this after notary public. the fire department say -- afternoon. the fire department says six people were transported to the hospital. at least two lanes are now blocked which is causing a major traffic back up. we have a crew on the way to the scene. now to oakland. for the first time today the family of a young mother killed while protecting her children broke their silence. a celebration of life was held outside city hall. the woman's sister told the crowd it was tragedy that didn't have to happen. >> she said that last monday was a day that changed their lives forever. today is a celebration, not only celebrating her life, but the numerous other lives lost to violence in oakland. mouse and i can dancing are an -- music and dancing are an expression. for some it can be healing when a community is in pain.

the most recent life lost was 30-year-old chyemil pierce. the innocent victim who was trying to protect her children from gunfire in her west oakland neighborhood last monday. her sister addressed dozens publicly. >> this pain is team thing that i never expected to ever experience. what makes it even more tragic is this didn't have to happen. >> she has a message for those who are careless when they pick up weapons. >> take a moment and think about what you doing. a lot of times you put innocent lives at risk. >> organizers say today's celebration of life is not just for pierce but for the many other lives recently lost. >> we lost a 14-year-old baby on is a t block. -- the block. >> to rebuild our communities? she said there are victims on

front that will impact us tomorrow. that's all coming up in ten minutes. if you think it's warm here people in southern california saw temperatures in the 90s today. the temperatures in fact so high organizers at the marathon are now pushing up start time tomorrow morning so that runners don't have to finish that race in high heat. napa police release more details today about a suspect shot to death by an officer. they were about to serve a warrant. police say the man was on his motorcycle when he saw police and was reach fog a hand -- reaching for a handgun when the suspect opened fire. he had an intensive criminal history. a high speed collision last night left two people dead and six others injured. the crash happened just after

9:00 last night. a woman in her 20s was behind the wheel when she was killed. her passenger died at a hospital. police say the driver hit a tree and then crashed into another car. all six people in that car suffered minor injuries. police say a small amount of marijuana was found in that car. monday will mark the third anniversary of the disappearance of morgan hill's teenager sierra lamar. today was the last scheduled search for the teen. we talked with her dad who says this isn't the end of the searching. the beginning of a new chapter. >> the people here know the routine. >> and it doesn't look to look where we have been before. >> this group of 75 volunteers is searching for any sign of 15-year-old sierra lamar who disappeared on her way to school in march 2012.

>> all this time has passed, we are looking for anything. >> some of these poem have come out to look for every -- people have come out to look for every every sat for the last three years. the routine is coming to an end. >> at this point we are just -- we have exhausted search areas. >> her family announce an end to their regular searches. >> we are going into a different mod which will be on call searches. >> her family said a group of volunteers will remain on call and ready to search on a moment's notice if a tip comes in. >> should anything come out in the trial that is helpful for us in our searches then we can quickly reform. >> they arrested antolin in may 2012 on suspicion of kidnapping and murdering her. her body has never been found. they found her dna in his car.
