14-year-old austin. coming up on his 15th br day but doctors told austin's parents when he was born that he wouldn't see his 1st birthday. austin was born with golden har syndrome a rare genetic disease that causes facial and cranial abnormalities help was born deaf missing an ear and required many surgeries, 52 in all, to be exact. as you can imagine, something like that that many surgeries create a financial problem for austin's family. so a friend of austin's said you should make a video, you should reach out to people online. he was nervous about doing that because he's been bullied, made fun of most of his life but said this was a brave step for him. he's scheduled to have his 53rd surgery in june of this year. >> he wants to help his mom pay for the surgery. his mom has done so much for him and he owes her this. he just wants to help.
