hello everyone. ken wane is off tonight. once those negotiations were over they searched the home and found three men shot to death. reports of gunfire came in around 2:45 this afternoon at that home. oakland police responded and they found a manholed up inside. a neighbor sent us some pictures. these pictures are of the man being arrested. police tell us they are no longer searching for the suspect. the victims are all three men rangeing from age from 40-60-year-old. all suffered gunshot wounds we do have a crew on the scene right now gathering information. we will continue to follow this developing news right here on air and also bring you any new details on twitter. new at 10:00 a taste of what's to come. san jose fire official say

someone welding started a grass fire. behind a row of townhouses you see and hear the flames. and hear the concern. >> i heard firefighters and people in the complex flooded 911 can w calls -- with calls. it was worried. >> 15 engines summoned with within 15 minutes. about 100 firefighters total. plus a cal fire air tanker and helicopter making drop. >> we are playing it cautious. >> at least ten homes were threatened. >> all that heat and smoke and flames is headed up the hill

area. this is the area where the fire was burning to day. the conditions we had a temperature of 70 degrees. there that wind you heard about. gusting between 11-19 miles an hour. the wind coming in out of the west southwest. also you heard the terrain a big factor as well leading to the growth of that fire. we do have warmer temperatures in the forecast that will increase the fire danger. we will have more on that in your 10:35 weather forecast update. now to the warriors play off run in houston. we you have a problem. a big problem. golden state dominated the rockets on their home floor tonight. now just one game away from the nba finals. along the way steph curry made some history tonight. now with a look at how they commanded the game from start to finish. i felt a little bit sorry for the rockets. >> did you? >> not really. a high profile verdict in cleveland prompted cavaliers star lebron james to call for calm in the city. they took to the streets angry after a judge acquitted a police officer of manslaughter. police arrested more than a dozen people. >> [ indiscernible ] the state did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant knowingly caused the

he's gull i believe. we are muslims. we are not practicing muslims. he became a practicing muslim. >> if convicted both men could face up to 15 years in prison. a missouri man accused of holding his former girlfriend captive in a wooden box off and on for months and killing her and her teenage son was shot today by police. 47-year-old james horn was hiding in a closet this morning. they called on him to surrender but he threatened them with a weapon so they opened fire. for months they locked his former girlfriend inside wooden box whenever he left the house. that box was said to be 100 inches long with just a small air hole. the girlfriend escaped late in april. on thursday both she and her 17-year-old son were found shot the death in her relatives home. the chp is investigating a

dead lay crash in napa county. it happened about 10:00 last night. the driver and his passenger were both killed when that car veered off a 50-foot cliff crashed and then caught fire. one of the victims is identified tonight as 50-year-old crane. the identity of the other man has not been released. well a boat mysteriously runs aground. we talked to a witness who saw the man jump out and then run. >> [ indiscernible ] on the back of flat bed truck on her way to a repair shop. the boat was discovered 3:30 friday afternoon after a witness tells police the man at the helm ran her aground. the man jumped from the boat ask then walked away.

the clean up effort continues on the coast as oil from tuesday's pipeline spill continues to spread. two states beaches are closed for the holiday weekend and people are trying to help wildlife recover. john has the story now from the beach. >> just wish you could go over there and put a blanket on them. >> a young sea lion struggles along the coastline. a volunteer nearby called for a rescue team which is actively working in the area since tuesday's oil spill. >> either one of two things will happen. we will go back into the water and die for sure or they will bite me. just have to wait till people know what they are doing. >> the sea lion is only a few miles way from the 9 mile contamination zone where a pipeline break sent thousands of

gallons of oil into the ocean forcing the closure of three beaches and leading to a massive clean up effort. nearby at the beach the health officer personally inspected the sand and water and said it was not impacted here. >> there might be a little bit more oil on the beach than usual. kind of along the high tide water edge line. it's pretty avoidable right now. there really isn't any odor. of course this is an evolving situation. the wind and currents can always sxhaj push more ashore -- change and push more ashore. >> this is normal. it's dried up solid. the fresh stuff is going to be liquid. >> warning signs were posted for anyone planning to fish but this site was so far spared.

that developing story that we -- on that developing story about a triple homicide happening today in north oakland: i want to show you the scene less than an hour ago outside the home. police have been there since about 3:00 this afternoon. there were report of gunfire. when they arrived a man was holed up inside the home. he was unresponsive to their demands that he surrender. now police -- police say the 25-year-old suspect eventually came out crawling out of the house by crawling. these are pictures of him being take into an custody. he was arrested without further resistance. then they discover the three men inside were shot to death. those victims range in age from 40-60-year-old. police say that one of the victims is the suspect's father.

the fog is regrouping and as a result that low cloud deck will push back into the bay already a factor. forecast headlines low clouds and some patchy drizzle. monday for memorial day we are expecting a bit of a drop in temperatures. a little bit warmer tomorrow and a little bit cooler in the monday forecast. overnight lows first thing tomorrow morning starting out the day in the upper 40s to the low to mid 50s. the fog coast side easily. around the bay partly cloudy skies well inland. we do have the low clouds and fog this evening. some drizzle first thing tomorrow morning. here is the wider perspective out here in the pacific. high pressure is rebuilding. with that tomorrow will be warmer. temperatures inland back up into the mid to upper 70s. maybe approaching the 80 degree mark. that's going to be the source of some cooling in the memorial day forecast. tomorrow morning expect a cloud
