an uber driver in jail. >> he lookedded pretty bad. eyes closed. he looked like he was in pain. >> good evening. >> that crash happened this afternoon in san francisco. debora villalon live at that intersection after talking to several witnesses, deb. >> reporter: heather, witnesses heard shouting just past this intersection a driver and a bicyclist getting into it out there. words that escalated into violence. >> i just heard people yelling. >> reporter: store clerks heard the commotion and came outside to find a bicyclists on the ground. >> i saw him being put on to the stretcher then they wheeled him away. he didn't look too great. he looked like his eyes were starting to close. >> reporter: that man was hit intentionally by an uber driver police say. >> people are -- need to get along with one another on the road. >> reporter: road rage conflict that erupted as the car and

bike were going in the same direction. >> the cyclists from witness accounts was banging on the uber driver's window. hitting his mirror. we heard that he had lost consciousness and was awake after we arrived. >> i was wondering if the man was going to make it or not. >> reporter: another clerk heard the commotion and came out. the uber driver stayed put and was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, his car. >> i saw he was breathing, kind of like breathing heavy. but, yeah he looked like he was just out of it. >> reporter: witnesses say even with the dedicated lane, there's such heavy traffic here

tourists, taxis, buses and bicyclists. >> i've seen people hit cars, i've seen drivers get out and threaten and fight and whatever. it happens all the time down here, it sucks. >> reporter: the driver jailed for what happened here this afternoon is a 38-year-old daly city man named emerson nicalbaho. uber is looking into his employment with the company. the san francisco police has a handful of witnesses heather, they are certainly welcoming more. people who may have seen this but didn't stick around. >> more people that could help them put together the pieces of the puzzle, thank you. a teenage girl died after being hit by a taxi. it happened around 10:00 last night. the girl is identified as 17-

year-old sienna canabe. it appears the girl ran in front of the taxi. the driver stopped and is cooperating with police. no word if any charges will be filed in the case. a search off the marin county search failed to turn up any signs of the two people who went missing since a boating accident. two other people died in that accident. diane kelly and 69-year-old richard heartbree. their bodies were recovered yesterday near the debris from that wrecked boat. the four member crew set up on a fishing trip from bodega bay. the latest on a pg & e line. a pg & e official showed several poles marking gas lines. pg & e says it was never informed that heavy equipment

and saturday. the fire started yesterday evening in river side county. evacuation orders were lifted earlier today for 200 homes threatened by flames. under brushing are fueling the fire. >> our crews have to hike in it's very difficult. like you said the terrain you can't access it. you can't drive right to the fire lane like we're used to. a lot of hiking in. we're using a lot of bulldozers to put a containment line around this. >> reporter: an unattended cooking fire started the fire. the investigation continues into a plane crash that in shasta that killed the pilot. it happened at around 8:30 this morning. sheriff officials say it appears only one person was on board that cessna 206.

an faa spokesman says it's believed the plane took off from the redding area but there's no word on its destination on thed identity -- on the identity of that pilot. this year marks 100 years since turks killed 1.5 million armenians. armenians in the area marked the day with a march. they had a message for president obama and other countries. >> a somber service atop mount davidson marked 100 years since the armenian genocide. >> the names of survivors named by students of the armenian school. >> our kids need to know what happened 100 years ago. they're willing to learn, they're willing to fight for it and today they're here

lethal injection. his accomplice terry nicoles is serving life in prison. it's been two years since the boston marathon bombing and tomorrow thousands of runners will take back the finish line for a second year in a row. 30,000 people are gearing up for tomorrow's big run. security is very tight after the 2013 bombing that killed three people and injured 260 others there at the finish line. there are 100 surveillance cameras, a team of uniformed and undercover officers and for the first time, antidrone technology to detect threats from the air. the man convicted in the bombing dzhokhar tsarnaev is set to return to court tuesday for the penalty phase of his trial. the same jury that found the 21- year-old guilty will now decide whether he should spend life in prison or the death penalty. very few people have been executed on federal charges and with anti death penalty sentiment in massachusetts it's

islamic state militants have released another harsh video showing what is thought to be the beheading of another group of christians. the victims are believed to be ethiopian migrants hoping to reach europe who were kidnapped in europe. the ethiopian government says it's working to verify the authenticity of the video. now the ordinance is modeled after one in chicago. if berkeley officials approve the measure it would be among the nation's strictest tobacco

buffer zone. a run was for a good cause, it's called the save mount diablo trails. >> reporter: sunrise, the scenery may have scened calm but just down the trail, hundreds of people anxiously awaited. >> bring extra water. it's exposed. it's hot. >> reporter: they started the day's biggest challenge. 200 people started a 5k or 31- mile run over mount diablo's two peaks and back. not as daunting as a 50k but most of it is still uphill. this isn't called the save mount diablo's challenge for nothing. >> there's a couple of trails i'm worried about. it'll be interested to see how we walk them or run them. >> reporter: behind the trails challenge has a challenge of its own.

state water regulators detailing mandatory water cut backs. san francisco residents will have to cut water consumption by 8%. east bay customers by 18% and san jose by 20%. the community of hieldsburg will have to reduce their use by 36%. ktvu's noelle walker checked in with the two communities with the highest and lowest mandatory water cuts. >> we have to water every day. >> they are naturally drought tolerant. they're used to our summers where we get no rain at all. >> reporter: but nothing is drought tolerant until it's out of a container and in someone's yard. >> yeah you have to get them into the ground and you don't have to water at all if

60s. but inland of course a completely different story. take a look at the numbers from this afternoon. only in the upper 50s out toward pacifica and san francisco. temperatures inland lots of low 80s from inland. the low clouds rushing back into the bay. here's our live camera looking out toward the bay bridge where we have mostly cloudy skies over the bay area right now. the satellite perspective kind of interesting track here. notice the clouds with the showers and thunderstorms over the sierra and the clouds shield approaching parts of the bay area as well. especially up in parts of the north bay. we have the dense fog at the coast and the higher clouds pushing into parts of the bay area. current numbers right now we'll take a look at those for the 10:00 hour. san jose 55 and san francisco 53 degrees. a shallow marine layer over the last few days but that changed beginning today and beginning tonight we have a marine layer

deepening. this will cool off the area. areas of fog i think we will have drizzle out there first thing tomorrow morning and especially near the cost. the lows will be in the 40s and into 50 degrees. the clouds out toward half-moon bay. san francisco, oakland, everyone some patchy overcast well inland and lots of overcast for santa rosa. clouds gradually push in overnight. and still patchy clouds into the afternoon hours. the clouds into the shoreline. there's the temperature range and the winds do pick up close to 20 miles per hour. we'll see what happens into wednesday and thursday. this is a low pressure that moves in from the north. this will cool us off even more and also bring in the chance of a few showers here.

very isolated and a slight chance of a thunderstorm that will be for wednesday into thursday. but thunderstorms really developing out toward the sierra. that was the case today. in fact, here's our forecast model as you can see into tuesday. more showers developing out toward lake tahoe. a look at this moisture approaching the bay area into thursday. not much in the way of shower coverage but enough lift off later in the day wednesday we could have a few pop up showers. something we will keep an eye on for wednesday and into thursday. temperatures for tomorrow. warmest locations, mainly the upper 70s to right around 80 degrees. oakland with a 68. cameron 67. san jose 70. sunny vale 69 and san francisco 61 degrees. definitely want to bundle up before heading out to the coastline. we're going to have drizzle first thing tomorrow morning and tuesday morning. chance of a pop up shower. don't change any plans but something to keep an eye on for wednesday and thursday. then into the weekend possibly more cloud cover into sunday.

the oakland a's 2014 season ended quite dramatically the in a wild card loss in kansas city. no shortage of drama in kansas city and the a's returned there this weekend. things got going right away in the 1st inning. cashmere hits cain. the umps warn both benches. and the a's got a run in the third and added one more here in the fifth against danny. 2-1 oakland and the a's with herrera pitching for the royals. things erupt again. herr era is tossed and so is acting manager wakamosku. thrown out for a total of five royals in all. kansas city did a nice job of playing shorthanded. then morales hits this shot
