ktvu is live with more on the reports finding. >> reporter: good afternoon san francisco airport has more than three dozens security breaches since 2004. it is reporting all the breaches regardless of the intention of the person who came onto property. now, the associated press conducted an investigation into airport perimeter security breaches that does not take into account people who somehow snuck the past tsa at the gate. this is people jumping over fences and crashing through gates. san francisco had 37 incidents since 2004. as you mention, the most of any airports reported numbers to the ap. >> this is a big deal for us. perimeter security is very important to our airport. we take this obligation very seriously. we are very focused on learning on every single

along the san francisco bay. many incidents involved homeless people and what the airport classified as mentally challenged people or people who were on drugs. a good number of the airport's breaches were accidental. san francisco reported all of their incidents. some airports like logan and boston did not report citing security concerns. torrey, let's go back to you. students have been sent home after a telephone bomb threat in milpitas. police got a message on an answering machine about a bomb on campus at 8:00 this morning. smith is live at the school to let us know what is happening there right now. >> reporter: good afternoon. right behind me is the command post. a portion is blocked off in

front of the milpitas high school. dogs are sniffing every building on campus. we shot videos of those dogs. he tells me around 8:00 this morning a school's secretary received a voice message on the line saying there is a bomb on campus. police tracked down the caller to a pay phone and no word yet on who that person is. s officials immediately alerted police and evacuated stu this morning. at 10:00 this morning school officials decided to send students home after realizing it will take hours to search the campus. >> it is unfortunate that we lose a day of instruction. kids need to be in class preparing for ap tests and end of the year exams. and we are in our smarter balance test window. it is bad that we lose a day of instruction but safety comes first.

have passed fossil fuels. there was outraged last month after this video surfaced showing a berkeley ambassador beating a homeless man. the two had a confrontation earlier in the day. it was operated outside the company from the city sto provide safety patrols and street cleaning. one city commission calls for the program to be cancelled is now calling on the city council to help the homeless find a place to live. >> a follow up on a breaking news story we first told you about yesterday here on the noon news. sunnyvale police are now examining surveillance video following a deadly officer shooting. police responded of a robbery at 11 a.m. yesterday at at liquor store. an officer arrived to find the suspect in a black alley holding a knife. the man refused to put the knife down and when he started to approach, the opened fire.

officer opened fire. >> the guy just standing there and we heard the officer screaming at him and he would not listen and that's when they shot him >> the suspect was a white male. he was taken to the hospital and preannounced dead. near by surveillance video has been confiscated as part of the investigation. two people are under arrest after a search in hayward forced a shelter in place at a hotel. this was shot at 9:30 last night at the express hotel on west a street. two robbery suspects a man and a woman who was chase inside the hotel marking lot. they were found by police and canine unit and arrested. police have not said where the robbery takes place. officials are gathering

samples from a creek spilled of environmental hazard. work crews are filling up the pipes. someone left the valve open which led to the spill. one of the contractors was just working above mountain view cemetery when they accidentally pumped 122 cubic yard of the goop into the creek. unt >> any of the wildlife underneath would have died. our biologists was here on-site and it was mostly insects that were here. this is a dryer creek with the drought that we have been having. >> the creek drained is the main creek entering. the clean up should take up to three days. an investigation has been launched.

san francisco fire in suspecters are takeing close look at safety code violations after several unrelated fires in the mission district. the latest was on bartley street. on january a man was killed in a fire on mission street. tenants say escaped routes were blocked and they did not hear fire alarms. every building is expected at least once every three year. the department is also allowing on tenants to exposed code violation. >> for people in the city who do not have a lot of money, do you think they'll complain about fire code violations. >> there is been 240 fire code violations in the mission district during the last 10 years. violations ranged from burn out exit lights to unusable fire exits. the city says that number is

police in south carolina are expected to release dashcam videos today of the unarmed man shot by a police officer. slager shot walter scott in the back eight times. >> dashcams are expected to be res leased today. officer michael slager was charged on tuesday following the release of a cell phone video. it shows him shooting the man in

the back eight times. the dashcam video shed more lights on the moment leading up to the shooting. >> there is the car and the video. >> slager claimed he fired in self defense after the victim ran. the 50-year-old did not have a taser when he ran away and it was slager who puts it near his body. >> he runs back before he checks in the body and picks up the taser and he walks over to the body and tosses on the ground. >> protesters rallying across the city on wednesday saying the killing of unarmed black man by police must stop. >> we have to change this. i don't want to close my eyes and see another person die for nothing. >> the shooting is also getting the attention of the obama administration. the white house saying this case clearly supports the need for law enforcement body cameras. >> body cameras warn by police

officers could have a positive impact between trusts between law enforcement and the community they serve. >> the mayor agrees in north charleston. going forward every police will wear body cameras. fox news. robert durst pleaded not guilty today to weapon charges. he entered the plea in a new orleans courtroom. this case is important because it keeps him from being extradited from louisiana to los angeles where he's charged of a murder of a friend in 2000. their case is easier to prove and due to his age, he turns 72 on sunday. they want to make sure he's locked up. durst recently appeared on an hbo document which he mumbled that he's responsible for several murders. a state commission has implemented new regulations to help california

save water. the state energy commission unanimously approved higher water efficiency standards for new faucet toilets and ounls rurinals. it also sets a maximum flow for toilets. it made 25% water reduction mandatory. the commission says the new efficiency standard will save more than 10 billion gallons of water in the first year. the city of antioch wants to increase water and sewer rates to cover the rising cost to provide businesses and residents with running water and flushing toilets. notices went out this week about the proposed increases.

not the case. basically heading towards baja. it is going to miss the entire state with no threat of rain out there. today is just a few high clouds with 60s and 70s. a bit of a warming trend into saturday and friday. temperatures trending up beginning today but r kicking in on friday and into the weekend. forecast model, basically not much in the way of cloud cover. some patchy fog for friday and we'll take it into saturday of a few high clouds approaching the north bay. you can see the shower chances are way up here up along the north coast and eureka. today, a lot of 60s and the warmest location will be at a lower 70s. brettwood will go to 70s and san francisco at 64 degrees and pacifica at 60. san mateo is at 64 and santa cruz at 65 degrees.

stocks are higher. energy stock rose. right now the dow is up 57 and the nasdaq is up to 20 and the s&p is up 8. applications remained low. it rose by $14, 000. the number of people getting unemployment benefits fell to 2. 3.greens anouned today they're planning to close their chains. the company is still finalizing the list of stores that'll shut down. so there is no word on any bay area's stores will be affected.
