going on this weekend. pride festivals in the city, nascar going on in the north bay and people need beautiful weather. not to put any pressure. >> the giants and a's are playing. it'll be busy on the freeways. hopefully you don't have to be out soon. we have a nice start to the day a mix of low clouds, midand high level giving you a live look over san jose with the midand high level clouds. little bit of filtered sun to start your day. temperatures will be cooling off as we get into saturday afternoon. here is another view of all of that cloud cover. low clouds along the coastline. the midand high level clouds will continue overhead for today. temperatures coming down. the winds picking up thoroughfare field. that gusts to 31 miles an hour. that on shore breeze will continue to bring us the cool down we expect. in fairfield temperatures are down by 11 degrees over 24 hours ago. in areas around concord.

hill this morning. every year for the last two decades volunteers have come to install the pink triangle. they plan to finish this morning and then will have a ceremony at 10:30. there is a added significance in the wake of yesterday's landmark ruling for the court that allows same sex marriages nationwide. today is the 20th pink triangle display. it was first installed in 1996. there are 175 bright pink canvass and five thousand steel spikes that help pin down the panels. it sevens as a way to remember gay people who were killed in concentration camps in germany. they say it reminds people act the past while working toward a better future. local transit actions are providing extra service a number of lines are being rerouted because of street closures in the castro

district. muni will provide special bus shuttles. they will have longer trains and more trains. to avoid delays riders are encouraged to buy round trip tickets beforehand or use the preloaded clipper cards. caltrain is offering hourly service along with for baby bullet express trains. the service will be expanded even more tomorrow because that's what the pride parade happens. they will adan early morn -- an early morning run. here is a schedule of pride events. the mayor will speak at the ceremony at 10:30 this morning. the dike march is at noon. it start was a rally and will be followed by a walk. the parade starts at 10:30 tomorrow. this year's grand marshall includes alicia garza who co founded the black lives matter

hash tag. same sex marriages are now legal in all 50 states. there was a large crowd outside the supreme court in washington dc. they cheered when the ruling was announced about this time yesterday morning. states that oppose gay marriage can still ask the justices to reconsider but it's predicted it's unlikely. in a 5-4 decision the court ruled that same sex couples have a constitutional right to get married. >> we as a country can finally turn the page from national discrimination to a new era of equality when it comes to recognizing our relationships. justice kennedy wrote the majority opinion siding the liberal justices. he wrote that people asking for the right to marry aren't seeking to degen era te marriage with you to live their

lives or honor their spouse's memory. the four dissenting justices accused their colleagues of taking power from the states. from >> >> in san francisco the significance of this ruling was quite clear. >> love won. let's hear it. >> the high court decision came just in time for this weekend's pride festival. gay couples gathered last night to reflect on the long legal struggle and to celebrate their victory for marriage equality. >> because we are a family. we have a child. so it's -- it's the idea that you can move from one place to another and someone can say you don't count here. that's gone now. >> we are also celebrating bean americans. for the first time. we have been included by our country as same class citizens as everybody else. >> and quite fitting here the theme of this weekend's pride

celebration is equality without exception. they say those words never truer it's estimated there are about 400,000 same sex couples in the united states right now. south bay leaders celebrated the ruling at a rally last night in san jose city hall. about a hundred people attended this event. some brought along giant rainbow flags for the occasion. san jose mayor and congresswoman were among the speakers who talked about all the small steps that it took to finally reach equality. >> across the nation there are visible signs of solidarity. the white house was lit up in rainbow colors. the president said it made the union more perfect. city hall also shined brightly last night a focus of the same sex marriage movement they first held weddings in february of 2004. this ruling making front pages across the nation. here is a look at the san francisco chronicle. you can see the headline says

we do. the pictures are the plaintiffs in the 2004 lawsuit seeking to legalize same sex marriage the picture was taken as the two attended yesterday's news conference on the ruling. >> if we go to the front page of the new york times you can see the headline reads equal dignity. same sex marriage a right nationwide. it also shows photographs of couples celebrating the news. and here is a los angeles times where the headline reads equal dignity under the law and shows a picture of people celebrating. that's right outside the united states supreme court. >> the president called the decision earlier this the week on the affordable care act a major victory for americans across the country. >> after multiple challenges to this law before the supreme court we can now say this for certain. the affordable care act still stands. it's working. it's here to stay. >> on thursday you will

probably remember the court upheld a key part of the affordable care act that provides subsideses to all qualifying americans. more than 16 million people have gained health insurance because of what is commonly known as obama care. state regulators have offered more -- they have ordered more water cuts for the city of san francisco. the state water resources control board has asked the city to stop taking some of the river water it stores in the reservoir. san francisco does hold other water rights in the area and the city said that it has enough water in reservoirs to meet needs at least through this coming year. they trained all year for the chance to compete and through the weekend more than 650 athlete also compete in the northern california special olympic summer games. ally joins us live from the united states davis campus with more on what is in store today and good morning. looks like you made your way to the track. >> reporter: yes. the track is where we are and

track and field is one of the four sports they have going on today. you can see they have just a lot of volunteers behind us getting things set up. the first competition doesn't start until 7:30 this morning. they have aquatics and tennis and bochi ball. you can see all the people in the red shirts walking over here. that's where the tournaments will be later on this morning. that's also where they will have their award ceremonies. there are 650 athletes from all over northern cal can cal who compete in -- northern california who compete happening here at the uc davis campus. volunteers mostly taking part in getting things set up. the opening ceremonies were yesterday afternoon. there were quite a few people, supporters there. they had over 2,000 people turn out to kick off the games. here is the ceo talking about what this means to the athletes. >> the staff are so committed and dedicated to the mission of special olympics. i'm so excited to see the work. to see the athletes preform.

>> i have been doing it for a long time. i love it. you know, you meet friends, you get to compete. you can be winner no matter what. >> reporter: the games go on today and tomorrow. all afternoon and tomorrow they will be awarding the gold, silver and bronze medals to the winners of the various competitions. four different sports and law enforcement officers will present the winners with those medals and awarding. the first game doesn't start until 7:30 but you can see some of the athletes out here already getting ready. they are waving to the camera. they are excited. 650 athletes taking part in this and 1200 volunteers dedicating their weekend to help make this happen for those athletes. we will be here throughout the morning and will update you later. >> amazing work by them and obviously the athletes getting all set up. we will see them in action here soon. >> good luck to them. >> thank you.

four people are in custody after a horrible crash and killing in southeast france a truck driver with ties to radical islam crashed in to the

factory triggering an explosion that injured two. after that crash he beheaded his boss and put his head on the factory gate. the suspect, his wife, sister and another person are now in custody. the fbi and department of homeland security are warning people about the potential for attacks on the fourth of july. no specific plot is mentioned but people are asked to be -- aware and report any suspicious activity. the united states embassy in paris issued a similar warning after yesterday's attack in france. in kuwait at least 27 are dead after a bomber blew himself up during prayers in a mosque. more than 220 were hurt in that attack. it's the first attack in kuwait in 20 years. isis has claimed responsibility. thousands gathered to remember the victims of the charleston south carolina church shooting. the president gave the eulogy for the pastor of the church who was one of the nine people killed last week. ken pritchett has more on the

cooler this morning as we get into your numbers, 57 santa rosa, 57 san francisco. low 60s in oakland. 62 in livermore and san jose. 58 outside the door. we have the on shore breeze back and because of it the temperatures in areas like fairfield and concord off to a cooler start. we have two weather elements we are looking at. we have a weak area of low pressure off the coastline. that's brought back the low clouds and the on shore breeze is stronger. we have high pressure to the east of us and that is also helping drag up a little bit of instability. so if you are heading to the sierra you have the possibility of thunderstorms in your area. for us we are going to see a mix of midand high level clouds over the bay area with low clouds along the coastline. could feel humid for some of those warmer areas for the afternoon today. here is a look at your future cast. we have low clouds that continue along the coast and over the searchy. even a few bits of blue

, today a nstb board will go out to where a sightseeing plane crashed in alaska. all nine people on board that plane were killed when it crashed on a cliff above a lake in some steep terrain a crew reached the site yesterday and in the meantime we are learning it would have the nine people killed in that crash were from lodi. firefighters are making progress on a wildfire just south of lake tahoe. the fire has burned 17,000 acres since it started a week

ago. it's now about 29% contained. no buildings have been damaged but it's under a voluntary evacuation warning. a slight break in the weather is helping firefighters battle a tough wildfire. the lake fire has burned close to 30,000 acres. right now it's about 19% contained. 7,000 homes are still threatened residents in several small communities have been ordered to evacuate. the fire was started by lighting. cal fire said its increasing its staffing because of dry lighting and strong winds expected across much of the northern part of the state. lightning increased the chance for new fires and gusting winds can spread the flames. cal fire is placing additional crews and equipment at emergency command centers so they are available around the clock. one new york prison escapee is dead. the other remains on the loose. authorities are continuing to search for david sweat and now we are learning more about how they caught up to and eventually killed richard matt.

matt first fired a bullet at a camping trailer near the border of canada, possibly to try to hijack the vehicle. the driver alerted police, officers then moved in. they tracked him to a cabin and then a wooded area near the tiny town of malone new york a team heard coughing so they knew they were close and when they confronted him he was gripping a gun. he wouldn't drop the weapon and officers then shot and killed him. >> the eastside of the lake a dozen or so armed police with their rifles raised walking through someone's front lawn. >> while investigators suspect that the two inmates were together, state police say they really have no idea where david sweat is right now. officers did find two is thes of foot prints in the woods in that area including one set of prints they believe belong to sweat.

that drama continuing to unfold there in upstate new york. we want to turn to some lighter news. we want to talk about dogs and specifically the dug that is now officially the ugliest in the world. he was give then title at a contest here in the bay area. we will introduce you to him. >> i have never heard of anything like this. plus there is a warning out for swimmers along the santa cruz county coast. why one beach will stay open this weekend even though there were at least 15 great white sharks spotted in that area. no beach weather in the forecast. we have partly to mostly cloudy skies and cool conditions along the coast. we have midand high level clouds streaming over the east bay hills. i will have a look at what's going on outside the doors right now and what you can expect for the weekend coming up.

welcome back to mornings on 2. it's saturday june 27th. >> we want to check your weather. it's a busy weekend around the bay area a lot of events going on and people want to know if the sun is going to shine down on them. you know -- i think we will have that filtered sunshine. we have high level clouds that will be in the forecast and we have low level clouds that will hug the coastline for today.

giving you a view here. we are seeing some of those clouds this morning. these are coming the south and they will continue to stream overhead for today. could feel a little muggy for some of the warmer locations. as a whole temperatures are coming down. in fact from five to ten to 15- degrees for our inland communities. ly compare some of those numbers for new just a moment. let's take a look at the on shore breeze going to about 31 miles an hour at times. that's the gust reading reading through, fairfield. napa at about 10 and concord 14. numbers are down this morning at this hour by five, even ten degrees. fairfield reporting 11 degrees cooler. we have low 60s in livermore. 60 in walnut creek. low 60s long the shoreline. low clouds at half moon bay. 57sfo in to the north bay. temperatures in the upper 50s as well from santa rosa, napa and nevado. menlo park at 62.

64 for palo alto. foster city, belmont in there as well. here is a look at some of the numbers that we saw yesterday. compared to what we are looking at today. santa rosa expected to warm to 78 this afternoon. yesterday you hit 89. that's a 12-degree difference for you. concord you are coming way down at 84. livermore you will drop off quite a bit as well. 87 in the forecast for you today. five degrees cooler in area around san jose. 799799 -- 79 the forecast high for you. temperatures will be steady through the bay area weekend. ly have a look around at what you can expect for the area and how long this trend will last coming up. >> thank you. here is a look at some of the top stories we are following. let's get you to a live look. volunteers putting together that giant triangle. they started an hour ago and in this live picture can you can see they are almost finished

fill in the -- filling in the pink triangle. they have done a nice job. they have worked quickly and once it's done this symbol of san francisco pride will be seen for at least 20 miles all round the bay area. of course the installation signals the start of san francisco pride festivals. here is footage of the installation from last year. this is the 45th year of the festival. participants have even more to celebrate of course this weekend because of the landmark supreme court ling yesterday that legalized same sex marriage across the country. rob roth shows us how san francisco helped to pave the way to this historic decision. >> reporter: marriage vows inside san francisco city hall. >> that i pronounce you legally married. >> reporter: for this same sex couple. what turned out to be a historic day. >> this is happening today in the middle of pride.

on a day that we are doing this >> reporter: the difficult trip started in this very place in february of 2004. that's when then mayor ordered the city to issue marriage licenses to couples of the same sex. >> when you have thousands and thousands of couples representing tens of thousands of people that -- in every part of the country and they all went back home with a different kind of connection to the issue and cause and people saw that every single day for weeks and weeks. >> reporter: four thousand couples would tie the knot only to have the california court declare them unlawful. among those who got married in that wave were nick and david. they had looked forward to this day but didn't live to see it. >> i got teary eyed when i heard the news thinking if only but it wasn't meant to be that he would still be here to enjoy this. one of the most talked

about parts was the final paragraph. the justice summed up his support by writing no union is more profound than marriage, [inaudible] to the highest ideals of love, devotion, sacrifice and family. forming a union two people become something greater than once they were. marriage embodying the love that may endure past death. it would misunderstood these men and women to say they disrespect the idea of marriage. their plea is that they do respect it. respect it so deeply that they seek to find its fulfillment for themselves. their hope is not to be condemned to live in loneliness excluded from one of the oldest institutions. they ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. san jose police are investigating two deadly shootings that happened just a couple hours apart. the first was just before 10:30 last night on carolyn avenue. police found a 17-year-old boy shot on the sidewalk there. he was pronounced dead at the

scene and just before 2:30 police found a man shot near south second and san carlos street and that man died at the hospital. no arrests have been made in either of those shootings. friends and family of a man shot and killed by richmond police plan to hold a rally and march later this morning. the 24-year-old richard perez was killed last september. police say he was drunk when he got into a fight with an officer outside of a liquor store. police say that perez was shot after reaching for the officer's gun. the family though was angry that the da didn't file charges against the police officer who shot him. today's rally will get underway at the richmond bart station at 11. a major marijuana growing operation was busted on the north coast. 86,000 plants were seized over four days this week in what's known as the emerald triangle. that's. authorities say the pot grower was diverting stream that flow

to the he'll river. it's estimated that the plant was sucking up a half million gallon -- half million gallons of water a day. the amount of water in the tanks was unreal. >> four people were arrested during this operation but investigators say more arrests are likely. a pit bulla tacked a 16- month-old tiled in santa rosa. firefighters were called to a home on fresno avenue late thursday a fire captain said that the little boy apparently got to close to the dog's food bowl and was bitten. the child was taken to the. anxious moments off the santa cruz county coast. 15 great white sharks were spotted swimming to. they were less than a mile off shore. despite the sightings the beach remains open and will stay open

all this weekend. >> reporter: video from special helicopters captured great hike sharks swimming in the waters of sea cliff state beach. jan was on that helicopter thursday afternoon when he counted 15 sharks. >> i was was stoked. it's not unusual to see one to three a day. i have been -- going on the ocean every day for the last 20 years and i have never seen or heard of anything like this >> reporter: a boat captain for whale watching tours said the sharks appeared between eight to 15 feet long. out of caution state park officials posted warning signs and canceled swimming for a competition after a lifeguard spotted a shark 20 yards off shore. >> there is been shark sightings for years. they are out there. that's their home. when you go in ott -- in the ocean have to be aware. >> reporter: expert captured this video. he said it's unusual for young

sharks to be this far north and are likely feeding at night. >> they are as with the sea lions stampeding north looking for food, starving, dying on the fish, trigger fish caught off the wharf. there are warm water currents just further north than usual. >> reporter: as you can imagine the sightings are the talk among beach goers. this family visiting from chicago is opting to stay out of the water and enjoying the great whites a distance. >> i don't want them near the sharks. it's not meant to be in the water today. >> reporter: the beach is open and activities will go on as planned for the weekend. state park officials say the only time they will close the beach is if there is a shark attack. ktvu. meantime on the other side of the country more shark sightings in north carolina. yesterday a man was sent to the hospital after an attack on a beach there. it's the fifth reported incident in north carolina so

far this year. people there are being warned to stay away from the water. in santa barbara the state beach and campground back open five weeks after that major oil spill that happened there a ruptured pipeline spilled up to 100,000-gallons of oil last month and about 21,000-gallons made it into the ocean. officials say that most of the coastline is now free of oil from that spill. >> i think it's great they got the beach open. it's unfortunate that the oil spill came. it's great that the environmental and everything we can get it cleaned up and open for everybody for the weekend. and a lot of people headed to that area. the campground is sold out for the weekend. google is looking in to ways to make silicon valley more bike friendly. the company is offering five million dollars in matching grants to help build a bike system in silicon valley. the grant calls on cities in the valley to come up with ways to boost bike friendliness. the goal is to build a bike

friendly community that's similar to copenhagen. the ugliest dog has been crowned in the bay area. the 10-year-old dog was the winner of this year's contest. he has a spinal birth defect that left him with a hundred much back. he was abandoned before being adopted in florida. his owner took him $1,500 for winning the contest. i think is he handm. >> i was going to say i don't think he is ugly. he has the high back. >> that's the on reason why i'm happy for him but it's a handsome little dog. >> and now he is a winner too. >> of course. >> you can't argue with that. >> he was already a winner. this morning hundreds of athletes are competing out at uc davis. at eight we will take you out live for a look at this year's games. and get ready to leave that selfie stick at home. the big news from disney and why they are banning them.

grateful dead playing. its part of the fair thee well celebrating 50 years of grateful dead tour. the band stopped playing together in 1995 after the death of the front man. if you are headed up so sonoma, get ready for some traffic. it'll be a mess. nascar is back in the bay area. the three day event kicked off yesterday. normally it draws about 100,000 fans from across the country. today fans can watch the qualifying sessions by drivers. big crowds expected since it's jeff gordon's final race as a full time driver, gates open at seven tomorrow morning. there will be something special for nascar fans when they go to sonoma raceway

happen at 10:30 this morning and of course as we have been talking about there is added significance this morning because of yesterday's landmark ruling by the supreme court allowing same sex marriages nationwide. the first one went up during the 1996 pride celebration. the display features 175 bright pink canvass and five thousand steel spikes that help pin down each of those panels. it sevens as a way to remember gay people who were persecuted and killed in concentration camps in nazi germany. organizers say it reminds people act the past. local transit agencies will provide extra service for people heading in to the city for the pride celebration a number of muni lines are being reconstituted because of street closures and around civic center. muni will provide is special bus shuttles. bart said it'll have longer trains and more trains running throughout the weekend so to

avoid delays riders encouraged to buy round trip tickets beforehand or use the preloaded clipper cards. we are told caltrain is offering hourly service and from san francisco along with four baby bullet express trains. transit service will expand even more tomorrow for the pride parade. the bay ferry, it'll be adding an early morning run from the east bay. the ship leaves the main street dock at 8:45 tomorrow morning. it gets in to oako land at nine. then arrive hats the san francisco ferry building at 9:35. of course the ruling is making front pages across the nation. here is a look at the san francisco chronicle. the headline reading we do. the pictures at the bottom, that's the plaintiffs in the 2004 lawsuit seeking to legalize same sex marriage. the picture was taken as they attended yesterday's news conference on the ruling. and let's take a look at the front page of the new york

times. it's headline reads, equal dignity, makes same sex marriage a right nationwide. the paper also shows as you can see several pictures of couples celebrating. if we look at the la times the headline reads equal dignity under the law and shows people celebrating. this is right outside the united states supreme court. from the heart of the castro district to the front steps of the supreme court crowds gathered and cheered the ruling. same sex marriages are now legal nationwide. states that oppose gay marriage could still ask for reconsideration but legal experts predict it's unlikely. in the decision the high court ruled that same sex couples have a constitutional right to get married. >> we as a country can finally turn the page from national

discrimination to a new era of equality when it comes to recognizing our relationships. >> justice kennedy wrote the majority opinion here siding with the court's four liberal justices. he wrote that asking people for the right to -- wrote though people asking for the right to marry are not seeking to degen era te marriage but want to honor their spouse's memory or live their lives. the four dissenting justices accused their colleagues of taking power that belongs to the states and to the voters. san francisco as you may expect had the largest rally in the bay area celebrating the decision. gay rights activists say the timing could not have been more perfect. the decision came down just in time for san francisco's pride festival this weekend. couples reflected on the long legal struggle and celebrated

the victory for marriage equality. >> we are a family. we have a child. so it's -- it's -- the idea that you can move from one place to another in this country and someone can say you don't count here. that's gone now. >> we are celebrating being americans for the first time we have been included by our country as same class of citizens as everybody else. >> and the theme for the celebration is equality without across green country acception exceptio, in. it's estimate there's are 400,000 same sex couples in the united states. south bay leaders celebrated the ruling at a rally that happened last night. about 100 people attended this event. some of them brought along giant rainbow flags to mark the occasion. san jose mayor was on hand, so was a congresswoman. they were among the speaker who talked about all the small steps it took. throughout the country there were visible signs of

support. the white house was lit up overnight as you can see lit up in those rainbow colors. the president said that the high court's ruling made our union a little more perfect. san francisco city hall also shined brightly a focus of the same sex marriage movement they first held weddings in february of 2004. state regulators, supported more water cuts for san francisco. the state water resources control board has asked the city to stop taking some of the river water it stores. san francisco does hold other water rights in that area. the city does say it has enough water in reservoirs to meet customer needs at least through this coming year. in his weekly address the president called the supreme court's decision on the affordable care act a major victory. >> after multiple challenges to this law before the supreme court we can now say this for certain. the affordable care act still

stabbed stands. it is working and it is here to stay. >> on thursday the court in another big ruling upheld a key part of the affordable care act that provides health insurance southbound dignities -- subsideses. more than 16 million people have gained health insurance because of obama care. a rare sight off the santa cruz county coast. why a marine biologist thinks 15 great white sharks are headed further north than usual. and how about this? it brought everybody to their feet. inside this church in charleston. we will have more on this emotional funeral that inspired the president to raise his voice in song. outside this morning overcast skies, stronger on shore breeze and a cooldown underway for your bay area weekend. check in on the current conditions. have a look at that extended forecast for you coming up.

firefighters are making progress on a wildfire just south of lake tahoe. the fire has burned 17,000 acres since it started a week ago. it's now it's% contained. no buildings have been damaged but it's under a voluntary evacuation warning a slight break in the weather is helping firefighters battle a tough

wildfire. the lake fire has burned close to 30,000 acres. right now it's about 19% contained. 7,000 homes are still threatened residents residents in several small communities have been ordered to evacuate the fire was started by lighting from a thunderstorm. cal fire said its increasing its staffing because of dry lighting through the next week. lightning increases a chance for new fires and gusting winds can spread those flame. cal fire is placing more crew and equipment to be available around the clock. thousands gathered to remember the victims of the charleston church shooting. the president was there to bring the eulogy for the pass for of the church one of the nine killed. ken pritchett has more on the president's surprise tribute and what the president said is the biggest challenge facing the country. >> amazing grace >> reporter: it was a moment

welcome back. happening today, a national transportation safety board team scheduled to be taken out to the location where a sightseeing plane crashed in alaska. all nine people on board that plane were killed when it crashed on a cliff right above a lake in some steep terrain a recovery crew was able to reach that remote sight in southeast alaska yesterday. in the meantime we are leashing that two of the nine people killed in that crash were from lodi in the central valley. four people are in custody after a horrible crash at an american owned gas factory in france a truck driver with ties to cad ralph islam crashed into the factory that triggered an explosion that injured two people. then police say after the crash he beheaded his boss and hut his head -- put his head on the factory gate. the fbi and department of homeland security are warning people about the potential for terrorist attacks on the fourth

of july. no specific plot is mentioned but people are asked to remain aware and report any suspicious activity. the united states embassy in paris issued a similar warning in france. if kuwait at least 27 are dead after a suicide bomber blew hippings up. more than 220 were injured in that attack. it's the first terrorist attack in kuwait in 20 years isis has claimed responsibility. one new york escapee is dead while the others on the loose. authorities trying to find david sweat. now we are learning more about how they caught up to the other escapee. the man who cast wild. richard matt. matt first fired a bullet at a camping trailer close to the border of canada. this was possibly to try to get the driver to stop and hijack the vehicle. the driver alerted police. officers were able to move in and they tracked matt to a cabin and then to a wooded

area. this was outside the tiny town of malone new york a tactical team heard coughing knew they were close. when they confronted matt he was holding a shot gun. he wouldn't drop it according to authorities and that's when officers shot and killed him. >> the eastside of the lake a dozen or so armed police with their rifles raised walking through someone's front lawn. >> state police have no idea where david sweat may be right now. officers however did find two sets of foot prints in the woods including one they believe belonged to sweat. so that's drama in new york continues to unfold. >> i know --. >> one killed and one on the run. him he said they will look until they find him. >> they have dedicated a lot of resources. lawsuit is being filed against the parents of a

suspect in a violent rampage. what it said they should have done to stop their son from killing six people. and in santa barbara a state beach now open after a major oil spill and people already are selling out nearby campgrounds to celebrate. a drop in temperatures coming especially toward the inland areas. in fact some of us are feeling already. what you can expect. and taking you in the afternoon coming up.

just a bit. >> thank you. new this morning san jose police are investigating two deadly shootings that happened just a few hours apart. the first happened just before 10:30 last night. police say they found a 17-year- old boy shot on the sidewalk. he was pronounced dead at the scene. just before 2:30 police found a man shot near south second and san carlos street. he died at the hospital. no arrests have been made in either shooting. friends and family of the pan who was shot and killed by richmond police plan to hold a rally and march later this morning. richard perez was killed last september. police say that he was drunk when he got into a fight with an officer. he who shot after reaching for the officer's gun. the family is angry that the da decided not to file charges against the police officer who shot him. today's rally will start at the bart station at 11. a man hurt in a violent rampage near santa barbara now is suing the parents of the man

responsible. the lawsuit said that keith chung had a head injury and broken bones when he was hit by a speeding car while riding his bike. police say that the 22-year-old el rot o gear was driving that car. he stabbed, shot and ran people down, killing six students skin juries more than a dozen before taking his own life. the lawsuit said that his parents were negligent in letting him use the car and say nobody investigated warning signs that he was dangerouso. united states santa barbara, the county and sheriff's department all are named in that lawsuit. a pit bulla tacked a 16- month-old child in santa rosa. firefighters were called out to a home on fresno avenue late thursday afternoon a santa rosa fire captain said that the little boy apparently got to close to the dog's food bowl and that's when the child was bitten. the child was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. the pit bull was put into

rabies quarantine. 15 great white sharks were spotted swimming together off the beach and they were less than a mile off shore a boat captain for whale watching tours said they appeared between eight and 15 feet long. state park officials posted warning signs and canceled swimming for a juneor lifeguard competition. despite that the beach is open and will stay open this weekend. >> there has been shark sighting off and on for years. they are out there. that's their home. when you go in theo ocean. just have to be aware of your surroundings. one shark expert said it's unusual for sharks to be this far north and they are likely looking for food. state park officials say the only time they will close the beach is if there is a shark attack. there have been more shark sightings in north carolina. yesterday a man was sent to the hospital after an attack on a

beach. it's the fifth reported incident in north carolina so far this year. people are now being warned to stay away from the water. in santa barbara the state beach and camp ground is back open five weeks after a major oil spill there. a ruptured pipeline spilled up to a hundred thousand gallons of oil. >> i think it's great that they got the beach open. it's unfortunate that -- the oil spill came. we can get it cleaned up. stereo and the campground at the beach is sold out for the weekend. big day in davis. >> yes. we have talking special olympics. its been a very busy week. on monday a torch run.

john kicked off the first leg of the ten mile run. it made their way through the city past at&t park. through north beach and back again. >> john ran that? >> no. he ran the first half mile i think. he was a part of it though. >> yeah. just giving him a hard time. >> we are live ono the phone i believe from uc davis. you were there to -- talk about the special olympics summer games going on this morning. >> reporter: yeah. good morning we are out here in the middle of all the action and standing in the middle of the field where they have all the track and field events going on on the uc davis campus. they are in the middle of doing a series of 100-meter runs. if you hear a shot gun go off. don't worry. the race has started. there is a lot of people out here in the crowd that probably -- about two to three run people. you can hear them in the background. there are about 650 athletes taking part in the northern

california special olympics games. they have of course 11 different types of sports. track and field, we were watching shot put a little earlier and they have tennis and also aquatics going on. the athlete who are part of this, they compete and they train twice a week. once or twice a week. this he have special mentors, coaches that kind of walk them through the process and this is the big event that he look forward to every year. this year it's happening at uc davis. one of the organizers i was talking to pointed out a really interesting stat. he said 53% of special olympic athletes have jobs. they are part of the work force verses just 20% of people with mental disabilities who aren't part of a special olympics program. the organizers say this event and preparing for it really does a lot to boost the confidence of everybody involved here. 650 people come peteing and you know the atmosphere is great. everybody is positive. the athletes all high fiving eacho. there is about 1200 volunteer

that are supporting everybody here and helping keep track of time. >> you know -- >> reporter: it's a good vibe. >> yeah. you know its interesting. i talked earlier this week to one of the special olympics athletes. one of the organizers and they were talking how emotional it was when stephanie came -- she had all her medals ono. one of the organize agoers say -- he awarding telling a story about a parent who was watching their child cross the finish line and said smiled for the first time in like years. i imagine emotional out there as well to see it. >> reporter: it is. there is -- there is a lot of interesting personal stories out here. we interviewed a woman from napa. part of the napa team. she has been competing in for 20 years. 20 years in a row she does this. not only is they competing this year but her daughter is competing as well. so you have like a mother, daughter team and they are both

you see those white beams in the ground. the tournament is well underway. it's just two of the sports that they are -- the athletes are tackling here. they also have tennis and aquatics going on. now, earlier this morning we caught up with one of the special olympians who has been doing this for 20 years. she is wearing a green shirt. her name is joan. she is from napa. she had a lot of confidence heading into the race. we also met her daughter who is also competing in the race in some of the events as well. here is what joan had to tell us about how excited she is to be here and how optimistic she was about her event. >> i can do it. i can do it. >> reporter: do you get tired at all? >> a little bit. not much. i get cramps. i am going to go back again. >> a lot of these people, if it wasn't for special olympics, wouldn't have a reason to leave the house during the day. but they are actively engaged in their program. they have a coach who mentors

them. they practice a couple, three times a week. it gives them a lot of self-confidence. >> reporter: and the games go on today and tomorrow. opening ceremonies was yesterday and they had 2,000 people turn out for that event. overall here over the weekend they are going to have more than 650 athletes taking part in the various sporting events. kevin reid was telling me an interesting statistic. he says that 53% of their special olympians have jobs. they are out in the work force versus just 20% of people with mental disabilities who aren't in special olympics. so organizers here say this event as a lot to the confidence of the athletes. everyone taking part in it. and it's also a very important cause for the people and the volunteers who make this happen. more than 1,200 people dedicate their weekend and dedicate their time for months in advance to put these games on. back to you. >> thanks so much. a great event all weekend long. certainly anyone can watch it.

thanks so much. okay. 90 minutes from now there will be a ceremony commemorating this year's pink triangle. it took volunteers less than an hour this morning to assemble it on top of san francisco's twin peaks. cool video. this is time lapse video as we follow their work from beginning to end. there are 175 bright pink canvass and 5,000 steel spikes that pin down each of those panels. look at all the volunteers working hard. the pink triangle display was first originated for the pride festival back in 1996. it serves as a way to remember gay people who were persecuted and killed in concentration camps in nats nazi germany. it reminds people about the past while working towards a better future. local transit agencies are providing extra service for people heading into the city for the pride celebrations. a number of muni lines are rerouted because of street closures in the castro district and civic center areas.

muni will provide special bus shuttles and bart says it will have longer trains and also more trains running this weekend. to avoid delays riders are encouraged to buy round trip tickets ahead of time or use preloaded clipper cards. caltrain is offering hourly service two and from san francisco along with four baby bullet express trains. transit service will be expanded tomorrow for the pride parade. the bay ferry will add an early morning run from the east bay. that leaves the alameda main street dock at 8:45 tomorrow morning. it heads into oakland at 7:00 a.m. and arrives at the san francisco ferry building at 9:35. here is the schedule of pride events this weekend. san francisco mayor ed lee will speak at the pink triangle commeration ceremony at 10:30 this morning. the annual dike march at noon. it begins with a realliry in dolores park followed by a walk

at 3:30. the parade kicks off at 10:30 this morning at market and beal street. excuse me. 10:30 tomorrow morning, the prayed is. market and beal is where it begins. and this year's grand marshals include aleash yeah garza, who cofound the the black lives matter hashtag and the president of the nba champions of the golden state warriors. same-sex marriages are legal in all 50 states this morning. there was the scene outside of the supreme court when a huge crowd gathered and cheered as this ruling came down yesterday morning just about this time. states that oppose gay marriage can ask the justices to reconsider, but legal experts predict that is unlikely. in a 5-4 decision the high court ruled that same-sex couples have a constitutionally protected right to get married. >> we as a country can finally turn the page from national

discrimination to a new era of equality when it comes to recognizing our relationships. >> justice kennedy wrote the majority opinion siding with the four courts liberal justices. he wrote that people are not seeking to denigrate marriage but to live their lives or honor their spouse's memory joined by its bound. the others accuse their colleagues taking power that belongs to the states and voters. from the chamber of the supreme court it the streets of the castro district, the significance of this ruling was clear. >> love won. let's hear it! love won! >> [cheers and applause]. >> the high court decision came in time for this weekend as pride festival. gay customers reflected on the long legal struggle and to celebrate their victory for marriage equality. >> because we are a family. we have a child. and so the idea that you can

move from one place to another in this country and somebody can say, you don't count here, that's gone now. >> we are also celebrating being americans. for the first time we have been included by our country as same class of citizens as everyone else. >> the theme of this weekend's pride celebration is equality without expectation. same-sex couples say these words were never truer. there are 400,000 same-sex couples in the u.s. >> south bay leaders celebrated the ruling last night. some brought along giant rainbow flags. there is one of them. san jose mayor and congressman were among the speakers who talked about the small steps it took to finally reach fuel equality. and across the nation there were visable signs of solidarity. you can see the white house was lit up overnight in those rainbow colors. president obama saying the high court's ruling, quote, made our union a little more perfect. and let's go over to san

francisco city hall because it was also shining brightly last night. of course, city hall was a focal point for the same-sex marriage movement. they held weddings in february of 2004. more water cuts for the city of san francisco. the state water resources control board has asked the city to stop taking some of the river water it stores. san francisco has other water rights in that area and the city says it has enough water in some of the reservoirs to meet customer needs at least through this coming year. san francisco led the fight for marriage equality back in 2004. coming up in our next half hour, the joy and reflection of those who were at the forefront of that fight. first, an emotional funeral in charleston, south carolina. a look at the touching moment by the president that brought all of those people to their feet. partly sunny to partly cloudy skies in the forecast for your saturday afternoon. i will show you the source of those clouds there.

welcome back to "mornings on 2". four people are in custody after a horrific crash and a killing at an american owned gas factory in southeastern france. authorities say a truck driver with ties to radical islam crashed into the factory triggering an explosion that injured two people. police say after that crash he decapitated his boss and then placed his head on the factory gate. the suspect, his wife, sister, and another person are now in

custody. the fbi and the department of homeland security are warning people about the potential for terrorist attacks on the fourth of july. no specific plot is mentioned, but people are asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. the u.s. embassy in paris issued a similar warning following yesterday's attack in france. in kuwait at least 27 people are dead after a suicide bomber blew himself up during prayers at a shiite mosque. more than 220 others were injured. it's the first terrorist attack in kuwait in more than 20 years. islamic state affiliate has claimed responsibility for the attack. thousands gathered in south carolina to remember the victims of the charleston church shooting. >> ♪ amazing grace ♪. >> president obama sang amazing grace, as you can hear. you see everyone look surprised before they stood to their

feet. he delivered a eulogy yesterday at the funeral for a south carolina state lawmaker and a pastor who was among the nine people gunned down last week. the president talked about the confrontation between hope and evil while never once mentioning the name of the accused gunman. >> blinded by hatred, the alleged killer could not see the grace surrounding reverend pickney, and that bible study group. the light of love that shown as they opened the church doors and invited a stranger to join in the prayer circle. >> president obama spoke about gun control in the u.s. dignitaries from across the country packed into a college arena for the funeral. president obama went with the first lady and the bidens. there were also members of congress and hillary clinton. a south carolina woman was arrested for taking down the

confederate flag outside the state house. twitter pictures show her climbing that 30-foot flag pole. state capitol police told her to come down, but she removed the flag before returning to the ground. the woman and another man with her were both arrested. the flag was raised again a short time later. that flag is protected by current state law. 9:17 here on a saturday morning. a fair amount of low clouds outside. we will get some sunshine coming through? >> yeah. we will have a mix of sun and clouds. we have the low clouds up against the coastline. mid and high level clouds streaming overhead. we were taking a look at this shot over my shoulder. now you have a full view of san jose. those clouds packing a little bit of moisture. so as we get into the afternoon, could feel a little muggy. could feel a little humid for some. i'll explain why here coming up. in fact, as we take a look at stormtracker 2 we have two weather elements impacting california. we have high pressure over the four corners, and the clockwise

motion dragging monsoonle moisture from the desert southwest into lake tahoe for saturday as well as sunday. also we have this system here right off the coastline in the counterclockwise motion bringing in the southerly surge. for us here in the bay area, the marine layer is thicker, the onshore breeze is stronger and temperatures are falling. i am tracking cooler temperatures this morning. let's start in the sierra where we have a red flag warning picks up later today and lasts into the evening hours. the possibility of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. the bigger concern is the dry lightning. so again we will be keeping track of that for you and firefighters, of course, on watch there. for us here at home it will be that southerly surge that continues. we have low clouds at the coastline today. mid and high level clouds elsewhere. again, that moisture in those clouds going to make it feel a little humid in some areas. 59 degrees in napa right now. low 60s san francisco. livermore warming to 67. started out in the low 60s this morning.

temperatures the not going to change a whole lot getting into the back half of your weekend. a mix of sun and clouds. that will change getting back to work on monday. the heat is back on. temperatures back near 100 degrees as we get into tuesday. thankfulfully. it doesn't last. back to the low-to-mid 90s by wednesday. >> warm spell-later this week. thank you. well, firefighters are making progress on a wildfire near marklyville. the fire has burned 17,000 acres since it started a week ago and right now it's 29% contained. no buildings have been damaged, but marklyville is under a voluntary evacuation order. cal fire says it's increasing staffing because of dry lightning and strong winds expected across much of the northern part of the state through next week. lightning, of course, increases the chances for new fires and gusting winds can spread the flames. they are placing additional crews and equipment at several

one new york prison escapee is dead but the other remains on the loose this morning as authorities continue to search for david sweat. we are learning about how they caught up to and killed richard matt. he first fired a bullet at a camping trailer, according to police. this was near the canadian border. they think he was possibly attempting to get the driver to stop and to hijack the vehicle. but the driver alerted police and officers moved in. they tracked him to a cabin and then a had heavily wooded area in the tiny town of malone, new york. a tactical team heard coughing,

so they say they knew they were close. when there was a confrontation they say he was gripping a shotgun and refused to put down the weapon. officers then fired and killed him. >> the east side of the lake, a dozen or so armed police with their rifles raised walking through somebody's front lawn. >> investigators suspect that the two inmates were together. state police though say they have no idea where david sweat might be right now. officers did find two sets of footprints in the woods and including those they think belonged to sweat is. major marijuana-growing operation has been busted on the north coast. 86,000 plants were seized over four days this week in what is known as the emerald triangle. that's trinity, mendocino, and humboldt counties. authorities say the pot growers were diverting streams that flowed to the eel river. it's estimated that the plants were sucking up about half a million gallons of water every

day. >> the amount of gallons of water and the large tanks that were out there was unreal. >> four people were arrested during this operation, but investigators do say more arrests are likely in the future. according to the "san francisco chronicle," google is offering $5 million in matching grants to help build a bike system in silicon valley. it calls on cities in the valley to come up with ways to boost bike friendliness. the company's goal to build a bike friendly community similar to copenhagen. 9:25. pride weekend in the bay area. of course, people all across the country and the bay area celebrating the supreme court's decision to legalize same-sex marriage. coming up, we will talk live to a couple who has been on the forefront of this fight for more than ten years. and a warning for swimmers along the santa cruz county coast. the reason the beach is open this weekend despite 15 great

don't ever despair. don't ever give up. don't ever believe a challenge is too big. don't ever believe a hill is too tall to climb. >> crowds gathered on the steps of city hall in san francisco as officials, including former mayor newsom, thanked the supreme court for the decision to legalize same-sex marriage across the country. people told us they had been waiting their whole lives it have their relationships recognized and some of them have been on the front lines of this fight for many, many years. back in 2004, steward and john were among the first couples to be married in san francisco. the mayor ordered the city to

begin issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. about 4,000 marriages were performed during the winter of love, but shortly after that the marriages were declared null and void by the state of california. they then became one of the couples that sued the state for the freedom to marry and in 2008 won that lawsuit and then married again. stuart and john were outside of san francisco's still hall yesterday for the celebration as the supreme court decision came down. this morning we have them in our studio. we are lucky to have them here. >> good morning. >> good morning. >> good to see you. we were just talking, i mean, i imagine right now you are still beaming? >> yes. >> we were just talking about how in 2004 i interviewed you guys at like five in the morning in the dark in front of city hall. and here we are 11 years later. it seems kind of nuts. >> we have all lived to see a

better day. and today in particular it's the first full day of marriage equality in america from coast to coast in all 50 states. that day is today. >> did you guys i mean, you guys were just in a relationship. just wanted to get married. all of a sudden you were part of history. part of the lawsuits. part of the movement. part of something. when you look at how that takes place and the many steps that went forward, what do you think made you guys believe -- and i remember even back in 2004 you had this confidence that change was on its way? >> well, we were just sort of an ordinary couple. we still are. and we realized we wanted our full dignity just like anybody should have as americans. so we showed up for a rally at san francisco city hall in february 2004 for marriage equality. and it happened to be that golden hour that they had just opened the door. we have never stopped. >> turned out to be our wedding day. >> our first wedding day. >> when you look at what the city of san francisco and the

world, you then, then mayor newsom played in starting this, i mean, this was the snowball, right, that started rolling? >> this is about real people. this is not an abstract people. it's about real lives. lives of millions and millions of americans and families. >> so many ways this movement began on the steps of san francisco city hall. the line around the block. the couples who drove all night. stood in the rain. camping out thinking it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. that dream came through today. >> i know in each step of the process as i talked to you through the many years it was going for small victories knowing this was a long road. but this was, i mean, obviously this was the moment. how nervous were you? how confident were you that this is how it would end up? >> we have always believed in the power of love to transform lives. and to be honest, that's what our movement has been about. love and marriage, right?

and that's how popular opinion has completely flipped. >> it has. >> over 60% of americans now support marriage equality. >> let's go back, right? and when you are looking at when you were trying to get popular opinion, i have to tell you when i looked on my facebook page and everyone now has, , you -- they have changed their pictures, regardless of who they are, to have a rainbow theme on it, you have the white house lit up in rainbow colors, you have, you know people mentioning this all over twitter, would you have imagined back in 2004 in terms of the progress you wanted to make, in terms of the change you wanted to make, what it would be so dramatic today? because is it just me or is seems like we have had a ground swell that continued to pick up steam? >> well, we have two wonderful nieces and they were little girls back in 2004. and now they are women. young women. and they are voters. and their facebook pages, they

have put together a montage of actually all the things we have done together as a family. and, you know, it's beautiful. as stuart said, they are voters, too. that's where we make legal and political change because, yeah -- exactly. >> thank you so much for coming in. we wish you a very happy married life. >> that's great. >> thank you. alex. >> yes, we wish them all the best. thank you for coming down to the studio this morning. you know, as you go through the supreme court ruling, i think one of the most talked about parts of the ruling itself was the final paragraph. justice anthony kennedy summed up his support for same-sex marriage by writing, no union is more profound than marriage for it embodied the highest ideals of love, devotion, sacrifice and family. two people become something greater than once they were.

marriage embodies a love that may endure even past death. he goes on to say, it would misunderstand these men and women to say they disrespect the idea of marriage. their plea is that they do respect it. respect it so deeply that they seek to find its fulfillment for themselves. their hope is not to be condemned, to live in loneliness, excluded from one of civilizations oldest institutions. they ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. several gay couples marked the historic occasion by getting married at san francisco's city hall. it's estimated there are 400,000 married couples currently in the u.s. san francisco helped lead the same-sex marriage movement when then mayor gavin newsom directed the city clerk to issue marriage licenses to gay couples back in 2004. the courts halted the weddings just a month later. gay couples said for the first time in their lives they are being recognized by their

country. >> it's truly the fruition of a personal journey for stewart and me. a collective journey for the san francisco community. but a nationwide journey for lbgt americans and our friends and families that has been going on really for decades. >> talking back then. in the studio today. several gay couples are so excited about the future. they predict same-sex marriages will be so common place that people will look back and wonder what all the fuss was about this weekend. and speaking of this weekend, we have rosemary here. what's going on in the city? >> parades. giants. nascar. look at that shot. pretty out there. >> yeah. we are going to have some very comfortable weather in areas. mild inland. we are going to see

temperatures fall off. in fact, this morning already anywhere from 10 to 12 degrees cooler in areas through the delta where the onshore breeze is blowing. fairfield 21 miles per hour. gusting to nearly 30 earlier this morning. so feeling that delta breeze. 12 at concord. six in oakland and napa on on shore breeze at eight. here is a look at the 24 hour temperature change. fairfield now 13 degrees cooler than where you were 24 hours ago. by 11 in concord. 10 in livermore. by 13 degrees in santa rosa. our inland areas definitely feeling the cool-down this morning. around the bay a few degrees cooler as well. oakland as well as mountain view by four degrees. san jose by seven. let's look at some of these numbers here. 67 in livermore and 65 concord. low 60s around the bay. 63 napa. one shift into the peninsula where we have 65 menlo park. palo alto 73. 66 for woodside. partly sunny to partly cloudy skies and cooler temperatures

in the forecast for the afternoon. i will have a look at the numbers for your afternoon and we'll talk about where these clouds are coming from coming up in just a little bit. well, on monday a torch run benefitting the special olympics made its way through san francisco. there is video of it right now. and right there that guy, do you recognize him? that's ktvu's own john. the group made their way through the city streets past at&t park down through north beach and headed back to union square. opening ceremonies for today's special olympics summer games were held last night and john served as one of the emcees there. hundreds of athletes marched into the olympic village at uc davis. those games are underway this morning. these are live pictures from uc davis. athletes are come beating in events that include track and field. allie rasmus is live for us in the middle of it all. there she is.

hey, allie. >> reporter: hi. yeah, don't forget about bocci ball. >> can't forget that. >> reporter: off in the distance behind those tents you can see the white beams on the ground. those are the tracks. and the competitors have been hard at work taking part in that competition for the last 45 minutes or so. let's give you an up close look. all together there are 650 athletes from all other northern california taking part in the special olympics. track and field, aquatics and tennis. earlier this morning we were over in the middle of the track watching some of the 100-meter dashes and walks going on. we talked to a competitor who has been doing this for 20 years. her name is joan. she is from napa. her and her daughter compete in the special olympics this year. so they were really excited about their event going on. we also had a chance to talk to the winner of the 100-meter dash. her name was cheyenne. she was very excited to be here. she told us what this event means to her.

>> it means so much to me. >> reporter: how often do you practice? >> i practice every saturday from, i think, yeah, it's from 10:00 to 11:45. it's amazing being here. >> a lot of these people, if it wasn't for special olympics, wouldn't have a reason to leave the house during the day. but they are actively engaged in their program. they have a coach who mentors them and keeps track of them. they are going to practice a couple, three times a week. it gives them a lot of self-confidence. >> reporter: and taking a live look at some of the athletes here after they have competed in their events. right next to where we are standing is the san jose police department. a lot of law enforcement agencies are involved in fundraising and supporting this event. there is about 150 of them from different law enforcement agencies from all over northern california that helped raise money for the event because the organizers say it's important for them to be able to have

their athletes train and compete in this event entirely for free. all the folks, all the athletes and their families aren't paying anything to do it. they are here for the overall experience. it sounds like based on what we have heard from people, talking to them today, it's been a very good experience for them so far. back you. >> really amazing. amazing spirit. we wish them all the luck in the game. thanks so much. well, 15 great white sharks were spotted swimming together off sea cliff state beach in aptos, and they were less than a mile offshore. a boat captain for whale watching tours say the sharks are between 8 and 15 feet long. state park officials posted the warning signs and they canceled some junior lifeguard competitions, but they say the beach is still going to stay open and will stay open this weekend. >> you know, the guy who took those pictures from the helicopter of those 15 sharks, he said it was a real treat to see that many sharks in the water. you know, not really a treat if

your view. it's a beautiful shot. we will continue with the mix of sun and clouds for your saturday. and we are looking at temperatures coming down. temperatures are already cooler this morning in many areas. 59 in areas around santa rosa. san francisco low 60s as well as oakland. livermore 67. 63 san jose. temperatures are beginning to rebound just a bit as we get into the second part of your morning. here is a look at the system or make that two different weather elements in the forecast for your saturday. this high pressure over the four corners actually helping to drag in monsoonle moisture. there is a red flag warning over lake tahoe due to the possibility of dry lightning. thunderstorms for the afternoon. today as well as tomorrow. if you are going to the sierra, be prepared for that. at home low clouds. the marine layer is thicker. the on shore breeze is stronger. and our temperatures are falling. this morning we are cooler and we will be cooler for the afternoon. has to do with the system that
