but left a message. >> we try. she is no -- every time you call her she cut the phone. >> reporter: some tenants are fighting back and the landlord is facing legal problems in west hollywood as well. the city's lawsuit creates a story. a story we will follow. tom vacar, ktvu fox 2 news. >> that is something hearing what they are saying. thank you. this afternoon police released the mugshot of a man accused of kidnapping a child from a library in milpitas. police arrested alfonso david edington at the b.a.r.t. station an hour after he took the child. ktvu's ann rubin is in milpitas where she talked to a bus driver who stopped the abduction. >> reporter: alfonso david edington of pittsburg is in custody accused of abducting a

three-year-old. he was apprehended here. authorities say he was carrying the child and they had to pry him away. the driver realized what was going on. >> all the parents that are asking for their child to be brought back home. that came to my mind. they were going to be in front of the camera if he got away with it. >> reporter: authorities believe he took the child from the library in milpitas. he then boarded a bus. the driver says it wasn't the suspect that caught his eye. it was the child. he looked at the alert and then the boy and realized it was a match. >> i hit the break. i said i am looking for a green backpack. i wanted to observe the man. sure enough, the red shoes. >> reporter: authorities say the three-year-old was unharmed and reunited with his family. police credit his quick

thinking. >> bus driver is a hero. >> reporter: he has his training to thank and his experience as a father. >> union i learned this wases an abduction -- once i learned it was an ucduction it hit. i -- abduction it hit. i broke down. >> good for him. a warning warning for people after two women were groped on a trail. the sheriff's department released this sketch of the suspect. he grabbed the women as they walked along the walking trail just north of half moon bay. 20-30-years-old, 5'7" and a medium build. they happened on monday. the first 7:00 a.m. and the second after 6:00 p.m. a family in concord is heartbroken after their baby drowned in a backyard pool. ktvu spoke with the child'

father who asked for prayers. the drowning happened last night at a home. the baby made it out of the house and fell into the pool. the mother discovered the child in the water. emergency crews rushed the child to the hospital but she didn't make it. police are investigating the death which they are calling a tragic accident. an important reminder of the steps to keep children safe. keep children under active supervision at all times and stay within arm's reach. designate a person to watch the water when people are in the pool and never allow anyone to swim alone and secure your pool with barriers. for the second time this sees a 49er is re-- sees an 49er is retiring. anthony davis olympians to retire -- plans to refrom the

-- retire from the nfl. he was in the middle of a 5 year, $37 million contract. back in march chris borland retired after his rookie season. he retired because of his concerns about the effects of head trauma. in a letter anthony davis wrote after a few years of thought i decided it would be best to take a year away from the nfl. this will be a time to allow my brain and body a chance to heal. i know many won't understand my decision, that is okay. a thrilling over time vict are a last night for the -- victory last night for the golden state warriors. game two is sunday night at oracle arena. today we learned the cavs will be without kyrie irving. he is out after breaking his knee cap. if the warriors win the championship it will be their first time in 40 years. fans are focused on the series but leaders in san francisco

are focused on the future home of the warriors and today they released their findings about the proposed site in mission bay. not everyone is happy about it. ktvu's cristina rendon with the latest on what they are saying. >> reporter: it may not look like much now but this dirt is the proposed site of the golden state warriors arena in san san san san francisco's mission bay district. >> there is a lot of excitement in the neighborhood. >> good they will be here. but the traffic is going to be bad. >> reporter: the city released a report of the product. it will seat 18,000 people, a fracture of at&t park and a 5- acre park and the city looked at worse case scenarios should a concert or warriors game over lap with the giants. why the city plans to use revenue to invest 40 million

a bill to make truck drivers safer would require drivers to take safety corgs in addition to -- courses in addition to the tests they already take. california has 3,000 accidents a year involving big rigs. the california trucking association backs the bill. it has been approved by the senate. it would knee offered through -- be offered through private

companies. beaches are back open in southern california after they were covered by tar balls. long beach opened the beaches today. tar balls washed ashore. clean up crews have been scooping up tar. the tar washed up on manhattan and redondo beaches. scientists are working to learn whether they came from the oil spill off the coast of santa barbara. a ruptured pipeline spilled 20,000 gallons of oil into the ocean. exxon mobil wants to use tankers to haul oil through santa barbara county while it is out of commission. >> tough to see all the oil on it beautiful beaches. >> and the wildlife. our chief meteorologist is off, mark tamayo is filling in. nice out there. >> yeah. typical june day. low clouds and fog. seems like the constant. but then warming inland.

lots of mid-80s inland. it is june and that means fair time. rosemary orozco is at the san mateo county fair that begins tomorrow. hasn't had dinner yet but having great diverts out there. -- deserts out there. >> yeah. we had a taste of the funnel cakes, the rides, the entertainment will be great. these students, 200 of them, bringing their animals in. they raised these little ones and then as they get older they become beautiful and we are looking at this goat here who will be not only up for show but he may earn a ribbon. some of these animals go to market, some are for breeding. let's take a look at a few more of these animals. there are all sorts. from small kick toons the very -- kickens to the very large --

chicken to the very large guys to the left. they bring them in. they have names. they tell you when they were born. they tell you about them. i hear that they raise these animals in addition to the animals winning prizes the students win prizes based on showmanship. this will be going on for several days. it is worth coming out to see. this is just one area, of course. a lot of the stuff is already set up. opening day is tomorrow. this is something that is going on today. the san mateo county fair starts tomorrow. runs through the 14th. so come and check it out. back to you. >> great. thank you. lots of excitement there and for this weekend, if you are heading out saturday, low clouds and fog for the morning but then it will be partly cloudy. sunday will be warmer. sunday the warmest day of the weekend.

and the fair runs through june 14. a week from sunday. as far as weather, tracking showers towards the sierra. down pours around highway 50 towards placerville. you can see all the activity with the lightning strikes. we have low clouds and fog near the coast line here. the clouds hugging the shoreline from point reyes and half moon bay as well. warm inland, livermore and concord, lower 80s. san francisco 61. and half moon bay in the upper 50s. forecast, the plan for saturday, we start out with areas of fog and then clouds clear back to the shoreline. 50s at 7:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. 60s, 70s. warmest locations low 80s. we are tracking this area of low pressure. producing all the active weather. the thunderstorms across the state. that will move out. towards nevada over the weekend. as a result we will warm things back up into sunday and monday.

for tomorrow no big changes. cool temperatures for the beaches. inland, lower 80s. here is the source of the warming. high pressure returns. the two hottest days of the week, especially inland, monday and tuesday and that will translate to lower 90s. we are waking up to the gray tomorrow morning, possibly drizzle towards san francisco. half moon bay. santa rosa patchy dense fog and partly cloudy skies as well. inland clouds clear back for the afternoon hours. partly cloudy skies here. but then more sunshine for concord and livermore and those areas back up into the 80s for tomorrow afternoon. and sunday will be warmer than saturday. santa rosa 75. concord 80. san francisco 64. more neighborhoods for you, san jose upper 70s. gilroy 79 degrees. here is your five-day forecast, same deal for tomorrow as today and then we warm up, especially away from the coast line for

complete you make me feel. i promise to grow old with you. [ music ] >> the ceremony was the work of a group called wish upon a wedding which does this for free for terminally ill people. >> i took care of preparing my own funeral. >> reporter: in 2011 she learned she had one year to live -- >> i was shocked. i didn't think i would get lung cancer because i never smoked. >> reporter: she was recording a video for her children that the they could watch years later. >> i did everything i could to fight. to be there for them. [ music ] >> reporter: but she outlived her prognosis by three years. >> i am so grateful for that. due to a great team of doctors.

>> experimental cancer treatments. that is the happy couple 10 years ago and now the whole family is here. what happened four years ago added new meaning to their vows. >> it is an amazing journey. she is like unbelievable. >> still in the back of my mind but i don't let it lead my life, i don't let it stop me from doing what i want. [ indiscernible ] >> i think it is good for them. i think it is good. like a victory. she is still here. it teaches you to fight and live life every day to the fullest. governor jerry brown visited the south bay to talk about water conversation. he praised santa clara county for doing their part to meet the goals. and he supports efforts by leaders to recycle toilet water into drinking water. that is something that is being done in southern california. he will do what he can to make that happen. >> whatever we can do to facilitate reclaiming and reusing water we are for. if we can help with more i will push that very hard. >> the governor is expected to visit southern california next week to talk about the drought there. one of the cavaliers stars out. coming up next in sports hear from steve kerr on his opinion on playing without their number two man.
