camera kneeling on the girl and pointing his gun at other teens. >> he pulled his gun out on a 15-year-old girl. >> a homeowner thought the officers safety was at risk. a new rule to standardize traffic policies in california is expected to be approved today. people who want to contest the ticket they should pay the fine first to give a court date. if they are found not guilty they will be issued a refund. san francisco doesn't require you to pay up-front. the new rules will allow all drivers not to pay up-front. some newer model cars out their right now are coming close to being driverless.

we tested out a 2016 volvo with the latest driver assist technology. the cameras work hand in hand with a state-of-the-art computer. tom tried it out on a jammed freeway using only the push buttons. >> slowing down, breaking on, i'm not touching it volvo accelerates. breaks follows by breaks. >> some say this time of driver assist stops the use of back and forth accelerate and break. this also has lane keeping tech notify that will keep you in the lane. >> that could make rush hour more bareble. >> that seems nerve wracking.

over. we may not see, i'm stalling to see if we'll see a car come through here. i don't think we are. traffic is moving along well. this is the toll plaza which is also light. >>reporter: some of that fog you just saw will be compressed. along the bay some warm air will smash that down on the deck. it could be really thick. highway one and the golden gate bridge. temperatures, well, they are getting pretty warm. 51 half moon bay. the east bay will be out in front. there is till a bit of a delta breeze. it's not that strong. there is fog on the coast. not all of it is showing up here. some of that fog is very shallow.

the fog is really not going anywhere. it won't benefit on a northeast breeze. the higher clouds will move into the picture starting tomorrow. one low moves out. record rainfall in phoenix at .03. ocean temperatures came up a tiny bit. 70 is riding at 73. so for most, unless you are right by the coast or central sierra it will be a heat advisory. the sinking air and warming will take place. if we had the offshore breeze it will be increed by warm. the coast and bay is not in on this. a lot of the remains are moving past baja.

a lot of that moisture will move north. there is a low hanging back here and that will tap into that. some of that moisture will move in today and not tomorrow. clouds will come in on tuesday. possibility of hit and miss showers. fog near the cost but it will be nice for some and hot for others. temperatures will be nice for some. it's all going to be hot. morgan hills temperatures 90. santa rosa 90. today if you are away from the coast. pretty toasty. >> thank you dave. let's take a look at wild wither from iowa.

you can see what experts say is a shelf cloud. lightning lit up the sky as well. severe weather rolled through the state as well. republican lawmakers are pushing to increase logging in the national forest. this time some of their proposals is getting attention from the white house. droughts kill off half the trees and they say they need some kind of work to cut wildfire and diseased trees. congress is proposing taking down dead trees and thinning millions of acres. some white house democrats are opposed to the idea which will have it's first vote on wednesday. a woman injured by a broken baseball bat continues to recover. why this accident could have

man killed when his bike collided with a car. his name was donald. he was a avid biker and in the bike polo scene. he was riding home from a bike polo event when he collided with a police car. police are still investigating how the crash happened. the family of a woman injured by a broken bat at finway park are thanking everyone for their prayers. the woman remains in a boston hospital in serious condition. he was hit in the head by third basemans broken bat. she's expected to survive. a go fund me account has been set up to help her through her recovery. more than $3,000 has been raised. fox sports reports that this

may have been avoided if the players request for extranetting would have been listened to they rejected the proposal saying it would takeaway from the experience of the fans. this is it. the day the women's u.s. soccer team has been preparing for. they kickoff their world cup run. they held a final practice yesterday. that game starts at 4:30. they enter the tournament as it second ranked team in the world and looking for a third title. the u.s. national soccer team is down playing the arrest of one of their biggest stars. hope was arrested for domestic violence in june of last year.
