let's get you out the door. sal will be back tomorrow. let's do that. it's starting to get very busy out there, especially in the south bay, northbound 101. a couple of accidents near the 880 as well as the central expressway. have typical spots as well as long 280, 85. typical spot on 237 in milpitas. taking a look at the eastshore freeway where drive time from the carquinez bridge is about 36 minutes. that's increasing as we speak. so be aware of that this morning. finally taking a look at 880. nimitz freeway, just a mess. if you are headed toward the oakland airport from 880 southbound, there are three accidents to tell you about. two in san leandro. one hayward. it's stacking up and getting bad along the nimitz freeway. 880 southbound. be aware of that. 7:03. back to the desk. we're following developing news in san francisco where several people including children were hurt this morning in an apartment fire. it started around 4:30 a.m.

in the mission district at a three-story building at 24th street and treat avenue. these are live pictures of the scene. you can see a fire truck with the ladder out still there on the street. five people including a mother, father, and three children have been taken to the hospital. three of them suffered life- threatening injuries. they were able to rescue two of the boys out the front window where the ladder is behind me. the young girl down the stairs, the entranceway, and they brought the mom and dad out the back way. they used three areas to evacuate and rescue the family. >> two other people also had to be rescued from the liquor store on the first floor of the building. it took firefighters about 30 minutes to get the fire under control. an arson team is at the scene to determine how the fire started. the chp says a stolen car involved in a high-speed chase this morning turned out to be full of young people.

alex savidge spoke with one very disappointed parent and alex joins us live from near the caldecott tunnel to explain how the pursuit ended. >> reporter: well, good morning to you. this car had been carjacked earlier on. the chp said they were able to figure out exactly where that car was using the gps signal from the car's satellite radio. it was initially spotted in contra costa county and officers chased that car here into oakland. it was packed with six people inside including several juveniles. here is a look at the stolen white lexus. it finally came to a stop near 98th avenue and macarthur in oakland. you can see the left front tire on the car is gone. the chp says during the chase, the driver hit a wall on the side of the freeway and lost the tire and the rim. but he just kept right on going with sparks flying. that car eventually turned into

a come comedy -- into a cul-de- sac. we watched as the adult driver, a man who we understand was wanted for carjacking that car, was taken into custody found hiding in a backyard. four other juveniles also detained there. we watched as the father of a 16-year-old girl who was one of the passengers in that car showed up at that scene to pick up his daughter. >> i'm just kind of mad about this. this is very bad and dangerous, you know, she wasn't supposed to be in nothing like this. this is a bad situation. >> how did she wind up in the car? >> i don't even have no idea. >> reporter: there is a father with a lot of questions for his daughter certainly this morning. we understand the victim of this initial carjacking was brought down to the scene this morning to identify the people involved in that crime and the car was taken by force in the city of oakland and we understand the victim was not hurt during that initial crime.

now the chp says the man who was behind the wheel during this pursuit, the man wanted for the carjacking has been arrested. all of the other juveniles inside that car are simly being detained for questioning. as you can imagine this pursuit a very dangerous one but a chp sergeant said he was very thankful and grateful no one was hurt. no one inside the car. no officers and no innocent bystanders. >> that's a got good part of the story. all lanes of northbound 280 are back open after a deadly crash near foothill sproi in los ail tote. the -- expressway in los altos. the car flipped over at 2:00 a.m. the driver died. another car hit deprefrom the first crash -- debris from the first crash. no word on the cause of the crash. but the crews say the road was wet from some rain at the time. south bay police searching for the gunman who robbed a

coffee shop, a massage parlor and a fast-food restaurant all in one night. first robbery was in san jose at the jack in the box restaurant on murrell avenue. it happened around 8:30 last ni. witnesses say the robber had a gun and then drove away after the crime. just 15 minutes later, police say the same robber hit a starbucks and the massage parlor at the park victoria shopping center in milpitas. the two police departments are jointly investigating these crimes. they are hoping surveillance video will lead them to the robber. for the past year and a half, federal agents investigated an alleged gambling ring operated out of san jose coffee shops. janine de la vega is live in san jose to tell us about a big raid that happened last night. >> reporter: good morning. the investigation was dubbed by law enforcement as "operation omni" and the golden king cafe here was one of the businesses

that was targeted. police suspect that they weren't just serving coffee here. take a look at this map that shows the 11 businesses that federal agents raided because they were allegedly being used for illegal gambling. the coffeehouses are located in east and south san jose along the 101 corridor. our camera was there when federal agents from the fbi, dea and san jose police served a search warrant at the wave coffee on tully road. they are pulling out machines and other evidence. the operation stems from a year and a half long investigation of a pattern of violence at these coffee houses. they bring in a lot of money. police are trying to put a stop to what they suspect is a territorial power struggle. authorities believe the coffeehouses are linked to drugs, prostitution and at least one homicide. we another there were people

detained. a police spokesperson is still trying to get an update if there are any arrests. at this point, it's unknown if any of these coffeehouses are gonna open up for business today. dave? >> all right, janine de la vega live. thank you. we'll talk to you later. developing news about the crash of a military helicopter. it happened in florida. human remains have now been found in the waters near eglin air force base in the florida panhandle. seven marines and four soldiers were on that helicopter. now, while a rescue mission is taking place now, all 11 military personle are presouped -- personnel are presumed to be dead. their training exercise was held during extreme fog weather and that's hindering the search effort. patients and workers at seton medical center are waiting to see if the hospital will be able to stay home. that's after prime healthcare withdrew the bid to buy seton and five other hospitals own wood i the daughters of charity

healthcare system. -- owned by the daughters of the healthcare system. >> it's hard. people are scared now. what's gonna happen? >> management has scheduled meetings today. there are reports daughters of charity could file for bankruptcy. that might keep the hospitals open but no one can say for how long. 7:11. another sign that human toll takers on bay area bridges could be a thing of the past. there is now a proposal to spend $500,000 to hire a consultant to analyze automated toll taking. it would apply to the bay bridge and six other state- owned bridges. now, the golden gate bridge switched to an all electronic system two years ago. the state board of education is expected to make a decision today on whether to

suspend the academic performance index for the current school year because of new testing method. the performance index, it's a new her cal rating -- numerical rating. many schools have asked for the index to be suspended to give students time to get used to new testing method. the california schools have replaced the old star test. they were taken with pencils and papers and replaced with computerized testing. now, the students pick from multiple choices. the new test, it requires students to use reasoning and explain what they've read as well as solved real world math problems. 7:12. what we're learning more -- we're learning more about an oakland mother who was shot trying to shield her children why gunfire. what witnesses say led up to the shootout that took her life. ♪

police say 30-year-old shimil pierce just picked up her kids from school when an argument started. there was gunfire. two teens were wounded. pierce and her children tried to escape the gunfire. >> children started to run. she was running with them. unfortunately, due to the senseless violence that was taking place up the street, she was fatally struck just feet from her front door. >> shy worked at kaiser hospital which has expressed sorrow about her death. a $20,000 reward is being offered to find the killer. a homeless man is suing the city of san francisco. he claims he was beaten by a sheriff's deputy at sf general hospital. 59-year-old fernando filed a $25,000 claim in connection with the alleged assault in november. he was in the e.r. waiting room to get pain pills ahead of a scheduled knee surgery later that day. he says he fell asleep but the

deputy woke him up, ordered him to leave, then started beating him. >> i felt some punches on my head, face somewhere. and i being choked -- and i was being choked. i couldn't brief. >> he was arrested and booked on a charge of assaulting a police officer. the man was later arrested. he's facing four felony charges, including perjury and filing a false police report. there is also a report that there may be other officers what may be involved in that -- other officers that may be involved in this. blurred lines was the biggest hit of 2013. but now a los angeles jury has decided that the lines were a little too blurred between thicke's hit song and the 1977 hit by marvin gaye.

disappointed in the ruling, saying it set as horrible precedent. thicke has yet to respond. both of them made more than $5 million on the song. really interesting hearing the two songs side by side. i was doing a little research on this. apparently, normally in the past, there's been songs that sound alike. so music insiders say there -- based on how many notes in a row was shared by the two songs, they would decide whether an earlier songwriter should get a share of the song. and they also say the big winner in this will be the lawyers. let's get your day started. middle of the week, folks. bay bridge toll plaza, solid traffic, well past the macarthur maze going on 24 starting a backup as well near rockridge and also along the eastshore freeway. traffic there from the carquinez bridge to the macarthur maze, 40 minutes and increasing. 880, this is a little bit better than what we saw about 15 minutes ago. this was solid backup, especially in the southbound direction. stemming from three accident, two in san leandro, one in hayward. the one in hayward was blocking four lanes but that's been cleared. you see a lot of the traffic moving better past there. if you are going to the oakland airport leave extra time. traffic will be very busy along the nimitz freeway, especially in the southbound direction. also very busy as we go to the maps, 80 westbound. three accidents to tell you there. one in fairfield off -- off waterman boulevard another one

off north texas street in fairfield and a new one, 80 westbound, redwood parkway. definitely busy for all of the commuters coming into contra costa county. steve has the strength of ten weathermen. >> and you are the strength of ten traffic guys, right? business. >> the committee investigating the attack on the u.s. consulate in libya say it should be up to mrs. clinton about which ones should be sent over. :27 a -- 7:27. a bipartisan group of senators introduced legislation to change federal marijuana laws. senators joined rand paul of kentucky yesterday to sponsor the bill. it would allow people in states that have legalized medical marijuana such as california to use the drug without fear of federal prosecution. >> a lot of people have tried medical marijuana and it's worked. i think people and states should have the freedom to try this particularly when there's no cure for a disease. >> the law would change marijuana status from a schedule 1 drug to a schedule 2 drug recognizing the drug as having acceptable medical uses.

currently, 23 states where medical marijuana is legal would be protected under the bill. a ucsf dental student is found dead in her home. the investigation into the city of -- into the city of albany's first homicide in years. it continues to be very busy on bay area roadways this morning. taking a look at the south bay commute, coming up, we'll take a look at trouble spots along 680 near walnut creek. we do have some rain returning, finally. it's been about a month since we've had any. it could be dicey. we'll see if there's any more this afternoon or on the extended outlook.

this devastating fire. good morning. welcome back to "mornings on 2." it's wednesday, march 11th. i'm tori campbell. >> i'm dave clark. let's talk about weather and traffic. if you haven't been outside yet, some of the roads are wet. that's causing traffic. >> san jose is getting steady rain. >> .07 down there. also around milpitas, fremont, mountain view, and also into the santa cruz mountains, still coming down steady, pretty good. it looks like they will -- they are right there on the edge of it. to the north of that, it's beginning to taper off a little bit. but to the east, it's still coming down. hey, a system made it. be thankful. light rain, fremont. right on the edge for concord, wrapping back around portolo valley and the peninsula. you can see the system beginning to move right there. the lower clouds will give way later today. for some sun but we get the rain, it's mild on the temps. 50s for almost everybody. system will give us morning rain and then decrease later

on. if you are looking for more rain, there's nothing upstream. then by tonight, tomorrow, it will be turning to more fog than anything else. we'll have to deal with that. today it will be cooler with the light rain. maybe .10 down towards san jose after everything is said and done. these are where we should be. we'll go above starting tomorrow. all right, brian, with the rain problems. and you mentioned rain through the south bay. we're starting to see that affect traffic. let's take a look in san jose at the 280/880 split, where it's solid traffic. also solid traffic on the tip cam spots. 101 northbound, in 85, 680. no reports of major accidents, which is good news, but people taking it easy out there, which is a good thing. haven't seen the rain in a while. so take it easy. highway 24 through the la fayette area, solid backup through la fayette. as you approach the caldecott into oakland this morning, i wish i could say it gets better

but it doesn't. very busy past the caldecott into oakland especially if you are going to the bay bridge. nimitz freeway, solid along southbound lanes because of three earlier accidents. two in san leandro. one in hayward, the one in hayward is cleared. but solid back up on the bridge as well pass the dumbarton bridge. let's go back to the desk. >> thank you. we're still following developing news coming in from san francisco. several people including children were hurt early this morning in an apartment fire. tara moriarty is there at the scene. you've been out there for a while and again some. injured are tara. >> reporter: that's the heartbreaking part of this story. a family of five, the mother, the father and their three children are now fighting for their lives. they came out of the yellow apartment building that you see where the ladder truck is. this is 24th street. it's blocked off between folsom and harrison in order to accommodate the fire crews. the family lives in the apartment building on 24th near street that went up in flames

around had:30 this morning -- around 4:30 this morning. crews were able to rescue two people on the lower level by cutting through a padlock. the family upstairs, they got out but they may not survive. >> we did transport five family members, three to san francisco general with life-threatening injuries. a father and two children and the mom and the other child went to st. francis with pretty serious inhalation injuries. >> reporter: chief hayes white says the two people freed took off right after they were rescued. authorities are looking for them trying to determine if they had any role in this fire. course, the cause is under investigation. back here live, you can see that it's probably going to be quite some time before fg wraps up on the -- everything wraps up on the street. 4th street between harrison and folsom shut down for most of the morning.

tara moriarty, back to you. >> thank you. a police chase in san jose last night gave people in one neighborhood quite a surprise. the pursuit ended with the suspect's car going over a curb and slamming into a tree in the king court and south king road. the incident happened around 9:20 p.m. when chp officers spotted the car weaving recklessly. the male driver ran away after crashing the car and left a passenger from behind. no word whether the male driver was caught? albany police there investigating that city's first homicide in ten years. a 37-year-old woman was found dead to death in her apartment on canes avenue on monday. the family members say the victim is randhir paul, a dental student. she was own i a year away from graduating -- only a year away from graduating. when she didn't show up for appointments on monday, the school contacted her family. one of them went inside her apartment. that's when they discovered she

had been killed. investigators have not released any more details so far about this days. the santa clara water district could raise water rates. last night the board said the drought has increased its cost while it's also decreased its income as people conserve water. the board says no decision will be made until may but it discussed a nearly 20% rate hike. that would translate to $5 more each month for residential customers in the northern part of the county and about $1.34 mor forepeople in the county. most customers were opposed but are against a big rate hike. >> i think we have an affirmative obligation to look at the totality of our program and not just say, here's some costs and we're going to directly pass them on. >> we recognize the impact on the rates. we take every rate extremely

seriously. the water district says it pays up to $170 per acre foot of water. but it just signed a contract for more water that cost $750 per acre foot. it says it could go up to $7,000 per acre foot if the drought continues. two other water districts ayeted their situation -- addressed their situation. east bay mud says they are looking at buying water. it has to determine how much to buy and what it is willing to pay. and the dublin san ramon services district plans to spend $2.2 million to buy a four-month supply of water for 20,000 people. that water would come from the yuba county water agency. 7:39. a 49ers superstarr tearfully said farewell and retired from the game he loves. patrick willis, he's only 30 years old. but he announced his retirement yesterday. he says his injured foot won't allow him to play up to his

standard. now, women list missed most of last season because of foot injuries and during his career, he won the defensive rookie of the year award. he was picked for the pro bowl seven times and named a team captain. >> there will not have been a day in moo my career -- nsh in my career that i don't feel like -- everything i had. >> willis didn't go into details on what he will be doing next. but he's expected to keep doing charitable work like working with young people in his home state of tennessee. the opener of the 49ers, jed york, says patrick willis is a winner on and off the field. >> another popular 49ers' star has left the scene. frank gore signed a - -- signed three-year deal with the colts.

the scene. you can -- the area is still cordoned off. fire trucks still there. mother and father and three children have been taken to the hospital. firefighters now say that three of them suffered life- threatening injuries while two suffered serious injuries. >> they were able to rescue two of the boys out the front window where the ladder is behind me. the young girl down the stairs, the entranceway and they brought the ma'am and dad out the back way. they used three different areas to evacuate and rescue the family. >> the two other people had to be rescued from the liquor store on the first floor of the building. it took firefighters about 30 minutes to get the fire under control. an arson team is at the scene. new, the chp says a stolen car involved in a high-speed chase turned out to be full of young people. alex savidge spoke with the parents of one teenager. alex savidge joins us live from

near the caldecott tunnel and how technology helped track down the car. >> reporter: the chp was able to track this stolen car early this morning using the gps signal that was coming from the car asatellite radio system. the car was initially spotted in contra costa county. then the pursuit made its way through oakland. that car was packed with six people inside including several juveniles. here's a look at the stolen white lexus that finally came to a stop near 90th avenue and macarthur. the chp says during the chase, the driver slammed into a wall along the freeway and lost both the tire and rim. he kept right on going. there are sparks flying. the car turned into a cul-de- sac. that's where the chase ended. all sings people jumped out and ran.

but the chp and oakland police came in, searched the area. took a total of five people into custody. one person is still on the run. one of the people taken into custody was the adult driver found hiding out in a backyard. this morning we talked with the father of a 16-year-old girl, one of the passengers, riding in that car during this dangerous pursuit, i told us he's disappointed in her. >> that hurts me. it has me real upset. that's a bad decision on her part to be in a car like that. how can you associate with people like that? you know? >> reporter: the victim of this initial carjacking was brought down to the scene early this morning to try to identify the people involved in that crime and we understand the car was taken by force somewhere in the city of oakland. the victim involved in the carjacking was not hurt. the man behind the wheel during this dangerous pursuit. that man is an adult. he was arrested earlier this

morning. the chp says all of the underaged passengers inside that stolen car during this chase had been detained at this point for questioning. >> all right. live for us near the caldecott tunnel. all lanes of northbound interstate 280 are back open after a deadly crash near foothill expressway. the chp says a car flipped over before 2:00 a.m. the driver died the at scene -- died at the scene. three lanes were shut down during the investigation. no word yet on the cause of the crash. but crews say the road was wet from some rain at the time. developing news involving a military chopper crash in the florida billion p search-and- rescue crews have found human remains in the water near eglin air force base. seven marines and four crew members were on board the blackhawk helicopter when it

investigated an alleged gambling ring operating out of coffeehouses. janine de la vega has more on a big raid that occurred last night. >> reporter: police will have a lot of evidence to sift through in the coming days. they've been concerned about the violence that's been happening around vietnamese coffee houses. this one, the golden tea calffy, it was one of the targets in last night's raid here is a map of the 11 different businesses. you can they are located in the east and south san jose, along the 101 corridor. it's unknown if any of them will be even open today. the crackdown started at 6:00 yesterday evening. the fbi, dea and san jose police worked together serving search warrants these coffeehouses. you can see from the video agents were seen pulling out machines from this business called wave calffy on tully road. it -- cafe on tully road. law enforcement noticed a pattern of violence at the cafes and noticed all of them

had gaming machines in them. approximately 100 machines were taken by police in the raid. for some more information, we go to sergeant heather randall. she's with the san jose police department. they were talking about these gaming conditions. i'm sure it brings in a lot of money. >> each machine can bring in $1,000 to $4,000 per week. some of these businesses have anywhere between five and 15 machines. we know there is a lot of competition for that money. and with that comes violence and other criminal activity as well. we know the businesses surrounding these coffee shops don't want this here. neither do the residents. see we served 11 search warrants. we took 85 to 100 gaming machines. and we are continuing our investigation to determine who is behind this activity. >> reporter: ed activity. >> reporter: and you believe this is lived to drugs and

8:35. back to the desk. >> thank you. at least three people right now fighting for their lives this morning after an apartment fire in san francisco's mission district. tara moriarty is live. you are near the fire scene and there are reports there were several dramatic rescues this morning getting people out of the burning building. >> reporter: a lot of heroics. not only on behalf the firefighters but the victims them ses, helping themselves out of the burning building. you can see that crews are doing overhaul. the battalion chief says the fire started in that room you can see there with the bay window. crews stay there was thick black smoke bill hoeing from thed withs when they arrived on the scene at 4:30 a.m. a family of four trapped inside. initially we were told the mother was inside but she was not. firefighters had to walk through fire to get to a teenaged girl and ducked under the flames to find the father in the back of the flat and

were able to escape by crawling out a back window and the chief says the teenaged brother helped save his little brother. >> took a ladder off their engine, extended it to the window. in the window was a 6-year-old boy and a teenager and the teenager, really hoe question oik, made sure when brother got out. firefighters got the boy out and then went out and got the other sibling out. >> reporter: crews immediately performed cpr omthe brother who had gone into respiratory arrest. they are all recovering at hospitals. we're not sure about their conditions. firefighters had to cut through a padlock on the bottom unit to get in. if we come back here live, you can actually see it's a store. but there are sleeping quarters in the back. two people were able to get out safely. they took off running. but the chief says they are not

under any sort of suspicion. this fire is currently under investigation. at this point we're told they could not believe it's arson -- they do not believe it's arson. if we take a look at the street, the crews have it blocked off all the way from treat which is where we are down to harrison. initially they had folsom blocked off but the buses are unking. if you live in the area, know it's just one block basically now on 24th street between treat and harrison. live from the mission district, i'm tara moriarty, back to you. >> all right. a lot of information. we'll talk to you later. 8:38. meantime in albany, the police there investigating that city's first homicide in ten years. 37-year-old woman was found shot to death in her apartment on canes avenue on monday. family members say the victim is randhir paul, a dental student at ucsf. she was only a year away from graduating. when she didn't show up for some appointments on monday,

the school contacted her family. one of them went into the apartment and made the discovery she had been killed. investigators have not given us any other details about the case. we now know about the oakland mother shot and killed trying to protect her children from gunfire. police say the 30-year-old had just picked up two of her three chirp were school. this happened -- children from school. this happened on monday. investigators say an argument between a group escalated and then there was gunfire and two teenagers were wounded. pierce and her son and daughter tried to get away. >> children immediately started running. she was running with them. unfortunately, due to the senseless violence taking place up the street, she was fatally struck just feet from her front door. >> miss pierce worked at kaiser hospital which expressed sorrow after hearing of her death.

she leaves behind a 1 why son. a $20,000 reward is beofferred to find the killer. police in the south bay searching for a gunman who robbed a coffee shop, a fast- food all in one night. the first incident at the jack in the box at 8:30 last night. the robber had a gun and then drove away from the crime scene. just 15 minutes later, police say that same robber hit a starbucks and the massage parlor at the park victoria shopping center in milpitas. now, the two police departments, they are jointly investigating these crimes, hoping surveillance video will lead them to the robber. and brand-new this morning -- >> a tanker truck on fire in dearborn, michigan. the tanker truck exploded on interstate 94. again, this is dearborn, michigan, which is just west of

detroit. it looks like there is also a car there on fire that may have collided with the truck. interstate 94, again, just west of detroit is shut down in both directions. this is a tanker truck fire that we are just getting live pictures of right now. and if we get any more information, we'll bring it to knew more jobs could be phased out by technology. pam cook is in the studio now with the change that's already started moving across the bay. >> we're talking about bridge toll takers. this they are gone from the golden gate bridge. now there's talk of eliminating the tollbooths from the bay bridge and the other sticks bay area spans. now, it's nothing that will happen any time soon. the bay area toll authority wants to first higher a consultant to study the feasibility of replacing human toll takers with an automated system. they switched to an all-

people are conserving water. no decision will be made until may but they did talk about it almost 20%, at a 20% rate hike. that could translate to $20 a month. did 1.34 for people in the southern part of the county. most curse meant don't like it. but even board members are against a big hate like. >> i think we have an affirmative obligation to look at the totality of our program and not just say, here's some governments and we're going to directly pass them on. >> we recognize the impact of the rates on the customers and the community. we take every wage extremely seriously. >> the water says said they are paying $170 per acre foot of water. but they just signed a contract for more water that costs $750 per unit. they say that could go up to $7,000 per acre foot if this

once again, new this morning, a tanker truck on fire in dearborn, michigan.

these are live pictures right now of the fire. this is just west of detroit. the tanker truck exploded on interstate 94. it looks like there was a car also that may have collided with the truck. the interstate 94 just west of detroit, mish twin is shut down in both directions at -- michigan is shut down in both directions. you can see the empty roadway. quite a bit of smoke and the fire truck trying to put the fire out. no word on what caused the tanker to explode and or what it was carrying. but as we zoom back in, you can see some more smoke there coming from a slightly different location and more fire trucks on the scene. fire crews nearby. we have to assume that the smoke is not toxic. we'll continue to follow this story and bring you more information on our website and online and if we have any more during this newscast. >> wow. all right. two university of oklahoma students accused of playing a leadership role in that fraternity's racist chant that

was videotaped, they have been expelled. the video posted online shows sigma alpha epsilon members singing racial slurs targeting african-americans. levi pettitte and parker price were identified in this video. pettitte's parents apologized for their son's actions. rice also issued an apology saying threatening calls have forced his family to leave their home. the president of rice's college prep school saw that video online and said he's apologized. >> i'm saddened by it because i think it hurts everybody. nice young man. but that doesn't excuse his behavior for what happened on the bus. >> the university of oklahoma's president, he promised a thorough investigation and washed there may be other students expelled -- warned there may be other students expelled. the school has cut by with that fraternity, the chapter has been shut down and members have been told to move out of the frat house.

we're learning that a boy and a man who appear in a new islamic state video showing the killing of a palestinian man are french citizens. the boy appears to be no older than 12. we are not showing his face since he's a minor. the man in the orange jump suit confesses to being a spy for israel. but the man's family says he joined isis later changed his mind, tried to escape and was captured. in the video, the boy shoots and kills that palestinian man. happening right now, the senate foreign relations committee is holding a hearing about president obama's request for authorization to use military force against isis. this is a live picture of the hearing. that's secretary of state john
