hear if you have to say because he was just kind of like growl here or whatever. and there was friendly people on the richmond san feld bridge. i missed the toll takers, i will say, but now that they're no longer there, i'd rather not have the toll parade. all right. henry tells us a safety issue that they should be removed. that's the faster because sometimes you feel like you're going like you're going a million miles an hour. and ok, let's you want to cut it too close. speaking of cutting it too close, we have to leave you but we would love to hear from you send us your questions. if you want to send them through social or send a video of yourself asking the questions. we'd love to share it re on like >> i'm anna garcia right now on true crime news. more of our true crime news exclusive with john ramsey. his fight for a dna test do over as he reveals crucial evidence, including a murder weapon that was never tested.
1:31 pm
>> i can touch this. my dna is there now. they can find that with today's technology, they didn't have that 30 years ago. >> music lyrics end in death. rapper julio foolio a million instagram followers on the path to stardom in the yard should have had his gun, but the music ended. not in a blaze of glory but in gunfire. ambushed on his birthday. >> he's the right front passenger in that vehicle. >> so who had it out for julio? then from nfl star to convicted killer, the new series about aaron hernandez, seven years after his suicide in his cell. >> you have so many secrets. it must be a lot of pressure. >> your daily source for true crime starts right now. welcome to true crime news, our top story today. more of my exclusive new interview with john ramsey. he is, of course, the father of murdered child
1:32 pm
beauty queen jonbenet ramsey. today, ramsey lives off the grid knowing full well that there are people out there who still wonder if he had anything to do with her death. but would you believe that even with all of this global attention that the case has received, there are still pieces of evidence from the crime scene that have never been tested? how can that be? >> we've been overwhelmed by people that have apologized to us for what's been done to us, and what's been said about us. we're grateful for that, and i'm sure there's a cadre of people that still think we're horrible, child murdering people. >> testing has proven that neither john ramsey nor his deceased wife patsy, nor son burke, are connected to the murder of jonbenet. they were all exonerated back in 2008 by forensic science, but the stain of suspicion lingers, and john ramsey still wants one question answered. my goal right now is
1:33 pm
really to get an answer as to who did this for the sake of my family, for my children, their children. >> this is a cloud that still hangs over our family and it's not fair. it's not right, but it's there. >> various items have been sent to cellmark diagnostics in maryland for dna testing. the items were delivered on tuesday of this week. >> john claims that cloud formed in the first days of the murder by the boulder police department. >> there were no visible signs of forced entry into the home. it appeared that someone may have known the home well, that would indicate to me that there is not just a random act they wanted to bring pressure on patsy and i. >> we were told by the da that was said. their case is solely that you didn't act right that morning and they're going to bring intense pressure on you so that the innocent one will turn the other one in, or one of you
1:34 pm
will commit suicide and the case will be solved. that was their whole strategy. >> and john's personal beef with the boulder police has hardly mellowed with time. >> they didn't know what they were doing, and i never criticized them for that. they were into bicycle thefts and parking tickets, and that was their expertise. homicide. good lord, no. >> but jonbenet's murder remains an open homicide case. and according to investigative reporter paula woodward, the boulder police have been less than relentless in their pursuit of justice. >> my feelings have been frustration at the incompetence and lack of comprehension on why it has continued for almost 28 years, i believe it can be solved with genealogy dna. if they would simply do that, there could be a resolution to this case. >> dna, genealogy technology, an elaborate way of saying websites
1:35 pm
like 23 andme and myheritage.com, which have been crucial in solving many other cold cases. law enforcement can use dna to zero in on suspects through their family networks, and they can also draw evidence from barely transposable sample, otherwise known as touch dna. >> i can touch this and my dna is there. now they can find that with today's technology. they didn't have that 30 years ago. my worry is reluctance to retest and just say, we don't think technology has advanced far enough, which is absolute nonsense. it's because they've lost or misplaced the evidence in order to find out, john and paula have petitioned colorado governor polis to use his executive authority to take over the case from boulder pd. >> they want another agency to do top level, state of the art
1:36 pm
testing that petition now has more than 35,000 signatures. >> they react to pressure, and we want to keep intense pressure on the police, primarily because they still are the authority of this case to do the right thing. if they don't succumb to pressure and do the right thing, it won't be solved. >> and while a cold case review is currently considering a transfer, the ramsey family remains in the dark. so is it possible that some of the evidence could be being tested right now? >> possible. we don't know. they won't tell us anything. >> john spends his days pushing for a breakthrough in his daughter's case and helping other families who have lost children to violent crime. >> i'm equipped to help families that have lost their child. i couldn't have done that before. so i'm very open and anxious to talk to families and help them. nothing's worse than losing a child. as for his own sweet jonbenet, he won't stop until her killer is found. the only
1:37 pm
thing with the loss of a child, you never get over it. you think about it almost every day i see a little blond headed girl hanging onto her dad's arm, and it tugs at my heart. but i know jonbenet is safe. she's in heaven. >> now, we asked you in our true crime news poll, do you think investigators should test this evidence? here are the results. the overwhelming majority of you said yes. investigators should test this evidence. you can continue to vote on true crime news.com. we reached out to the boulder police department for a response to john's accusations. they had this to say because this is an active and ongoing investigation, the boulder police department is unable to answer specific questions without jeopardizing the integrity of the investigation. next, a murder this summer of a rapper hunted down on his own birthday. he went by the name julio foolio with 1 million
1:38 pm
followers on instagram. he was on the edge of glory, but with glory comes envy. in his music videos, he openly bragged about his beefs with rivals. >> he should have had his gun. a friend say he's smoking baby now, his big dumb and my lungs. >> but it was another kind of video, a surveillance video that ultimately played one of the biggest roles in julio julio's life and death. what started out as a birthday bash for a rising rap star christie to everybody popping out from a birthday lohin and caught on surveillance video. >> gentlemen wearing the red beanie hat ended in an ambush. >> surprise. as a man is hunted in the pre-dawn hours to a florida hotel. >> tampa, florida. man, you already got added to the pool party. >> charles jones was out
1:39 pm
celebrating his 26th birthday with friends in tampa. investigators say the florida rap star, also known as julio foolio, can be seen here on surveillance camera. when the night started at a scheduled event at a local club and watch as jones and his friends moved to another club. someone in this car is following their every move as the party keeps moving, jones is letting his fans know in real time where he's headed on his insta account. run out in the yard. >> should have had his gun. >> police say. the rap artist seen here in a recent video is well known for feuding with gang members. >> this is at the hotel and you can see the shooters as he waits in this car at the hotel. >> you can see several people with guns get into position and then open fire in a barrage of bullets. >> he's the passenger in that car that's moving and trying to flee, and they're still shooting at him. he's the right front passenger in that vehicle.
1:40 pm
>> this gunman launching a brutal attack in the parking lo. >> it was found that the shooters are members of or affiliated with rival gangs of jones that go by atk and 1200. jones was part of the six block gang. detectives believe that the atk and the 1200 worked together to target jones as part of an ongoing feud in jacksonville, and so the feud that started in jacksonville ended in tampa with the murder of charles jones, the man who used his music to glorify gang violence killed stop, stop. >> one month after the brazen attack, keep walking. now turn around in the middle of the rai. jacksonville sheriff's deputies nabbed three of the suspects. >> keep coming. walk back to me. >> hillsborough county state attorney susy lopez joining law enforcement from tampa and jacksonville, announcing the charges. >> let me be clear. the feud
