minute span. the largest -- struck within a 30 minute span. ktvu fox 2 news viewers told us they felt the strong earthquake. we felt it here in oakland. one person who called described it as a quick jolt. no damage or injuries have been reported. now to ktvu fox 2 news meteorologist mark tamayo. >> this is on the connered green valley fault. concord green valley fault. the biggest one, the main shock at 3:13 p.m. and then clustered around this, a 2.7. a closer look at the main

daughter at an apartment complex. investigators believe a drunk driver jumped the curve and plowed into their porch. ktvu's noelle walker is live where investigators held a news conference. >> reporter: they released new information about that deadly crash. they say the driver had a blood alcohol twice had legal limit and he was at the wine country festival before the crash. >> they serve alcohol till 5:00 p.m. the accident collision occurred two hours later. we don't know during that time his whereabouts. >> the vendors are trained to spot intoxicated people so they are not over served and people looked for dui drivers to offer them a way to get a safe wide home. the festival ended two hours

before the crash. we talked to witnesses who a day later still can't believe what they saw. [ indiscernible ] >> reporter: saturday was supposed to be a happy day at this apartment as family and friends gathered for a party. 24 hours later they gather in grief, mourning the death of a mother and baby. >> feel bad for them. feel sorry for the fally. they lost -- family. they lost a wife, a daughter. >> they were inside the house when they heard a crash. >> really bad. was a scary moment. >> reporter: tire marks show the driver hit the breaks at the last second before jumping the curve, hitting the mother and child, smashing into a tree and taking out the fence and patio. >> nobody wants to see that. it is really bad. you know, the lady under the car. >> reporter: this shows the

after math. a car hardly recognizable after the impact. the mother and baby pinned underneath. >> he was yelling my daughter and my love. >> reporter: she brought flowers today. she was working saturday night when she heard the crash. >> when i looked up there was smoke. >> the driver is a 35-year-old brian jones of livermore. he was drunk when he lost control of his car. he remembers seeing the driver right after the crash. >> like he couldn't walk straight. >> make a mistake like this guy make, now it will be jail. the trauma prompted him to teach his kids who aren't hold enough to drink about the dangers of drinking and driving. >> the driver -- nothing happens to the driver. and innocent people pay the

price. >> reporter: too high a price for a family left without a wife, mother and daughter. police are not releasing the names of the victims right now out of respect for the famy. we know that two boys were in-- family. we know that two boys were injured. jones was arrested on driving under it influence and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. he has posted bail. >> thank you. sad sorry. thank you. a tour bus caught fire today on a san francisco street. firefighters say it happened about 10:30 a.m. this morning. it took firefighters an hour to control the flames. the bus belongs to the big bus tour company. a san francisco fire dispatcher says everyone made it off the bus safely. no word on what started the fire. now we want to talk about the warriors. after eliminating their opponent in the first round of the playoffs they continue their winning ways taking on

baltimore officials lifted a curfew put in place last week after rioting and luting. it has been an emotional week. today there are more calls for an end to the violence. joining her. another large quake hit the region leaves thousands dead. a second look, the challenges in getting food and medical tied the remote region. >> reporter: this baby was 7 days old when the earthquake destroyed had medical center she was in. her mother lifted her out minutes before she died. >> miracle baby. >> reporter: this was where she and her mother were when the earthquake hit. she built the center 25 years ago. she says they can't find anyone to airlift it newborn to the hospital. her father looks on, helpless. he is trying to help her set up an emergency clinic in a tent for the stream of injured who are arriving from miles around.

so, bernadette, how goes the hunt for bridesmaid dresses? well, if you don't mind looking like an orange traffic cone, great. amy: girlfriends i have the answer to our dress problems. bernadette: really? amy: 12 years ago, my cousin irene and her entire family died in a horrific carbon monoxide accident the night before her wedding. that's horrible. yes and no. all those bridesmaids dresses remain unused and available to us for free. so it seems that cloud of odorless deadly gas had a silver lining after all. check it out still in the bags. the gowns, not the bridesmaids. i don't know. dead people's dresses? yeah, and cap sleeves? eh...
