wall. original reports were that miller pushed his girlfriend out of a car and he was arrested for alleged assault. a you livermore man is -- a livermore man is free on bail after police say he hit and killed a mother and her baby during a dui crash this weekend. this morning, neighbors dropped off flowers at a memorial for the two victims. a family friend says esperanza morales and her 14-month-old daughter, juli, were killed when a suspected drunk driver plowed into the backyard of an apartment. a gofundme page has been set up to help with funeral expenses. the crash happened at 7:00 saturday night at the complex. police say brian jones had a blood alcohol level nearly twice the legal limit. on sunday, he posted $350,000 bail and was set for free. his release was hard for family and friends to understand. >> i couldn't belief believe --

believe that. i didn't believe it. he's already out of jail and could be doing the same thing today. >> police say driver was at the livermore wine country festival on saturday, a couple of hours before the deadly crash. jones is facing charges of gross vehicular manslaughter and dui. he's expected to make his first court appearance tomorrow. new details are emerging about a shooting outside of a controversial art event in texas. a security guard was wounded and two gunmen killed. now federal agents have searched a home in phoenix where the two men lived and there are reports one of the gunmen involved tweeted before the shooting pledging loyalty to isis. here's more from garland, texas. >> reporter: the search for answers continues as police try to determine the cause of a shooting at a texas event center. partner were patrolling as part of an anti-crime unit and stopped to ask a man what was in his waistband when he was shot in the head. demetrius blackwell was the shooter. the national guard is pulling out of baltimore and the curfew is being lifted. this comes following the arrest of six police officers allegedly involved in the death of freddie gray. it's expected to take three days for the national guard to move all 4,000 of its troops out of the city. the curfew was in effect for five days after the violence erupted last monday. most businesses closed during the curfew are also back open. >> toe soo it bounce -- to see it bounce back so quickly, gives me optimism in the rebuilding. >> the city says 4le 6 people -- 486 people were arrested during the protests and 113 police officers were injured.

many business owners here in the bay area are frustrated as they clean up the mess caused friday night by violent protesters. more than 30 businesses were hit. 62 cars were vandalized at the hyundai car dealership which estimates it suffered more than $500,000 in damage. many say the way oakland's new mayor handles these large protests will become a critical test of her leadership. mayor libby schaaf was on "mornings on 2" and said there is a lot of city is doing well but room for improvement. >> what went right? what went wrong right? >> well, we did a good job of protecting people. this is notable. a lot of people were out in downtown that night, enjoying restaurants and pea had no -- we had no harm to people. you ayou a ours -- officers

in afghanistan, the taliban is claiming responsibility for attacks that have killed nearly two dozen people. at least 16 policemen were killed last night during attacks on police checkpoints. today, in this attack, a taliban suicide bomber targeted a bus in kabul, carrying government employees. at least one person was killed. more than a dozen other people were injured. a taliban statement says the attacks are part of the

insurgents' spring offensive launched last month. nepal government is urging foreign rescue workers helping with earthquake recovery efforts to return home. officials say major rescue work in kathmandu is complete and the remaining work can be handled by local workers. but foreign aid volunteers are welcome to help in remote areas. the death toll stands at 7300. but yesterday, three more survivors were pulled from the rubble. there are reports that emergency supplies flown into nepal are being held up at the airport because of the country's strict customs rules. officials also put weight restrictions on planes saying heavy loads may risk damaging the airport's only airstrip further. a castro valley couple used social media to collect supplies for the victims of nepal. they started to collect
