for tonight's game against the cavaliers. scott reese is back on the streets with another edition of "know your opponent." turns out the only thing warriors fans need to know about the cavaliers is whether or not we can beat them. >> reporter: warrior fans are pretty knowledgable about the grizzlies and rockets and now it's the nba finals edition of know your opponent. when was the last time the cavaliers won an nba title? >> i believe it was -- >> 1973. >> . in buzzer] >> 19-64? >> [buzzer] >> never. >> that is correct. >> thank you. >> reporter: the cavs have a guy named smith and jones on the roster. how many smiths and jones' are there total in the nba? >> wow. >> probably about 50? >> [buzzer] 48 [buzzer] >> 11. >> [buzzer] >> you think so? it's a common last name.
7:22 am
>> 14. >> that's the closest, the answer is 10. >> 10! i said 10! >> reporter: follow-up question. how many shumperts are there in the nba? >> one. >> two. >> one is correct. >> reporter: name the only u.s. president to serve two terms in office separated by another president? >> oh -- yeah -- ronald reagan. [buzzer] >> bush [buzzer] >> abe lincoln of course. >> cleveland -- cleveland. >> that is correct. >> see you what we did there? >> name the dance club in the miami marlins baseball stadium. >> they are called the dancing marlins. >> i have no clue. >> cleveland cavaliers. [buzzer] >> a clevelander? >> reporter: last question is a visual question. what kind of animal is this? >> a stupid one. >> a loser.
7:23 am
>> fine. >> a wolf. [buzzers] >> a dog/bear. >> probably a dog. >> reporter: you got it. you are the first guy that recognized moon dog. what did we learn? i guess every dog has his day. even to f that dog kind of resem -- if if that dog kind of resembles a bear. one other thing we'll learn, the cavaliers not good enough to beat the warriors. >> thank you. allie rasmus is on the set talking with representative from the nba about how to watch out for counterfeit goods and how to make sure you're getting your money's worth. >> reporter: we've all seen the pop-up warriors paraphernalia stands. if you're in the market for warriors gear look out for counterfeit goods. the nba finals is a prime time for people hoping to get you to spend big bucks on something that may not hold up next
7:24 am
season. i have with me a representative from the nba in town. you are on the lookout for some of these counterfeit items. > that's right. we wanted to tell fans about what to look for. >> let's play a little game. what is counterfeit and what is not? we have samples. i first saw this pile and my inclination was to say this was official because it has this metallic sticker. >> no, it's not. if you compare this to this cap, here are the things to look for, one, you want to look at the overall quality. so when you actually take a closer look at the two items the sting and coloring is far superior here. you want to look for a holeo graphic sticker to show it's authentic. look for a license label like this. those are the things to look for. that's the authentic one. >> the hollow gram stickers are also on the shirts? >> yes, you have a hollow graphic sticker here. on this one you have a
7:25 am
holographic hang tag. there's a holographic sticker at the bottom there. you have licensee information on the neck label here and here. >> how do you make the case to consumers who are saying hey, i just want to buy something inexpensive to commemorate the playoffs? how do you convince them maybe not to buy something -- >> great question. really, we feel if you can inform consumers they can make the best decision. so if you knew that the counterfeit items would bleed in the wash or that the threat count is so low that after a few washes it gets thread-bare then you know, if it looks did -- if it's too good to be true it probably is >> this this time of year, as we get into the finals there are -- undercover investigators from the nba, from law enforcement looking around for this. >> that's right. we work with local investigators and we also work with law enforcement including homeland security investigations. so they can identify product and we help them with that
7:26 am
process. so if you look at this counterfeit item here's a tell tale sign. there's a split neck label here. what that means is, it's a factory rejected shirt. so it's not the same quality, same standard that i mentioned earlier. if you look at the overall quality of the colors here, it's not the same. so there's no holographic sticker or hang tag. the neck label here is just generic. >> thank you very much for coming in an talking to us about it. back to you. >> thank you very much. encouraging news about the fan that was hit by a bat at an as red sox game. what are doctors saying now about her injuries? >> and baby charlotte. these are her first official photographs. touching photos snapped by the duchess of cambridge.

7:36 am
because you can't forget they did beat atlanta twice without him. >> yeah, but they are still not the team they were with irving. i mean he's objectively their second best player. he's a player that lebron needs for cleveland to reach their potential. i just don't see any way that cleveland can win this series -- i mean we're talking about the warriors, the worst six- game stretch they've had all season is 3-3, so now the under manned cleveland cavaliers have to beat 4-6, that will be a tall order. this injury really hurts cleveland. i don't think anybody is celebrating from the warriors' side just yet. >> no. i'm pretty sure that kerr had a talk saying you can't let up. this is not something that we're going to change our game plan. in fact we're going to play a little bit better because there might be a letdown. do you think he's telling them that is -- not to let up? >> i think so. the message is forget about the

7:38 am
on which jr smith shows up too. he's been streaky, he's had some great games. he can be a great player but he wasn't a great player the other night. >> no, he struggled, missed some shots one thing cleveland is going to have to do is make some three-pointers in this series and they didn't really do that in game one. they are fighting an uphill battle but as sal said if i know steve kerr he's putting irving's injury out of the warriors' heads and they are not thinking about that. >> you you expect golden state warriors that started the first quarter to come out today? or do you expect the team that played great in the second, third, fourth in overtime in game one? >> i wanted to asksteinm -- steinmetz this question. does one game count as experience in are those jitters gone? >> i don't know if they are altogether gone but i think when you play in your first finals game, it's not pressure, it's just a little tension, feels like a little bigger
7:39 am
game. feels a little different but i do think now that they have one game under their belt, especially because they won, that takes away a little bit of their pressure. i think we're going to see warriors resembling the team they were in the beginning of the season. >> i think a lot of coaching, a lot of it is mental. when it come down to it it's just another basketball game. the warriors have been a good basketball team up until this very point. if steve kerr and obviously he's getting the message to them this is babble game. let's just -- basketball game. let just keep moving forward. >> jitters everywhere. it's not easy for fans when you're a favorite. it's easier to cheer when you're and underdog almost. >> do you know anything about santana maybe making an

good morning. giving you a live look there towards the bay bridge. can't see it this morning. we have fog. those low clouds and fog beginning to clear out of the way. we have a warm-up coming for the afternoon. i will detail those numbers in a bit. game day for the warriors as they prepare to face the cavaliers in game two with game one already in the bag fans hope to be a step closer to the championship after tonight. >> sal castaneda and matt steinmetz hanging out at oracle arena. do you think the warriors will double team lebron? they didn't really do that but with kyrie irving gone, or do you think coach kerr is going to keep it as he did with barnes and iguodala just
8:44 am
playing one-on-one? >> i think they will stay with what worked in the first game. they have a bunch of guys that they can try to guard lebron with, whether thampson, even green. i think they are going to stay with that philosophy because there's one less player, one less real quality player lebron can throw the ball to. they may do a little more double teaming but i think steve kerr shows he stays with what has worked. >> let's talk about the injury. a lot of fans talking about -- they are bummed out too just because they don't want anyone questioning the quality of the warriors and that they can beat the cavs, even though it's not full strength. do you think it takes away from everything, to have everyone talking about the injury and maybe that the cavs are not at full strength? >> yesterday a sports writeer from tampa said if the warriors end up winning this it will come with an asterisk. i don't believe that. but people have mentioned it. he said it's because the cavs are without, not only one but a
8:45 am
couple of their best players. so -- that's been mentioned. i think the warriors fans are just happy if they get a championship. at this . they can't be picky. >> i don't think -- i think it's something people are talking about now. but i say, once the series is over, that's the kind of thing that is forgotten about. the finals are -- has a history of players missing because of injury. i don't think there'sing if took asterisk because, the warriors won more games in the regular season than anyone else. they belong here obviously. the fact that one team is not at full strength, that happens sometimes. >> that is just basketball. just sports. >> when you think back on game one, if lebron james makes that shot at the end of regulation the warriors, even without, finding themselves down one, do you think that golden state comes out firing tonight? >> i would like to think so. i think there's two ways they can go. they can kind of feel good because kyrie irving is out. i don't think that is their nature.
8:46 am
i think there are going to go for the jugular now and try to put this series in a 2-0 hole for cleveland. if that happens then we're talking about cleveland needing the win, 4 out of 5, i think that is unrealistic. i think warriors know it's a key game tonight. >> when teams start pressing, if you're down 2-0 the cavs may start playing differently. it's interesting, you haven't mentioned that the warriors owner had to move away from rihanna, matt because she was cheering for lebron the whole time. he was sitting next to her. he had to move away. >> of all the moves that joe has made -- that was one of the boldest moves ever. moving away from rihanna. shows what kind of fan he is. >> what is your prediction in terms of tonight in the series? are you predicting four, people obviously want to -- 5?
8:47 am
>> if you ever listen to the sal and steiny podcast, we made a bit out of this, we hate predictions, especially in basketball it's so hard to predict the way a player is going to come out and play, with that said i have to like the warriors chances obviously with one of their best players down. you hate to say it but with kyrie irving not on the team i think you have to like the warriors' chances. >> i'm ready to make a prediction after the kyrie irving injury, i think the warriors are going to win the series. >> there you go, just win. >> better safe than sorry, you know what i mean? >> thank you very much. have a good game tonight. let's head now to rosemary for a check of how things are shaping up. it's shaping up to be a gorgeous day. that yellow sun is going to be beating down on us. >> blazing over some areas. we have our summertime pattern beginning to settle in. where we have 60s at the coast. near 90 inland. at least you have choices depending on the type of
