strong delta breeze which is onshore, which means it's out of the west-southwest. thunderstorms popping up out of the sierra. they collapse at night due to the lack of lift or heat. they will be back. some of those might play into our forecast, wednesday, thursday. right now, today and tomorrow, it's a lot of fog and drizzle. san francisco, much of the coast and the bay, upper 50s, low 60s. a lot of low clouds around and you see the thunderstorm activity right over the sierra. that really will pop up again later today. if you are up there, keep an eye on the sky. 50s on the temps. but this is the key. the delta breeze had gusts to 31 at travis. cordelia, a rather onshore breeze as well. a lot of toking to go around -- a lot of fog to go around. windy, san pablo bay, carquinez strait, the delta, san mateo, sfo later. not so much right now. 70s or many. 50s and 60s by the water.

sal, i think we've had a couple of issues. still dealing with that. >> we sill have slow traffic that was brought on by earlier problems that have cleared. we're go. start off with a -- we're gonna start off with a look at the toll plaza from the carquinez to the macarthur maze, 30 minutes to get to the span. we've been talking about the 580 commute. it was slowed down by an accident on the dublin grade. 580 is slow through dim and dublin. 680 is very slow out of pleasanton. we're looking at 680 from concord to walnut creek. it's backed up from 242 all the way down to walnut creek and then a little bit of slowing into alamo. we look at the nimitz freeway, between 238, if you are driving down to fremont, there are empty spots but still slow traffic in hayward and after you pass highway 84. the east bay is not looking any lighter than usual. it looks like a normal day.

as we get to the south bay, 280 northbound and southbound in downtown san jose is off to a good start. 280 is better. back to the desk. >> all right. we we're following breaking news where the chp is looking for a young boy stolen from a home. this is 8-year-old brock guzman. they say brock was inside the car while it was warming up in the driveway when someone drove in and drove off. it happened at 5:00 a.m. on meadowlark drive. the car did a silver 2001 toyota -- is a silver toyota, 2001. the license plate is on the scene. we've put this information on our ktvu website and our facebook pages. if you are in contra costa, solano and napa counties, be on

the lookout for that car and this little boy. no word on who may have stolen this car. we do have a reporter on the way to that scene. makes sure you stay right here with us at ktvu and, of course, ktvu.com for continuing coverage on this breaking news. we're also posting updates for you on twitter on facebook and are new mobile app. oakland police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who killed a husband and father of three during a weekend crash. alex savidge joins us from berkeley where the victim was a radio host and we understand you knew him personally. such a rough morning. >> reporter: yeah, really a difficult morning, pam, for everyone. this is where he worked in berkeley. he had just finished up his shift early on saturday morning. he was driving home from work when he was struck and killed in that crash and obviously devastating for a lot of people who knew him including myself.

i've known wesley for 20 years. i want to bring in his close friend chris riggins joining me now live this morning. obviously, you are still coming to terms with what happened. >> yes. >> reporter: where are you right now emotionally? all over the place. i'm angry. i'm sad. in disbelief. i'm -- i don't want it to to be true -- it to be true. i want to wake up from this dream and say oh, that was a dream. and hug him. >> reporter: you were sending him text messages hoping you would hear back. >> i would send him mean text messages just because he was my friend and got a response. >> reporter: wesley was a husband, a father of three children and was the

breadwinner for his family. and a very tremendous loss for them. i can only imagine the pain they are going through. how do you want him to be remembered? >> reporter: i want wesley to be remembered as a strong, very loving man. he loved his friends and his family so much that at times, it just felt like we didn't deserve it. i want him to be remembered as a hard-working guy that would go out of his way to help people, even strangers. wesley would put together computers for strangers when they just needed to get on the internet to look for a job. wesley would, you know, see something broken in my house. all right. i'm gonna go home and get my tools and i'll be back. it would be something i was putting off but he would just

fix it. that's the kind of guy he was. >> reporter: generous. >> generous. >> reporter: this crash was early saturday morning. it was the driver of a dodge charger, a person speeding, slammed into his car and left the scene. i want you to -- you to maybe offer whatever message you can to the person who left the scene. what would you say to the person? >> turn yourself in. it's done. you've already created so much turmoil and pain in this community, that it's just like, why do it more by not turning yourself in and leaving the question with why? i just want to know. were you on your way to the hospital to save your life or were you just being a jerk? we just don't know. we want you to turn yourself in so we can have closure and know. >> reporter: all right.

that's one of wesley's close friends. there's been a gofundme account that's been set up to help wesley's family during this time. that has already raised about $13,000 thus far and obviously oakland police working right now to try to find the driver of that dodge charger who was involved in this hit-and-run crash. >> hopefully, they will get more information. thank you for that. 7:09 is the time. a cyclist in the hospital. an uber driver in jail. that's after an alleged case of road rage at fisherman's wharf. it happened yesterday afternoon about 1:00 p.m. at north point and taylor streets. the unidentified cyclist suffered a punctured lung and broken collarbone after witnesses say the driver reportedly hit him with his car. the driver emmerson of daly city, he was charged and arrested, charged with assault

and a deadly weapon. witnesses say they argued and shouted at each other. police are not sure why the conflict started but say the antagonism was mutual. >> was banging on the uber cab's window. >> mrs. say after -- police say after the the wheel was wheat. wheel-- wheel was hit after that. a just of released report says while we're focused on how dry the weather is, we should be planning for a superstorm here in the bay area. ktvu fox 2's janine de la vega is live in palo alto which is one of the areas, according to this new report, will be among the hardest hit that's called a

150-year storm. good morning, janine. >> reporter: it seems unlikely because we're in the drought. we're surrounded by marshlands. you can see how close we are to the bay. there's the dumbarton bridge in the background. this new report says with california's weather being so vol volatile, it's at risk. they say because of extreme climate change, the bay area could be in for a powerful 150- year storm. experts say sea levels could rise which would have a dramatic impact on the region. a map shows the threatened arias in red which includes, homes, school, power stations, hospitals and airport. 80% of the flooding damage would occur in marin, san mateo and santa clara counties. people we spoke to say the

heavy rainfall of rain show us we're not as prepared as we could be. >> a bunch of streets are shut down. couldn't get around to work. it was like a weekday or a wednesday. i forget exactly. it just caused a ton of problems. basically showing that if that did happen, we wouldn't be able to handle something like that. >> reporter: the council says the levees, sea walls are old and in need of repair. while some efforts are underway this study found that not enough is being done and that effort needs to be bolstered. dave? >> janine de la vega, very interesting. thank you. we'll talk to you later. today, the warriors are looking to take a-0 series lead

customers after overwhelming demand for a new product launch that caused a social media backlash. they launched lilly pulitzer clothing, available only by supplies last. demand was so big, shoppers lined up before the stores were open. the racks were quickly empty. many turned on social media to complain about the lack of stock. online shoppers also complained that target.com was not working. however, a spokesperson for target says the website was deliberately slowed down just to maintain the traffic slow. now, target says it won't be replenishing the merchandise but target is apologizing to any disappointed customers. 7:14. we do continue to follow the breaking news out of fairfield, an amber alert, the desperate search to find an 8-year-old boy sitting in a car that was then stolen from his home's

driveway. it happened again. somebody tried to jump over the white house fence. what we've learned about an arrest made last night after someone carrying a package climbed over the fence. good morning. we're looking at the south bay commute and we can see the traffic is going to be a little bit busy getting up to the west valley on 80. we'll tell you what's happening here. a lot of clouds. a big bog fankg. breezy and cooler -- big fog bank. breezy and cooler.

7:18. sal has a statement about your morning commute. everybody behaving so far. >> yeah, right now -- you know, things are better than they were a few minutes ago, dave. but we've had a couple of crashes that have slowed things down even though they've been cleared by chp. we're looking at 880 right here. i would say this is good if you are driving, let's say, from san leandro to downtown oakland. it does look good. now, going the other way, someone would say what about

the nimitz going the other way? well, it will be a little bit slow from about 238 and it gets better in union city, part of fremont, but it slows again, southbound 880 as you get down to milpitas. that's because of an earlier crash southbound 880 at mission boulevard which was there. they've moved it off to the shoulder. but traffic is slow in the area. let's go to 237 because when you get there, there a little built of slowing westbound. but that's about all. it looks pretty good getting into the south bay. so far the south bay commute has been without any major incidents. let's go to steve in the weather center. we have a rather extensive fog bank. not all locations have cloudy skies but all of the reports stations do. this is making a pretty good surge inland. here's your average temperatures right here.

out of nowhere, the salt wt aquarium explodes -- satellite water aquarium explodes. the owner said more than 100 gallons of water came gushing out along with the seven fish inside. four were saved. the restaurant has jokingly posted online that the break may have been a failed escape by the fish named nemo. they are looking for a home for the fish that survived since the restaurant says they can't afford to replace the almost $,000 aware number -- $10,000 aquarium. many people, including governor brown stopped in capp's corner last night saying a final farewell to this restaurant here. the restaurant has vintage photos of famous photos, the clock that stopped when the

p÷'p good morning. we are following breaking news this morning out of fairfield. an amber alert has been issued for an 8-year-old boy sitting in the back of a car when it was stolen from this home's driveway. this happened early this morning. ktvu fox 2's tara moriarty is up there now and she's gonna have the very latest on the desperate search underway as police are going door to door asking for surveillance video. we have more information about the car coming up. but they definitely need your help. i'm pam cook in for tori campbell today. >> i'm dave clark. i went outside to check for steve. >> you snuck out. >> it's gray and gloomy outside the door. this superstorm happened in 1861, 1862. there was a guy who was here.

he has a book out. you can get it, amazon, google books. he kept a journal the whole time. he was with a guy named whitney, as in mount whitney. he was here from 1860, 1864. and in 1861, 1862 almost every journal comment was it's raining again. the name of the book "up and down california." fascinating read. if you get a chance, kept a really good journal. it was pouring. that was the last superstorm they were talking about. he said when he sailed in san francisco bay, he said it was the prettiest place on the planet and he had been all over. you can't put the book down. i'll be honest with you. a lot of low clouds, donor fog -- deeper fog bank. there will be some 70s inland.

all right, sal. take it away. we're looking at a commute where it's slow. someone in the newsroom here always asked me for their personal traffic report at the bay bridge. i told them and i will tell you that if you are approaching the bay bridge, the best way to approach is not from 880 but from 580, 880 has the narrow lane where you have to squeeze in with the other cars. 580 is slightly better. it's about a 20-minute delay getting through the area. i want to show you some of the slow traffic. we had an accident 880 at mission. if you are driving from, let's say, san leandro all the way to fremont, this commute suddenly has not been all that good. 680 is going to be slow as well out of dublin and then 580 is very slow all through the altamont pass and into the dublin canyon. it's been superslow and that's due to earlier problems. one last thing we want to talk about, san jose, see some slow traffic as you approach the

mckee road turnoff and continues that way into sunnyvale. let's go back to the desk. we want to get back to the breaking news out of fairfield where the chp has issued and amber alert this morning for an 8-year-old boy last seen sleeping in his parents' car parked in the driveway. tara moriarty joins us now from the spot where the car was taken. tara? >> reporter: yeah, you know, now at this point brock guzman has been missing for about three hours. there are list all over the neighborhood. they are canvassing. going door to door. they are knocking and seeing if anybody has surveillance video. we understand that brock was inside of a car being warmed up in this driveway of his home here on meadowlark drive when someone stole it. the child inside. this is a picture of 8-year-old brock guzman. he's described as white, blond hair, blue eyes, 5'1", 110

pounds. he was wearing a gray shirt, blue pants and possibly a rope. he was sleeping in a silver toyota corolla, abwfo 72. if you see the car, call 911. police say this abduction was probably random. >> sounds like the vehicle was left running. it was probably more opportunity. the suspect came by, saw the vehicle running, hopped in. probably didn't know brock was asleep in the back. >> reporter: typically in cases like these, police say people will dump the car and the child will be unharmed here. hopefully that's the case here. we understand the reason why brock was asleep in the car, he has other siblings and there was a little bit of a commute for the other kids to school and that's why brock was with them. all of the family is down at the police station. there is helicopters circling

shutting off access. this year the police say they are keeping street closures to a minimum but they will be on the lookout for unruly behavior and underaged pot smokers. the annual 4/20 celebration at golden gate park is expected to create a traffic mess. police plan to limit westbound traffic through keezer drive between 3:00 and:00. that street connects fell with lincoln way. it's the main that you -- main thoroughfare in the area. muni will be also helping to relieve some of the congested. president obama is talking about decriminalizing decriminalizing-- medical marijuana. he says we should follow science as opposed to ideology. a bill was introduced in the

senate last month to reduce the federal government's ability to crackdown on medical marijuana programs that were made legal by states. the san francisco reports that the city is set to vote on an ordinance that would prohibit the sale of tobacco products within 1,000 feet of a school or public park. the ordinance is modeled after one in chicago. the high school student who was hit and killed by a taxi in san francisco over the weekend would have celebrated her 18th birthday today. the crash happened near larkin and pine street saturday night. investigators say the girl who has been identified as sean kanavan was with a group of friends when she started in front of a taxi. the taxi driver stopped and is cooperating. she was a senior at

international high school and the varsity volleyball team. we have details of mandatory water cutbacks that will be enforced saturdaying -- starting in june. people in san francisco will have to cut water consumption by 8%. the number is twice as big as east bay m.u.d. customers. it's 20% in san jose. on the peninsula, people in hillsborough will need to make the biggest cuts 28%. san francisco public utilities commission is launching a new campaign that's alled brown is the new -- that's called brown is the new green. if you let your lawns go brown, you can display a sign with the slogan to show off your conservation efforts. the campaign will start with a discussion at the marina green at noon. well, the 119th boston marathon is underway. right now, hundreds of people here in the bay area are also

running to honor the victims of the 2013 bombings. brian flores is at justin herman plaza where the race just got underway. i know you are a runner, brian. you could have taken off with them. [laughter] >> reporter: in terms of significance, this is equal. we're live at justin her man plaza. runners took off about 20 minutes ago to run in solidarity to the runners in boston as well as the victims. they are running a 5-k. it starts and ends here. the race organized by the san francisco marathon is in its third year. early this morning. we spoke with a runner who was there in boston moments after the bombing and he and others reflect on the day.

>> it was scary. my wife was there. she said oh, my god. that's exactly where she was standing. >> for me, i definitely -- i'm more aware of my surroundings. i always carry my i.d. bracelet with me when i run. >> reporter: in boston, more than 80 runners from 80 countries are participating. security very tight, especially after the 20130 bombing that killed three -- 20130 bombing that killed three people -- 2013 bombing that killed she people. for the first time, anti-drone technology is spotting threats from the air. fans and spectators have to go through security also. as we take it back out here live, a group of -- i would say roughly around 50 runners took off about 20 minutes or so to

a teacher in barcelona, killed in an attack in a public high school. police detained a boy they say is younger than 15 years old. they will not confirm yet whether he was a student. investigators say the teacher was killed with a bladed weapon. two other teachers and two students were also hurt during that attack. well, today marks 16 years

since the columbine school tragedy. one of the deadliest school cases of school violence inspect united states. in colorado, two students walked onto campus and gunned down 12 classmates and a teacher and then killed themselves. now, more than 20 others were injured. the school is closed today. a ceremony is for later this morning with a moment of silence and a reading of the names of those killed. also, today, a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the bombing of the federal building in oklahoma city where 168 people were killed. that bombing of the alfred p. murrah building was the deadliest act of trim in american history. the names of those killed were read during the ceremony. some survivors and government officials smoke including bill clinton. tim mow i have mcveigh set off a truck bomb in -- tim mow i have mcveigh -- timothy

mcveigh was convicted and put to death. the fbi in minneapolis plans to announce more information about a counterterrorism information. it involved young people who traveled or tried to travel asing syria. a handful of residents have gone to siriia to fight within the last year. at least one of them has died while fit fighting for -- while fighting for isis. islamic state militants released another terrifying video. it shows what appears to be the execution of the 30 ethiopian christians. it shows one beheaded on a beach. the victims are believed to be ethiopian migrants hoping to get to europe. but they were kidnapped in libya by extremists.

the ethiopian government is trying to confirm whether this video is authentic. a woman in richmond was cited after her car flew off the road. police posted these pictures from saturday afternoon on facebook. they say the driver was distracted. veered off solano avenue went through fence, slid down an beat and hit the slide at a church play ground. the woman's son was also in the car, neither was hurricane. but police say they did cite the woman for not having a license, not using a child's safety seat and for driving off the road. >> wow. >> yeah. >> that's a wow. 7:47. let's see what sal is seeing. you are your eye on emeryville. >> yes. we also have do have a lot of -- we also do have a lot of slow traffic. we'll start off with our emmy are ville cram raw.

but getting here for some will be tough on 580 and 880. 580 is slow out of the livermore area. we had an earlier accident on the dublin grade. 580 is slow out of san leandro. after mccarther, it's slow to the bay bridge. 880 slows northbound. but most traffic will be up to about high street and after that, it's okay. this is a look at 680. it's backed up from 242. it stays slow all the way into danville this morning. had some slow traffic -- 101 is going to be slow. i also want to throw in if you are driving to san jose. let's say you are on 880, driving from hayward and fremont, all of those commutes are very slow. 880 seslow from -- 880 is slow to milpitas. most is slow because of earlier issues. we're still following breaking news in fairfield.

the chp looking for a young boy who was inside a car that was stolen from outside of a home this morning. the police need your help to find him. take a look at this photo. this is 8-year-old brock guzman. now, the chp says he was inside the car. the car was warming up in the driveway when someone got in and drove off. this happened about 5:00 this morning on meadowlark drive. police in fairfield are going door to door, they are asking neighbors if they have any surveillance video that might help lead to clues as to who stole the car and took the young boy. police aren't sure if the suspect even knew the boy was inside the car. they are hoping for his safe return. >> obviously the longer it goes, the more anybody would worry about the child. but we're still hopeful that, you know, he will be found and found safely. >> it's not clear at this point, what direction that suspect in that car is headed.

wesley burton. this is a tough story for you to talk about. >> reporter: it's a difficult day for a lot of people, dave. his family, friends, colleagues here at kpka radio. this is where he worked. he just left his shift on saturday morning when he was hit in this hit-and-run crash driving home to his family when it happened. let me show you the lobby. they have a memorial here for wesley, a husband and father of three. people have coming to write messages in his honor this morning. burton hosted the after-hours program here at kpfa. he spent years working in radio. he worked at the youth training program which is where i met him in the 1990s. the crash that ended his life happened at 2:20 in the morning saturday on mlk at 60th street.

oakland police say it was a speeding dodge charger that slammed into burton's car leaving him dead there at the scene. the driver of that dodge charger got out and ran off after the crash and that person remains on the run this morning. those close to burton say he was kind, generous and are still trying to make sense of his death. >> i want wesley remembered as a strong good-willed man. he -- he was all about his family. he didn't care about anything more than his friends and his family. if you are friends with wesley, you are family. >> reporter: a gofundme account has been set up for burton to help his wife and three children with their expenses at this very difficult time. i was told this morning that wesley was the breadwinner in the family. so obviously, this has a huge impact on them and already

people have donated more than $13,000. as far as the investigation into this crash, it's unclear if oakland police have been automobile to identify the driver of that car that truck and killed burton over the weekend. we're working on more information from oakland police and will let you know when we hear back. again, that person ran off after the crash and chris riggins who you heard from this morning, one of wesley's close friends, told me he's hoping that driver responsible will turn themselves in. >> thank you. talk to you later. a bicyclist is in the hospital and an uber driver is in jail after an alleged case of road rage at san francisco's fisherman's wharf. it happen yesterday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at north point and taylor. the cyclist suffered a punctured wowbtd and broken col -- lung and a broken collarbone. the driver is emmerson karvala of daly city.

superstorm, janine. >> pam, we moved in the last couple of hours here to the baylands nature preserve. we wanted to give you a shot of the bay. as you can see there's also power lines close to the area. this report talks about infrastructure and low-lying areas would be at risk if this megastorm happens. the nonprofit, the bay area council says despite that california has experienced a drought, the weather here is volatile. experts say a superstorm is inevitable because one is predicted to happen every 150 years or so which falls into this time period. a map shows the threatened areas in red. the study showed 80% of flooding damage would occur in marin, san mateo and santa clara counties. the council released a video on youtube talking about the impact near the bay. >> we have a lot of businesses, a lot of buildings, we have our airports, we have waste water treatment facilities. highway, most of those are low

trying to jump over the white house fence. it happened before 10:30 last night on the south side of the white house. investigators say 54-year-old jarome r. hunt of hayward was immediately arrested, taken into custody. he was carrying a package but it turned out to be harmless. he will be arraigned on a charge of unlaw full entry. this incident comes on the wake of several high-profile security breaches in the nation's capital, generating really serious concerns about security. last year, one man made it all the way inside the white house. that led to the edition of a second row of temporary barricades. and the national park unveiled plans to put spikes along the white house fans and a florida mailman landed a gyrocopter on the lawn of the u.s. capitol trying to make a estimate. mike huckabee says on may 2nd, he says will reveal

commutes. we're looking at highway 4 westbound. you can see the traffic is gonna be a little bit slow. it's become slower. a lot of people are stuck in contra costa traffic. that's been slow this morning as you drive through. let's talk about contra costa county. southbound 680 from concord to walnut creek is very slow. and then heading down to danville and alamo. it continues to be slow. look at the south bay commute. northbound 101 and 280 are slow. one of the things getting to 280 in downtown looks good. you are gonna see some slow traffic approaching 17. 8:19 let's go to steve in the weather center. very good morning. low clouds and a lot to go around. this is a big fog bank out there. extends north, south. all the way up and down the coast. all the way into oregon, down into southern california and well out into the pacific. it's lifted up above 2,000 feet. it had no problems, clearing a lot of the hills. the breeze has been strongly onshore. now for some, it's sunny. temperatures slightly below normal. these are the forecasted highs.

was still inside. >> reporter: and then i know that you found a bike right in front of the home. and do you think that this could possibly be linked to your suspect? >> it could possibly. it's not known to the home. so we have taken the bike as evidence. and hopefully it will give us some clues as to who either owns the bike or might be the suspect who stole the vehicle. >> reporter: at this point, you think your suspect had no idea that this child was in the back seat asleep? >> correct. it sounds like it was more of a crime of opportunity. the vehicle's running, you know, the suspect gets in, steals the car and later discovers that brock is asleep in the back. >> reporter: what charges could the suspect face? >> a lot of that will be determined based on the investigation. >> reporter: are you still asking for surveillance video or -- at this point, you have no idea who this person is.

event. business owners near golden gate park had been expecting a big jump in sales because of all of those people. but last year they say business dropped some said there was a 90% dropoff in business. they blame the police closing nearby streets and shutting off access. well, this year police say street closures will be kept to a minimum but they will still be on the lookout for unruly behavior and underaged pot smokers the-- smokers. the 4/20 celebration is expected to create a traffic mess. police plan to limit westbound traffic at keezer drive between 3:00 to 7:00. that is the main thoroughfare in the area. muni will be adding extra buses to help with the expected congestion. today may be the unofficial marijuana holiday but celebrations in colorado they started over the weekend. thousands of people from all

over the nation flocked to colorado this weekend showing support for legal recreational marijuana. the event appears to have brought in a lot of business to the area with almost every potshot filled with tourists. recreational use of the drug is legal in colorado but people are not allowed to use it in public. police say they issued about 60 citations on saturday for people smoking marijuana out in the open. well, president obama is voicing support for decriminalizing medical marijuana. he told cnn he thinks carefully prescribed medical use of marijuana may be appropriate and says we should follow science as oop posed to i deol- - opposed to ideology. he also said the nation should treat some issues related to drug abuse from a public health model, not just from an incarceration model. a bill was introduced last month seeking to reduce the ability to crackdown on medical marijuana programs that have

been made legal by states. the city of berkeley is considering buffer zones to keep tobacco away from children. the city is set to vote on an ordinance to would prohibit the sale of products within 1,000 feet of a school or public park. the ordinance is modeled after one in chicago that established a 500-foot zone buffer. runners making their way through the streets of boston for the boston marathon. right here in the bay area, runners are showing their support for the victims of the 2013 bombing. ktvu fox 2 reporter brian flores is in san francisco. you've been following the runners. are they back, brian? >> reporter: yeah, they are back. they made a quick run of it. not as big as the boston marathon but in terms of significance, it remains very important to them. we continue to be here at justin herman plaza. the runners made their way back here in solidarity with the

bombing victims as well as the runners. in terms of the runners, they ran a 5-k off 3.1 miles along the embarcadero just earlier this mowning. the 5 hk course started here at justin herman plaza, their wade -- made their way to at&t park. earlier this morning, we spoke with a runner who was there in boston just moments after the bombing and he and others reflect on that day and how it's changed them. >> it was scary. my wife was there with me. she was watching. she said oh, my god. that's exactly literally where she was standing. that's closer to where you want to be. >> for me, i'm definitely more aware of my surroundings. you know, i always carry my i.d. bracelet with me now whenever i run. >> reporter: in boston, runners from from more than 80

it's the second accident today involving a boat with refugees from the middle east. this morning's crash crash comes as the search continues for survivors near malta after a ship carrying syrian migrants capsized over the weekend. more than 700 people were said to be on board the ship. so far 28 people have been found alive. hundreds of refugees from the middle east are believed to have died in recent weeks due to the capsizing of overloading smuggling boats bound for europe. the fbi in minneapolis announced there is a growing problem of young people looking to join isis. >> for the safety of our community and all of our children, we must join with the courageous leaders working to bring this terror recruiting to an end. we have a long way to go. >> over the weekend, the fbi arrested six people in minnesota and san diego, they were part of a counterterrorism

investigation. the case involved young somali american men who traveled or tried to travel into syria to fight with isis. authorities say a handful of minnesota residents have traveled to syria to fight with militants within the past year. at least one minnesotan has died while fighting for isis. well, bobby brown claims this his daughter, bobbi kristina, is awake. he made the announcement during a concert in texas on saturday, while another family member confirmed the same news, there are conflicting reports. bobbi kristina has been in a coma for nearly three months. investigators say her boyfriend found her face down and unresponsive in the bathtub in atlanta. bobbi kristina, the only daughter of brown and the late whitney houston, the news comes one month after she was released from emory hospital and moved to and a undislowsed location. a -- disclosed location.

a woman in richmond was cited after her car flew off the road and onto a slide on a children's playground. the police posted this on saturday on facebook. they say the driver was disstacketted, veered -- distracted, veered off solano, went through a fence, slid off an embankment and hit the slide. the woman's 7-year-old was also in the car. neither were hurt. she was cited for not having a license, not using a child safety seat and driving off the road. 8:50. check back in with sal. there's been some slow traffic. no huge problems which is good for a monday morning. >> yeah. the problems happened earlier and then kind of left slow traffic behind. this is a look at 880. we do have slowing from about san leandro near marina boulevard north of it getting up to downtown oakland. to gets better after 23rd. also looking at the commute on the peninsula now, 101 is not the way to go, i wouldent say.
