there were these players. meet the talented dudes that did it first. >> i was like, oh, my what? [ laughter ] video starts with the young girl by the name of alexis. she's on vacation on a 100 foot cat maran. she's enjoying a day trip. starts off, everyone's having fun. shortly after that, you see people wearing their life jackets. >> there's water in the bottom of the boat. >> the party music abruptly ends. you begin to see the boat lifting. shortly after, people begin to slide across as the list becomes more extreme. you hear people screaming in the background when water begins to splash on deck. this catamaran does go down.

alexis knows enough about swimming that she's removed her life jacket. she didn't want to get trapped underneath that canopy. you see many survivors out of the boat and drifting in the water. this incident killed three people. and you can hear alexis sees one of them. >> i think he's dead. >> this experience very traumatic, as you might imagine. this incident happened a year and a half ago. she's joining us via skype. thank you so much for sharing your video and your story. take us through this experience a little bit. >> it's kind of hard listening to that. i haven't watched the video footage again since i released it. i think it's something the general public need to see to

hold them responsible. they blamed it on high winds and choppy seas. it was kind of windy that day. we were about an hour and a half into the trip. they said there's a problem. the boat tilts. once it hits the water, it was down in 30 seconds. >> you went from music and margaritas to sinking. what was going through your mind? >> i said at the beginning, as long as there's still margaritas, that's fine. i did not think it was going to sink. >> tell us more about your experience that day. >> i know i was facing a lot of harsh criticism online, you should be sued for not helping others. there was an hour of footage to begin with. when they came up with the fishing boat, the smaller boat that picked up the raft i was with, they threw the rope. they were trying to get us to attach the rope to our raft.

you try to do what you can to help others. i think recording everything helped me in a lot of ways. it was important that people see this some day. >> how have you moved on after this experience? >> it's taken a lot. when i first got back home, i couldn't fall asleep without seeing water. i've taken advantage of the counselors at school and whatnot. you're sitting there going, i'm going to go hang out on this island for a day and everything goes down. ♪ i learned something interesting about wildlife control. they are a franchise that allows you to buy one so you can go do this. you can get one of these franchises so you too could rescue animals. we have a video set up because that mama squirrel she had her

babies inside someone's home. they blocked the area so she couldn't go back in with her babies. those are those babies in that box because they want to see this rescue. >> so the folks went in, put them in the box here and left it up to mom to relocate them to a new home. >> exactly. but mom is a little skittish at first. her home was basically condemned. her babies were put in this box. she's like you know what, i'm taking them. so she grabs one. mom scampers up onto the roof. then she comes back. no squirrel left behind in canada. can't help but think what they must be thinking inside that bright green box. >> now i'm dying to know where she took them. >> neighbor's house, in the

attic. the woman recording this video is confronting this man with a plaid shirt. the guy turns around and then the camera points at a bag he's holding. she beliefs he's been photographing up her skirt using a camera in the bag. watch this. this is a really bizarre part of the video. he takes a memory card from the camera, puts it in his mouth and breaks it. >> he's essentially destroying evidence which says hi, i'm guilty. >> so bizarre. >> as soon as the train arrives, the doors open. he gets out as fast as he can and runs down the street. >> a rat in the cage. how does it feel with the camera in your face? little creep. >> why would you run if you didn't do anything? you know what time it is?
