second. san jose has thick fog, as well. black diamond at 1,600 feet, the backside of mount diablo .59. martinez .32. sfo .26. oakland airport has a record .18 and san rafael with .17. the rain was here yesterday and like that, it is gone. we could have reduced visibility with the fog in place now for some. 40s to 60s, the lows down 2 to 10 degrees for system. the system is moving into the four corner, the high pressure will move in and we will get a warm up away from the coast, a good 15 degrees for some. 80s and 90s for some and 60s and 70s for others. sal, we have fog out there. are you seeing anything on the bridges? >> some of the bridges are especially foggy, steve. in fact, right now traffic will be a little slower across

some of the spans because it is so foggy. people are advised to take it easy out there. there is a back up at the toll plaza of 20 minutes before you make it onto the bridge. it may be hard to see along the coast. please drive careful. i don't think it will be as bad as it was yesterday when it was wet, but it will be slower than usual. 880 has traffic volume light and not a lot going on here. at the south bay, the road temperatures in san jose right now is 280 and 85 with most of the roads, including those, doing well. where you see the red are the first signs of traffic. there is a little red on the northbound 101 after the 280 interchange, but nothing major yet. >> thank you, sal. we begin with a topping story we have been following

all -- with a developing story we have been following all morning in san francisco. we will looking for a third suspect wanted in connection with an early morning armed robbery. ktvu tara moriarty is there. what did you learn about the two suspects now in custody? >> reporter: officers say after the robbery the suspect actually shot himself accidently in the leg. that is why there is a trail of blood leading from the scene of the crime down to where we are standing here at 23rd and bartlet. this was a street robbery gone wrong. around 3:00 police say two men approached another man on valencia street and 23rd. police say they pointed a gun at his head and demanded his wallet, cell phone and other personal items. police were on patrol at the time and noticed something suspicious. >> they actually saw the suspects running and were able to use their police intuition, if you will, and apprehended the suspects. >> reporter: luckily the victim

was not harmed. police found a semi-automatic machine gun dumped behind a fence nearby on bartlet. the suspect with the gunshot wound is being treated at san francisco general hospital and there is possibly a third suspect. police are conducting interviews and we will keep you posted on what we hear. tara moriarty, live here in san francisco. back to you. at 6:04, police in hayward are releasing details on what they call the biggest marijuana bust in the city's history. the raid happened on diablo avenue last thursday. officers seized 13,000 marijuana plants with a street value of $16 million. while police would not disclose the exact address of the warehouse the news crews said it was not hard to find. they spotted a building where outdoor security cameras were ripped from the wall mount and an intense smell of marijuana outside the facility.

inside officers found a sophisticated ventilation system and a network of wires that tapped into the electrical grid. officers call the operation a 24/7 marijuana factory. >> from the beginning of seedling, to growing it to packaging it for sale on the street. it is a factory. they grow it, package it and sell it on the street. >> police arrested three men, ages 21, 22 and 28, facing charges of felony cultivation and distribution. park homes are favorite spots for in-home grow operations, with few neighbors. deputies found 19 greenhouses with nearly 5,000 plants? another raid. they are estimated there at $7 million in plants and covered piles of debris and environmental violations. no one was there on the

property when officers moved in. in the nba finals the crucial game for the warriors, finding themselves down two games to one in the series. they got in a groove tuesday night but could not get it done in the end. well, they are dealing with that guy, lebron james. he scored more points in three games than anybody in the nba finals history. >> a similar situation, but a different team. you have to adjust according. the mission is we have to win game four, go home, even up the series and take it from there. >> we are not saying we will come out and make every shot. who knows. shots may fall, they may not, but i am willing to bet our efficiency level is better each time they go in. >> you tell them.

the game starts, game 4 at 6:00 tonight. game 5 is back at oracle arena in oakland sunday at 5:00 bottom. if necessary game 6 could be in cleveland on tuesday. we have live reports from cleveland all week. joe will join us at 6:30 this morning. bart is scheduled to suspend service again this weekend between the oakland coliseum and the fruitevale station but officials say it will be back up and running in time for sunday's game 5. the fans are encouraged to take bart to go to the game. pa bart expenses service to be running -- expects service to be running by 8:00 sunday morning. if is series goes to a 7th

game there could be a bit of a traffic nightmare in oakland. a game 7, if there is one, would be at 6:00 p.m. next friday, june 19th. the very same night after the warriors game begin, the oakland a's will be hosting the angels. it is also fireworks night, always a big attraction that could mean about 60,000 people all trying to get to the same place well, people in danville are upset after people vancouvered a memorial. ktvu alex savage is there to talk about the damage done. >> reporter: good morning to you. a lot of anger about what happened at this memorial in oak hill park in danville. let me show you what things looked like this morning. you can see probably here on the ground crews have done what they can to scrub off some of the paint left behind by the

vandals. danville police say over the weekend someone spray painted the war memorial nestles in the trees. there were four spots where a memorial was painted and in one case vandals made reference to an anti-government website and wrote in one spot the phrase "let's get high." the man who created the memorial 20 years ago calls this act of vandalism despicable. >> if you have a bone to pick with the united states government about its policy, you can protest. you have the right to do that, but when you disrespect the men and women that defend this country every single minute of the day, i have a huge problem with that. >> reporter: investigato rs believe the vandals were here at this memorial some time on sunday night. police are going over surveillance video from the park. there are a number of surveillance cameras. we saw them as we walked here to the memorial through the park. they are looking at the video for potential clues to identify who was involved here.

is being questioned, saying he may have picked up the escaped clinton prisoners in up state new york. richard matt and david sweat are still on the run and people in the areas are being warned to keep homes locked and lights on. overnight police closed down a state highway near the new york prison and are checking trunks of all cars passing through. people living in the area are being told lock your door, turn off the outside house lights. a school district is closed today because of those escaped inmates. the u.s. state department says an american man has been fighting along kurdish forces in syria. 36-year-old keith broomfield of massachusetts died last week in a battlal in aian village. this is a photo of broomfield

from his facebook page. a friend says he went to syria a foot months ago to fight against isis after being inspired. he is the first american believed to have died effect fighting against isis. the james adroga act is due to inexpire in october. it provided health benefits for first responders who came from all over the nation in response to the 9/11 tragedy. more than 4 thousand people now have been -- 4,000 people now have been documented with cancer linked to their work on ground zero. the hearing will begin in about an hour from now. novato police have a man in custody in connection with the arson that caused more than $100,000 in damage to a car dealership. police arrested john allen bixler yesterday, accused of

setting four cars on fire at a car dealership on redwood road monday night. the video shows the suspect setting the cars on fire and walking across the street. two cars were completely destroyed. he is bookd in jail on suspicious of arson and violating the terms of probation. and victory against nighttime demonstrations had 100 protestors last night rallies in downtown oakland. the can cal reports no con front -- chronicle reports no confrontation with police as police skipped the event. last night at 9:30 organizers declared victory. they will hold another rally tomorrow to demonstrate against the shooting of a 30-year-old man by oakland police during a dispute last saturday. the city of san francisco expanding its police force because of an increase of car

burglaries and car thefts. because of a slowdown on hiring there are 1,700 officers on the force, down from 2,000 officers the city is supposed to have. there is now a proposal to raise the number of police officers to at least 2,200. however the extra officers would cost an extra $40 million in salary alone. it is 6:17. >> yes. >> sal, we are talking about the traffic jams tomorrow. >> yes. >> all the bay area bands. >> yes. all kind of bands. i know i will have too many requests to play all of them, but we will choose from your lists that you get us on social media. all right. let's take a look at what we have now. traffic is okay. better than yesterday but the dense fog is an issue. visibility may be low.

westbound 580 near north flynn had a car fire. traffic busy on the altamonte pass. moderate in livermore to the pleasantton area then it gets better on the way to castro valley. traffic is slower on the bridge. add extra time. 25 to 30 minute delays at the toll plaza. 101 northbound is beginning to slow down on the way to 880 in san jose. we don't have any major crashes but a lot of the traffic is beginning to show up in the valley. 6:18. steve, what is going on in the weather center? >> it is not just san francisco but the bay area tomorrow? >> yes. bay area artists. >> all right. i have a lot of fog left bind here from yesterday's system. the rain is -- left behind here from yesterday's system. the rain is gone but it was

impressive totals. the fog will lift but it is down on the ground for some reducing visibility. inland it probably won't matter. in san francisco not one drop of rain in january, the first time ever that happened, and in june picked up .11. incredible. here is black diamond, 6,900 feet. concord with good rain. lifer mother .32. sfo .26. oakland .18. oakland downtown had one, as well. .17 in san jose. more rainfall records, as well from reno. in antioch 15 to 20 minutes ago clear and no wind. 61 degrees. yesterday .72 and it rained three quarters of an inch. impressive! the system zoomed out of here with a perfect set up for some.

our system has moved out fast. 60s and 50s and a few 40s, much cooler than a good 24 hours ago. 10 degrees cooler in concord than it was. 7 in santa rosa. the low move into the four corners and rockies now. 60s and 70s in the interior, 50s on the coast. the fog, though, is here and our system as it moves down, the high pressure is on its way in and inland temperatures will zoom up. the system is out for now but it did its job. the main moves east. thick fog. be careful. inland the temperatures will jump up, 80s and 90s for some. sunshine and warmer

then a month before that someone took a panel from another porch in the same neighborhood. two days earlier fremont police said a person took a package from a home on gannon terrace. if you have any information on the cases, contact the police department. a bay area man is begging the irs for help after he received three big tax refund checks. he says he hadn't even filed his tax return yet when he got a refund check for more than $74,000. he called the irs and returned the check. a couple of weeks later he received another check for $4,800. he thinks identity thieves filed tax returns using his information. he believes part of the fraudulent refund was sent to them and the rest came to him. >> i again contacted the irs. i let them know. they assured me they received

my documentation, application of identity theft and we would probably be done. >> a couple days ago, however, he received a third check, this time for $36,000. he called the irs again and officials told him they can't do anything until he files his tax return. he says he can't do that until he receives required forms and that won't be until this fall. he worries that by that time the trail of the i.d. thieves may be cold. the city of san leandro welcomes another craft brewery today. the 21st amendment brewery will hold a ribbon cutting at 10:30 this morning to open a facility on the williams industrial park. the $30 million facility is the brewery headquarters. this will be the third mainly craft brewery and san leandro. dozens of high powered weapons and bombs seized from south san francisco homes.

the coliseum. 58 o0 westbound from the -- 580 westbound at the altamonte pass a pleasant drive. 84, however is thick from the 680 interchange to highway 84. back to the desk. developing news right now in the san francisco mission district. an armed robbery suspect is in the hospital. police say he accidentally shot himself. he is one of two people now in custody. ktvu tara moriarty joining us live in the mission district. you talked to police about how they made the arrest. good morning. >> reporter: well, officers noticed some men running down the street so they chased them for a block. that is when they noticed one man be accidentally shot himself in the leg and that is why there is a trail of blood. crime scene investigators are out here now. police tell us this is definitely a robbery gone wrong. around 3:00 that manager officers believe two men approached another man on

valencia street and 23rd and pointed a semi-automatic machine gun in his face. they stole a cell phone, wallet and other items. police happened to be patrolling in the area and quickly caught them, then discovered the weapons. >> there was a semi-automatic. i still haven't seen the complete gun itself. it was dumped over a fence. it is there. a gun. very powerful gun, so we are very fortunate no one was injured or even killed in this situation here. >> reporter: the victim was not harmed. the suspect with the gunshot wound is being treated at san francisco general hospital. there is possibly a third suspect. police are conducting interviews right now and we will let you know what we hear. live from san francisco, i am tara moriarty. back to you. >> thank you, tara. talk to you later. thank you. a disturbing discovery at san jose state university last night when a woman's body was found in a parking garage.

ktvu janine de la vega has new information this morning about the police investigation now under way. janine? >> reporter: pam, yes, the scene is cleared now but let me show you the parking garage where the body was found. it is attached to the student services center. at this point police are not saying whether the disceased woman was a student or not. san jose state police. >> reporter: notified before 9:00 last night a body was on the ground in the garage at 10th and san fernando. police had the scene roped off for hours as they invested. they are -- investigated. they are not calling it a homicide yet but a death investigation. they would not get into details of whether there was something suspicious or weapons nearby. students are now left with lots of questions. >> i didn't know last night there was a body found here in this garage. it does concern me a little because i live here. i have never seen that much

activity at once. >> reporter: police tell me it doesn't appear the witnesses saw what happened to the woman briar to her death. the coroner will examine the body for a cause of death. they are in the process of identifying her and reaching out to relatives. san jose police are behind closed-doors looking at evidence and piecing this together. we are hoping to speak with a captain to give us more details exactly on what happened, if they can say anything more about the circumstances surrounding this. pam? >> we will check back in with you in a little bit for that update. thank you, janine. >> reporter: okay. 6:35 is the time today. new water restrictions take place in vallejo. irrigation and landscaping will be limited to three days a week from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. drinking water will not be allowd in fountains. penalty warnings will be handed out for first time violators to

playing tonight in game 4, the warriors trailing in the series now 2 games to 1. one thing the warriors will have to concern themselves with is a guy until now considered a bit player, but now you have to call him a co-store. matthew dell have a doe have a, not shy about going on the floor for loose balls or going into the seats after balls. . the guy who hounded steph curry. he was so exhausted after game three they had to hospitalize him for dehydration. they give him. d.s, released -- i.v.s, released him and now he is said to be back in today's game. he is part of the st. marys connection, the all-time leading scorer in saint mary's history. he has his jersey retired hanging in the rafters there.

tonight's game four starts at 6:00 tonight. game 5 is back at oracle arena on sunday at 5:00. if necessary game 6 would be in cleveland on tuesday. starting next month driving on san francisco's busy market street could get even more difficult. next week city transportation officials are expected to approve a new rule that would ban drivers from turning on to market between 3rd and 8th streets. the changes are part of an ongoing effort to raise traffic and improve pedestrian and bike safety. market street has the city's four most dangerous intersections. the new rules would only apply to private vehicles. buses and taxis would be exempt, but not uber and lyft cars, though. drivers would fail to comply could face town $3,800 in fines. coming up, we will tell you about a chp investigation into an incident where a grandfather accidentally killed his 6-year-old granddaughter.

. welcome back to mornings on 2. it is 6:43. evacuations are in affect because of a fire in the shasta- trinity national forest. the fire burned about 750-acres and is the largest of several smaller fires sparked by lightning strikes from storms that moved through the area earlier this week. here are some of the pictures near the fire. you can see the brown smoke in the air there. fire officials say they have been able to contain many of the other fires to less than five acres. two firefighters suffered heat- related injuries. and as san francisco gets ready for this month's gay pride celebration, the up coming supreme court ruling, the one on same-sex marriage, is on everybody's mind. there was a kick off pride for sf pride's 45th year on the roof of the lgbt center late last night. the parade is on sunday, june

28th. quince dentally the supreme court ruling on the same-sex marriage -- coincidentally the supreme court's ruling on the same-sex marriage ban is also expected the end of this month. >> it is monumental. >> i think there is some degree of anxiety, for same sex couples around the country and families, there is a lot of auction about wondering if teams will-lot of anxiety about wondering if our families will be recognized as legal. >> either june 29th or june 3rd are the dates expected for the supreme court to come to a decision but organizers of the parade hope the decision will come before that and it is a ruling they can celebrate at the parade but for now it is wait and see. well, ash carter announced new protections for the gay and lesbian military.

week with a baby they helped deliver in the back of an ambulance. on monday morning the baby's parents called 9-1-1 when they realized they would not make it to the hospital in time on their own. so, the firefighters picked them up. but it still wasn't fast enough for baby frank mendes, jr. he arrived on highway 101 about 15 minutes into the ambulance ride to the hospital. look at those cheeks. firefighters say little frank was born with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, but there were trained paramedics all around and they knew what to do. >> this is a special day for the family and we are pleased to be part of it. >> and the firefighters have a couple of gift ifs are the baby when she -- gifts when they see him, including toys and an honorary uniform. they say he already has experience with an ambulance and is on track to become a firefighter
