good afternoon. i'm tori campbell. we begin with breaking news out of san francisco where a construction worker fell six stories. the man was working in an elevator shaft and scaffolding fell on top of him. according to the fire department the man fell to the bottom soft shaft. he suffered serious leg injuries. no word on what caused the scaffolding to fall. if we get more information

we'll brick it to you. a plan to cut water usage. we tell you how it is already drawing criticism from frustrated residents. >> reporter: water is a precious resource that will start costing you more if you're not careful about using it. each customer will be allotted to same amount of water per month. if we go over the limit there are penalties to pay. >> i want to know if you're allocating based on the number of people in the home. >> no. >> why not? it's the only fair way to do it. >> reporter: it proposes customers cut usage by 30%. the company will base it off the average to monthly usage of all residential customers in 2013, not each home's individual use. >> you might not be able to

>> reporter: ktvu channel 2 news. all right. let's see if it will be good weather this weekend. rosemary is here with our forecast. >> yes. it will be sunny and nice. let's take a look outside our doors. all of the cloud cover that is beginning to break up, a live look from the north bay there. the satellite view tells a good story. i have a three hour time lapse on there. it has began to erode. we have mostly cloudy skies still in areas like oakland stretching into hayward as well. folks here day after day continuing to wait for that burn off and getting minimal sun in the. we have sun along the coastline. it will remain the entire day mostly cloudy and cool at the coast with the on shore breeze. the pattern warming up just nicely. the inland areas are feeling it. we will be fairly consistent

with what we had. along the coast won't see much either. 15 miles per hour, not going away completely but has tapered off since this morning. giving you a view here, anything to the low clouds we have mid-and high level clouds. the ridge is right about in here. it is strengthening over the course of the next 24 hours. we have a cooling trend coming our way on sunday. it has to do with this system that is back in here. an increase in the on shore flow. a little bit of drizzle for our north bay areas. we'll continue to track that for you. it doesn't look like much of anything if we do get some. for saturday temperatures upper 50s at the coast. low to mid-80s expected for the inland communities. here is a look at numbers outside your door. 70 in fairfield and 72 in walnut creek. you get close to the water and it's still cool. you can tell where the clouds
