years. alex savidge was inside the arena and has more on what we can expect tonight. >> reporter: in morning, crews were busy cleaning the court and slipping on those nba final seat covers getting ready for show time. i caught up with warriors' president and ceo and asked him what it was like walking into the building today. >> i'm getting choked up just with the question. it's the same every fan will experience tonight. it's been a long wait. it's not that we haven't had great teams. it's not that we haven't had amazing fan support but to reach the nba finals for the first time in 40 years, something pretty special. >> reporter: the last time the warriors was in the finals was 1975 when rick barry led the squad to the sweep of the washington bullets. now after a decades' long drought, the dubs are kleesing in on another -- closing in on another championship. the man widely considered the

of one of the victims were in the home sleeping at the time of the shooting. >> it appears that the -- one of the victims in this was the target of the shooting. there was some sort of altercation that occurred outside of the residence which led into the residence where the shooting actually occurred. >> investigators seized the car of one of the victims as evidence. the only description we have of the victims is that they are in their 30s and latino. police have some leads but are asking anyone with information on this case to come forward. the search continues force the driver of a car that briefly dragged a police officer last night. it happened around 9:00 p.m. on crocker avenue in daly city where several agencies from san mateo county were carrying out a gang crackdown. daly city police say an officer from an unnamed agency was talking with the drive of a white chrysler. the driver took off dragging

the officer a short way. the officer was not hurt. his partner fired shots at the car. police say they don't know if the suspect was hit by gunfire. federal agents accused a santa clara man of making guns as part of a local mill lane shaw-- militia. agents raided his home and they arrested him and seized two assault-style weapons and more than a thousand rounds of ammunition. a neighbor woke up to the sound of officers storming the home next door. >> we woke up around 6:00 a.m., herald loud noises at the neighbor's house. we weren't sure what was going on. >> a criminal complaint against gutierrez said the concerned citizen contacted the fbi last august. the tipster claimed he bragged about using drugs and joining the group of california state militia. a woman in her home refusioned to comment on the charges and calls to his attorney were not

returned. we're learning that a conservative activist may have been the original target of a terror plot in boston. pamela feller who is a blog -- geller is a blogger who organized a cartoon contest in texas about the prophet muhammad. boston police say they believe 26-year-old usaama rahim later decided to go after police officers because they were an easier target. raheem was shot to death in a confrontation with police on tuesday. the man convicted of killing government intern chandra levy 14 years ago has been granted a new trial. ingmar guandique received a 60- year prison sentence after being found guilty of killing her. but defense lawyers have been arguing that his conviction wasbationed on a lie -- was based on a bay. they cell a former cellmatele

trailing in the polls. both fox news and abc slated to host the first republican debate have limited the stage to ten candidates meaning some of them are gonna be left out in the cold. joel waldman, fox news. federal regulators say the pipeline that broke and dumped thousands of gallons of oil on the coastline was badly corroded. a preliminary report says the area where the pipe failed was just 1/16th of an inch thick. it's supposed to be more than .25 inch thick. this is where corrosion repairs were made in 2012. more than 100 animals have died and dozens of others were coated with oil. to the south, scientists are doing tests to see if tar urn waking up in -- washing up in long beach is from the same break. crews were on the break doing cleanup. tar balls have been turning up on the sand within half a mile of the queen mary.

officials say it's not from local gas or oil production. >> the naturally occurring tar type substances are fairly common in southern california. this piece of material here is what we're dealing in long beach. it's considerably larger, different consistently. >> crews have picked up enough tar to film a 55-pound drum yesterday. the beach will remain closed at least through saturday morning. good afternoon, everybody. happy thursday. had some rain this morning up in mendocino county, lake county, northern sonoma county. what in the world is going on in june 4th? an area of low pressure moved in. that chewed up some of the low clouds. midwest kind of a pattern here. thundershowers popping up over the sierra. for us later today and the east bay and south bay, i think that's our best opportunity,

cool air -- cooler air associated with this. through the length of the day and the angle of the sun we get 70s and 80s and that will provide a little bit of lift to the atmosphere. that's where we'll get the buildups here. and thundershowers are possible. the low is on its way to southern california. it will hang out there. associated with that, a little bit of a breeze now and then. breezy to windy. the low will give the sierra nevada a lot of activity. we'll be on the northern edge of it after friday and maybe start to get a little bit of a warmup. low clouds and fog look like they will get chewed up. i think they will be back in a big way but maybe not until saturday or sunday. you can see right there that low moving south. as it does, it will take a lot of cool air down to southern california. showers to the north and east later today. temperatures kind of held in check. 60s and 70s. we still have a hurricane. it's blanca south of cabo. baja, la paz.

pretty big drop on wall street today due to the possibility that greece could default on the debts and drop the euro as its currency. also a report that dish networks is talking to t-mobile about a possible merger sent both company's stocks up. taking a live look at the big board, the dow is down 190. the nasdaq is town 46. s&p down 19. apple fans can start counting the minutes until the new watch comes out in stores. the company says certain models will be available in apple stores two weeks from today. apple also says it will be shipping most back-ordered watches by then. the tech giant has not released sales figures for the watch. but says they have surpassed expectations in every way. the san francisco giants made what's becoming a familiar stop today on their east coast road trip about an hour ago.
