traffic. steve paulson has the latest on the weather. >> right now not bad. there is fog on the coast and bay. inland it will be mostly sunny skies. a few high clouds might come cruising off the sierra. a beautiful sunrise over the big city on a friday. here we had temperatures that will be warming up through the interior. they did yesterday and it looks like that trend will continue. although by the coast there is a lot of fog and it's filling in rapidly. so 50s and 60s at best coast and bay or v very low 70s. some of the cloud cover heads back toward us. 50s on the temps. 57 seems rather popular there for livermore and walnut creek. mid 50s everywhere else or low 50s. the water temps cooled off and that means that fog is charging back. the low continues to move off toward the east as it does we're on the drier side of it. few high clouds could develop up in the lake county.

fog along the coast. mostly sunny and a little warmer. some mid to upper 80s for those well away from the coast. yet by it 50s and 60s. 6:01 on a friday. sal how are things? friday light? >> i would say so. much better. yeah steve we are doing okay. there is slow traffic. i don't want to mislead anybody. you will be waiting at the toll plaza a little bit as you come up to the bay gates. about a 15-20 minute delay. the 880 approach is the best. there are no major problems get into san francisco. when you get to the east bay commute, we have been doing very well. this is a look at interstate 880 north and southbound right in front of the oracle arena there. you can see traffic is moving nicely. no major problems there. we're also looking at the rest of the east bay. from hayward to fremont and heading down to the silicon valley. southbound 880 traffic is busy.

we had report of black smoke. 6:02 let's go back to the desk. lebron james had 44 points. a great game for the cavs but it wasn't enough. the warriors start in overtime with a 10-0 run and they ended it with that 108-100 win. >> the adrenaline was flowing

the warriors posted photographs on their instagram page. stars include singer rihanna and marshawn lynch, magic johnson, self-help guru tony robin made an appearance. the selma street food park in san francisco was one of about 30 venues that held official watch parties. the night was truly a win-win. right now here in the bay area the only person more popular than steph curry is his two-year-old daughter riley. look at this. steph walks over to riley and pounds her chest like dad and gives him a kiss as they both point to the sky. let's see it one more time. yeah come on over dad.

the assignment. the student was asked to find their parents private items. other students say the teacher was joking about the whole thing but the teacher is still working. the investigation is expected to conclude next week. berkeley high school is recalling its brand new yearbooks because of an offensive comment printed in them. it's on a page of about one of the college prep programs that enrolls mostly black and latino students. someone changed the word innovators to trash collectors. >> absolutely racist. anyone who thinks someone that is going to study to be a trash collector has some delusion that people are going to apply to college to be that. >> the school is recalling 160 yearbooks. plans to put a positive sticker

over the offensive comment. administrators are trying to track down whoever is responsible and they could face suspension. still ahead the investigation of a child drowning in the east bay. coming up at 6:30 we have the details of a very large police response in concord. >> but first a data breach effecting as many as four million current former u.s. and government employees, the information stolen, and who u.s. officials believe was behind the attack. >> we take a look at the east bay commute and check out highway 4 coming up over the hill at concord at pittsburgh and bay point not too bad. there is slow traffic. we'll run down the commute in this area coming up. >> well almost summertime pattern if you're away from the coast mostly sunny and warmer. by the coast there is a lot of fog. we'll see if that holds into the weekend.

good morning to you. welcome back to mornings on 2. there is a another major data breach to fell you about and millions of federal workers are effected by this one. ktvu fox 2 brian flores is joining us live from the newsroom to tell us who is blamed for this hack attack, brian. >> for many cyber security experts this wasn't a matter of if but when. the main concern is even though an estimated four million current and former government employees may be effected, the extent of this data breach could be much worse.

they targeted the office of personal management which is the human resources department of the federal government. the agency conducts more than 90% of federal background checks for security clearances. reports indicate names, addresses, and social security information were compromised and the information hacking took place in april according to government officials. >> you can just imagine what they would do with this information. it is basically a road map to blackmail the people in the u.s. government with the highest security clearance. >> u.s. officials say the hackers are thought to be based in china. the government sent out notices to potential four million people effected by this and urging them to check their credit reports and bank account statements and the department of homeland security has a

system called einstein which is designed to detect these type of super intrusions. it caught it but it appears it didn't offer enough warning in time. dave, back to you. >> thank you. talk to you later. time is 6:15. san mateo county deputies are searching for a man accused of groping two women on a walking trail near half-moon bay. both incidents happened monday north of half-moon bay along the walking trail. the two women say a man approached them from behind and grabbed them. in both cases the man walked away without hurting the women. now this attacker is described between 20-30 years old with olive skin. about 5'8" with a medium build, black hair, and dark eyes. new technology could keep drunk drivers off the road by sensing their blood alcohol level. federal safety officials say sensors in the car would pick up alcohol levels within one

second. if the drivers blood alcohol is over the .08 limit the car won't start. they hope to get the sensors into cars within five years. hopefully everyone is behaving in their cars. sal is watching the roads and you are jamming to help people get to where they need to go. >> that is right. we are looking at a commute that is not too bad. let's take a look at what we have on this friday morning. the bay bridge toll plaza is just as i would expect it to be. it's backed up for a 15-20 minute delay. once you make it on to the bridge it is a little better. this is a look at southbound 101.

it looks like we could have a stall blocking one of the lanes there. most of the road sensors are showing up green. at 6:17 today's weather. >> we have a summertime pattern here. but over all temperatures climbing today. mendocino county and lake county. northern napa might be similar today. there is really thick fog up in clearlake. high temps for today santa rosa average is 80. palo alto 77 and san jose.

calms down at night but then thunderstorms take off during the afternoon and get a little heating, a little lift. i think we will see that northeast california. there goes our system that daves back in southern california. although again it would favor areas to the north and east. 50s on the temps. everyone is very, very close here. the water temps on monday were warm. bring them down. 57 half-moon bay on monday. now 52 and back to 49 for bodega bay. as long as that cold weather is there and not a north, northeast wind the fog has no problem forming. low clouds favoring the coast.

the owner of nito native of ohio weed that them in. he put out a request on twitter involving lebron and the rest of the team to come out and celebrate at his restaurant. he hasn't received a response but are hoping they will come and grab a bite to eat. the museums of oakland and cleveland they have a friendly bet on the nba finals. if the warriors win, the cleveland museum of art will sponsor a special visit to the oakland museum of california for 100 children of the ymca of the east bay. if the cavaliers win, the oakland museum will sponsor a trip for 100 ohio kids to the cleveland museum. surgeons at california

us. 6:2 2 -- 6:29 is the time. evelyn tweeted us. she was up watching the game and then she was up at 4:00 watching us. >> i hear people telling me i'm up at 4:00, i'm like go back to sleep. >> no we enjoy it. inland temps will be on the warm side yet the fog is really ramping up here. it's more toward the coast but parts of the bay some of that is sneaking in here. as it does, it's very shallow. that tells you high pressure is building in. smashing it down on the ground. but still look at all the gray. it continues to work its way up the sonoma coast. thunderstorms will continue to develop over the sierra. some of that cloud cover blows off in there and heads back toward us. the things will be very, very active over the high country. 50s on the temps. low to mid. not much of a spread here.

the low is too far away for us. but occasionally higher clouds make it. but there is a lot of fog. a big difference in the temps. mostly sunny expect by the coast where we are dealing with a lot of clouds. a few showers maybe north and east. but i doubt it does much here. 80s through the interior. 50s and 60s and 70s on the coast. speaking of staying up this guy was at the game last night. i couldn't have accomplished it without taking a little nap in the middle of the day. i'm still on adrenaline after that one. let's take a look at what we have with the roads. i don't think you will see anything too unusual. as we look at the bay bridge it is backed up. what gives me hope is as we look at the ramp, the 880 ramp you know it well if you use it. it's not that bad. usually when that is really bad, the rest of the commute is an indicator what we are facing. there is a little bit of a slowing.

maybe a 15-20 minute delay. let's move along and take a look at the san mateo bridge, we've had slow traffic here. it's crawling along past the toll plaza. getting on to the span. the rest of the east bay commute doesn't look that bad here as we push out i'm having trouble finding a lot of stop and go traffic which is good. westbound 580 a little slow in the altamont pass but it looks good from livermore to castro valley. 6:32 let's go back to the desk. we have new developments in concord. it's a tough story. we have just found out a one- year-old girl towned in a backyard pool. police are investigating this. ktvu fox 2 janine de la vega is joining us live from concord and you talked to the police. >> reporter: yes, dave. and there is definite -- and this definitely hits officers hard. he tells me he is a father and it is heartbreaking that something like this would happen. contra costa county

firefighters arrived to the scene shortly after 8:00 last night to a home on ridge park lane. and they found that police officers were already performing cpr on the little girl. paramedics took over and she was rushed to a local hospital. they say the child had been in the pool at the home in that neighborhood but we don't have details if the child fell in the pool was in the pool with adults that were swimming. police tell us she was 13 months old. neighbors say their hearts are with the family. >> it broke my heart. it really did. you can't imagine what that family must be going through. an accident like this. it's really sad. >> reporter: police plan on releasing more information about this incident later today. they are in charge of this investigation and the officer that i spoke with says if anything with summer coming up this should serve as a reminder to parents to just keep a very close eye on your children.

especially if they are near a pool, dave. >> all right. janine de la vega, thank you. on to play off news. it has been 40 years since the nba finals have been played in the bay area. last nights game one did not disappoint warriors fans that have been waiting a long time for this. >> good defense gets it back. >> reporter: the warriors got into a 14-point hole at one point but thanks to big contributions andre iguodala. that was despite 44 points from cleveland cavaliers store lebron james. >> over the course of the game i felt like we stuck to the game plan. lebron is going to dominate the ball and make plays and we have to just make it hard on him every potion. don't give him any easy buckets. and not let anybody else get a rhythm. >> we had a lot of break downs.

a couple transition threes they made that we pinpoint. we don't want to get those up. but at the end of the day we gave ourselves a chance. and you know i missed a tough one. but we had so many opportunities to win this game. >> there was more bad news for the cavaliers. irving left the game after hitting his already hurt knee. his status for game two is still up in the air. now the success of the warriors is providing mixed feelings for fan in the east bay. on one hand certainly excited about the team on the court but on the other hand they are worried about the teams future in oakland. paul chambers is in oakland with the bittersweet emotions and you're looking for some response from fans as well, paul. >> reporter: that is correct. i tell you you dubbed it perfectically. a tug of war against a city of oakland and san francisco. a lot of people sounded off where the future home should

be. >> san francisco 49ers already moved out and it upset a lot of fans. a lot of fans were hurt. the golden state warriors move to san francisco. they already announced. that is an extra 10-20 minute drive. that is still happy fans. still the bay area. >> currently steph and curry play at oracle arena. the same year the team changed its name from san francisco to the golden state warriors. the team is looking for a home coming of sorts. the plan is for the team to start its 2018-2019 season back in san francisco in the mission bay neighborhood on a 12-acre plot of land that the team purchased last year. san francisco mayor ed lee is expected to hold a media briefing on the planned move.

santa clara police are searching for a hit and run driver. they released the surveillance video from saturday. it shows a dark suv. then you see the driver back up, he gets out of the car. police say he went over to the victim and walked inside the hospital. the victim lives in santa clara and is expected to recover. a south bay mother is speak out after a -- this allegedly happened in january at the waledden west science camp. now the mother who doesn't want to be identified says her son was alone with the counselor while he was sick at camp. but he says he is innocent and would never touch a child.

morning. this is in colorado. this is in chariton. a sergeant drove into the intersection, the road collapsed. creating that sink hole that about 10-15 feet deep. the sergeant was able to crawl out on to the roof and out of the sink hole but he was take ton the hospital. has since been released. state attorney general kamala harris says her office may file criminal charges against the operator of that pipeline that spilled thousands of gallons of oil along the santa barbara county coast. harris toured the area yesterday. she met with the leaders with about two dozen agencies. she says the crews out there are still working around the clock to restore the environment since that spill 2.5 weeks ago. the family of the terror suspect that was killed we law enforcement officers in boston say they found no sign he had become real callized. now this is the high school yearbook picture of rahim from

2007. he was killed this week at the age of 26 by joint terrorism traffic force after he came at them with large knife. court documents alleged that rahim was planning to kill police officers. rahim's brother is the imam of an oakland mosque. now although initially he said his brother was shot in the back while talk on his cell phone, the family spokesman said he simply did not have all the facts at the time. >> the family is not making any sub cititive claims at this time about what happened in this case. instead, the family is waiting for evidence in order to form a reasoned and informed opinion. >> the spokesman says the district attorneys office has offered to show them the video of the shooting that they plan to do that. let's check in now with tori campbell. see what is coming up on the next hour on mornings on 2.

from pitts burg to bay point. it is a little better. not a lot. you can tell by the long lines that we usually have. when you get to 680 it is still doing okay. this is a look at the bay bridge toll plaza now and the traffic is backed up for a 15- 20 minute delay. 580 livermore you can tell it is lighter. it is a little bit of slowing there and that is about it. 6:48 now let's go to steve. the fog continues to work its way up the coast. it's not solid but it's really filling in.

some of that cloud cover beginning to fire up here so it will be a very crazy day up there with thunderstorms, some of that cloud cover sneaking back toward the north bay and also the east bay but the trend is for mostly sunny weather. the hurricane blanca still a category 2. it's not category 3 or for. but the track over the weekend saturday into sunday should be a tropical storm by then with winds to 60-65 miles an hour. that is strong enough. but at least not 130-140. mostly sunny a little warmer. fog along the coast. i think more cloud cover. 60s to upper 80s go inland for the warmth, go to the coast if

president obama's strong political base here in the bay area. time is 6:55. a pill that is called a female aye viagra. that pill has been approved by a small committee of the fda. it's an experimental drug intended to boost the female sex drive. in the past the panel had rejected it because of safety issues but after listening to testimony from women, the committee changed its mind. >> it impacts the neurotransmitters in the brain that are responsible for sexual desire and enhances their libido and also in studies increases the number of sexual events. >> this pill would need a prescription from a doctor. it could have side effects that include nausea, fainting, and fatigue. final decision is expected by the the end of august. it's being called the most high-tech wedding ever.
