and spending a lot of money. >> david stevenson in san francisco, thank you. tonight 2 investigates uncovers more problems at a hotel with a history of complaints. ktvu exposed unsafe condition at the towers in oakland in january. eric rasmussen is here now with a new video that is raising new concerns. >> reporter: we are talking about broken doors, windows and pluming. they have been under fire since the previous owner tried to have the place burned down four years ago. in february lawyers representing the people who live that hotel shot this cell phone video highlighting what they call horrific conditions. all of this was after 2 investigates exposed a number of problems there when we went undercover and booked a room in january. tenants say management has made some repairs since then but the city of oakland hasn't done

is backing away from a threat. police believe the kidnapping of denise huskins was a hoax. they received an e-mail threatening offenses and demanding officers apologize for not believing the kidnapping was real. denise huskins' boyfriend said they took her on march 23 and demanded $8,500, two days later she turned up in southern california unharmed. police say it appears andrew getty diedf natural causes -- died of natural causes. he was found dead in his home yesterday. his father is gordon getty. there is no sign of trauma or foul play. the coroner says he hadn't been feeling well and it says medications with out fund in his home -- were found in his

home. man suffered a heart attack in a home fire. the fire started at 4:00 a.m. this morning. investigators say it appears the fire started in the kitchen but rescue crews say the man was found in a bedroom suffering from a heart attack. they performed cpr but he died at the hospital. a neighbor says her family woke up to the smell of smoke -- to the smell of smoke. >> smelled the smoke and called the fire department. and they said they would come by to check it out. they started running inside. there was smoke coming out of the chimney. they knew something was wrong. >> so far the name of the victim hasn't been released. neighbors say he is a man in his 70 whose lived there and had been -- 70s who lived there and had been a resident for years. officially in the hands of google. they signed a 60 year lease

san francisco police are hoping surveillance video will help them find a man who attacked a taxi driver with a padlock yesterday morning. this is video. it shows a man pulls out an object and starts beating the driver as he tries to pull over. the driver was checked out by paramedics and released. because of comments made by the suspect it is believes he lives within 10 blocks. police are investigating a shoot out. investigators heard an exchange and saw the exchange between two moving cars about 10:30 a.m. this morning. police were talking to two people but it is unknown if they are connected to the shooting. police say a murder-suicide last month took place because the gunman shot the other man was stealing from him. he shot and killed the manager

on march 19 at the apartments. he then shot himself. he had accused him of going into his apartment and taking things. but other residents thought he misplaced the items and police found no evidence that anything was taken. the deadline has come and gone but negotiations are extended to tomorrow. the u.s. agreed with five other nations and they are working on a agreement to limit iran's nuclear capability and reduce sanctions. some issues need to be revolved. they made progress but they don't have a political understanding just yet. >> reporter: mcdonalds will begin paying employees a more than the minimum wage. it takes place july 1. and applies to company owned location. next year the company expect said them to earn more than $10
