that frank said we would find with one of them. holding hoffa's body. is that metal? yes something is definitely metal. we found several round. shaped metal objects buried here somewhere on top of each other, which fits frank's story. exactly so this would be this. this would be the spy the fbi cota's quote as with any missing person investigation, the fbi's committed to locating mr hoffa throughout the nearly 46 years since mr hoffa's disappearance, people have come forward with tips and information when we are able to develop credible leads from those tips, we pursue them and will continue to do so until the case is solved. it is illegal for fox news to dig in the spot. this land is owned by the new jersey department of transportation, but with authorities now pursuing this tip, it is help that law enforcement will soon dig here to find out if this is the final resting place, subject me often under the pulaski skyway in jersey city, new jersey

america show on fox news. oh all right. he'd take a look at the temperatures from today. pretty much the warmest day. we're going to see it for a few days. although it's going to stay mild out there warm. we had 92 in fairfield today. we had 91 of the annual what's going to change? tomorrow is a little bit more sea breeze and fog at the coast. and so that's gonna take these temperatures kind of, you know these coastal areas and even in the bay and dropping a few degrees i suspect inland, though we could easily see an upper 80. maybe alone. 91 to get out tojo clear or andy, aka one of those areas, so the high pressure is building in significantly and zach be what you would expect for this time of year is the pacific high. it sets up. it allows the farm reform, not stable environment. the high pressure kind of lets seduction fog happened. so that's coming back tomorrow, at least by the afternoon, and that's where the cooling will come from. but inland spots will still see though in mid eighties and even operate ease. outside we go. no fog in san francisco, yet i suspect by them all night, we'll be looking at a bit of fog. there the temperatures outside right now are generally in the fifties. we did have some sixties earlier this
9:48 pm
evening like 68 degrees out towards conquer will take a look at those next. but winds have died down. it was bright, breezy for a time today. i'm not sure about that brentwood number right? or that conquered number but maybe 72. these are automatic. auto plants. we call them so 72 conquered 68 fairfield might be last hour, but you're still you get the idea. these inland spots have not cooled much is the sea breeze isn't really happening. sonia sotomayor ning warmer than last night by eight degrees out in fairfield, there's the big ridge of high pressure. million diagram it because you know what? just that big swath of clouds going over the top. we do have a nice looking day tomorrow. we have a nice looking day on friday. saturday and sunday. we will see some more clouds tomorrow and friday, partly there's tomorrow. right? so there's tonight you see the clouds move in partly cloudy, partly sunny and temperatures, yellows or seventies oranges or eighties and if you could see him in, there are oranges in there, but they're kind of under the cloud cover. that's most could be kind of a little bit about partly to powder to. mostly cloudy at times 85 fairfield tomorrow, so that's down from your 90 85 cognac. i suspect. yeah. w w right. there may be a
9:49 pm
little bit warmer. so we're splitting hairs 85 90 it zal still pretty nice. so the five day forecast the breezy conditions cup on saturday and that's gonna mark some significant cooling on that they will are more significant cooling on that day, then temperatures just kind of work your way back up on sunday and monday, so we're into a spring like pattern right now and again. i went looking for rain earlier tonight. it's ah, earlier newscast in and i didn't see any out there very passive 70 10 days, so let's i want to drive for a while. when we come back tonight at 10. we'll look at the had long range model. all right, expected to be warm for a while, bill. thank you. well a lot of people are heading up the folsom lake in sacramento county to see a super bloom of wildflowers. purple lupin zehr, covering the dry lake bed in the shoreline. they're experts say super blooms happened when the timing of temperatures, rainfall and dry spells are aligned. just right. on average, they bloom just 2 to 4 weeks, every 10 years or so. i've been here 30 years and i think it's just that rare
9:50 pm
instance where there's not enough water in the lake, and there's not too much heat. so when you get the combination, you get the flowers we thought would be a nice treatment. just come take a look at the view and everything and all these beautiful flowers that was just growing in the wild is kind of perfect too, because we got we got to take mother's day photos. photographers say it's best to start early to capture the best light and to avoid the crowds. the loop ins are said to be such a popular attraction that the parking lot fills up quickly. yeah i bet so. so pretty there. alright the nasa astronaut who piloted apollo 11 around the moon while buzz aldrin and neil armstrong made their historic landing, unfortunately, has died. all right here, their trip of ours to the moon may have looked to you simple or easy. i'd like to hear that. that has not been the case. michael collins died 90 years old after battling cancer, nasa released a
9:51 pm
statement about colin's death, saying the nation lost a true pioneer and a lifelong advocate for exploration. coming up tonight, all eyes are on the 49ers ahead of tomorrow's nfl draft and coming up next our sports director mark evans will join us to talk about what we can expect now, though, let's get over to ktvu frank somerville in the newsroom with a look at some of the story. we're working on for the 10 o'clock news, frank. alex. thank you coming up tonight at 10 housing dispute led to a deadly shooting today in antioch. we hear from neighbors who say they heard several gunshots right in the middle of the day and new information about a deadly fire in solano county last year. authorities now say that fire was deliberately set to cover up a very serious crime, those stories

chicago bulls, which, of course included six championships along the way, sutherby says these specific shoes or perhaps the most recognizable for jordan, the auction house is expecting bids to fly anywhere from $110,000 to over $160,000. i can see. there's a little bit of where from the game on the shoes, which really adds to the character and the story of these of these beautiful and iconic pair of shoes in may of 2020, another pair of game worn sneakers from jordan's rookie season fetched a record 560,000, but they were signed by the superstar shoes. they're part of the first ever sneakers only auction by sotheby's, which includes shoes from the warrior steph curry. the auction closes on mate. yeah, everybody knows i like shoes i would love to have my collection. all right. the biggest story, though in sports is the nfl draft, which
9:56 pm
of course, is coming up tomorrow. a lot of talk about this. and of course, all eyes will be on the 49ers to see who they will take with their number free pick. most experts say the niners will be choosing from one of these three quarterbacks. justin fields from ohio state mac jones from alabama and trade lance from north dakota state sports director market bindiya is joining us now and mark. obviously the big question. do we have a sense of which way the 49ers might be leaving here with this pick? well, i got to tell you, you have always said opinions like belly buttons. everybody's happened. everybody diverted something, but i gotta tell you, i have covered the 49ers. draft since 1978 think of the people they've drafted. i mean, joe montana, ronnie lott, jerry rice. alex smith was a number one pick never seen so much interested in 49ers draft. and yes, i think we're getting a sense for who they're going to go with, and that would be mac jones out of
9:57 pm
alabama with the number three pick, and the reasons for that is nobody has come out with the 49ers organization and specifically said that, but he comes out of that. show championship program and has played against top competition not as physically gifted as some of the other guys but apparently reportedly, anyway, it quick study came out of a pro style offense and he might be more like what you might say plug and play ready to go. and that probably wouldn't bode well for jimmy garoppolo, so future with the 49ers if they think he can come in and be the pocket passer that apparently kyle shanahan. long's four so he doesn't run much like the other guys. and that is the reason in this day and age in the nfl that i would kind of like to see them select trey lance out of north dakota. i mean, he's only played in one game this past year for covid and pandemic reasons, but this guy and absolute physical specimen he might be a ways
9:58 pm
away, which would allow the 49ers to have him be an understudy to jimmy garoppolo this year, but his report deadly, extremely conscientious is like a sponge. he wants to learn everything, and i just think his upside is huge. and you give him a couple of years. he'll pick it up. he wants to be great and in the long term view of the 49ers, i would pick trey lance. but i predict they will go with mac jones, which may be a safer selection. we'll see. yeah, yeah, well, we'll see if you're right mark, but let's assume that the 49ers do in fact, pick one of those. what does this mean for jimmy g and his fate with the team? well i think you know, i think if they picked mac jones, i think they'll really perk up their interest in entertaining offers from other teams, because i think mack jones probably more ready to play in the nfl. all right now, if they do we roll the dice a little
9:59 pm
bit with trey. lance i think that would mean jimmy g is in their plans for the near future the season, but they have reportedly been very, very straight with jimmy garoppolo and said, look, you've been injured two out of the last three years. we need to upgrade as far as the backup mean when garoppolo went down with the knee injury and then an ankle injury this year, they were done. they weren't going to contend for a super bowl. and that leaves the entire organization in a bad spot because this roster is ready to compete for a super bowl, and they need a big time quarterback to do that, and they're rolling it out, given up to future first round picks to try and ensure that opportunity, guys, it is gonna be a big pick mark a lot of pressure on the night is to get this one, right? yeah, it's good. it's gonna be huge. and like i say, i've never seen this kind of interest. and in a 49ers draft and they'll be picking before six o'clock
10:00 pm
tomorrow, so we'll see. we'll be watching by then. will you got it's exciting? sure is it really can't wait. all right, frank and julie up next. the 10 o'clock news starts right now, they seize the 10 o'clock news on ktvu box, too. for the first time president joe biden addresses a joint session of congress tonight touting his 1st 100 days in office and his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. could report to the nation. america is on the move again. our progress these past 100 days against one of the worst pandemics in history has been one of the greatest logistical achievements. logistical achievements this country's ever seen. the president spoke for more than an hour and covered everything from police brutality to gun violence to climate change. good evening, everyone i'm frank somerville and i'm julie julie haener. the bi
