happy easter. we wanted to give you a quick look outside. there are clouds out there and their are storms headed our way. we'll learn more about that in just a few minutes. >> you see that camera closing in on the bay ridge. there are high wind advisories for five bridges. we are not just expecting rains but also winds. >> also, tahoe the resorts are expecting some snow. it looks like they got a dusting already. >> let's turn to rose marry. you said blue canyon is getting snow. >>reporter: yeah that's down to 5,000 feet. if you head up the hill you will need your chains. that will last until the evening hours. giving you a look outside our doors were we are off to a calm

start. we have a bit of rain showing up in some spots. santa rosa has a bit of clouds. we'll get in closer here. we have a few scattered showers around. santa rosa has some. a few scattered showers reported over the mountains. as we get into the second part of the morning it will be more widespread. here we are at 7:00 a.m. we are now at 8:00 a.m. it's still moving along the coastline. by 10:00 or so it's shifting right across i-80 and into portions of the east bay. san jose is picking up a few

been beautiful so far. dozens have made the hike to be here. they brought their coats and jackets to be safe. i'll step out of the way to show you how beautiful it is this morning. the today marks the 93rd year the service has been held here. every year many leaders gather here. we have the san francisco fire chief that makes the annual appearance. what you are looking at now is the start of the service and local clergy will be prosiding at -- present at the nondenominational service. we do see rain in the distance.

we have a few bits of moisture being seen off the coastline. as we get into parts of the north bay santa rosa reporting showers today. today round one. partly to mostly cloudy skies and a few light showers. round two will come as we get into monday night and tuesday. that will be the stronger. as we get into your sunday temperatures will come down. it will be a cool one out there. rain showers to start the day. by 3:00 it begins to pullout. we have partly cloudy skies for the second part of the afternoon. as we get to monday night into tuesday when it center of the storm moves closer to the bay area we'll get the possibility of thunderstorms. we are talking a half-inch to

an inch of rain with this. the sierra will pick up some snow. this in addition to showing us accumulation will help us have a bit of a timeline of what the models are picking up on. at 7:00 a.m. the rain line to the north of us. notice it shifts. all the way down to the golden gate bridge along i-830. we can expect sprinkles and drizzles in most places. this is were we'll see it. by 10:00 it shifts to san francisco and oakland. into the afternoon we'll have a few scattered showers before it moves out. you don't see a whole lot. a few 100s in san francisco. we are likely to get more then this is some areas.
