in court on monday but did not show up. hill's bond has been revoked and there is a $425,000 bench warrant that has been issued for his arrest. san francisco teenager has been arrested accused of carrying out a series of armed robberies including the mugging of a girl with cerebral palsy. the boy is accused of following her off of a bus as she was heading to school and robbing her of her iphone at gunpoint. that happened at turk and pierce street on june 9th. the other robberies happened in the western division of the neighborhood. the teenager was booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of three robberies. walnut creek police are warning drivers after a series of catalytic converter thefts. they found 13 were stolen mostly from toyotas. the thefts happened between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in the area of citrus and walnut avenues and springfield

it's up from 10%. it has burned 3,000 acres. you can see some of the damage to the home there is. they say the cause was likely manmade. a military plane was having engine trouble just before it crashed into a neighborhood in indonesia yesterday. the chief of indonesia's airport told the pilot he needed to turn back to the airport. today crews using heavy equipment they started to remove the plane that struck a building, apartments, and shops inside. at least 141 people were killed there. the faa is investigating why a single engine plane ran off the runway at the rio vestal airport yesterday. the plane had taken off from concord buchanan field just before 11:00. the plane ran off the side of the runway and into a drainage ditch. three people were on board and one reported a minor injury. the pilot and two passengers were out of the plane by the

time police got there. several new laws go into effect in the state today. one gives millions of additional workers paid sick leave. the new law requires workers get three paid sick leaves during the year. another new law increases over sight on fracking in california. it will require permits disclosure of what chemicals are used, water testing, and studies of the fracking's impact. and ride sharing companies such as uber and lift that use amateur drivers that transport people for a fee will have to buy more insurance. california governor jerry brown signed a brand new bill creating one of the strictest school vaccination laws in the nation. as ken wayne reports it means parents will no longer be able to opt out of immunizing their

welcome back it's 4:54. we're learning more details about the way the two men escaped from the the maximum security prison in new york. david sweat the man captured monday says he was the master mind behind the escape. they pulled the whole thing off twice. sweat says the night before they actually got away, he and richard matt navigated a series of tunnels and popped out of a manhole but there were too many homes in the area so they decided to try a different manhole the next night. the district attorney's office is now investigating how this went unnoticed after three
