tried to attack woman in a public rest room. he was arrested friday thanks to a tip from a resident. new developments tonight out of nepal. another major earthquake hit the area today. and a u.s. military helicopter is missing from a relief mission. six marines and two others were on board. radio transmissions indicated they had a fuel problem. searches turned up no signs of the helicopter. they are hoping it may have landed but can't communicate because of the mountains. this comes after a 7.6 aftershock hit nepal today. this is video of a landslide. red cross shot it video near the boarder with china. the landslide covered part of the village. the quake so far today killed 42 people. the report on the death toll.

2 weeks after thousands died in a massive earthquake nepal got hit hard again on tuesday. a 7.3 earthquake rattle the country causing more -- rattling the county causing more death and destruction. they are not sure they can keep up with the urgent need for aid. . >> red alert is the one we had in april. that means it is very severe earthquake. highly populated area. so honestly right now we fear the worst. >> the earthquake hit a more remote region but it is less than 40 miles from the capital. north of katmandu. triggering landslide and toppling buildings. and it was strong enough to be felt in china and india. >> it is -- intensity,

particularly the area which are adjoining the epicenter of the earthquake. it is quite high. >> reporter: now a shell shocked nation is gearing up again for another major rescue and recovery effort. for many the earthquake brought back memories they want to forget. >> this was a jolt like the big one last month. i was very scared. >> reporter: officials are expecting more aftershocks in the coming days, if not weeks. david piper fox news. bill meant to create more over sight of school districts investigating where students live is set to go before lawmakers tomorrow. in december she complained to the school board. she says a private investigator lied when questions her nanny about the woman's daughter attending the local school. the investigation prompted the district to reject the girl's attendance. they later changed their mind but she was never told why the

residentially was investigated in the first place. the case prompted her to create the new bill. it requires investigators to truthfully identify themselves to families. provide 5 day's notice that an investigation will take place. create an appeal process and require the district to provide specific facts prompting any investigation. the bill goes before the committee tomorrow. san jose is the largest city in california to add mandatory water cuts and fines. some people say their approach is unfair. ktvu's john fowler explains how it works. >> reporter: just as warmer temperatures hit it south bay so will a new drought plan for a million water customers. use more than you are allotted and you will pay a lot more. many say it is the best way. >> i think it will maybe help save it. >> reporter: [ inaudible question ] >> i think it will work. >> reporter: volunteer

an inmate who was injured last month has now died. a county worker was building a backhoe. 11 people were sent to the hospital. the 52-year-old died yesterday. the exact cause of the explosion is under investigation. still in high school but some students are already getting the training they need to become firefighters. ktvu fox 2 news alex savage takes us inside the program that pairs working firefighters with students who could become the next group of home grown talent. >> reporter: from the coat to the mask, these students are finding out first hand what it
