fire crews found the truck submerged. this was near the fruitvale bridge. we're told the truck was reported stolen. search crews were quickly able to determine no one was inside the truck. there's no word on what happened to the driver. a tow truck got the truck out of the water quickly to make sure no oil or gas leaked into the estuary. school officials in hayward are on high alert after a student was diagnosed with tuberculosis. the hayward unfiled school district sent letters to parents of students at tennyson high school explaining the diagnosis. the student's name is not being made public. >> the school district says that student was not on school grounds when the diagnosis was made and will not be allowed back at school until the alameda county health department says it's safe. doctors say most people do not become infected with tuberculosis unless they have

had several contacts with a t.b. patient. the suicide death of a 15- year-old palo alto high school sophomore yesterday morning has the community reeling. city leaders, parents and concerned residents are asking what more can be done to prevent deaths on caltrain tracks. the teen's death was the eighth caltrain pedestrian death this year. that's compared to ten all of last year. high schools in the area already have suicide prevention measures in place to recognize students who may be struggling and caltrain employees guards to keep a watchful eye on the city's three major track crossings. a 33-year-old sacramento man was arrested accused of taking photos of girls inside a locker room at solano community college. sheriff's deputies say jason painter took several foe tote during a swim meet on saturday. a girl yelled for and told her mother who reportedly chased him down with the help of other

people killed near crocker amazon park. police say the two men were sitting in a parked car when two attackers apparently snuck up on them, started shooting yesterday morning. both victims were in their 20s. family members and friends rushed to the scene. witnesses are being asked to come forward to help police find the shooters. >> very popular parks, joggers or people who might have witnessed this. >> before that, dozens were out at the park. police say it's very fortunate no one else was caught in the crossfire. detectives say the gunmen ran away and are still on the loose. the motive is still under investigation. the u.s. ambassador to south korea is now out of the hospital following that knife attack last week. >> it was obviously a scary incident but i'm walking, talking, holding my baby, lugging my-- hugging my wife.

passed. california was the first state to legalize marijuana in 1996. it's not legal in 23 states. we have amazing video of an amtrak train slamming into a disabled big rig in north carolina. the cell phone footage shows the train barreling down the tracks and hitting the truck near the town of halifax. it was reported by a person in a car stopped at a stop sign next to the tracks. the train conductor and more than 50ings are -- 50 passengers are injured. police say a 27-year-old woman texting walked right into the path of a freight train, this was in florida, she was clipped and thrown into the air but she did survive. she apparently got a compound fracture to her right arm. her leg was injured. police say she was not paying attention. she was hit by the train.

morning. >> reporter: people who live around here say this neighborhood is nice but what has been happening at this particular house over the past couple of weeks frightens them. last night, authorities swooped in for the second time the bomb squad, they detained the 43- year-old woman who lives at the home. february 14th, authorities discovered cache device, chemicals to make explosives and crystal meth. she went to jail on possessing and igniting explosive devices and child endangerment because her 5-year-old daughter lives with her. >> the devices found last time during the course of the search were equivalent to half sticks, quarter sticks of dynamite. are they a threat? absolutely. if any one of the neighborhood children were to pick it up, we have a problem. >> reporter: she made bail the same day she was arrested. now investigators want to know if new explosives were obtained

again in san francisco. pam cook joins us in the studio with the new actions being taken today. >> some politicians are calling soda the new tobacco and they want sugary drink to have a waferning label. now there are three separate proposals all designed to regulate and reduce consumption of sugary drinks. scott wiener warrants warping labels on ads similar to the one on cigarette. the second proposal comes from malia cohen who wants to ban ad for soda altogether on city property. and supervisor eric mauer wants to ban the city from spending money on suge yarry drinks. we asked what you think about this. there are at least 100 probably more since i walked in here from my desk comments.
