a young girl waushg home from high school pulled into a car. tonight the search for a child predator with kale detail about oh -- details about how this teen fought to get away. >> that girl was on her way home from hayward high school. this is the third attempted kidnaping in hayward in just about month. we talked with police and they say it is possible the same man is responsible for all three of the incidents. >> a report of yet other attempted kidnapping is becoming all too familiar here. a 16-year-old girl walking home

from school was grab bad man and forceed into the backseat -- by a man and forced into the backseat of a car. it happened on friday. >> i just don't like my kids being alone. it's very concerning. >> police release this sketch of the attacker who they say got on top of the girl and pulled out a gun. the 16-year-old fought back, escaped and ran home to her parents who called 911. >> this is an extra ordinary circumstance for any 16-year-old to face. we very proud of her for the way she reacted to this. >> neighbors stay area can be dangerous for students after school because of the traffic. they had no idea about the attack. >> it's awful to think that that happens in this neighborhood and the high school here. >> i just substitute teach sometimes there. if something like this happened, i probably tell the students just to be a little more careful. >> this is the third time in six

motorcyclist was killed and two other people were injured. they say she went to take a left and struck a motorcycle. one man was driving the bike and another was on the back as a passenger. >> the me male -- female driver made a left turn. one of the men was killed at the scene. the other one was severely injured. >> the passenger in the other car was taken to the hospital. at this point it's not clear if speed was a factor in the crash. people who live in the area say this intersection is dangerous and that accidents are common. new developments tonight from los angeles where a train conductor was critically injured and 20 others hurt when a train collided with a car and then

derailed. an investigation shows that the driver of that vehicle could be to blame. as he tells us that driver is now in grave condition. >> a scary scene in los angeles. officials say a three car metro rail train and a vehicle collided causing the train to go off the tracks. >> what we have the both the train and vehicle were travelling eastbound there. was an improper turn that occurred. the vehicle got wedged in between the pole and the train causing the train to dislodge. >> 11 rescue ambulances and six fire companies rushed to the scene. they used the jaws of life to remove the driver of the car from his vehicle. the los angeles fire department says 21 people were hurt including the train operator. >> there is always [ indiscernible ] the biggest thing is to find out what the scope was. they focussed on it on the most important issues. >> they say this is typically a

busy train. this average speed on this stretch is 35 miles per hour. michael thomas says there's bn been problems in that area before. >> we have had some incidents whenever you have a run that runs in intersections you can about pate sometimes accidents occurring. >> officials also dealing with a traffic in the area due to a sold out soccer match. they had to bring in buses to help bridge the gap as the investigation continues. back to you. investigators are looking to the deaths of two men in violent incidents outside two different bay area night clubs. in union city two men have been arrested in the connection of a shooting death of 33-year-old man outside of bar. the shooting happened just after midnight. police have not released the name of the victim or those two

men arrested. in san jose police say a man was critically injured during a an altercation near north there. he died around 5:00 this morning. police have not released any suspect information in that case. a boston police officer remains in critical condition tonight after he was shot in the face. authorities say two officers had just pulled over a vehicle when officer john approached the door and a suspect pulled out a gun and shot him. officers returned fire killing the gunman. office t officer is in a medically induced a coma tonight. they say he will survive. he also commented there are too many guns in his city. >> none of our officers like to use their firearms. it's probably the worst thing we have to do in our profession.

the oakland a's first ever pride night has led to a ticket buy back effort. one woman working to make sure the stands are packed for this upcoming game. we talked with her about her effort. >> well as we know, the internet can be an ugly place. one member of the a's family is doing something about it because to her pride night is all about family. >> in this oakland athletics promotional video she teaches coaches social media. the a's embrace new ways to reach fans. for the first time they are embraceing the lgbt community with a pride night.

so far she purchased five tickets. a man was shot and killed just before 8:00 tonight in san francisco visitation valley neighborhood. officers found the man with multiple gunshot wounds. they took him to san francisco general where he died. right now police say they have not made any arrests. animal right activists staged a rather unique demonstration today to show the condition of egg laying hens. they brought a large metal diej oakland's lake -- capable to oak land's lake. they offered people to stand or sit in the cage to get an idea of the crowded conditions. >> they are here today to up courage folks to brave the cage and see who life is like for 95 percent of hens on egg farms. >> a bill was passed in 2008

requiring egg laying hens here in california only be confined in ways that allow them to lie down, stand up, fully extend their limbs and turn around safely. state regulations provide about 116 square inches per hen. that is about the size of a sheet of legal paper. an east bay man was sentenced to 16 years to life in prison for killing his girlfriend with a machete. a judge sentenced him for the 2012 killing of her inside of his home. on the witness stand he testified that he remembered having the 2 and a half foot machete and raising it above his head as he approached her but he says the rest is a blur. amazon is taking their prime membership to a whole new level. a few facilities in texas is trying out a quicker home delivery that will be called prime now.
