warming up again, not on the coast though. any fog this morning burned off pretty quick. it settled in the 60s. started to warm up quick. 90 in livermore. it is warmer yet 59 half-moon bay. santa rosa 82. mimi gish says it's warming up. oakland 6, hayward 7, concord 3. it is very shallow. it is starting to burn off the coast. really thick, thick, thick. you can see parts of western san francisco and along the santa cruz coast. we are going the see that fog linger here and play into a

cooler forecast. we'll have that coming up in about ten minutes. >> all right. thanks. prosecutors say they charged four people that we first told you about in may. they include the teenaged son of the homeowner. you can see two men with knives going room by room and trying to break down a door. the 17-year-old son helped plan the invasion of his father east house with criminal street gang members. they are facing robbery and burglary with gang enhancements. surprising new information about a prison employee who may have helped two convicted killers escape. a law enforcement source says they were planning to provide transportation to the killers but changed her mind at the last minute. she also allegedly brought tooled to help him get out. >> reporter: the search stretches into the 7th day. sweat and matt on the run after

breaking out of the correctional facility in northern new york state last weekend. >> our priority is to get these two men into custody. hopefully they don't harm anyone outside of our community. >> the two leaving behind this note after using power tools to cut through steel walls. investigators questioning prison employee joyce mitchell who had befriended them. the clinton county district attorney says she did not provide the tools but did bring other contraband into the facility. >> each day we are learning more and more information as far as what her involvement was and what her relationships were with matt and sweat. from that we are dropping leads that we continue to investigate. >> reporter: authorities focusing on a wooded area after search dogs picked up a scent. people are being asked to keep

their doors and windows locked. area residents on edge as the manhunt drags on. >> it is like a movie. it is scary. >> reporter: the district attorney did not comment on what kind of contraband she brought into the prison. he did say she could face felony charges. david lee miller, fox news. a bay area gas station employee says an's cream freezer probably saved his life during a violent robbery. they released surveillance video in hopes of catching the two gunmen. it happened at 8th and harrison. you can see them pointing a weapon at the clerk. the clerk ran for his life. a fellow worker says it was a very close call. >> when she saw the video, when the younger was one pointing the gun at the man it was a cigarette display and he tripped over the ice cream bar machine and it actually saved

his life. >> that clerk was uninjured. the two men raced away in a light colored sedan with possibly a third person inside. a crash on a san jose freeway. chp said they crashed into a tree. other drivers stopped but couldn't get that fire out because it was so intense. chp could not tell if it was a man or woman. the crash closed several lanes of traffic for several hours. the car had washington plates and included luggage in the back. police asking for your help in the case of a college student. she was out with her sister and friends when she was hit by a stray bullet. although there were plenty of people out on the street police

still have no suspects. the investigators have put this video about the case on the facebook page in hopes of generating more leads. >> to have a homicide like this that's so shocking to the community and so senseless in terms of the victim really stays with us. >> the police are offering a $100,000 reward leading to the arrest of the killer. the red cross is offering help to people displaced about an apartment building fire. it broke out around account this morning. you can see some of the smoke there. it is near north point streets. it took firefighters about 30 minutes to put it out. no one was hurt but a cat was killed in a fire. the cause is under investigation. the time is running out for residents including dozens of children in a redwood city apartment building. they said they received

eviction notices a few days after the building. they protested in front of the building to ask for more time. they say finding an affordable new place to live will be difficult. >> a lot of these families have gone out and they can't find any place which means either they leave the area or who knows, we have one family who this happened to before. she lived in a shelter for about a year. >> 30 children live in the building. organizers say they heard the landlord wants to renovate. it is likely rents will go up. they are asking that the landlord help pay for their moves. taking a step towards a large new housing retail development. the six story building will go up at blake street. this is what the building would look like it would include a restaurant on the ground floor. they report it put off voting until next month because of concerns about the size of that

building. this morning we got a tour of the renovated northern half of dolores park. there is a fresh pathway and san francisco added more restrooms. once both sides of the park are renovated it will have more than two dozen restrooms. they weren't originally intended for public use. >> they were never adequate for the number of users. that was probably the biggest infrastructure move i think the average user will notice. >> a disco party. they will close for renovations for a few months. they will be upgrading the irrigation system and adding restrooms. bart's board of directors approved a budget aimed at improving the system. bart says riders made it clear

they want better on time performance and cleaner stations. it includes adding maintenance shifts to get cars back in the service. it will put 30 cars back in the service long enough for three trains. >> that's going to be huge because during the busiest time during the morning commute you can really not get on. it is even busy like at 10:00 at night. >> the budget will add more clean up crews for the trains and bart stations. it provides for eight more police officers and five community service officers. >> puts it up and knocks it in. head coach started his small line up and it paid off big

they return home this sunday. game six on tuesday at 6:00 and if it goes to game 7 it it would be in oakland a week from tonight. everyone is taking measures to conserve water. we'll tell you the way they are cutting down their water use. the parents of an naacp leader say she is pretending to be a black woman and hair response from the civil rights organization.

degrees. really thick fog. some of that continues to favor the coast. there was some up towards here. the fog is rather extensive. high pressure is squashing it. it is eroding it. it goes all the way down santa cruz. it is starting to burn off to the north. it is still kind of thick. you can see maybe a few little breaks heading down the coast. look at southern california. they are sold out for much of that down there. only a few breaks around catalina. 82 santa rosa. it is closer to the north there. already about 78 to 80 degrees. a lot of 50s and 60s. go to half-moon bay where it is 59 degrees. not much of a breeze any time travis is less than 10. it will be a warm high pattern.

there is a little bit of a southerly breeze. it might help. it is not that strong. inland 90s to 102 at redding. they have had a strong north breeze. they are very very warm. possibly up to 110. water temps are getting very warm. half-moon bay at 60. monterey 58. they are the ones since the warmest since april. high pressure looses its grip ever so slightly tonight into saturday. it looks like it will be slightly cooler into the weekend. it may take a couple of day, sunday and monday before inland areas really cool down. this time of year it's really tough. 90s to 100s for the interior. so some thick morning fog is holding on into the afternoon hours. it will be back sunny and warm. maybe even a little bit of that
