similar to how we started yesterday. 54 right now in fairfield, 52 napa. novato you're checking at 51, upper 50s in livermore, around the bay widespread 50s as well. san francisco we're starting off at 51, 53 at this hour. wood side you're holding at 51 degrees. with the cloud cover out there, we'll be slow to warm, but by the second half of the morning, into the early afternoon, we'll have better clearing for the day, as we get into the second half. notice along the coastline, we continue with the coastline, we'll continue to have the coast and we'll continue around here today. we'll have 60s with more sunshine expected for the afternoon. and 70s expected for the inland cities. temperatures will be coming up for today. some of us will not notice but it should feel better. notice the shade of orange, that's going to creep our way

previous flagrant fouls in the playoffs. bun half of the finals are already set. the cleveland cavaliers completed a four game sweep of the atlanta hawks last night to win the eastern conference title there. a nice shot. james scored 23 points in the 118-88 win. irving came back after missing two games. this will be lebron's fifth straight game finals appearance. the cavaliers have been in the league since 1970 and they've never won a nba title. we hope that continues. >> all right, pam. a southwest airlines flight took off from san jose made an emergency landing in los angeles last night. the flight was banded in san diego. a heat censor detected a fire. the plane taxied to an airport

gate, everyone on board safely got off. no fires were found and southwest thinks the problem may are been a faulty warning light. hours earlier, passengers on the eva night said they were evacuated, the flight from taiwan was named as the target of a bomb threat. it landed safely and was september to the remote part of the airport. there was another from cafe pacific flight headed to l.a. they didn't find anything suspicious had they checked the planes and the luggage. february threats were in the international flights in the east coast. the same person may have made all of those calls. a search goes on this morning for a girl about 9 to 12 years old who was seen pleading for help while riding in a suv that was going through the bay bridge toll plaza this past weekend. ktvu's alex savage joins us

live, he's at the toll plaza now, and they're trying to make sure the girl is safe. >> a search is under way for the suv and the girl inside. >> it was an alert toll taker who witnessed the disturbing scene as the suv passed through over this past weekend. he says he saw a girl inside who really appeared to be in trouble. she was anywhere between 9 and 12 years old and she was struggling with two adults who were in the front seat of that suv. a man was driving and a woman was in the pas year seat and this if i recall was kneeling between them. these are surveillance images taken saturday night. they show a gray chevy blazer that they're looking for. that suv has no permanent license plates on it which made that toll taker suspicious as well. the toll taker asked the girl at the time if the man and

woman were her parents and she said no, and that's when she called the chp for help and they were unable to track down the suv that night. >> he felt there was something off about this, he's the father of two, he was in tune with that fact and he really thought that this little girl may have been in distress. >> the c of p says the driver of the suv handed the toll taker a dollar before driving off and did not pay the full toll. the chp wants to talk to this man and woman to clear this off and they're hoping it was a family dispute and the argument of some kind, that the girl really did know these two adults, they want it clear up this situation and they don't want to take any chances. >> we'll try it find out more. we're following new developments this morning in the international scandal

involving the governing body of world soccer. this was taken a short time ago, this video in switzerland. police raided a hotel. the united states and switzerland they're investigating the soccer club and they're investigating bribes dating back to 1990s in the u.s. they're seeing whether fifa members took bribes when they had the 2018 world's cup to russia and the 2022 world cup to qatar and it's not expected to affect the world cup in canada. and the irs agents of miami stormed the headquarters of a soccer federation connected to fifa, the corruption is rampant, systemic and deep routed. it -- rooted and it includes

start with 880 oakland. we had a huge delay. we had road work and now it's cleared up. this is great, as i mentioned, it was cleared up early enough that the traffic did clear up in the coliseum. as it gets closer you may see small pockets of traffic, in the last ten minutes or so we have improved. you can use 580, 508 looks good out of san leandro, 880 southbound a little slow as you head down towards 238. this is where the traffic is headed. there's a backup of 20 minutes before you make it on to the bridge. 280 traffic is looking good. the southbound commute is not bad right now as you drive on 85, 280 and 101. let's if to rosemary. the drizzle is not as bad out there this morning. the temperatures are similar to how we started. in the 50s for most. in the east bay, a live look,

the clouds are moving all the way through into the valleys, the central valley once depend, and a fairly strong onshore breeze. a repeat when it comes to the onshore winds and the cloud cover this morning and the temperatures too. 50 degrees santa rosa and we're still checking on the airport, no delays just yet for those arriving flights, i'll let you know if that changes. 50 in concord and san jose you're waking up with 55 degrees. if you get no the second part of the day, temperatures will be come up by 4 to # degrees. low 70s in san raphael. these degrees are a few degrees warmer than yesterday. take a look at the beach, we'll remain partly cloudy and we'll have a sea breeze. the onshore breeze is expected to taper off it will not go away completely. it will continue as we get to

the rest of the week. the warming friend will be primarily for our inland cities and around the bay it will have more sunshine. it will feel more comfortable. 66 in oakland for the afternoon. if you are going to see the a's play, it will be a nice one. to the santa clara valley where we have low 70s in areas around san jose, 72 in santa clara and 71 in sunny ville. redwood city, palo alto, you'll go to 73, upper 60s in manteo and again along coast we'll remain socked in with the low clouds, patchy fog and 68 expected for pacifica for today. we're taking it for you day by day. temperatures expected to climb thursday, friday and into saturday. friday and saturday seem to be the warmer day for the city. we've been talking about it a little bit, going back to may 1st and may 2nd.

the neighborhood highs and the warming trend that will continue into part of your week. let's check on the traffic with sal. >> right now we're looking at a commute here at bay bridge toll plaza and the traffic is not bad. it's slow, but it's not affected by any major problems that we had yesterday when it was just terrible. today it's the normal slow down that we see at the toll plaza, 20, 25 minutes before you make it on to the span. you're looking at the commute here on the freeway northbound 880. we had earlier construction delays, those have been cleared up ah. and traffic continues to move well. we had a crash here and we haven't seen anything, 580 is slow through livermore as you drive through. southbound on south 80, i don't see any show traffic. it continues to look good according to the road sensors. it doesn't slow down until you

gain access. they used social security numbers, taxpayers birth dates where they live, including the tax filing status single or married. that can be used to create fraudulent tax returns. it will notify those taxpayers whose information was stolen and offer free credit monitoring. the mcarthur foundation giving 20 jails to come up with ways to reduce the number of people unnecessarily behind bars, they man to spend $75 million to bring more fairness to the criminal justice system. the jurisdictions getting the grants include los angeles new york city and chicago as well as some of the smaller lockups like mesa and colorado and st. louis county missouri including ferguson, missouri. the proposal to expand the rest

county detention center in richmond is run nothing strong community opposition. they're worried that the expansion will bring more inmates to rich monday. the proposal would make the richmond jail the biggest in the county with a thousand inmates. they want to hear details about mental health and job training programs that the sheriff is promising to offer the inmates. the sheriff says it's not enough room for the main jail in martinez for those services. the only remaining home park in palo alto, they're trying to figure out where they'll go. that's after the city council approved the request to close it down. people, obviously, are upset they may be forced to find new places to live right here in the holidays. >> reporter: yeah, they're very disappointed. something we don't know yet is what the property owner is going to do with this land at

the mobile home park, and what it sits on. he didn't say whether he'll sell it to a developer or an agency that will want to take over the park. it was approved unanimously by the city council last night. they can't infringe on the property's owner right to shut down the mobile home park or sell the land. it was located on el camino, they say it's the only affordable place to live in palo alto. they're hoping the property owner will sell the property to the city and county so a nonprofit can run it so that the 400 people who live here won't have to be evicted. >> once the site is lost i don't know how if ever the city or region would be able to recap 120 houses of affordable housing i don't know where these 400 folks will go. >> last night the council agreed to have an appraiser come in and do a peer-review of

the appraisals done of each property, a few years ago, a lot of the residents don't feel they were offered a fair relocation process because they didn't take the value of schools here into account. that review will take several weeks and the process still needs to be done before a six- month eviction notice is issued coming up at 7:0, we spoke with a person who lives at the mobile home park and at least some of them say they're not giving up a fight and they still have hope. we'll tell you why. >> thank you for that update. >> 6:39 is the time the san francisco school board is cracking down at enrollment at a proper city for the arts. the board voted last night to ban the students known as sota starting in the fall. the school in diamond heights attracts students across northern california who audition for a spot.
