to be a desperate husband pleading for his missing wife to come home. >> if you are anywhere, if you are able to listen this just, you know, like for my baby, you know, like you got to be here as soon as possible. >> but after looking closer, police say it was all an act alleging that naresh bought knew all along that his wife was only missing because they say he killed her. >> this all points to one person, which is naresh. >> the new murder charges, coming nearly six months after she was first reported missing and despite never finding mamta's body. this was mamta and naresh with their newborn baby girl. many couldn't understand how she could go missing just days before her daughter's first birthday. >> there's a lot of people that knew montoyo came forward. we've learned a lot in this case about her and what she was dealing with. >> police say they grew

suspicious the more they heard from naresh about his wife's whereabouts. >> we're looking for a miss mountcastle. >> and this is what he told police captured on body cams during a welfare check. after mamta didn't show up for work, she left and then she says he's going to go either newark or texas. >> and then she looked like she had the phone. and then she destroy that phone. and then she left. >> it didn't add up, right? at first it was she didn't come home. and then it was she went to go visit some family members. >> a massive search ensued. mamta's coworkers and dozens of volunteers joined for weeks to help find the missing mom. >> if you see something, please say something. >> but with no sign of mamta, reporters started asking the obvious question is she alive or dead? >> we don't know. >> now, weeks later, chief mario lugo with the manassas park police department says there is

enough blood evidence to charge naresh with killing her. >> i just know that whatever happened in that house, it was murder. >> a violent death, just steps from where mamta posed for the family photo. >> she said crime scene forensic investigators even described it as one of the worst crime scenes they've ever been to in their history. >> police say blood stains were on the carpet in the couple's bedroom and bathroom. >> at that time, they could only confirm that it was blood. they didn't confirm if it was mamta, so it had to be sent back to a lab, go through some processing. they had to actually find mamta's dna on other stuff in the house to match it. >> they also found large pools of blood. they say they believe someone attempted to clean up, and according to investigators, it appeared as if a body was dragged through the home. police also collected gps evidence from this blue tesla, seen here being

driven by naresh, who allegedly sold the car just days before mamta was reported missing. police saying that naresh may have discarded her body after killing her. >> i asked chief lugo for some clarification. he says, look nana, from the evidence that we have, from the surveillance that we have, we believe that naresh cut up her body and spread her body parts in different parts of northern virginia. >> but now, in spite of the fact they still have not found mamta or her body, the police chief says they believe it's murder. and they believe naresh did it. >> i feel we have a strong case for not having a body. >> naresh was set to go on trial on a single charge of concealing a body. but now with the new murder charge, along with a new charge of defiling a dead body, his trial has been set for late 2025. mamta's family is still holding out hope that her body

vanished into the night. it was just after 11 p.m. on an april night, when becky laid out her daughter's softball uniform for a game. the next morning, she kissed isabel goodnight, not knowing it was the last time she would ever see her. >> i'm like, okay, isabel, you're getting really tired. it's probably time for you to go to bed and you have to get up early and so does mom. >> but the next morning, after becky left for work, sergio headed to isabel's room to wake her up and the little girl was gone. >> boys are waking up at this point and so i'm like, do you know where your sister is at? and they were like, no. and started looking everywhere and then started saying, boys, help me find her. i don't know where she's at. >> sergio and his suns frantically searched the house and the yard. then one of the boys comes to him with chilling news and i'm looking in the garage. >> and that's when sergio came running in, saying dad, her. her screen's laying on the back, you know, her windows busted out. >> sergio races to the backyard

and finds isabel's bedroom window wide open, the screen on the ground. it looks like someone snatched little isabel from her own bed. >> kind of, you know, freaking out at this point. came back in here called becky at work. >> i can't remember the drive at all. i just know that i was freaking out and scared, and i just out of my mind. >> becky calls 911, barely holding it together. >> who noticed her gun? your husband? my husband. i went to work this morning at seven, and i just. and i didn't even come and check on her. i should have come and check on her. okay, you're almost there, ma'am. okay. >> i'm in the backyard. police find a set of work boot footprints near an electrical box and on top of a gas meter. then a shocker. cops turn the spotlight on sergio, isabel's father, while becky's call to 911 appeared to be panicked.

sergio's was anything but. >> hello? i need to report a missing child. i believe she was abducted from my house. is mom there also? and she had just left for work. i just called her and i told her to get her back home. >> nervous laughter. some might consider that suspicious. the way sergio explains it, he just couldn't bring himself to believe isabel was gone. >> i didn't want to be frantic. i didn't want to be panicked. i wanted to be as articulate as i could. you know? i didn't want to be misunderstood. >> as the months pass, the rest of the celis family is also under police scrutiny. >> all the family members have been interviewed and we haven't ruled anybody out. >> from the beginning, the police said everybody's a person of interest. we're okay with going going through the ringer and having every everything part of our lives investigated and by all means, go right ahead. >> one other person of interest, a neighbor who lived a few miles

further than right here. that's what is so frustrating. >> meanwhile, isabel's own family members are still under the microscope. out of desperation, they hired their own private investigator, gerry snyder, who starts turning over investigative stones. >> we looked at one of the relatives of the family and his friend that basically didn't have six hours that they could explain as to where they were the day that she went missing, but that avenue falls flat almost immediately when the person in question has a solid alibi. >> out of thousands of leads, not one is panning out. then finally, five years after isabel disappeared into the night, a much needed break. remember career criminal christopher clements? he was in jail on a burglary charge. when the fbi gets a call from his fiancee, who says clements knows where the little girl is buried, and

he leads them to the spot as part of a deal. that deal was to help police find her in exchange for having the burglary charges dropped. he claims even though he knows where she's buried, he didn't kill her. police don't buy it. >> you told us where she was. >> so i know that you know a lot more. you have to. just by the mere fact that you knew where she was, you have to know a lot more than that. >> did he ever. clements takes police straight to isabel's remains, which are very close to the remote spot where 13 year old maribel gonzalez had also been found. further evidence helps authorities make their case. cell phone records show clements was in the area the night maribel disappeared. hair samples found on her body. don't rule him out. checking clements home computer detectives discover the worst kinds of images. children, adults

engaging in all kinds of sex acts. six years after isabel celis was snatched from her parents home, police charged christopher clements with first degree murder and kidnaping. in both cases. first, he goes on trial for marabell. a few months later, he faces trial for little isabel, but it ends in a hung jury. clements was retried this year, with prosecutors focusing on cell phone data rather than dna evidence. this time, justice is finally done for little isa and her parents. by now, clements was already serving a life sentence for maribel's murder. that didn't stop the judge from slapping on another life sentence. plus 20 years. an outcome that won't bring isa back as her parents live with the pain of losing her for the rest of their lives. isabel's

involving an elvis impersonator, a karate teacher, an attack on an elephant. and if that is not enough, there is a connection to the tiger king. it was a chilling crime scene. federal agents in hazmat suits worked the crime scene after a cold hearted suspect used the internet to concoct ricin poison, he sent ricin laced letters to then-president barack obama, u.s. senator roger wicker, and mississippi judge sadie holland. it caused a national scare. fortunately, no one died. the fbi accused mississippi based elvis impersonator kevin curtis of the crime, but he insists he didn't do it. now, curtis is telling his dramatic story in the netflix docuseries the kings of tupelo a southern crime saga. >> i had a peaceful, nice life, but one person hated me and made my life a living hell.
